1. తరువాత తూరునకు రాజైన హీరాము తన తండ్రికి బదులుగా సొలొమోను పట్టాభిషేకము నొందెనని విని తన సేవకులను సొలొమోనునొద్దకు పంపెను; ఏలయనగా హీరాము ఎప్పటికి దావీదుతో స్నేహముగా నుండెను.

1. And Hiram King of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon, for he had heard that, him, had they anointed king, in the room of his father, for, Hiram, was, a lover, of, David continually.

2. హీరామునొద్దకు సొలొమోను ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెను.

2. So Solomon sent unto Hiram, saying:

3. యెహోవా నా తండ్రియైన దావీదు శత్రువులను అతని పాదములక్రింద అణచు వరకు అన్నివైపులను యుద్ధములు అతనికి కలిగియుండెను.

3. Thou, knewest David my father, how that he could not build a house unto the Name of Yahweh his God, because of the wars that were about him on every side, until Yahweh should put them under the soles of his feet;

4. తన దేవుడైన యెహోవా నామ ఘనతకు అతడు మందిరమును కట్టింప వీలులేక పోయెనన్న సంగతి నీ వెరుగుదువు. ఇప్పుడు శత్రువు ఒకడును లేకుండను అపాయమేమియు కలుగకుండను నా దేవుడైన యెహోవా నలుదిశలను నాకు నెమ్మది దయచేసి యున్నాడు.

4. but, now, Yahweh my God hath given me rest on every side, there is neither adversary nor incident of evil.

5. కాబట్టినీ సింహాసనముమీద నేను నీకు బదులుగా కూర్చుండబెట్టు నీ కుమారుడు నా నామఘనతకు ఒక మందిరమును కట్టించునని యెహోవా నా తండ్రి యైన దావీదునకు సెలవిచ్చినట్లు నా దేవు డైన యెహోవా నామఘనతకు ఒక మందిరమును కట్టించుటకు నేను ఉద్దేశము గలవాడనై యున్నాను.

5. Behold me! then, purposing to build a house for the Name of Yahweh my God even as Yahweh spake unto David my father, saying Thy son, whom I will set in thy stead, upon thy throne, he, shall build the house for my Name.

6. లెబానోనులో దేవదారు మ్రానులను నరికించుటకై నాకు సెలవిమ్ము; నా సేవకులును నీ సేవకులును కలిసి పని చేయుదురు; మ్రానులను నరుకుట యందు సీదోనీయులకు సాటియైనవారు మాలో ఎవరును లేరని నీకు తెలియును గనుక

6. Now, therefore, command thou that they fell me cedars, out of Lebanon, and, my servants, shall be, with thy servants, and, the hire of thy servants, will I give thee, according to all that thou shalt say, for, thou, knowest, that, none amongst us, hath skill to fell timber, like the Zidonians.

7. నీ యేర్పాటుచొప్పున నేను నీ సేవకుల జీతము నీకిచ్చెదను అనెను. హీరాము సొలొమోను చెప్పిన మాటలు విని బహుగా సంతోషపడి ఈ గొప్ప జనమును ఏలుటకు జ్ఞానముగల కుమారుని దావీదునకు దయచేసిన యెహోవాకు ఈ దినమున స్తోత్రము కలుగునుగాక అని చెప్పి

7. And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said: Blessed, be Yahweh, to-day, who hath given unto David a wise son, over this great people!

8. సొలొమోనునకు ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెనునీవు నాయొద్దకు పంపిన వర్త మానమును నేను అంగీకరించితిని; దేవదారు మ్రానులను గూర్చియు సరళపు మ్రానులనుగూర్చియు నీ కోరిక యంతటి ప్రకారము నేను చేయించెదను.

8. And Hiram sent unto Solomon, saying, I have heard that which thou hast sent unto me, I, will do all thy desire, as to timber of cedar, and timber of fir.

9. నా సేవకులు వాటిని లెబానోనునుండి సముద్రమునొద్దకు తెచ్చెదరు; అప్పుడు వాటిని తెప్పలుగా కట్టించి నీవు నాకు నిర్ణయించు స్థలమునకు సముద్రముమీద చేరునట్లు చేసి, అక్కడ అవి నీకు అప్పగింపబడు బందోబస్తు నేను చేయుదును, నీవు వాటిని తీసికొందువు. ఇందునుగూర్చి నీవు నాకోరిక చొప్పున జరిగించి నా యింటివారి సంరక్షణకొరకు ఆహా రము ఇచ్చెదవు.

9. My servants, shall bring them down out of Lebanon unto the sea, and, I, will put them in rafts on the sea, unto the place of which thou shalt send me word, and will cause them to be discharged there, and, thou, shalt receive them, and, thou, shalt do my desire, by giving food for my household.

10. హీరాము సొలొమోనునకు ఇష్టమైనంత మట్టుకు దేవదారు మ్రానులను సరళపు మ్రానులను పంపించగా

10. So then Hiram began giving unto Solomon timber of cedar, and timber of fir, even all his desire,

11. సొలొమోను హీరామునకును అతని యింటి వారి సంరక్షణకును ఆహారముగా రెండులక్షల తూముల గోధుమలను మూడు వేల ఎనిమిదివందల పళ్ల స్వచ్ఛమైన నూనెను పంపించెను. ఈ ప్రకారము సొలొమోను ప్రతి సంవత్సరము హీరామునకు ఇచ్చుచువచ్చెను.

11. and, Solomon, gave unto Hiram, twenty thousand measures of wheat, as food for his household, and twenty measures of beaten oil, thus, used Solomon on to give unto Hiram, year by year.

12. యెహోవా సొలొమోనునకు చేసిన వాగ్దానము చొప్పున అతనికి జ్ఞానము దయచేసెను; మరియు హీరామును సొలొమోనును సంధిచేయగా వారిద్దరికి సమాధానము కలిగియుండెను.

12. And, Yahweh, gave wisdom unto Solomon, as he promised him, and it came to pass that there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and, they two, solemnised a covenant.

13. రాజైన సొలొమోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిచేతను వెట్టిపని చేయించెను; వారిలో ముప్పదివేలమంది వెట్టి పని చేయువారైరి,

13. And King Solomon raised a labour-band, out of all Israel, and it came to pass that, the labour-band, was thirty thousand men.

14. వీరిని అతడు వంతులచొప్పున నెలకు పది వేలమందిని లెబానోనునకు పంపించెను; ఒక నెల లెబా నోనులోను రెండు నెలలు ఇంటియొద్దను వారు ఉండిరి; ఆ వెట్టివారిమీద అదోనీరాము అధికారియై యుండెను.

14. And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month, by courses, a month, were they in Lebanon, two months, at home, and, Adoniram, was over the levy.

15. మరియు సొలొమోనునకు బరువులు మోయువారు డెబ్బది వేలమందియు పర్వతములందు మ్రానులు నరకువారు ఎను బది వేలమందియు నుండిరి.

15. And it came to pass that, Solomon, had seventy thousand bearers of burdens, and eighty thousand hewers in the mountain;

16. వీరు కాక పనిమీదనున్న సొలొ మోను శిల్పకారులకు అధికారులు మూడువేల మూడువందలమంది; వీరు పనివారిమీద అధికారులై యుండిరి.

16. besides the chiefs of Solomon's officers, who were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, who ruled over the people that wrought in the work.

17. రాజు సెలవియ్యగా వారు మందిరముయొక్క పునాదిని చెక్కిన రాళ్లతో వేయుటకు గొప్ప రాళ్లను మిక్కిలి వెలగల రాళ్లను తెప్పించిరి.

17. And the king commanded, and they quarried great stones, costly stones, to found the house with hewn stones.

18. ఈలాగున సొలొమోను పంపినవారును గిబ్లీయులును, హీరాము శిల్పకారు లును మ్రానులను నరికి రాళ్లను మలిచి మందిరము కట్టుటకు మ్రానులను రాళ్లను సిద్ధపరచిరి.

18. And Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders with the Gebalites wrought them, thus made they ready the timber and the stones, for building the house.
