1. బంగారము ఎట్లు మందగిలినది? మేలిమి బంగారము ఎట్లు మార్చబడినది? ప్రతి వీధి మొగను ప్రతిష్టితమైన రాళ్లు పారవేయ బడియున్నవి.

1. How the gold has become dim; the fine gold has changed! The stones of the sanctuary are poured out at the head of every street.

2. మేలిమి బంగారముతో పోల్చదగిన సీయోను ప్రియ కుమారులు ఎట్లు కుమ్మరి చేసిన మంటికుండలుగా ఎంచబడు చున్నారు?

2. The precious sons of Zion, weighed against refined gold, are counted as earthen vessels, the work of the hands of the potter!

3. నక్కలైనను చన్నిచ్చి తమ పిల్లలకు పాలిచ్చును నా జనుల కుమారి యెడారిలోని ఉష్ట్రపక్షులవలె క్రూరురాలాయెను.

3. Even the monsters draw out the breast to suckle their young. But the daughter of my people is cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.

4. దప్పిచేత చంటిపిల్ల నాలుక వాని అంగిటికి అంటుకొనును పసిపిల్లలు అన్నమడుగుదురు ఎవడును వారికి పెట్టడు.

4. The tongue of the infant cleaves to the roof of his mouth in thirst; the young children ask for bread; there is none broken to them.

5. సుకుమార భోజనము చేయువారు దిక్కు లేక వీధులలో పడియున్నారు రక్తవర్ణ వస్త్రములు తొడిగి పెంచబడినవారు పెంట కుప్పలను కౌగిలించుకొనెదరు.

5. Those who ate delicacies are desolate in the streets; those brought up in scarlet embrace refuse heaps.

6. నా జనుల కుమారి చేసిన దోషము సొదొమ పాపముకంటె అధికము ఎవరును దానిమీద చెయ్యి వేయకుండనే నిమిషములో ఆ పట్టణము పాడుచేయబడెను.

6. For the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the sin of Sodom, which was overthrown as in a moment, with no hands to writhe over her.

7. దాని ఘనులు హిమముకన్న శుద్ధమైనవారు వారు పాలకంటె తెల్లనివారు వారి శరీరములు పగడములకంటె ఎఱ్ఱనివి వారి దేహకాంతి నీలమువంటిది.

7. Her Nazirites were purer than snow, whiter than milk; they were redder of body than rubies; their polishing as sapphires.

8. అట్టివారి ఆకారము బొగ్గుకంటె నలుపాయెను వారిని వీధులలో చూచువారు వారిని గురుతు పట్ట జాలరు. వారి చర్మము వారి యెముకలకు అంటుకొనియున్నది అది యెండి కఱ్ఱవంటిదాయెను.

8. Their appearance is blacker than soot; they are not recognized in the streets; their skin has shriveled on their bones; it is dried up; it has become like wood.

9. క్షామహతులు భూఫలములు లేక పొడువబడి క్షీణించి పోయెదరు ఖడ్గహతులు క్షామహతులకన్న భాగ్యవంతులు.

9. Better off are the ones slain by the sword than the ones slain by hunger; for they pine away, pierced through for lack of the fruits of the fields.

10. వాత్సల్యముగల స్త్రీల చేతులు తాము కనిన పిల్లలను వండుకొనెను నా జనుల కుమారికి వచ్చిన నాశనములో వారి బిడ్డలు వారికి ఆహారమైరి.

10. The hands of the compassionate women have boiled their own children; they became their food in the destruction of the daughter of my people.

11. యెహోవా తన ఉగ్రతను నెరవేర్చి తన కోపాగ్నిని కుమ్మరించెను సీయోనులో ఆయన అగ్ని రాజబెట్టెను అది దాని పునాదులను కాల్చివేసెను.

11. Jehovah has fulfilled His fury; He has poured out His fierce anger, and has kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured its foundations.

12. బాధించువాడుగాని విరోధిగాని యెరూషలేము గవునులలోనికి వచ్చునని భూరాజులకైనను లోకనివాసులందరిలో మరి ఎవరికైనను తోచియుండలేదు.

12. The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy would have entered the gates into Jerusalem.

13. దానిలో నీతిమంతుల రక్తమును ఓడ్చిన దాని ప్రవక్తల పాపములనుబట్టియు దాని యాజకుల దోషమునుబట్టియు

13. For the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, shedding the blood of the just in her midst,

14. జనులు వీధులలో అంధులవలె తిరుగులాడెదరు వారు రక్తము అంటిన అపవిత్రులు ఎవరును వారి వస్త్రములను ముట్టకూడదు.

14. they have wandered as blind men in the streets; they are defiled with blood, so that no one could touch their clothes.

15. పొమ్ము అపవిత్రుడా, పొమ్ము పొమ్ము ముట్టవద్దని జనులు వారితో ననిరి. వారు పారిపోయి తిరుగులాడుచుండగా అన్యజనులైన వారు ఇకను వారిక్కడ కాపురముండకూడదని చెప్పు కొనిరి

15. They cried out to them, Depart! Unclean! Depart, depart! Do not touch us! When they fled and wandered, they said among the nations, They will not continue to live there.

16. యెహోవా సన్నిధిని వారిని చెదరగొట్టెను ఆయన ఇకమీదట వారిని లక్ష్యపెట్టడు యాజకులయెడల జనులు గౌరవము చూపకపోయిరి పెద్దలమీద దయ చూపకపోయిరి.

16. The face of Jehovah has scattered them out; He will no longer have regard for them; they did not respect the persons of the priests, nor show favor to the elders.

17. వ్యర్థసహాయముకొరకు మేము కనిపెట్టుచుండగా మా కన్నులు క్షీణించుచున్నవి మేము కనిపెట్టుచు రక్షింపలేని జనముకొరకు ఎదురు చూచుచుంటిమి.

17. As for us, our eyes failed, watching in vain for our help; in our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save us.

18. రాజవీధులలో మేము నడువకుండునట్టు విరోధులు మా జాడలనుబట్టి వెంటాడుదురు మా అంత్యదశ సమీపమాయెను మా దినములు తీరిపోయినవి మా అంత్యదశ వచ్చే యున్నది.

18. They have hunted our steps to keep us from going in our streets; our end was near, our days were fulfilled, for our end has come.

19. మమ్మును తరుమువారు ఆకాశమున ఎగురు పక్షిరాజుల కన్న వడిగలవారు పర్వతములమీద వారు మమ్మును తరుముదురు అరణ్యమందు మాకొరకు పొంచియుందురు.

19. Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the heavens; they pursued us on the mountains, they lay in wait for us in the wilderness.

20. మాకు నాసికారంధ్రముల ఊపిరివంటివాడు యెహోవాచేత అభిషేకము నొందినవాడు వారు త్రవ్విన గుంటలలో పట్టబడెను.

20. The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Jehovah, was captured in their pits; of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the nations.

21. అతని నీడక్రిందను అన్యజనుల మధ్యను బ్రదికెదమని మేమనుకొన్నవాడు పట్టబడెను. ఊజు దేశములో నివసించు ఎదోము కుమారీ, సంతోషించుము ఉత్సహించుము ఈ గిన్నెలోనిది త్రాగుట నీ పాలవును నీవు దానిలోనిది త్రాగి మత్తిల్లి నిన్ను దిగంబరినిగా చేసికొందువు

21. Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, who lives in the land of Uz. The cup also shall pass through unto you; you shall become drunk and stripped naked.

22. సీయోను కుమారీ, నీ దోషశిక్ష సమాప్తమాయెను ఇకమీదట ఆయన మరెన్నడును నిన్ను చెరలోనికి కొనిపోడు ఎదోము కుమారీ, నీ దోషమునకు ఆయన శిక్ష విధించును నీ పాపములను ఆయన వెల్లడిపరచును.

22. The punishment of your iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; He will send you into captivity no more. He will punish your iniquity, O daughter of Edom; He will expose your sins.
