1. యెహోవాయొద్దనుండి యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన వాక్కు

1. The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,

2. నీవు యెహోవా మందిర ద్వారమున నిలువ బడి ఈ మాట అచ్చటనే ప్రకటింపుము యెహోవాకు నమస్కారముచేయుటకై యీ ద్వారములలో బడి ప్రవేశించు యూదావారలారా, యెహోవా మాట వినుడి.

2. Stand in the gate of the house of Jehovah, and thou hast proclaimed there this word, and hast said, Hear a word of Jehovah, all ye of Judah, who are coming in at these gates, to bow before Jehovah:

3. సైన్యములకధిపతియు ఇశ్రాయేలుయొక్క దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నేను ఈ స్థలమున మిమ్మును నివసింపజేయునట్లు మీ మార్గములను మీ క్రియలను దిద్దుకొనుడి

3. Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Amend your ways, and your doings, And I cause you to dwell in this place.

4. ఈ స్థలము యెహోవా ఆలయము, ఈ స్థలము యెహోవా ఆలయము, ఈ స్థలము యెహోవా ఆలయము అని మీరు చెప్పుకొనుచున్నారే; యీ మోసకరమైన మాటలు ఆధారము చేసికొనకుడి.

4. Do not trust for yourselves Unto the words of falsehood, saying, The temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, The temple of Jehovah [are] they!

5. ఆలాగనక, మీ మార్గములను మీ క్రియలను మీరు యథార్థముగా చక్కపరచుకొని, ప్రతివాడు తన పొరుగు వానియెడల తప్పక న్యాయము జరిగించి.

5. For, if ye do thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, If ye do judgment thoroughly Between a man and his neighbour,

6. పరదేశులను తండ్రిలేని వారిని విధవరాండ్రను బాధింపకయు ఈ చోట నిర్దోషిరక్తము చిందింపకయు, మీకు కీడు కలుగజేయు అన్యదేవతలను అనుసరింపకయు నుండినయెడల

6. Sojourner, fatherless, and widow, ye oppress not, And innocent blood do not shed in this place, And after other gods do not walk, for evil to yourselves,

7. ఈ స్థలమున తమకు నిత్యముగా నుండుటకై పూర్వకాలమున నేను మీ పితరులకిచ్చిన దేశమున మిమ్మును కాపురముంచుదును.

7. Then I have caused you to dwell in this place, In the land that I gave to your fathers, From age even unto age.

8. ఇదిగో అబద్ధపుమాటలను మీరు నమ్ముకొను చున్నారు. అవి మీకు నిష్‌ప్రయోజనములు.

8. Lo, ye are trusting for yourselves On the words of falsehood, so as not to profit.

9. ఇదేమి? మీరు జారచోర క్రియలను నరహత్యను చేయుచు

9. Stealing, murdering, and committing adultery, And swearing to falsehood, and giving perfume to Baal, And going after other gods whom ye knew not.

10. అబద్ధసాక్ష్యము పలుకుచు బయలునకు ధూపమువేయుచు మీరెరుగని దేవతలను అనుసరించుచున్నారే; అయినను నా నామము పెట్టబడిన యీ మందిరములోనికి వచ్చి నా సన్నిధిని నిలుచుచు విడుదలనొందియున్నామని మీరు చెప్పుదురు; ఈ హేయక్రియలన్నియు జరిగించుటకేనా మీరు విడుదలనొందితిరి?

10. And ye have come in and stood before Me, In this house on which My name is called, And have said, 'We have been delivered,' In order to do all these abominations.

11. నాదని చాటబడిన యీ మంది రము మీ దృష్టికి దొంగలగుహయైనదా? ఆలోచించుడి, నేనే యీ సంగతి కనుగొనుచున్నాను. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

11. A den of burglars hath this house, On which My name is called, been in your eyes? Even I, lo, I have seen, an affirmation of Jehovah.

12. పూర్వమున నేను నా నామము నిలిపిన షిలోహునందున్న నా స్థలమునకు పోయి విచారణ చేయుడి, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులైన నా జనుల దుష్టత్వమును బట్టి నేను దానికి చేసిన కార్యము చూడుడి; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

12. But go ye, I pray you, Unto My place that [is] in Shiloh, Where I caused My name to dwell at first, And see that which I have done to it, For the wickedness of My people Israel.

13. నేను మీతో మాటలాడినను పెందలకడ లేచి మీతో మాటలాడినను మీరు వినకయు, మిమ్మును పిలిచినను మీరు ఉత్తరమియ్యకయు నుండినవారై యీ క్రియలన్నిటిని చేసితిరి గనుక

13. And now, because of your doing all these works, An affirmation of Jehovah, And I speak unto you, rising early and speaking, And ye have not hearkened, And I call you, and ye have not answered,

14. నేను షిలోహునకు చేసినట్లు మీకు ఆశ్రయమై నా నామముపెట్టబడిన యీ మందిరమునకును మీకును మీ తండ్రులకును నేనిచ్చిన స్థలమునకును నేను ఆలాగే చేయుదును.

14. I also to the house on which My name is called, In which ye are trusting, And to the place that I gave to you, and to your fathers, Have done, as I have done to Shiloh.

15. ఎఫ్రాయిము సంతానమగు మీ సహోదరులనందరిని నేను వెళ్లగొట్టినట్లు మిమ్మును నా సన్నిధినుండి వెళ్లగొట్టుదును.

15. And I have cast you from before My face, As I have cast out all your brethren, The whole seed of Ephraim.

16. కాబట్టి నీవు ఈ జనము కొరకు ప్రార్థనచేయకుము, వారికొరకు మొఱ్ఱ నైనను ప్రార్థననైనను చేయకుము, నన్ను బతిమాలుకొనకుము, నేను నీ మాట వినను.

16. And thou dost not pray for this people, Nor lift up for them crying and prayer, Nor intercede with Me, for I hear thee not.

17. యూదాపట్టణములలోను యెరూషలేము వీధులలోను వారు చేయుచున్న క్రియలను నీవు చూచుచున్నావు గదా.

17. Art thou not seeing what they are doing In cities of Judah, and in streets of Jerusalem?

18. నాకు కోపము పుట్టించునట్లు ఆకాశరాణి దేవతకు పిండివంటలు చేయవలెననియు, అన్య దేవతలకు పానార్పణములు పోయవలెననియు పిల్లలు కట్టెలు ఏరుచున్నారు తండ్రులు అగ్ని రాజ బెట్టుచున్నారు స్త్రీలు పిండి పిసుకుచున్నారు.

18. The sons are gathering wood, And the fathers are causing the fire to burn, And the women are kneading dough, To make cakes to the queen of the heavens, And to pour out libations to other gods, So as to provoke Me to anger.

19. నాకే కోపము పుట్టించునంతగా వారు దాని చేయుచున్నారా? తమకే అవమానము కలుగు నంతగా చేయుచున్నారు గదా, యిదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

19. Me are they provoking to anger? an affirmation of Jehovah, Is it not themselves, For the shame of their own faces?

20. అందువలన ప్రభువగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఈ స్థలముమీదను నరులమీదను జంతువులమీదను పొలముల చెట్లమీదను భూమిపంట మీదను నా కోపమును నా ఉగ్రతను కుమ్మరించెదను, ఆర్పశక్యము కాకుండ అది మండును.

20. Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah, Lo, Mine anger and My fury is poured out on this place, On man, and beast, and on tree of the field, And on fruit of the ground, And it hath burned, and it is not quenched.

21. సైన్యములకధిపతియు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మీ దహన బలులను మీ బలులను కలిపి మాంసము భక్షించుడి.

21. Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Your burnt-offerings add to your sacrifices, And eat ye flesh.

22. నేను ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనుండి మీ పితరులను రప్పించిన దినమున దహనబలులనుగూర్చిగాని బలులనుగూర్చిగాని నేను వారితో చెప్పలేదు, అట్టి వాటినిగూర్చి నేను ఏ ఆజ్ఞయు ఇయ్యలేదు, ఈ ఆజ్ఞను మాత్రమే నేను వానికిచ్చి తిని

22. For I did not speak with your fathers, Nor did I command them in the day of My bringing them out of the land of Egypt, Concerning the matters of burnt-offering and sacrifice,

23. ఏదనగానా మాటలు మీరు అంగీకరించినయెడల నేను మీకు దేవుడనై యుందును మీరు నాకు జనులై యుందురు; మీకు క్షేమము కలుగునట్లు నేను మీకాజ్ఞా పించుచున్న మార్గమంతటియందు మీరు నడుచుకొనుడి.

23. But this thing I commanded them, saying: Hearken to My voice, And I have been to you for God, And ye -- ye are to Me for a people, And have walked in all the way that I command you, So that it is well for you.

24. అయితే వారు వినకపోయిరి, చెవియొగ్గకుండిరి, ముందుకు సాగక వెనుకదీయుచు తమ ఆలోచనలనుబట్టి తమ దుష్ట హృదయకాఠిన్యము ననుసరించి నడుచుచు వచ్చిరి.

24. And they have not hearkened, nor inclined their ear, And they walk in the counsels, In the stubbornness, of their evil heart, And are for backward, and not for forward.

25. మీ పితరులు ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనుండి బయలుదేరి వచ్చిన దినము మొదలుకొని నేటివరకు మీరు వెనుకదీయుచు వచ్చిన వారే; నేను అనుదినము పెందలకడ లేచి ప్రవక్తలైన నా సేవకులనందరిని మీ యొద్దకు పంపుచు వచ్చితిని.

25. Even from the day when your fathers Went out of the land of Egypt till this day, I send to you all my servants the prophets, Daily rising early and sending,

26. వారు నా మాట వినకయున్నారు చెవియొగ్గకయున్నారు తమ మెడను వంచక మనస్సును కఠినపరచుకొనుచున్నారు; వారు తమ పితరులకంటె మరి దుష్టులైరి.

26. And they have not hearkened unto Me, Nor inclined their ear, and harden their neck, They have done evil above their fathers.

27. నీవు ఈ మాటలన్నియు వారితో చెప్పినను వారు నీ మాటలంగీకరింపరు, నీవు వారిని పిలిచినను వారు నీకుత్తరమియ్యరు

27. And thou hast spoken unto them all these words, And they do not hearken to thee, And thou hast called unto them, And they do not answer thee.

28. గనుక నీవు వారితో ఈలాగు చెప్పుము - వీరు తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మాట విననివారు, శిక్షకు లోబడనొల్లనివారు, కాబట్టి నమ్మకము వారిలోనుండి తొలగిపోయియున్నది, అది వారి నోట నుండకుండ కొట్టి వేయబడియున్నది.

28. And thou hast said unto them: This [is] the nation that hath not hearkened, To the voice of Jehovah its God, Nor have they accepted instruction, Perished hath stedfastness, Yea, it hath been cut off from their mouth.

29. తనకు కోపము తెప్పించు తరమువారిని యెహోవా విసర్జించి వెళ్లగొట్టుచున్నాడు; సీయోనూ నీ తలవెండ్రు కలను కత్తిరించుకొనుము, వాటిని పారవేయుము, చెట్లులేని మెట్టలమీద ప్రలాపవాక్య మెత్తుము.

29. Cut off thy crown, and cast [it] away, And lift up on high places lamentation, For Jehovah hath rejected, And He leaveth the generation of His wrath.

30. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుయూదా వారు నా దృష్టికి చెడ్డక్రియలు చేయుచున్నారు, నా నామముపెట్టబడిన మందిరము అపవిత్రపడునట్లు వారు దానిలో హేయ వస్తువులను ఉంచియున్నారు.

30. For the sons of Judah Have done the evil thing in Mine eyes, An affirmation of Jehovah, They have set their abominations in the house On which My name is called -- to defile it,

31. నేనాజ్ఞాపించని క్రియను నాకు తోచని క్రియను వారు చేసియున్నారు, అగ్నిలో తమ కుమారులను తమ కుమార్తెలను దహించుటకు బెన్‌ హిన్నోము లోయలోనున్న తోఫెతునందు బలిపీఠములను కట్టుకొనియున్నారు.

31. And have built the high places of Tophet, That [are] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, To burn their sons and their daughters with fire, Which I did not command, Nor did it come up on My heart.

32. కాలము సమీపించుచున్నది; అప్పుడు అది తోఫెతు అనియైనను బెన్‌హిన్నోము లోయ అనియైనను అనబడక వధలోయ అనబడును; పాతిపెట్టు టకు స్థలము లేకపోవువరకు తోఫెతులో శవములు పాతి పెట్టబడును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

32. Therefore, lo, days are coming, An affirmation of Jehovah, And it is not said any more, 'The Tophet,' And 'Valley of the son of Hinnom,' But 'Valley of the slaughter,' And they have buried in Tophet -- without place.

33. ఈ జనుల శవములు ఆకాశపక్షులకును భూజంతువులకును ఆహారమగును, వాటిని తోలివేయువాడు లేకపోవును.

33. And the carcase of this people hath been for food To a fowl of the heavens, and to a beast of the earth, And there is none troubling.

34. ఉల్లాస ధ్వనియు ఆనందధ్వనియు పెండ్లికుమారుని స్వరమును పెండ్లికుమార్తె స్వరమును యూదా పట్టణములలోను యెరూషలేము వీధులలోను లేకుండచేసెదను; ఈ దేశము తప్పక పాడైపోవును.

34. And I have caused to cease from cities of Judah, And from streets of Jerusalem, The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, Voice of bridegroom, and voice of bride, For the land doth become a desolation!
