1. నా జనులలో హతమైనవారినిగూర్చి నేను దివారాత్రము కన్నీరు విడుచునట్లు నా తల జలమయము గాను నా కన్ను కన్నీళ్ల ఊటగాను ఉండును గాక.

1. Oh, that my head were waters and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

2. నా జనులందరు వ్యభిచారులును ద్రోహుల సమూహమునై యున్నారు. అహహా, అరణ్యములో బాటసారుల బస నాకు దొరికిన ఎంత మేలు? నేను నా జనులను విడిచి వారియొద్దనుండి తొలగిపోవుదును.

2. Oh, that I had a lodging place for travelers in the wilderness, that I might leave my people and go away from them! For they are all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous ones.

3. విండ్లను త్రొక్కి వంచునట్లు అబద్ధమాడుటకై వారు తమ నాలుకను వంచుదురు; దేశములో తమకున్న బలమును నమ్మకముగా ఉపయోగపరచరు. నన్ను ఎరుగక కీడువెంట కీడు చేయుచు ప్రవర్తించుచున్నారు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

3. And they bend their tongues, their bow is a lie. And they are not mighty for the truth on the earth, for they go from evil to evil. They also do not know Me, says Jehovah.

4. మీలో ప్రతివాడును తన పొరుగు వాని విషయమై జాగ్రత్తగా నుండవలెను; ఏ సహోదరునినైనను నమ్మకుడి, నిజముగా ప్రతి సహోదరుడును తంత్రగొట్టయి తన సహోదరుని కొంపముంచును; ప్రతి పొరుగువాడును కొండెములు చెప్పుటకై తిరుగులాడుచున్నాడు.

4. Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, and do not trust any brother. For every brother will supplant, and every neighbor will walk as a slanderer.

5. సత్యము పలుకక ప్రతివాడును తన పొరుగువానిని వంచించును, అబద్ధములాడుట తమ నాలుకలకు అభ్యాసముచేసియున్నారు, ఎదుటివాని తప్పులు పట్టవలెనని ప్రయాసపడుదురు.

5. And everyone will deceive his neighbor, and they will not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies. They weary themselves to commit iniquity.

6. నీ నివాసస్థలము కాపట్యము మధ్యనే యున్నది, వారు కపటులై నన్ను తెలిసికొననొల్లకున్నారు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

6. Your home is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know Me, says Jehovah.

7. కావున సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుఆలకింపుము, వారిని చొక్కము చేయునట్లుగా నేను వారిని కరగించుచున్నాను, నా జనులనుబట్టి నేను మరేమి చేయుదును?

7. For this reason, so says Jehovah of Hosts, Behold, I will refine them and test them. For what else can I do because of the daughter of My people?

8. వారి నాలుక ఘాతుక బాణము, అది కాపట్యము పలుకుచున్నది; ఒకడు మనస్సులో వంచనాభిప్రాయముంచుకొని, నోట తన పొరుగువానితో సమాధానముగా మాటలాడును.

8. Their tongue is a murdering arrow; it speaks deceit. One speaks peace with his neighbor with his mouth, but in his heart he sets his ambush.

9. నేను ఈ సంగతులను తెలిసికొని వారిని శిక్షింపకపోదునా? ఇట్టి జనులకు నేను ప్రతిదండన చేయకుందునా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

9. Shall I not visit them for these things? says Jehovah. Or shall not My soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

10. పర్వతముల విషయమై రోదనమును అంగలార్పును చేయుదును; అరణ్యములోని మేతస్థలములనుబట్టి విలాపము చేయుదును; అవి పాడాయెను. సంచారము చేయువాడెవడును లేడు, పశువుల అరుపులు వినబడవు, ఆకాశ పక్షులును జంతువులును పారిపోయి యున్నవి, అవి తొలగిపోయి యున్నవి.

10. I will take up a weeping and a wailing for the mountains and a mourning for the pastures of the wilderness. For they are burned up, without a man passing through. Yea, they do not hear the voice of cattle. From the fowl of the heavens and to the beast, they have fled; they are gone.

11. యెరూషలేమును పాడు దిబ్బలుగాను నక్కలకు చోటుగాను నేను చేయున్నాను, యూదా పట్టణములను నివాసిలేని పాడు స్థలముగా చేయుచున్నాను.

11. And I will make Jerusalem ruins, a den of jackals; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without inhabitant.

12. ఈ సంగతిని గ్రహింపగల జ్ఞాని యెవడు? దానిని వాడు తెలియజేయునట్లు యెహోవా నోటి మాట ఎవనికి వచ్చెను?ఎవడును సంచరింపకుండ ఆ దేశము ఎడారివలె ఏల కాలిపోయి పాడాయెను?

12. Who is the wise man that can understand this? And he to whom the mouth of Jehovah has spoken, that he may declare it? Why does the land perish? It is burned up like the wilderness, so that no one passes through.

13. అందుకు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడువారు నా మాట వినకయు దాని ననుసరింపకయు, నేను వారికి నియమించిన నా ధర్మశాస్త్రమును విసర్జించి

13. And Jehovah says, Because they have forsaken My Law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, and have not walked in it;

14. తమ హృదయమూర్ఖతచొప్పున జరిగించుటకై తమ పితరులు తమకు నేర్పినట్లు బయలు దేవతలను అనుసరించుచున్నారు గనుకనే వారి దేశము పాడైపోయెను.

14. but have walked after the stubbornness of their own heart, and after the Baals, which their fathers taught them;

15. సైన్యములకధిపతియు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నేను ఈ ప్రజలకు చేదుకూరలు తినిపింతును, విషజలము త్రాగింతును.

15. so Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel, says this: Behold, I will feed them, this people with wormwood, and make them drink poison waters.

16. తామైనను తమ పితరులైనను ఎరుగని జనములలోనికి వారిని చెదరగొట్టు దును, వారిని నిర్మూలముచేయువరకు వారి వెంబడి ఖడ్గ మును పంపుదును.

16. I will also scatter them among the nations which they have not known, nor their fathers. And I will send the sword after them until I have consumed them.

17. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆలోచింపుడి, రోదనము చేయు స్త్రీలను కనుగొనుడి వారిని పిలువనంపుడి, తెలివిగల స్త్రీలను కనుగొనుడి వారిని పిలువనంపుడి.

17. So says Jehovah of Hosts, Consider and call for the wailers, that they may come. And send for the wise women, that they may come.

18. మన కన్నులు కన్నీళ్లు విడుచునట్లుగాను మన కనురెప్పలనుండి నీళ్లు ఒలుకునట్లుగాను వారు త్వరపడి మనకు రోదనధ్వని చేయవలెను.

18. And let them make haste and take up a lament over us, so that our eyes may run down with tears, and waters flow from our eyelids.

19. మనము వలసబోతిమే సిగ్గునొందితిమే, వారు మన నివాసములను పడగొట్టగా మనము దేశము విడువవలసివచ్చెనే అని సీయోనులో రోదనధ్వని వినబడు చున్నది.

19. For the voice of lament is heard from Zion. How we are ravaged! We are greatly ashamed because we have forsaken the land; because they have thrown down our dwellings.

20. స్త్రీలారా, యెహోవా మాట వినుడి మీరు చెవియొగ్గి ఆయన నోటిమాట ఆలకించుడి, మీ కుమార్తెలకు రోదనము చేయనేర్పుడి, ఒకరికొకరు అంగలార్పు విద్య నేర్పుడి.

20. Yet hear the Word of Jehovah, women. And let your ear receive the Word of His mouth, and teach your daughters a lament, and each one her neighbor a dirge.

21. వీధులలో పసిపిల్లలు లేకుండను, రాజ మార్గములలో ¸యౌవనులు లేకుండను, వారిని నాశనము చేయుటకై మరణము మన కిటికీలను ఎక్కుచున్నది, మన నగరులలో ప్రవేశించుచున్నది.

21. For death has come into our windows, entering into our fortresses, to cut off the children from the street, the young men from the plazas.

22. యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదేనీవీమాట చెప్పుముచేలమీద పెంటపడునట్లు పంట కోయు వాని వెనుక పిడికిళ్లు పడునట్లు ఎవడును సమకూర్చ కుండ మనుష్యుల శవములు పడును, వాటిని కూర్చువాడెవడును లేకపోవును.

22. Speak, So says Jehovah, Even the bodies of men shall fall as dung on the open field, and as the swath after the reaper, and no one shall gather them.

23. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు జ్ఞాని తన జ్ఞానమునుబట్టియు శూరుడు తన శౌర్యమునుబట్టియు అతిశయింపకూడదు, ఐశ్వర్యవంతుడు తన ఐశ్వర్యమునుబట్టి అతిశయింపకూడదు.

23. So says Jehovah, Do not let the wise glory in his wisdom, and do not let the mighty glory in his might. Do not let the rich glory in his riches.

24. అతిశయించువాడు దేనినిబట్టి అతిశయింపవలెననగా, భూమిమీద కృపచూపుచు నీతి న్యాయములు జరిగించుచునున్న యెహోవాను నేనేయని గ్రహించి నన్ను పరిశీలనగా తెలిసికొనుటనుబట్టియే అతి శయింపవలెను; అట్టి వాటిలో నేనానందించువాడనని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

24. But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am Jehovah, doing kindness, justice and righteousness in the earth; for I delight in these, says Jehovah.

25. అన్యజనులందరును సున్నతిపొందనివారు గనుక, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరు హృదయ సంబంధమైన సున్నతినొందినవారు కారు గనుక, రాబోవుదినములలో సున్నతిపొందియు సున్నతిలేని వారి వలెనుండు

25. Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will punish all the circumcised with foreskin:

26. Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the sons of Ammon, and Moab, and all those trimmed on the edges of their beards, who dwell in the wilderness. For all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel, those uncircumcised of heart.
