1. చుట్టునున్న వారి శత్రువులలో ఎవరును వారి మీదికి రాకుండ యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు నెమ్మది కలుగ జేసినమీదట అనేక దినములైన తరువాత యెహోషువ బహు సంవత్సరములుగల వృద్ధుడాయెను.

1. The Lord gave Israel peace from their enemies around them. The Lord made Israel safe. Many years passed, and Joshua became very old.

2. అప్పు డతడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనందరిని వారి పెద్దలను వారి ముఖ్యులను వారి న్యాయాధిపతులను వారి నాయకు లను పిలిపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెనునేను బహు సంవ త్సరములు గడచిన ముసలివాడను.

2. At this time Joshua called a meeting of all the older leaders, heads of families, judges, and officers of the Israelites. Joshua said, 'I have grown very old.

3. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ నిమిత్తము సమస్తజనములకు చేసిన దంతయు మీరు చూచితిరి. మీ నిమిత్తము యుద్ధము చేసినవాడు మీ దేవుడైన యెహో వాయే.

3. You have seen what the Lord did to our enemies. He did this to help us. The Lord your God fought for you.

4. చూడుడి, యొర్దాను మొదలుకొని తూర్పు దిక్కున మహాసముద్రము వరకు నేను నిర్మూలము చేసిన సమస్త జనముల దేశమును, మీ గోత్రముల స్వాస్థ్యముమధ్య మిగిలియున్న యీ జనముల దేశమును మీకు వంతుచీట్లవలన పంచిపెట్టితిని.

4. Remember that I told you that your people could have the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea in the west. I promised to give you that land, but you don't control it yet. I have taken the land away from those nations, but they are still living there.

5. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయే వారిని మీ యెదుట నిలువ కుండ వెళ్లగొట్టిన తరువాత మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీతో సెలవిచ్చినట్లు మీరు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీన పరచుకొందురు.

5. But the Lord your God will force the people living there to leave. You will take that land. The Lord will force them to leave. The Lord your God promised to do this for you.

6. కాబట్టి మీరు మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్ర గ్రంథములో వ్రాయబడినదంతటిని గైకొని అనుసరించు టకు మనస్సు దృఢము చేసికొని, యెడమకు గాని కుడికి గాని దానినుండి తొలగిపోక

6. You must be careful to obey everything the Lord has commanded us. Obey everything that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses. Don't turn away from that law.

7. మీయొద్ద మిగిలియున్న యీజనుల సహవాసము చేయక వారి దేవతల పేళ్లను ఎత్తక వాటి తోడని ప్రమాణము చేయక వాటిని పూజింపక వాటికి నమస్కరింపక

7. There are still some people living among us who are not Israelites. They worship their own gods. Don't become friends with them. Don't serve or worship their gods.

8. మీరు నేటివరకు చేసినట్లు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను హత్తుకొని యుండవలెను.

8. You must continue to follow the Lord your God. You have done this in the past, and you must continue to do it.

9. యెహోవా బలముగల గొప్ప జనములను మీ యెదుట నుండి కొట్టివేసియున్నాడు, మీ యెదుట నేటివరకును ఏ మనుష్యుడును నిలిచియుండలేదు.

9. The Lord helped you defeat many great and powerful nations. He forced them to leave. No nation has been able to defeat you.

10. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చిన మాటచొప్పున తానే మీకొరకు యుద్ధము చేయువాడు గనుక మీలో ఒకడు వేయిమందిని తరుమును

10. With his help, one man from Israel could defeat 1000 enemy soldiers, because the Lord your God fights for you, as he promised.

11. కాబట్టి మీరు బహు జాగ్రత్తపడి మీ దేవు డైన యెహోవాను ప్రేమింపవలెను.

11. So you must continue to love the Lord your God.

12. అయితే మీరు వెనుకకు తొలగి మీయొద్ద మిగిలి యున్న యీ జనములను హత్తుకొని వారితో వియ్యమంది, వారితో మీరును మీతో వారును సాంగత్యము చేసిన యెడల

12. Don't stop following the Lord. Don't become friends with these other people who are not part of Israel. Don't marry any of their people. But if you do become friends with these people,

13. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ యెదుటనుండి యీ జనములను కొట్టివేయుట మానును. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములో ఉండకుండ మీరు నశించువరకు వారు మీకు ఉరిగాను బోనుగాను మీ ప్రక్కల మీద కొరడాలుగాను మీ కన్నులలో ముళ్లుగాను ఉందురు.

13. then the Lord your God will not help you defeat your enemies. They will become like a trap for you. They will cause you pain�like smoke and dust in your eyes. And you will be forced to leave this good land. The Lord your God gave you this land. But you can lose it if you don't obey this command.

14. ఇదిగో నేడు నేను సర్వ లోకుల మార్గమున వెళ్లుచున్నాను. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ విషయమై సెలవిచ్చిన మంచి మాటలన్నిటిలో ఒక్కటియైనను తప్పియుండలేదని మీరు అనుభవ పూర్వకముగా ఎరుగుదురు; అవి అన్నియు మీకు కలిగెను, వాటిలో ఒక్కటియైనను తప్పియుండలేదు.

14. It is almost time for me to die. You know and really believe that the Lord has done many great things for you. You know that the Lord your God has not failed in any of his promises. He has kept every promise that he has made to us.

15. అయితే మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీతో చెప్పిన మేలంతయు మీకు కలిగిన ప్రకారము మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ కిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములో ఉండకుండ ఆయన మిమ్ము నశింపజేయువరకు యెహోవా మీ మీదికి కీడంతయు రాజేయును.

15. Every good promise that the Lord your God made to us has come true. But in the same way, the Lord will make his other promises come true. He promised that if you do wrong, bad things will happen to you. He promised that he will force you to leave this good land that the Lord your God has given to you.

16. మీరు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకు నియ మించిన ఆయన నిబంధనను మీరి యితర దేవతలను పూజించి వాటికి నమస్కరించినయెడల యెహోవా కోపము మీ మీద మండును గనుక ఆయన మీకిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశ ములో నుండ కుండ మీరు శీఘ్రముగా నశించి పోవుదురు.

16. This will happen if you refuse to keep your agreement with the Lord your God. You will lose this land if you go and serve other gods. You must not worship those other gods. If you do, the Lord will become very angry with you. Then you will quickly be forced to leave this good land that he gave you.'
