1. నా జనులలో హతమైనవారినిగూర్చి నేను దివారాత్రము కన్నీరు విడుచునట్లు నా తల జలమయము గాను నా కన్ను కన్నీళ్ల ఊటగాను ఉండును గాక.

1. O that my head were a spring of water, and my eyes a fountain of tears, so that I might weep day and night for the slain of my poor people!

2. నా జనులందరు వ్యభిచారులును ద్రోహుల సమూహమునై యున్నారు. అహహా, అరణ్యములో బాటసారుల బస నాకు దొరికిన ఎంత మేలు? నేను నా జనులను విడిచి వారియొద్దనుండి తొలగిపోవుదును.

2. O that I had in the desert a traveler's lodging place, that I might leave my people and go away from them! For they are all adulterers, a band of traitors.

3. విండ్లను త్రొక్కి వంచునట్లు అబద్ధమాడుటకై వారు తమ నాలుకను వంచుదురు; దేశములో తమకున్న బలమును నమ్మకముగా ఉపయోగపరచరు. నన్ను ఎరుగక కీడువెంట కీడు చేయుచు ప్రవర్తించుచున్నారు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

3. They bend their tongues like bows; they have grown strong in the land for falsehood, and not for truth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know me, says the LORD.

4. మీలో ప్రతివాడును తన పొరుగు వాని విషయమై జాగ్రత్తగా నుండవలెను; ఏ సహోదరునినైనను నమ్మకుడి, నిజముగా ప్రతి సహోదరుడును తంత్రగొట్టయి తన సహోదరుని కొంపముంచును; ప్రతి పొరుగువాడును కొండెములు చెప్పుటకై తిరుగులాడుచున్నాడు.

4. Beware of your neighbors, and put no trust in any of your kin; for all your kin are supplanters, and every neighbor goes around like a slanderer.

5. సత్యము పలుకక ప్రతివాడును తన పొరుగువానిని వంచించును, అబద్ధములాడుట తమ నాలుకలకు అభ్యాసముచేసియున్నారు, ఎదుటివాని తప్పులు పట్టవలెనని ప్రయాసపడుదురు.

5. They all deceive their neighbors, and no one speaks the truth; they have taught their tongues to speak lies; they commit iniquity and are too weary to repent.

6. నీ నివాసస్థలము కాపట్యము మధ్యనే యున్నది, వారు కపటులై నన్ను తెలిసికొననొల్లకున్నారు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

6. Oppression upon oppression, deceit upon deceit! They refuse to know me, says the LORD.

7. కావున సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుఆలకింపుము, వారిని చొక్కము చేయునట్లుగా నేను వారిని కరగించుచున్నాను, నా జనులనుబట్టి నేను మరేమి చేయుదును?

7. Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts: I will now refine and test them, for what else can I do with my sinful people?

8. వారి నాలుక ఘాతుక బాణము, అది కాపట్యము పలుకుచున్నది; ఒకడు మనస్సులో వంచనాభిప్రాయముంచుకొని, నోట తన పొరుగువానితో సమాధానముగా మాటలాడును.

8. Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks deceit through the mouth. They all speak friendly words to their neighbors, but inwardly are planning to lay an ambush.

9. నేను ఈ సంగతులను తెలిసికొని వారిని శిక్షింపకపోదునా? ఇట్టి జనులకు నేను ప్రతిదండన చేయకుందునా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

9. Shall I not punish them for these things? says the LORD; and shall I not bring retribution on a nation such as this?

10. పర్వతముల విషయమై రోదనమును అంగలార్పును చేయుదును; అరణ్యములోని మేతస్థలములనుబట్టి విలాపము చేయుదును; అవి పాడాయెను. సంచారము చేయువాడెవడును లేడు, పశువుల అరుపులు వినబడవు, ఆకాశ పక్షులును జంతువులును పారిపోయి యున్నవి, అవి తొలగిపోయి యున్నవి.

10. Take up weeping and wailing for the mountains, and a lamentation for the pastures of the wilderness, because they are laid waste so that no one passes through, and the lowing of cattle is not heard; both the birds of the air and the animals have fled and are gone.

11. యెరూషలేమును పాడు దిబ్బలుగాను నక్కలకు చోటుగాను నేను చేయున్నాను, యూదా పట్టణములను నివాసిలేని పాడు స్థలముగా చేయుచున్నాను.

11. I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a lair of jackals; and I will make the towns of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant.

12. ఈ సంగతిని గ్రహింపగల జ్ఞాని యెవడు? దానిని వాడు తెలియజేయునట్లు యెహోవా నోటి మాట ఎవనికి వచ్చెను?ఎవడును సంచరింపకుండ ఆ దేశము ఎడారివలె ఏల కాలిపోయి పాడాయెను?

12. Who is wise enough to understand this? To whom has the mouth of the LORD spoken, so that they may declare it? Why is the land ruined and laid waste like a wilderness, so that no one passes through?

13. అందుకు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడువారు నా మాట వినకయు దాని ననుసరింపకయు, నేను వారికి నియమించిన నా ధర్మశాస్త్రమును విసర్జించి

13. And the LORD says: Because they have forsaken my law that I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, or walked in accordance with it,

14. తమ హృదయమూర్ఖతచొప్పున జరిగించుటకై తమ పితరులు తమకు నేర్పినట్లు బయలు దేవతలను అనుసరించుచున్నారు గనుకనే వారి దేశము పాడైపోయెను.

14. but have stubbornly followed their own hearts and have gone after the Baals, as their ancestors taught them.

15. సైన్యములకధిపతియు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నేను ఈ ప్రజలకు చేదుకూరలు తినిపింతును, విషజలము త్రాగింతును.

15. Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: I am feeding this people with wormwood, and giving them poisonous water to drink.

16. తామైనను తమ పితరులైనను ఎరుగని జనములలోనికి వారిని చెదరగొట్టు దును, వారిని నిర్మూలముచేయువరకు వారి వెంబడి ఖడ్గ మును పంపుదును.

16. I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their ancestors have known; and I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.

17. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆలోచింపుడి, రోదనము చేయు స్త్రీలను కనుగొనుడి వారిని పిలువనంపుడి, తెలివిగల స్త్రీలను కనుగొనుడి వారిని పిలువనంపుడి.

17. Thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider, and call for the mourning women to come; send for the skilled women to come;

18. మన కన్నులు కన్నీళ్లు విడుచునట్లుగాను మన కనురెప్పలనుండి నీళ్లు ఒలుకునట్లుగాను వారు త్వరపడి మనకు రోదనధ్వని చేయవలెను.

18. let them quickly raise a dirge over us, so that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids flow with water.

19. మనము వలసబోతిమే సిగ్గునొందితిమే, వారు మన నివాసములను పడగొట్టగా మనము దేశము విడువవలసివచ్చెనే అని సీయోనులో రోదనధ్వని వినబడు చున్నది.

19. For a sound of wailing is heard from Zion: How we are ruined! We are utterly shamed, because we have left the land, because they have cast down our dwellings.

20. స్త్రీలారా, యెహోవా మాట వినుడి మీరు చెవియొగ్గి ఆయన నోటిమాట ఆలకించుడి, మీ కుమార్తెలకు రోదనము చేయనేర్పుడి, ఒకరికొకరు అంగలార్పు విద్య నేర్పుడి.

20. Hear, O women, the word of the LORD, and let your ears receive the word of his mouth; teach to your daughters a dirge, and each to her neighbor a lament.

21. వీధులలో పసిపిల్లలు లేకుండను, రాజ మార్గములలో ¸యౌవనులు లేకుండను, వారిని నాశనము చేయుటకై మరణము మన కిటికీలను ఎక్కుచున్నది, మన నగరులలో ప్రవేశించుచున్నది.

21. Death has come up into our windows, it has entered our palaces, to cut off the children from the streets and the young men from the squares.

22. యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదేనీవీమాట చెప్పుముచేలమీద పెంటపడునట్లు పంట కోయు వాని వెనుక పిడికిళ్లు పడునట్లు ఎవడును సమకూర్చ కుండ మనుష్యుల శవములు పడును, వాటిని కూర్చువాడెవడును లేకపోవును.

22. Speak! Thus says the LORD: Human corpses shall fall like dung upon the open field, like sheaves behind the reaper, and no one shall gather them.

23. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు జ్ఞాని తన జ్ఞానమునుబట్టియు శూరుడు తన శౌర్యమునుబట్టియు అతిశయింపకూడదు, ఐశ్వర్యవంతుడు తన ఐశ్వర్యమునుబట్టి అతిశయింపకూడదు.

23. Thus says the LORD: Do not let the wise boast in their wisdom, do not let the mighty boast in their might, do not let the wealthy boast in their wealth;

24. అతిశయించువాడు దేనినిబట్టి అతిశయింపవలెననగా, భూమిమీద కృపచూపుచు నీతి న్యాయములు జరిగించుచునున్న యెహోవాను నేనేయని గ్రహించి నన్ను పరిశీలనగా తెలిసికొనుటనుబట్టియే అతి శయింపవలెను; అట్టి వాటిలో నేనానందించువాడనని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

24. but let those who boast boast in this, that they understand and know me, that I am the LORD; I act with steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, says the LORD.

25. The days are surely coming, says the LORD, when I will attend to all those who are circumcised only in the foreskin:

26. Egypt, Judah, Edom, the Ammonites, Moab, and all those with shaven temples who live in the desert. For all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart.
