1. యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే మృతినొందిన తరువాత, యెహోవా నూను కుమారుడును మోషే పరిచారకుడు నైన యెహోషువకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునా సేవకుడైన మోషే మృతినొందెను.

1. Now it came to pass after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, that the Lord spoke to Josue the son of Nun, the minister of Moses, and said to him:

2. కాబట్టి నీవు లేచి, నీవును ఈ జనులందరును ఈ యొర్దానునది దాటి నేను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కిచ్చుచున్న దేశమునకు వెళ్లుడి.

2. Moses my servant is dead: arise, and pass over this Jordan, thou and thy people with thee, into the land which I will give to the children of Israel.

3. నేను మోషేతో చెప్పి నట్లు మీరు అడుగుపెట్టు ప్రతి స్థలమును మీకిచ్చు చున్నాను.

3. I will deliver to you every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, as I have said to Moses.

4. అరణ్యమును ఈ లెబానోను మొదలుకొని మహానదియైన యూఫ్రటీసు నదివరకును హిత్తీయుల దేశ మంతయు పడమట మహా సముద్రమువరకును మీకు సరిహద్దు.

4. From the desert and from Libanus unto the great river Euphrates, all the land of the Hethites unto the great sea toward the going; down of the sun, shall be your border.

5. నీవు బ్రదుకు దినములన్నిటను ఏ మనుష్యుడును నీ యెదుట నిలువలేక యుండును; నేను మోషేకు తోడై యుండినట్లు నీకును తోడైయుందును.
హెబ్రీయులకు 13:5

5. No man shall be able to resist you all the days of thy life: as I have been with Moses, so will I be with thee: I will not leave thee, nor forsake thee.

6. నిన్ను విడువను నిన్ను ఎడబాయను, నిబ్బరముగలిగి ధైర్యముగా నుండుము. వారికిచ్చెదనని నేను వారి పితరులతో ప్రమాణము చేసిన యీ దేశమును నిశ్చయముగా నీవు ఈ ప్రజల స్వాధీనము చేసెదవు.

6. Take courage, and be strong: for thou shalt divide by lot to this people the land, for which I swore to their fathers, that I would deliver it to them.

7. అయితే నీవు నిబ్బరముగలిగి జాగ్రత్తపడి బహు ధైర్యముగానుండి, నా సేవకుడైన మోషే నీకు ఆజ్ఞా పించిన ధర్మశాస్త్రమంతటి చొప్పున చేయవలెను. నీవు నడుచు ప్రతి మార్గమున చక్కగా ప్రవర్తించునట్లు నీవు దానినుండి కుడికిగాని యెడమకుగాని తొలగకూడదు.

7. Take courage therefore, and be very valiant: that thou mayst observe and do all the law, which Moses my servant hath commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayst understand all things which thou dost.

8. ఈ ధర్మశాస్త్రగ్రంథమును నీవు బోధింపక తప్పిపో కూడదు. దానిలో వ్రాయబడిన వాటన్నిటి ప్రకారము చేయుటకు నీవు జాగ్రత్తపడునట్లు దివారాత్రము దాని ధ్యానించినయెడల నీ మార్గమును వర్ధిల్లజేసికొని చక్కగా ప్రవర్తించెదవు.

8. Let not the book of this law depart from thy mouth: but thou shalt meditate on it day and night, that thou mayst observe and do all things that are written in it: then shalt thou direct thy way, and understand it.

9. నేను నీ కాజ్ఞయిచ్చియున్నాను గదా, నిబ్బరముగలిగి ధైర్యముగా నుండుము, దిగులుపడకుము జడియకుము. నీవు నడుచు మార్గమంతటిలో నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు తోడైయుండును.

9. Behold I command thee, take courage, and be strong. Fear not and be not dismayed: because the Lord thy God is with thee in all things whatsoever thou shalt go to.

10. కాగా యెహోషువ ప్రజల నాయకులకు ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞాపించెనుమీరు పాళెములోనికి పోయి జనులతో ఈ మాట చెప్పుడి

10. And Josue commanded the princes of the people, saying: Pass through the midst of the camp, and command the people, and say:

11. మీరు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనుటకు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొనబోవుటకై మూడు దినములలోగా మీరు ఈ యొర్దానును దాటవలెను. గనుక ఆహారమును సిద్ధపరచుకొనుడి.

11. Prepare you victuals: for after the third day you shall pass over the Jordan and shall go in to possess the land, which the Lord your God will give you.

12. మరియు రూబేనీయులకును గాదీయులకును మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రపువారికిని యెహోషువ యీలాగు ఆజ్ఞా పించెను.

12. And he said to the Rubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasses:

13. యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే మీ కాజ్ఞా పించిన సంగతి జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుడి, ఎట్లనగా మీ దేవు డైన యెహోవా మీకు విశ్రాంతి కలుగజేయుచున్నాడు; ఆయన ఈ దేశమును మీకిచ్చును.

13. Remember the word, which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying: The Lord your God hath given you rest, and all this land.

14. మీ భార్యలును మీపిల్లలును మీ ఆస్తియు యొర్దాను అవతల మోషే మీకిచ్చిన యీ దేశమున నివసింపవలెనుగాని, పరాక్రమ వంతులును శూరులునైన మీరందరు యుద్ధసన్నద్ధులై మీ సహోదరులకు ముందుగా

14. Your wives, and children, and cattle shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan: but pass you over armed before your brethren, all of you that are strong of hand, and fight for them,

15. నది దాటి, యెహోవా మీకు దయచేసినట్లు మీ సహోదరులకును విశ్రాంతి దయచేయు వరకు, అనగా మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా వారికిచ్చు దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొనువరకు మీరును సహాయము చేయ వలెను. అప్పుడు తూర్పున యొర్దాను ఇవతల యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే మీకిచ్చిన మీ స్వాస్థ్యమైన దేశమునకు మీరు తిరిగి వచ్చి దాని స్వాధీనపరచుకొందురు.

15. Until the Lord give rest to your brethren as he hath given you, and they also possess the land which the Lord your God will give them: and so you shall return into the land of your possession, and you shall dwell in it, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you beyond the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun.

16. అందుకు వారునీవు మా కాజ్ఞాపించినదంతయు మేము చేసెదము, నీవు మమ్ము నెక్కడికి పంపుదువో అక్కడికి పోదుము;

16. And they made answer to Josue, and said: All that thou hast commanded us we will do; and whithersoever thou shalt send us, we will go.

17. మోషే చెప్పిన ప్రతిమాట మేము వినినట్లు నీ మాట విందుము; నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మోషేకు తోడైయుండినట్లు నీకును తోడైయుండును గాక.

17. As we obeyed Moses in all things, so will we obey thee also: only be the Lord thy God with thee, as he was with Moses.

18. నీమీద తిరుగబడి నీవు వారికి ఆజ్ఞాపించు ప్రతి విషయములో నీ మాట వినని వారందరు మరణశిక్ష నొందుదురు; నీవు నిబ్బరముగలిగి ధైర్యము తెచ్చుకొనవలెనని యెహోషువకు ఉత్తరమిచ్చిరి.

18. He that shall gainsay thy mouth, and not obey all thy words, that thou shalt command him, let him die: only take thou courage, and do manfully.
