1. ఆయన సముద్రతీరమున మరల బోధింప నారంభింపగా, బహు జనులాయనయొద్దకు కూడివచ్చి యున్నందున ఆయన సముద్రములో ఒక దోనెయెక్కి కూర్చుం డెను. జనులందరు సముద్రతీరమున నేలమీద నుండిరి.

1. AGAIN JESUS began to teach beside the lake. And a very great crowd gathered about Him, so that He got into a ship in order to sit in it on the sea, and the whole crowd was at the lakeside on the shore.

2. ఆయన ఉపమానరీతిగా చాల సంగతులు వారికి బోధిం చుచు తన బోధలో వారితో ఇట్లనెను

2. And He taught them many things in parables (illustrations or comparisons put beside truths to explain them), and in His teaching He said to them:

3. వినుడి; ఇదిగో విత్తువాడు విత్తుటకు బయలువెళ్లెను.

3. Give attention to this! Behold, a sower went out to sow.

4. వాడు విత్తు చుండగా కొన్ని విత్తనములు త్రోవప్రక్కను పడెను. పక్షులువచ్చి వాటిని మింగివేసెను.

4. And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.

5. కొన్ని చాల మన్ను లేని రాతినేలను పడెను; అక్కడ మన్ను లోతుగా ఉండ నందున అవి వెంటనే మొలిచెను గాని

5. Other seed [of the same kind] fell on ground full of rocks, where it had not much soil; and at once it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil;

6. సూర్యుడు ఉదయింపగానే అవి మాడి, వేరులేనందున ఎండిపోయెను.

6. And when the sun came up, it was scorched, and because it had not taken root, it withered away.

7. కొన్ని ముండ్లపొదలలో పడెను; ముండ్లపొదలు ఎదిగి వాటిని అణచివేసెను గనుక అవి ఫలింపలేదు.

7. Other seed [of the same kind] fell among thorn plants, and the thistles grew and pressed together and utterly choked and suffocated it, and it yielded no grain.

8. కొన్ని మంచినేలను పడెను; అవి మొలిచి పెరిగి పైరై ముప్పదం తలుగాను అరువదంతలుగాను నూరంతలుగాను ఫలించెను.

8. And other seed [of the same kind] fell into good (well-adapted) soil and brought forth grain, growing up and increasing, and yielded up to thirty times as much, and sixty times as much, and even a hundred times as much as had been sown.

9. వినుటకు చెవులుగలవాడు వినునుగాక అని చెప్పెను.

9. And He said, He who has ears to hear, let him be hearing [and let him consider, and comprehend].

10. ఆయన ఒంటరిగా ఉన్నప్పుడు పండ్రెండుమంది శిష్యులతో కూడ ఆయనచుట్టు ఉండినవారు ఆ ఉపమానమును గూర్చి ఆయన నడిగిరి.

10. And as soon as He was alone, those who were around Him, with the Twelve [apostles], began to ask Him about the parables.

11. అందుకాయన దేవుని రాజ్య మర్మము (తెలిసికొనుట) మీకు అనుగ్రహింపబడియున్నది గాని

11. And He said to them, To you has been entrusted the mystery of the kingdom of God [that is, the secret counsels of God which are hidden from the ungodly]; but for those outside [of our circle] everything becomes a parable,

12. వెలుపలనుండువారు ఒకవేళ దేవునివైపు తిరిగి పాప క్షమాపణ పొందుదురని, వారు చూచుటకైతే చూచియు కనుగొనకను, వినుటకైతే వినియు గ్రహింపకయు నుండుట కును అన్నియు ఉపమానరీతిగా వారికి బోధింపబడుచున్న వని వారితో చెప్పెను
యెషయా 6:9-10

12. In order that they may [indeed] look and look but not see and perceive, and may hear and hear but not grasp and comprehend, lest haply they should turn again, and it [their willful rejection of the truth] should be forgiven them. [Isa. 6:9, 10; Matt. 13:13-15.]

13. మరియుఈ ఉపమానము మీకు తెలియలేదా? ఆలాగైతే ఉపమానములన్నియు మీకేలాగు తెలియుననెను.

13. And He said to them, Do you not discern and understand this parable? How then is it possible for you to discern and understand all the parables?

14. విత్తువాడు వాక్యము విత్తు చున్నాడు.

14. The sower sows the Word.

15. త్రోవప్రక్క నుండు వారెవరనగా, వాక్యము వారిలో విత్తబడును గాని వారు వినిన వెంటనే సాతాను వచ్చి వారిలో విత్తబడిన వాక్య మెత్తికొనిపోవును.

15. The ones along the path are those who have the Word sown [in their hearts], but when they hear, Satan comes at once and [by force] takes away the message which is sown in them.

16. అటువలె రాతినేలను విత్తబడినవారెవరనగా, వాక్యము విని సంతోషముగా అంగీకరించువారు;

16. And in the same way the ones sown upon stony ground are those who, when they hear the Word, at once receive and accept and welcome it with joy;

17. అయితే వారిలో వేరు లేనందున, కొంతకాలము వారు నిలుతురు గాని వాక్యము నిమిత్తము శ్రమయైనను హింసయైనను కలుగగానే వారు అభ్యంతరపడుదురు.

17. And they have no real root in themselves, and so they endure for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) and they stumble and fall away.

18. ఇతరులు ముండ్లపొదలలో విత్తబడినవారు;

18. And the ones sown among the thorns are others who hear the Word;

19. వీరు వాక్యము విందురు గాని ఐహిక విచారములును, ధనమోసమును మరి ఇతరమైన అపేక్షలును లోపల చొచ్చి, వాక్యమును అణచివేయుట వలన అది నిష్ఫలమగును.

19. Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless.

20. మంచి నేలను విత్తబడినవారెవరనగా, వాక్యము విని, దానిని అంగీకరించి ముప్పదంతలు గాను అరువదంతలుగాను నూరంతలుగాను ఫలించువారని చెప్పెను.

20. And those sown on the good (well-adapted) soil are the ones who hear the Word and receive and accept and welcome it and bear fruit--some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much.

21. మరియు ఆయన వారితో ఇట్లనెనుదీపము దీప స్తంభముమీద నుంచబడుటకే గాని కుంచము క్రిందనైనను మంచముక్రిందనైన నుంచబడుటకు తేబడదు గదా

21. And He said to them, Is the lamp brought in to be put under a peck measure or under a bed, and not [to be put] on the lampstand?

22. రహస్య మేదైనను తేటపరచబడకపోదు; బయలుపరచ బడుటకే గాని యేదియు మరుగుచేయబడలేదు

22. [Things are hidden temporarily only as a means to revelation.] For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed, nor is anything [temporarily] kept secret except in order that it may be made known.

23. వినుటకు చెవులెవనికైన నుండినయెడల వాడు వినునుగాకనెను.

23. If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend.

24. మరియు ఆయన మీరేమి వినుచున్నారో జాగ్రత్తగా చూచుకొనుడి. మీరెట్టి కొలతతో కొలుతురో మీకును అట్టి కొలతతోనే కొలువబడును, మరి ఎక్కువగా మీ కియ్యబడును.

24. And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you--and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.

25. కలిగినవానికి ఇయ్యబడును, లేనివానికి కలిగినదియు వానియొద్దనుండి తీసివేయబడునని వారితో చెప్పెను.

25. For to him who has will more be given; and from him who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away [by force],

26. మరియు ఆయన ఒక మనుష్యుడు భూమిలో విత్తనము చల్లి,

26. And He said, The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed upon the ground,

27. రాత్రింబగళ్లు నిద్రపోవుచు, మేల్కొనుచు నుండగా, వానికి తెలియని రీతిగా ఆ విత్తనము మొలిచి పెరిగినట్లే దేవుని రాజ్యమున్నది.

27. And then continues sleeping and rising night and day while the seed sprouts and grows and increases--he knows not how.

28. భూమి మొదట మొల కను తరువాత వెన్నును అటుతరువాత వెన్నులో ముదురు గింజలను తనంతటతానే పుట్టించును.

28. The earth produces [acting] by itself--first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.

29. పంట పండినప్పుడు కోతకాలము వచ్చినదని సేద్యగాడు వెంటనే కొడవలి పెట్టి కోయునని చెప్పెను.
యోవేలు 3:13

29. But when the grain is ripe and permits, immediately he sends forth [the reapers] and puts in the sickle, because the harvest stands ready.

30. మరియు ఆయన ఇట్లనెను దేవుని రాజ్యమును ఎట్లు పోల్చెదము? ఏ ఉపమానముతో దానిని ఉపమించెదము?

30. And He said, With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use to illustrate and explain it?

31. అది ఆవగింజను పోలియున్నది. ఆవగింజ భూమిలో విత్తబడినప్పుడు భూమిమీదనున్న విత్తనములన్నిటికంటె చిన్నదే గాని

31. It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all seeds upon the earth;

32. విత్తబడిన తరువాత అది మొలిచి యెదిగి కూర మొక్కలన్నిటికంటె పెద్దదైగొప్ప కొమ్మలు వేయును గనుక ఆకాశ పక్షులు దాని నీడను నివసింపగలవనెను.

32. Yet after it is sown, it grows up and becomes the greatest of all garden herbs and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air are able to make nests and dwell in its shade.

33. వారికి వినుటకు శక్తి కలిగినకొలది యీలాటి అనేక మైన ఉపమానములను చెప్పి, ఆయన వారికి వాక్యము బోధించెను.

33. With many such parables [Jesus] spoke the Word to them, as they were able to hear and to comprehend and understand.

34. ఉపమానము లేక వారికి బోధింపలేదు గాని ఒంటరిగా ఉన్నప్పుడు తన శిష్యులకు అన్నిటిని విశదపరచెను.

34. He did not tell them anything without a parable; but privately to His disciples (those who were peculiarly His own) He explained everything [fully].

35. ఆ దినమే సాయంకాలమైనప్పుడు ఆయన అద్దరికి పోవుదమని వారితో చెప్పగా,

35. On that same day [when] evening had come, He said to them, Let us go over to the other side [of the lake].

36. వారు జనులను పంపివేసి, ఆయనను ఉన్నపాటున చిన్నదోనెలో తీసికొనిపోయిరి; ఆయనవెంబడి మరికొన్ని దోనెలు వచ్చెను.

36. And leaving the throng, they took Him with them, [just] as He was, in the boat [in which He was sitting]. And other boats were with Him.

37. అప్పుడు పెద్ద తుపాను రేగి ఆయన యున్న దోనెమీద అలలు కొట్టినందున దోనె నిండిపోయెను.

37. And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled.

38. ఆయన దోనె అమరమున తలగడమీద (తల వాల్చుకొని) నిద్రించుచుండెను. వారాయనను లేపి--బోధకుడా, మేము నశించిపోవు చున్నాము; నీకు చింతలేదా? అని ఆయనతో అనిరి.

38. But He [Himself] was in the stern [of the boat], asleep on the [leather] cushion; and they awoke Him and said to Him, Master, do You not care that we are perishing?

39. అందుకాయన లేచి గాలిని గద్దించి నిశ్శబ్దమై ఊరకుండు మని సముద్ర ముతో చెప్పగా, గాలి అణగి మిక్కిలి నిమ్మళ మాయెను.

39. And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness).

40. అప్పుడాయన మీరెందుకు భయపడు చున్నారు? మీరింకను నమ్మికలేక యున్నారా? అని వారితో చెప్పెను.

40. He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)?

41. వారు మిక్కిలి భయపడి ఈయన ఎవరో, గాలియు సముద్రమును ఈయనకు లోబడు చున్నవని యొకనితో ఒకడు చెప్పుకొనిరి.
యెషయా 52:14

41. And they were filled with great awe and feared exceedingly and said one to another, Who then is this, that even wind and sea obey Him?
