1. ఏడవ మాసమున ఎలీషామా మనుమడును నెతన్యా కుమారుడును రాజవంశస్థుడును రాజుయొక్క ప్రధానులలో నొకడునగు ఇష్మాయేలనువాడును, అతనితో పది మంది మనుష్యులును, మిస్పాలోనున్న అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాయొద్దకు వచ్చి అక్కడ అతనితోకూడ మిస్పాలో భోజనముచేసిరి.

1. But in the seuenth moneth came Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, the sonne of Elishama of the seede royall, and the princes of the King, and tenne men with him, vnto Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam to Mizpah, and there they did eate bread together in Mizpah.

2. అప్పుడు నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలు అతనితో కూడనున్న ఆ పదిమంది మనుష్యులును లేచి షాఫాను మనుమడును అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాను ఖడ్గముచేత హతముచేసిరి; బబులోనురాజు ఆ దేశముమీద అతని అధికారినిగా నియ మించినందున అతని చంపిరి.

2. Then arose Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah with these tenne men that were with him, and smote Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan with the sword, and slewe him, whom the King of Babel had made gouernour ouer the lande.

3. మరియు మిస్పాలో గెదల్యా యొద్ద ఉండిన యూదుల నందరిని, అక్కడ దొరికిన యోధులగు కల్దీయులను ఇష్మాయేలు చంపెను.

3. Ishmael also slewe all the Iewes that were with Gedaliah at Mizpah, and all the Caldeans that were found there, and the men of warre.

4. అతడు గెదల్యాను చంపిన రెండవనాడు అది ఎవరికిని తెలియబడక మునుపు

4. Now the second day that he had slaine Gedaliah, and no man knewe it,

5. గడ్డములు క్షౌరము చేయించుకొని వస్త్రములు చింపుకొని దేహములు గాయపరచుకొనిన యెనుబదిమంది పురుషులు యెహోవా మందిరమునకు తీసికొని పోవుటకై నైవేద్యములను ధూపద్రవ్యములను చేతపట్టుకొని షెకెము నుండియు షిలోహు నుండియు షోమ్రోనునుండియు రాగా

5. There came men from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, euen fourescore men, hauing their beardes shauen, and their clothes rent and cut, with offerings and incense in their hands to offer in the house of the Lord.

6. నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలు దారి పొడుగున ఏడ్చుచు, వారిని ఎదుర్కొనుటకు మిస్పాలోనుండి బయలు వెళ్లి వారిని కలిసికొని వారితో అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యా యొద్దకు రండనెను.

6. And Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meete them, weeping as he went: and when he met them, he said vnto them, Come to Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam.

7. అయితే వారు ఆ పట్టణము మధ్యను ప్రవేశించినప్పుడు నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలును అతనితోకూడ ఉన్నవారును వారిని చంపి గోతిలో పడవేసిరి.

7. And when they came into the middes of the citie, Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah slewe them, and cast them into the middes of the pit, he and the men that were with him.

8. అయితే వారిలో పదిమంది మనుష్యులు ఇష్మాయేలుతో పొలములలో దాచబడిన గోధుమలు యవలు తైలము తేనె మొదలైన ద్రవ్యములు మాకు కలవు, మమ్మును చంపకుమని చెప్పుకొనగా అతడు వారి సహోదరులతో కూడ వారిని చంపక మానెను.

8. But tenne men were founde among them, that saide vnto Ishmael, Slay vs not: for we haue treasures in the fielde, of wheate, and of barley, and of oyle, and of honie: so he stayed, and slew them not among their brethren.

9. ఇష్మాయేలు గెదల్యాతోకూడ చంపిన మనుష్యుల శవములన్నిటిని పడవేసిన గోయి రాజైన ఆసా ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన బయషాకు భయపడి త్రవ్వించిన గొయ్యియే; నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలు చంపబడినవారి శవములతో దాని నింపెను.

9. Now the pit wherein Ishmael had cast the dead bodies of the men (whom he had slayne because of Gedaliah) is it, which Asa the King had made because of Basha King of Israel, and Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah filled it with them that were slaine.

10. అప్పుడు ఇష్మాయేలు మిస్పాలోనున్న జనశేష మంతటిని రాజ కుమార్తెలనందరిని అనగా రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల కధిపతియైన నెబూజరదాను అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాకు అప్పగించిన జనులందరిని, చెరతీసికొనిపోయెను. నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలు వారిని చెరతీసికొనిపోయి అమ్మోనీయులయొద్దకు చేరవలెనని ప్రయత్నపడుచుండగా

10. Then Ishmael caryed away captiue all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah, euen the Kings daughters, and all the people that remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward had committed to Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, and Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah caried them away captiue, and departed to goe ouer to the Ammonites.

11. కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును అతనితోకూడనున్న సేనాధిపతులందరును నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలు చేసిన సమస్త దుష్కార్యములను గూర్చిన వార్త విని

11. But when Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste that were with him, heard of all the euill that Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah had done,

12. పురుషులనందరిని పిలుచుకొని, నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలుతో యుద్ధము చేయబోయి, గిబియోనులోనున్న మహా జలముల దగ్గర అతని కలిసికొనిరి.

12. Then they all tooke their men, and went to fight with Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, and founde him by ye great waters that are in Gibeon.

13. ఇష్మాయేలుతో కూడనున్న ప్రజలందరు కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును, అతనితో కూడనున్న సేనాధిపతులనందరిని చూచినప్పుడు వారు సంతోషించి

13. Nowe when all the people whom Ishmael caryed away captiue, sawe Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste, that were with him, they were glad.

14. ఇష్మాయేలు మిస్పాలో నుండి చెరగొనిపోయిన ప్రజలందరు అతని విడిచి కారేహ కుమారుడైన యెహానానుతో కలిసిరి.

14. So all the people, that Ishmael had caryed away captiue from Mizpah, returned and came againe, and went vnto Iohanan the sonne of Kareah.

15. అయినను, నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలును ఎనమండుగురు మనుష్యులును యోహానాను చేతిలోనుండి తప్పించుకొని అమ్మోనీయుల యొద్దకు పారి పోయిరి.

15. But Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, escaped from Iohanan with eight men, and went to the Ammonites.

16. అప్పుడు నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలు అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాను చంపిన తరువాత,

16. Then tooke Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste that were with him, all the remnant of the people, whom Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah had caried away captiue from Mizpah, (after that he had slaine Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam) euen the strong men of warre, and the women, and the children, and the eunuches, whom hee had brought againe from Gibeon:

17. కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును అతనితో కూడనున్న సేనల యధిపతులందరును మిస్పా దగ్గరనుండి ఇష్మాయేలు నొద్దనుండి జనశేషమంతటిని, అనగా గిబియోను దగ్గరనుండి ఇష్మాయేలు కొనిపోయిన యోధులను స్త్రీలను పిల్లలను, రాజపరివారమును మరల రప్పించిరి;

17. And they departed and dwelt in Geruth Chimham, which is by Beth-lehem, to goe and to enter into Egypt,

18. అయితే వారు బబులోనురాజు దేశముమీద అధికారినిగా నియమించిన అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాను నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలు చంపినందున వారు కల్దీయులకు భయపడి ఐగుప్తునకు వెళ్లుదమనుకొని బేత్లెహేముదగ్గరనున్న గెరూతు కింహాములో దిగిరి.

18. Because of the Caldeans: for they feared them, because Ishmael ye sonne of Nethaniah had slaine Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, whom the King of Babel made gouernour in the land.
