1. బంగారము ఎట్లు మందగిలినది? మేలిమి బంగారము ఎట్లు మార్చబడినది? ప్రతి వీధి మొగను ప్రతిష్టితమైన రాళ్లు పారవేయ బడియున్నవి.

1. ALEPH. How will the gold be tarnished, and the fine silver changed! The sacred stones have been poured forth at the top of all the streets.

2. మేలిమి బంగారముతో పోల్చదగిన సీయోను ప్రియ కుమారులు ఎట్లు కుమ్మరి చేసిన మంటికుండలుగా ఎంచబడు చున్నారు?

2. BETH. The precious sons of Zion, who were equaled in value with gold, how are they counted as earthen vessels, the works of the hands of the potter!

3. నక్కలైనను చన్నిచ్చి తమ పిల్లలకు పాలిచ్చును నా జనుల కుమారి యెడారిలోని ఉష్ట్రపక్షులవలె క్రూరురాలాయెను.

3. GIMEL. Nay, serpents have drawn out the breasts, they give suck to their young, the daughters of my people are incurably cruel, as an ostrich in a desert.

4. దప్పిచేత చంటిపిల్ల నాలుక వాని అంగిటికి అంటుకొనును పసిపిల్లలు అన్నమడుగుదురు ఎవడును వారికి పెట్టడు.

4. DALETH. The tongue of the sucking child cleaves to the roof of its mouth for thirst: the little children ask for bread, and there is none to break it for them.

5. సుకుమార భోజనము చేయువారు దిక్కు లేక వీధులలో పడియున్నారు రక్తవర్ణ వస్త్రములు తొడిగి పెంచబడినవారు పెంట కుప్పలను కౌగిలించుకొనెదరు.

5. HE. They that feed on dainties are desolate in the streets; they that used to be nursed in scarlet have clothed themselves with dung.

6. నా జనుల కుమారి చేసిన దోషము సొదొమ పాపముకంటె అధికము ఎవరును దానిమీద చెయ్యి వేయకుండనే నిమిషములో ఆ పట్టణము పాడుచేయబడెను.

6. VAU. And the iniquity of the daughter of my people has been increased beyond the iniquities of Sodom, [the city] that was overthrown very suddenly, and none labored against her [with their] hands.

7. దాని ఘనులు హిమముకన్న శుద్ధమైనవారు వారు పాలకంటె తెల్లనివారు వారి శరీరములు పగడములకంటె ఎఱ్ఱనివి వారి దేహకాంతి నీలమువంటిది.

7. ZAIN. Her Nazarites were made purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were purified as with fire, their polishing was superior to sapphire stone.

8. అట్టివారి ఆకారము బొగ్గుకంటె నలుపాయెను వారిని వీధులలో చూచువారు వారిని గురుతు పట్ట జాలరు. వారి చర్మము వారి యెముకలకు అంటుకొనియున్నది అది యెండి కఱ్ఱవంటిదాయెను.

8. HETH. Their countenance has become blacker than smoke; they are not known in the streets: their skin has cleaved to their bones; they are withered, they have become as a stick.

9. క్షామహతులు భూఫలములు లేక పొడువబడి క్షీణించి పోయెదరు ఖడ్గహతులు క్షామహతులకన్న భాగ్యవంతులు.

9. TETH. The slain with the sword were better than they that were slain with hunger; they have departed, pierced through from lack of the fruits of the field.

10. వాత్సల్యముగల స్త్రీల చేతులు తాము కనిన పిల్లలను వండుకొనెను నా జనుల కుమారికి వచ్చిన నాశనములో వారి బిడ్డలు వారికి ఆహారమైరి.

10. JOD. The hands of tender hearted women have boiled their own children; they became meat for them in the destruction of the daughter of my people.

11. యెహోవా తన ఉగ్రతను నెరవేర్చి తన కోపాగ్నిని కుమ్మరించెను సీయోనులో ఆయన అగ్ని రాజబెట్టెను అది దాని పునాదులను కాల్చివేసెను.

11. CHAPH. The Lord has accomplished His wrath; He has poured out fierce anger, and has kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured her foundations.

12. బాధించువాడుగాని విరోధిగాని యెరూషలేము గవునులలోనికి వచ్చునని భూరాజులకైనను లోకనివాసులందరిలో మరి ఎవరికైనను తోచియుండలేదు.

12. LAMED. The kings of the earth, even all that dwell in the world, believed not that an enemy and oppressor would enter through the gates of Jerusalem.

13. దానిలో నీతిమంతుల రక్తమును ఓడ్చిన దాని ప్రవక్తల పాపములనుబట్టియు దాని యాజకుల దోషమునుబట్టియు

13. MEM. For the sins of her prophets, and iniquities of her priests, who shed righteous blood in the midst of her,

14. జనులు వీధులలో అంధులవలె తిరుగులాడెదరు వారు రక్తము అంటిన అపవిత్రులు ఎవరును వారి వస్త్రములను ముట్టకూడదు.

14. NUN. Her watchmen staggered in the streets, they were defiled with blood in their weakness, they touched their clothing with it.

15. పొమ్ము అపవిత్రుడా, పొమ్ము పొమ్ము ముట్టవద్దని జనులు వారితో ననిరి. వారు పారిపోయి తిరుగులాడుచుండగా అన్యజనులైన వారు ఇకను వారిక్కడ కాపురముండకూడదని చెప్పు కొనిరి

15. SAMECH. Depart from the unclean ones; call them: depart, depart, touch [them] not: for they are on fire, yea, they stagger. Say among the nations, They shall no more sojourn [there].

16. యెహోవా సన్నిధిని వారిని చెదరగొట్టెను ఆయన ఇకమీదట వారిని లక్ష్యపెట్టడు యాజకులయెడల జనులు గౌరవము చూపకపోయిరి పెద్దలమీద దయ చూపకపోయిరి.

16. AIN. The presence of the Lord was their portion; but He will not again look upon them. They regarded not the person of the priests; they pitied not the prophets.

17. వ్యర్థసహాయముకొరకు మేము కనిపెట్టుచుండగా మా కన్నులు క్షీణించుచున్నవి మేము కనిపెట్టుచు రక్షింపలేని జనముకొరకు ఎదురు చూచుచుంటిమి.

17. PHE. While we yet lived our eyes failed, while we looked in vain for our help. TSADE. We looked to a nation that could not save.

18. రాజవీధులలో మేము నడువకుండునట్టు విరోధులు మా జాడలనుబట్టి వెంటాడుదురు మా అంత్యదశ సమీపమాయెను మా దినములు తీరిపోయినవి మా అంత్యదశ వచ్చే యున్నది.

18. We have hunted for our little ones, that they should not walk in our streets. KOPH. Our time has drawn near, our days are fulfilled, our time has come.

19. మమ్మును తరుమువారు ఆకాశమున ఎగురు పక్షిరాజుల కన్న వడిగలవారు పర్వతములమీద వారు మమ్మును తరుముదురు అరణ్యమందు మాకొరకు పొంచియుందురు.

19. Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the sky, they flew on the mountains, in the wilderness they laid wait for us.

20. మాకు నాసికారంధ్రముల ఊపిరివంటివాడు యెహోవాచేత అభిషేకము నొందినవాడు వారు త్రవ్విన గుంటలలో పట్టబడెను.

20. RECHS. The breath of our nostrils, our anointed Lord, was taken in their destructive snares, of whom we said, In His shadow we shall live among the Gentiles.

21. అతని నీడక్రిందను అన్యజనుల మధ్యను బ్రదికెదమని మేమనుకొన్నవాడు పట్టబడెను. ఊజు దేశములో నివసించు ఎదోము కుమారీ, సంతోషించుము ఉత్సహించుము ఈ గిన్నెలోనిది త్రాగుట నీ పాలవును నీవు దానిలోనిది త్రాగి మత్తిల్లి నిన్ను దిగంబరినిగా చేసికొందువు

21. CHSEN. Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwell in the land; yet the cup of the Lord shall pass through to you: you shall be drunken, and pour forth.

22. సీయోను కుమారీ, నీ దోషశిక్ష సమాప్తమాయెను ఇకమీదట ఆయన మరెన్నడును నిన్ను చెరలోనికి కొనిపోడు ఎదోము కుమారీ, నీ దోషమునకు ఆయన శిక్ష విధించును నీ పాపములను ఆయన వెల్లడిపరచును.

22. THAU. O daughter of Zion, your iniquity has come to an end; He shall no longer carry you captive: He has visited your iniquities, O daughter of Edom; He has discovered your sins.
