1. చుట్టునున్న వారి శత్రువులలో ఎవరును వారి మీదికి రాకుండ యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు నెమ్మది కలుగ జేసినమీదట అనేక దినములైన తరువాత యెహోషువ బహు సంవత్సరములుగల వృద్ధుడాయెను.

1. A long time later, after GOD had given Israel rest from all their surrounding enemies, and Joshua was a venerable old man,

2. Joshua called all Israel together--elders, chiefs, judges, and officers. Then he spoke to them: 'I'm an old man. I've lived a long time.

3. You have seen everything that GOD has done to these nations because of you. He did it because he's GOD, your God. He fought for you.

4. చూడుడి, యొర్దాను మొదలుకొని తూర్పు దిక్కున మహాసముద్రము వరకు నేను నిర్మూలము చేసిన సమస్త జనముల దేశమును, మీ గోత్రముల స్వాస్థ్యముమధ్య మిగిలియున్న యీ జనముల దేశమును మీకు వంతుచీట్లవలన పంచిపెట్టితిని.

4. 'Stay alert: I have assigned to you by lot these nations that remain as an inheritance to your tribes--these in addition to the nations I have already cut down--from the Jordan to the Great Sea in the west.

5. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయే వారిని మీ యెదుట నిలువ కుండ వెళ్లగొట్టిన తరువాత మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీతో సెలవిచ్చినట్లు మీరు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీన పరచుకొందురు.

5. GOD, your God, will drive them out of your path until there's nothing left of them and you'll take over their land just as GOD, your God, promised you.

6. కాబట్టి మీరు మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్ర గ్రంథములో వ్రాయబడినదంతటిని గైకొని అనుసరించు టకు మనస్సు దృఢము చేసికొని, యెడమకు గాని కుడికి గాని దానినుండి తొలగిపోక

6. 'Now, stay strong and steady. Obediently do everything written in the Book of The Revelation of Moses--don't miss a detail.

7. మీయొద్ద మిగిలియున్న యీజనుల సహవాసము చేయక వారి దేవతల పేళ్లను ఎత్తక వాటి తోడని ప్రమాణము చేయక వాటిని పూజింపక వాటికి నమస్కరింపక

7. Don't get mixed up with the nations that are still around. Don't so much as speak the names of their gods or swear by them. And by all means don't worship or pray to them.

8. మీరు నేటివరకు చేసినట్లు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను హత్తుకొని యుండవలెను.

8. Hold tight to GOD, your God, just as you've done up to now.

9. యెహోవా బలముగల గొప్ప జనములను మీ యెదుట నుండి కొట్టివేసియున్నాడు, మీ యెదుట నేటివరకును ఏ మనుష్యుడును నిలిచియుండలేదు.

9. 'GOD has driven out superpower nations before you. And up to now, no one has been able to stand up to you.

10. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చిన మాటచొప్పున తానే మీకొరకు యుద్ధము చేయువాడు గనుక మీలో ఒకడు వేయిమందిని తరుమును

10. Think of it--one of you, single-handedly, putting a thousand on the run! Because GOD is GOD, your God. Because he fights for you, just as he promised you.

11. కాబట్టి మీరు బహు జాగ్రత్తపడి మీ దేవు డైన యెహోవాను ప్రేమింపవలెను.

11. 'Now, vigilantly guard your souls: Love GOD, your God.

12. అయితే మీరు వెనుకకు తొలగి మీయొద్ద మిగిలి యున్న యీ జనములను హత్తుకొని వారితో వియ్యమంది, వారితో మీరును మీతో వారును సాంగత్యము చేసిన యెడల

12. Because if you wander off and start taking up with these remaining nations still among you (intermarry, say, and have other dealings with them),

13. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ యెదుటనుండి యీ జనములను కొట్టివేయుట మానును. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములో ఉండకుండ మీరు నశించువరకు వారు మీకు ఉరిగాను బోనుగాను మీ ప్రక్కల మీద కొరడాలుగాను మీ కన్నులలో ముళ్లుగాను ఉందురు.

13. know for certain that GOD, your God, will not get rid of these nations for you. They'll be nothing but trouble to you--horsewhips on your backs and sand in your eyes--until you're the ones who will be driven out of this good land that GOD, your God, has given you.

14. ఇదిగో నేడు నేను సర్వ లోకుల మార్గమున వెళ్లుచున్నాను. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ విషయమై సెలవిచ్చిన మంచి మాటలన్నిటిలో ఒక్కటియైనను తప్పియుండలేదని మీరు అనుభవ పూర్వకముగా ఎరుగుదురు; అవి అన్నియు మీకు కలిగెను, వాటిలో ఒక్కటియైనను తప్పియుండలేదు.

14. 'As you can see, I'm about to go the way we all end up going. Know this with all your heart, with everything in you, that not one detail has failed of all the good things GOD, your God, promised you. It has all happened. Nothing's left undone--not so much as a word.

15. అయితే మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీతో చెప్పిన మేలంతయు మీకు కలిగిన ప్రకారము మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ కిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములో ఉండకుండ ఆయన మిమ్ము నశింపజేయువరకు యెహోవా మీ మీదికి కీడంతయు రాజేయును.

15. 'But just as sure as everything good that GOD, your God, has promised has come true, so also GOD will bring to pass every bad thing until there's nothing left of you in this good land that GOD has given you.

16. మీరు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకు నియ మించిన ఆయన నిబంధనను మీరి యితర దేవతలను పూజించి వాటికి నమస్కరించినయెడల యెహోవా కోపము మీ మీద మండును గనుక ఆయన మీకిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశ ములో నుండ కుండ మీరు శీఘ్రముగా నశించి పోవుదురు.

16. If you leave the path of the Covenant of GOD, your God, that he commanded you, go off and serve and worship other gods, GOD's anger will blaze out against you. In no time at all there'll be nothing left of you, no sign that you've ever been in this good land he gave you.'
