1. బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరును అతని సమస్త సేనయు అతని అధికారము క్రిందనున్న భూరాజ్యములన్నియు జనములన్నియు కూడి యెరూషలేముమీదను దాని పురము లన్నిటిమీదను యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా యెహోవా యొద్దనుండి యిర్మీయాకు దర్శనమైన వాక్కు.

1. The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah -- and Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his force, and all kingdoms of the land of the dominion of his hand, and all the peoples are fighting against Jerusalem, and against all its cities -- saying:

2. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చుచున్నాడు నీవు వెళ్లి యూదారాజైన సిద్కియాతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుము యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా నేను ఈ పట్టణమును బబులోను రాజుచేతికి అప్పగించు చున్నాను, అతడు మంటపెట్టి దాని కాల్చివేయును.

2. 'Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel: Go, and thou hast spoken unto Zedekiah king of Judah, and hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah: Lo, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he hath burned it with fire,

3. నీవు అతని చేతిలోనుండి తప్పించుకొనజాలక నిశ్చయ ముగా పట్టబడి అతనిచేతి కప్పగింపబడెదవు. బబులోను రాజును నీవు కన్నులార చూచెదవు, అతడు నీతో ముఖా ముఖిగా మాటలాడును, నీవు బబులోనునకు పోవుదువు.

3. and thou, thou dost not escape out of his hand, for thou art certainly caught, and into his hand thou art given, and thine eyes see the eyes of the king of Babylon, and his mouth with thy mouth speaketh, and Babylon thou enterest.

4. యూదా రాజవైన సిద్కియా, యెహోవా మాట వినుము నిన్నుగూర్చి యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నీవు ఖడ్గమువలన మృతిబొందక నెమ్మదిగానే మృతి బొందెదవు.

4. 'Only, hear a word of Jehovah, O Zedekiah king of Judah, Thus said Jehovah unto thee: Thou dost not die by sword,

5. నీకంటె ముందుగానుండిన పూర్వరాజులైన నీ పితరులకొరకు ధూపద్రవ్యములు కాల్చినట్లు అయ్యో నా యేలినవాడా, అని నిన్ను గూర్చి అంగలార్చుచు జనులు నీకొరకును ధూపద్రవ్యము కాల్చుదురు; ఆలాగు కావలెనని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చినవాడను నేనే అని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

5. in peace thou diest, and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings who have been before thee, so they make a burning for thee; and Ah, lord, they lament for thee, for the word I have spoken -- an affirmation of Jehovah.'

6. యూదా పట్టణములలో లాకీషును అజేకాయును ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములుగా మిగిలి యున్నవి,

6. And Jeremiah the prophet speaketh unto Zedekiah king of Judah all these words in Jerusalem,

7. బబులోనురాజు దండు యెరూషలేముమీదను మిగిలిన యూదా పట్టణములన్నిటిమీదను యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయా యెరూషలేములో యూదా రాజైన సిద్కియాకు ఈ మాటలన్నిటిని ప్రకటించుచు వచ్చెను.

7. and the forces of the king of Babylon are fighting against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that are left -- against Lachish, and against Azekah, for these have been left among the cities of Judah, cities of fortresses.

8. యూదులచేత యూదులు కొలువు చేయించుకొనక తమ దాస్యములోనున్న హెబ్రీయులనుగాని హెబ్రీయు రాండ్రనుగాని అందరిని విడిపించునట్లు విడుదలచాటింప

8. The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, after the making by the king Zedekiah of a covenant with all the people who [are] in Jerusalem, to proclaim to them liberty,

9. వలెనని రాజైన సిద్కియా యెరూషలేములోనున్న సమస్త ప్రజలతో నిబంధన చేసిన తరువాత యెహోవాయొద్ద నుండి యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన వాక్కు

9. to send out each his man-servant, and each his maid-servant -- the Hebrew and the Hebrewess -- free, so as not to lay service on them, any on a Jew his brother;

10. ఆ నిబంధననుబట్టి అందరును తమకు దాస దాసీజనముగా నున్న వారిని విడిపించుదుమనియు, ఇకమీదట ఎవరును వారిచేత కొలువు చేయించుకొనమనియు, ఒప్పుకొని, ఆ నిబంధనలో చేరిన ప్రధానులందరును ప్రజలందరును విధేయులై వారిని విడిపించిరి.

10. and hearken do all the heads, and all the people who have come in to the covenant to send forth each his man-servant and each his maid-servant free, so as not to lay service on them any more, yea, they hearken, and send them away;

11. అయితే పిమ్మట వారు మనస్సు మార్చుకొని, తాము స్వతంత్రులుగా పోనిచ్చిన దాస దాసీజనులను మరల దాసులుగాను దాసీలుగాను లోపరచు కొనిరి.

11. and they turn afterwards, and cause the men-servants and the maid-servants to return, whom they had sent forth free, and they subdue them for men-servants and for maid-servants.

12. కావున యెహోవాయొద్ద నుండి వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

12. And there is a word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying:

13. ఇశ్రా యేలు దేవుడగు యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చునదేమనగా దాసుల గృహమైన ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి నేను మీ పితరులను రప్పించిన దినమున వారితో ఈ నిబంధన చేసితిని.

13. 'Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, I -- I made a covenant with your fathers in the day of My bringing them forth from the land of Egypt, from a house of servants, saying,

14. నీకు అమ్మబడి ఆరు సంవత్సరములు కొలువుచేసిన హెబ్రీయులగు మీ సహోదరులను ఏడు సంవత్సరములు తీరిన తరువాత మీరు విడిపింపవలెను; అయితే మీ పితరులు తమ చెవియొగ్గక నా మాట అంగీకరింపక పోయిరి.

14. At the end of seven years ye do send forth each his brother, the Hebrew, who is sold to thee, and hath served thee six years, yea, thou hast sent him forth free from thee: and your fathers hearkened not unto Me, nor inclined their ear.

15. మీరైతే ఇప్పుడు మనస్సు మార్చుకొని యొక్కొక్కడు తన పొరుగు వానికి విడుదల చాటింతమని చెప్పి, నా పేరు పెట్టబడిన యీ మందిరమందు నా సన్నిధిని నిబంధన చేసితిరి, నా దృష్టికి యుక్తమైనది చేసితిరి.

15. 'And ye turn back, ye to-day, and ye do that which is right in Mine eyes, to proclaim liberty each to his neighbour, and ye make a covenant before Me in the house over which My name is called.

16. పిమ్మట మీరు మనస్సు మార్చుకొని నా నామమును అపవిత్రపరచితిరి వారి ఇచ్ఛానుసారముగా తిరుగునట్లు వారిని స్వతంత్రు లుగా పోనిచ్చిన తరువాత, అందరును తమ దాసదాసీలను మరల పట్టుకొని తమకు దాసులుగాను దాసీలుగాను ఉండుటకై వారిని లోపరచుకొంటిరి

16. And -- ye turn back, and pollute My name, and ye cause each his man-servant and each his maid-servant, whom he had sent forth free, (at their pleasure,) to return, and ye subdue them to be to you for men-servants and for maid-servants.

17. కాబట్టి యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఒక్కొక్కడు తన సహోదరులకును తన పొరుగువారికిని విడుదల ప్రకటింపవలెనని నేను చెప్పిన మాట మీరు వినకపోతిరే; ఆలోచించుడి, విడుదల కావలెనని నేనే చాటించుచున్నాను, అది ఖడ్గ క్షామసంకటముల పాలగుటకైన విడుదలయే; భూరాజ్యము లన్నిటిలోను ఇటు అటు చెదరగొట్టుటకు మిమ్ము నప్పగించుచున్నాను.

17. 'Therefore, thus said Jehovah: Ye have not hearkened unto Me to proclaim freedom, each to his brother, and each to his neighbour; lo, I am proclaiming to you liberty -- an affirmation of Jehovah -- unto the sword, unto the pestilence, and unto the famine, and I have given you for a trembling to all kingdoms of the earth.

18. మరియు నా సన్నిధిని తాము చేసిన నిబంధన మాటలు నెరవేర్చక దాని నతిక్రమించువారిని, తాము రెండు భాగములుగా కోసి వాటిమధ్య నడిచిన దూడతో సమానులుగా చేయుచున్నాను;

18. 'And I have given the men who are transgressing My covenant, who have not established the words of the covenant that they have made before Me, by the calf, that they have cut in two, and pass through between its pieces --

19. అనగా యూదా అధిపతులను యెరూషలేము అధిపతులను రాజ పరివారములోని వారిని యాజకులను దేశజనులనందరిని ఆ దూడయొక్క రెండు భాగముల మధ్య నడచినవారినందరిని ఆ దూడతో సమానులుగా చేయుచున్నాను.

19. heads of Judah, and heads of Jerusalem, the officers, and the priests, and all the people of the land those passing through between the pieces of the calf --

20. వారి శత్రువుల చేతికిని వారి ప్రాణము తీయజూచువారి చేతికిని వారి నప్పగించుచున్నాను, వారి కళేబరములు ఆకాశ పక్షులకును భూమృగములకును ఆహారముగా నుండును.

20. yea, I have given them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those seeking their soul, and their carcase hath been for food to the fowl of the heavens, and to the beast of the earth.

21. యూదారాజైన సిద్కియాను అతని అధిపతులను వారి శత్రువులచేతికిని వారి ప్రాణము తీయజూచువారిచేతికిని మీయొద్దనుండి వెళ్ళిపోయిన బబులోనురాజు దండు చేతికిని అప్పగించుచున్నాను.

21. 'And Zedekiah king of Judah, and his heads, I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those seeking their soul, and into the hand of the forces of the king of Babylon, that are going up from off you.

22. యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదేనేను ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి యీ పట్టణమునకు వారిని మరల రప్పించు చున్నాను, వారు దానిమీద యుద్ధముచేసి దాని పట్టుకొని మంటపెట్టి దాని కాల్చివేసెదరు; మరియు యూదా పట్టణములను పాడుగాను నిర్జనముగాను చేయుదును.

22. Lo, I am commanding -- an affirmation of Jehovah -- and have brought them back unto this city, and they have fought against it, and captured it, and burned it with fire, and the cities of Judah I do make a desolation -- without inhabitant.'
