1. బంగారము ఎట్లు మందగిలినది? మేలిమి బంగారము ఎట్లు మార్చబడినది? ప్రతి వీధి మొగను ప్రతిష్టితమైన రాళ్లు పారవేయ బడియున్నవి.

1. How is dimmed the gold! changed the most fine gold! Poured out are the stones of the sanctuary, at the top of all the streets.

2. మేలిమి బంగారముతో పోల్చదగిన సీయోను ప్రియ కుమారులు ఎట్లు కుమ్మరి చేసిన మంటికుండలుగా ఎంచబడు చున్నారు?

2. The precious sons of Zion, they who were weighed against pure gold, How are they accounted as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

3. నక్కలైనను చన్నిచ్చి తమ పిల్లలకు పాలిచ్చును నా జనుల కుమారి యెడారిలోని ఉష్ట్రపక్షులవలె క్రూరురాలాయెను.

3. Even wild dogs, draw out the breast, give suck to their whelps The daughter of my people, hath become cruel, like the ostriches in the desert.

4. దప్పిచేత చంటిపిల్ల నాలుక వాని అంగిటికి అంటుకొనును పసిపిల్లలు అన్నమడుగుదురు ఎవడును వారికి పెట్టడు.

4. The tongue of the suckling, cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst, Young children, have asked bread, there was none, to break, it to them.

5. సుకుమార భోజనము చేయువారు దిక్కు లేక వీధులలో పడియున్నారు రక్తవర్ణ వస్త్రములు తొడిగి పెంచబడినవారు పెంట కుప్పలను కౌగిలించుకొనెదరు.

5. They who used to eat delicacies, are deserted in the streets, They who used to be carried on crimson, have embraced heaps of refuse.

6. నా జనుల కుమారి చేసిన దోషము సొదొమ పాపముకంటె అధికము ఎవరును దానిమీద చెయ్యి వేయకుండనే నిమిషములో ఆ పట్టణము పాడుచేయబడెను.

6. And the punishment of the daughter of my people hath grown greater than the punishment of Sodom, which was overthrown as in a moment, when no hands had been laid violently upon her.

7. దాని ఘనులు హిమముకన్న శుద్ధమైనవారు వారు పాలకంటె తెల్లనివారు వారి శరీరములు పగడములకంటె ఎఱ్ఱనివి వారి దేహకాంతి నీలమువంటిది.

7. Purer were her Nazirites than snow, whiter were they than milk, more ruddy, in body, than coral, A sapphire, was their beauty of form.

8. అట్టివారి ఆకారము బొగ్గుకంటె నలుపాయెను వారిని వీధులలో చూచువారు వారిని గురుతు పట్ట జాలరు. వారి చర్మము వారి యెముకలకు అంటుకొనియున్నది అది యెండి కఱ్ఱవంటిదాయెను.

8. Darker than a coal, is their visage, They are not known in the streets Their skin shrivelleth on their bones, is withered, become like a stick.

9. క్షామహతులు భూఫలములు లేక పొడువబడి క్షీణించి పోయెదరు ఖడ్గహతులు క్షామహతులకన్న భాగ్యవంతులు.

9. Better are the slain of the sword, than the slain of the famine, for, these, pine away, stricken through, wanting the produce of the field.

10. వాత్సల్యముగల స్త్రీల చేతులు తాము కనిన పిల్లలను వండుకొనెను నా జనుల కుమారికి వచ్చిన నాశనములో వారి బిడ్డలు వారికి ఆహారమైరి.

10. The hands of compassionate women, have cooked their own children, they have served as nourishment to them, in the grievous injury of the daughter of my people.

11. యెహోవా తన ఉగ్రతను నెరవేర్చి తన కోపాగ్నిని కుమ్మరించెను సీయోనులో ఆయన అగ్ని రాజబెట్టెను అది దాని పునాదులను కాల్చివేసెను.

11. Yahweh hath completed his indignation, hath poured out the glow of his anger; and hath kindled a fire in Zion, which hath devoured her foundations.

12. బాధించువాడుగాని విరోధిగాని యెరూషలేము గవునులలోనికి వచ్చునని భూరాజులకైనను లోకనివాసులందరిలో మరి ఎవరికైనను తోచియుండలేదు.

12. Neither the kings of the earth, nor any of the inhabitants of the world, believed, that an adversary or an enemy, should enter, the gates of Jerusalem!

13. దానిలో నీతిమంతుల రక్తమును ఓడ్చిన దాని ప్రవక్తల పాపములనుబట్టియు దాని యాజకుల దోషమునుబట్టియు

13. It is for the sins of her prophets, the iniquities of her priests, who have been pouring out, in her midst, the blood of the righteous!

14. జనులు వీధులలో అంధులవలె తిరుగులాడెదరు వారు రక్తము అంటిన అపవిత్రులు ఎవరును వారి వస్త్రములను ముట్టకూడదు.

14. They have wandered blind in the streets, have defiled themselves with blood; so that men may not touch their garments.

15. పొమ్ము అపవిత్రుడా, పొమ్ము పొమ్ము ముట్టవద్దని జనులు వారితో ననిరి. వారు పారిపోయి తిరుగులాడుచుండగా అన్యజనులైన వారు ఇకను వారిక్కడ కాపురముండకూడదని చెప్పు కొనిరి

15. Turn aside! Unclean! have they cried to them, Turn aside! Turn aside! Do not touch! because they have fled, yea, wandered, Men said among the nations, They will not again tarry;

16. యెహోవా సన్నిధిని వారిని చెదరగొట్టెను ఆయన ఇకమీదట వారిని లక్ష్యపెట్టడు యాజకులయెడల జనులు గౌరవము చూపకపోయిరి పెద్దలమీద దయ చూపకపోయిరి.

16. The face of Yahweh, hath scattered them, He will look them out no more: The persons of the priests, they have not respected, To the elders, have they shown no favour.

17. వ్యర్థసహాయముకొరకు మేము కనిపెట్టుచుండగా మా కన్నులు క్షీణించుచున్నవి మేము కనిపెట్టుచు రక్షింపలేని జనముకొరకు ఎదురు చూచుచుంటిమి.

17. Silly shall our eyes fail, for our help that is vain: In our watchtower, have we watched for a nation that will not save.

18. రాజవీధులలో మేము నడువకుండునట్టు విరోధులు మా జాడలనుబట్టి వెంటాడుదురు మా అంత్యదశ సమీపమాయెను మా దినములు తీరిపోయినవి మా అంత్యదశ వచ్చే యున్నది.

18. They have laid snares for our steps, that we cannot walk in our own broadways: Drawn near hath our end, Fulfilled are our days, yea arrived hath our end.

19. మమ్మును తరుమువారు ఆకాశమున ఎగురు పక్షిరాజుల కన్న వడిగలవారు పర్వతములమీద వారు మమ్మును తరుముదురు అరణ్యమందు మాకొరకు పొంచియుందురు.

19. Swifter are our pursuers, than the eagles of the heavens, Over the mountains, have they come hotly after us, In the wilderness, have they lain in wait for us.

20. మాకు నాసికారంధ్రముల ఊపిరివంటివాడు యెహోవాచేత అభిషేకము నొందినవాడు వారు త్రవ్విన గుంటలలో పట్టబడెను.

20. The fragrance of our nostrils, The Anointed of Yahweh, hath been captured in their pits, of whom we had said In his shade, shall we live among the nations.

21. అతని నీడక్రిందను అన్యజనుల మధ్యను బ్రదికెదమని మేమనుకొన్నవాడు పట్టబడెను. ఊజు దేశములో నివసించు ఎదోము కుమారీ, సంతోషించుము ఉత్సహించుము ఈ గిన్నెలోనిది త్రాగుట నీ పాలవును నీవు దానిలోనిది త్రాగి మత్తిల్లి నిన్ను దిగంబరినిగా చేసికొందువు

21. Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, thou inhabitress in the and of Uz, Even unto thee, shall the cup pass along, thou shalt be drunken, and expose thy shame.

22. సీయోను కుమారీ, నీ దోషశిక్ష సమాప్తమాయెను ఇకమీదట ఆయన మరెన్నడును నిన్ను చెరలోనికి కొనిపోడు ఎదోము కుమారీ, నీ దోషమునకు ఆయన శిక్ష విధించును నీ పాపములను ఆయన వెల్లడిపరచును.

22. Completed is thy punishment, O daughter of Zion, He will no more carry thee away captive He hath punished thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom, he hath stripped the veil from off thy sins.
