1. బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరును అతని సమస్త సేనయు అతని అధికారము క్రిందనున్న భూరాజ్యములన్నియు జనములన్నియు కూడి యెరూషలేముమీదను దాని పురము లన్నిటిమీదను యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా యెహోవా యొద్దనుండి యిర్మీయాకు దర్శనమైన వాక్కు.

1. The message from the Lord came to Jeremiah. The message came at the time when King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon was fighting against Jerusalem and all the towns around it. Nebuchadnezzar had with him all his army and the armies of all the kingdoms and peoples in the empire he ruled.

2. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చుచున్నాడు నీవు వెళ్లి యూదారాజైన సిద్కియాతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుము యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా నేను ఈ పట్టణమును బబులోను రాజుచేతికి అప్పగించు చున్నాను, అతడు మంటపెట్టి దాని కాల్చివేయును.

2. This was the message: 'This is what the Lord, the God of the people of Israel, says: Jeremiah, go to King Zedekiah of Judah and give him this message: 'Zedekiah, this is what the Lord says: I will give the city of Jerusalem to the king of Babylon very soon, and he will burn it down.

3. నీవు అతని చేతిలోనుండి తప్పించుకొనజాలక నిశ్చయ ముగా పట్టబడి అతనిచేతి కప్పగింపబడెదవు. బబులోను రాజును నీవు కన్నులార చూచెదవు, అతడు నీతో ముఖా ముఖిగా మాటలాడును, నీవు బబులోనునకు పోవుదువు.

3. Zedekiah, you will not escape from the king of Babylon. You will surely be caught and given to him. You will see the king of Babylon with your own eyes. He will talk to you face to face, and you will go to Babylon.

4. యూదా రాజవైన సిద్కియా, యెహోవా మాట వినుము నిన్నుగూర్చి యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నీవు ఖడ్గమువలన మృతిబొందక నెమ్మదిగానే మృతి బొందెదవు.

4. But listen to the promise of the Lord, King Zedekiah of Judah. This is what the Lord says about you: You will not be killed with a sword.

5. నీకంటె ముందుగానుండిన పూర్వరాజులైన నీ పితరులకొరకు ధూపద్రవ్యములు కాల్చినట్లు అయ్యో నా యేలినవాడా, అని నిన్ను గూర్చి అంగలార్చుచు జనులు నీకొరకును ధూపద్రవ్యము కాల్చుదురు; ఆలాగు కావలెనని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చినవాడను నేనే అని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

5. You will die in a peaceful way. People made funeral fires to honor your ancestors, the kings who ruled before you became king. In the same way people will make a funeral fire to honor you. They will cry for you and sadly say, 'Oh, my master!' I myself make this promise to you.'' This message is from the Lord.

6. యూదా పట్టణములలో లాకీషును అజేకాయును ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములుగా మిగిలి యున్నవి,

6. So Jeremiah gave the message from the Lord to Zedekiah in Jerusalem.

7. బబులోనురాజు దండు యెరూషలేముమీదను మిగిలిన యూదా పట్టణములన్నిటిమీదను యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయా యెరూషలేములో యూదా రాజైన సిద్కియాకు ఈ మాటలన్నిటిని ప్రకటించుచు వచ్చెను.

7. This was while the army of the king of Babylon was fighting against Jerusalem. The army of Babylon was also fighting against the cities of Judah that had not been captured. These cities were Lachish and Azekah. These were the only fortified cities left in the land of Judah.

8. యూదులచేత యూదులు కొలువు చేయించుకొనక తమ దాస్యములోనున్న హెబ్రీయులనుగాని హెబ్రీయు రాండ్రనుగాని అందరిని విడిపించునట్లు విడుదలచాటింప

8. King Zedekiah had made an agreement with all the people in Jerusalem to give freedom to all the Hebrew slaves. A message from the Lord came to Jeremiah after Zedekiah had made that agreement.

9. వలెనని రాజైన సిద్కియా యెరూషలేములోనున్న సమస్త ప్రజలతో నిబంధన చేసిన తరువాత యెహోవాయొద్ద నుండి యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన వాక్కు

9. Everyone was supposed to free their Hebrew slaves. All male and female Hebrew slaves were to be set free. No one was supposed to keep another person from the tribe of Judah in slavery.

10. ఆ నిబంధననుబట్టి అందరును తమకు దాస దాసీజనముగా నున్న వారిని విడిపించుదుమనియు, ఇకమీదట ఎవరును వారిచేత కొలువు చేయించుకొనమనియు, ఒప్పుకొని, ఆ నిబంధనలో చేరిన ప్రధానులందరును ప్రజలందరును విధేయులై వారిని విడిపించిరి.

10. So all the leaders of Judah and all the people accepted this agreement. They would free their male and female slaves so that they would no longer serve them. Everyone agreed, and so all the slaves were set free.

11. అయితే పిమ్మట వారు మనస్సు మార్చుకొని, తాము స్వతంత్రులుగా పోనిచ్చిన దాస దాసీజనులను మరల దాసులుగాను దాసీలుగాను లోపరచు కొనిరి.

11. But after that, the people who had slaves changed their minds. So they took the people they had set free and made them slaves again.

12. కావున యెహోవాయొద్ద నుండి వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

12. Then the message from the Lord came to Jeremiah:

13. ఇశ్రా యేలు దేవుడగు యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చునదేమనగా దాసుల గృహమైన ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి నేను మీ పితరులను రప్పించిన దినమున వారితో ఈ నిబంధన చేసితిని.

13. This is what the Lord, the God of the people of Israel, says: I brought your ancestors out of the land of Egypt, where they were slaves. When I did that, I made an agreement with them.

14. నీకు అమ్మబడి ఆరు సంవత్సరములు కొలువుచేసిన హెబ్రీయులగు మీ సహోదరులను ఏడు సంవత్సరములు తీరిన తరువాత మీరు విడిపింపవలెను; అయితే మీ పితరులు తమ చెవియొగ్గక నా మాట అంగీకరింపక పోయిరి.

14. I said to your ancestors: 'At the end of every seven years, everyone must set their Hebrew slaves free. If you have fellow Hebrews who have sold themselves to you, you must let them go free after they have served you for six years.' But your ancestors didn't listen to me or pay attention to me.

15. మీరైతే ఇప్పుడు మనస్సు మార్చుకొని యొక్కొక్కడు తన పొరుగు వానికి విడుదల చాటింతమని చెప్పి, నా పేరు పెట్టబడిన యీ మందిరమందు నా సన్నిధిని నిబంధన చేసితిరి, నా దృష్టికి యుక్తమైనది చేసితిరి.

15. A short time ago you changed your hearts to do what is right. Everyone set free their fellow Hebrews who were slaves. And you even made an agreement before me in the Temple that is called by my name.

16. పిమ్మట మీరు మనస్సు మార్చుకొని నా నామమును అపవిత్రపరచితిరి వారి ఇచ్ఛానుసారముగా తిరుగునట్లు వారిని స్వతంత్రు లుగా పోనిచ్చిన తరువాత, అందరును తమ దాసదాసీలను మరల పట్టుకొని తమకు దాసులుగాను దాసీలుగాను ఉండుటకై వారిని లోపరచుకొంటిరి

16. But now you have changed your minds. You have shown you do not honor my name because each of you has taken back the male and female slaves that you had set free. You have forced them to become slaves again.

17. కాబట్టి యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఒక్కొక్కడు తన సహోదరులకును తన పొరుగువారికిని విడుదల ప్రకటింపవలెనని నేను చెప్పిన మాట మీరు వినకపోతిరే; ఆలోచించుడి, విడుదల కావలెనని నేనే చాటించుచున్నాను, అది ఖడ్గ క్షామసంకటముల పాలగుటకైన విడుదలయే; భూరాజ్యము లన్నిటిలోను ఇటు అటు చెదరగొట్టుటకు మిమ్ము నప్పగించుచున్నాను.

17. So this is what the Lord says: 'You people have not obeyed me. You have not given freedom to your fellow Hebrews. Because you have not kept the agreement, I will give 'freedom.'' This is the message of the Lord. 'I will let 'freedom' be killed by swords, by terrible sicknesses, and by hunger! I will make you become something that terrifies all the kingdoms of the earth, when they hear about you.

18. మరియు నా సన్నిధిని తాము చేసిన నిబంధన మాటలు నెరవేర్చక దాని నతిక్రమించువారిని, తాము రెండు భాగములుగా కోసి వాటిమధ్య నడిచిన దూడతో సమానులుగా చేయుచున్నాను;

18. I will hand over those who broke my agreement and have not kept the promises they made before me. They cut a calf into two pieces before me and walked between the two pieces.

19. అనగా యూదా అధిపతులను యెరూషలేము అధిపతులను రాజ పరివారములోని వారిని యాజకులను దేశజనులనందరిని ఆ దూడయొక్క రెండు భాగముల మధ్య నడచినవారినందరిని ఆ దూడతో సమానులుగా చేయుచున్నాను.

19. These are the people who walked between the two pieces of the calf when they made the agreement before me: the leaders of Judah and Jerusalem, the important officials of the court, the priests, and the people of the land.

20. వారి శత్రువుల చేతికిని వారి ప్రాణము తీయజూచువారి చేతికిని వారి నప్పగించుచున్నాను, వారి కళేబరములు ఆకాశ పక్షులకును భూమృగములకును ఆహారముగా నుండును.

20. So I will give them to their enemies and to everyone who wants to kill them. Their bodies will become food for the birds of the air and for the wild animals of the earth.

21. యూదారాజైన సిద్కియాను అతని అధిపతులను వారి శత్రువులచేతికిని వారి ప్రాణము తీయజూచువారిచేతికిని మీయొద్దనుండి వెళ్ళిపోయిన బబులోనురాజు దండు చేతికిని అప్పగించుచున్నాను.

21. I will give King Zedekiah of Judah and his leaders to their enemies and to everyone who wants to kill them. I will give Zedekiah and his people to the army of the king of Babylon, even though that army has left Jerusalem.

22. యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదేనేను ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి యీ పట్టణమునకు వారిని మరల రప్పించు చున్నాను, వారు దానిమీద యుద్ధముచేసి దాని పట్టుకొని మంటపెట్టి దాని కాల్చివేసెదరు; మరియు యూదా పట్టణములను పాడుగాను నిర్జనముగాను చేయుదును.

22. But I will give the order,' says the Lord, 'to bring the Babylonian army back to Jerusalem. That army will fight against Jerusalem. They will capture it, set it on fire, and burn it down. And I will destroy the towns in the land of Judah. They will become empty deserts. No one will live there.''
