1. మిగ్దోలులోగాని తహపనేసులోగాని నొపులోగాని పత్రోసులోగాని ఐగుప్తుదేశవాసము చేయుచున్న యూదులనందరినిగూర్చి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

1. The LORD told me to speak with the Jews who were living in the towns of Migdol, Tahpanhes, and Memphis in northern Egypt, and also to those living in southern Egypt. He told me to tell them:

2. నేను యెరూషలేము మీదికిని యూదా పట్టణములన్నిటి మీదికిని రప్పించిన కీడంతయు మీరు చూచుచునే యున్నారు.

2. I am the LORD All-Powerful, the God of Israel. You saw how I destroyed Jerusalem and the towns of Judah. They lie empty and in ruins today,

3. మీరైనను మీ పితరులైనను ఎరుగని అన్యదేవతలను అనుసరించుచు పూజించుచు వాటికి ధూపము వేయుచు వచ్చుటవలన వాటి నివాసులు తాము చేసికొనిన దోషముచేత నాకు కోపము పుట్టించిరి గనుక నేడు నివాసులులేకుండ అవి పాడుపడి యున్నవి గదా.

3. because the people of Judah made me angry by worshiping gods that had never helped them or their ancestors.

4. మరియు నేను పెందలకడ లేచి ప్రవక్తలైన నా సేవకులందరిని మీయొద్దకు పంపుచు, నాకసహ్యమైన యీ హేయకార్యమును మీరు చేయకుండుడి అని నేను చెప్పుచువచ్చితిని గాని

4. Time after time I sent my servants the prophets to tell the people of Judah how much I hated their disgusting sins. The prophets warned them to stop sinning,

5. వారు అలకింపక పోయిరి, అన్యదేవతలకు ధూపార్పణముచేయుట మానకపోయిరి, తమ దుర్మార్గతను విడువకపోయిరి చెవి యొగ్గకపోయిరి.

5. but they refused to listen and would not stop worshiping other gods.

6. కావున నా ఉగ్రతయు నా కోపమును కుమ్మరింపబడి, యూదా పట్టణములలోను యెరూషలేము వీధులలోను రగులుకొనెను, గనుక నేడున్నట్లుగా అవి పాడై యెడారి ఆయెను.

6. Finally, my anger struck like a raging flood, and today Jerusalem and the towns of Judah are nothing but empty ruins.

7. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు అజ్ఞ ఇచ్చుచున్నాడు ఏమియు శేషములేకుండ స్త్రీ పురుషులును శిశువులును చంటి బిడ్డలును యూదా మధ్య నుండ కుండ నిర్మూలము చేయబడునట్లుగా మీరేల ఈ గొప్ప తప్పిదమును మీకు విరోధముగా చేసికొనుచున్నారు?

7. Why do you now insist on heading for another disaster? A disaster that will destroy not only you, but also your children and babies.

8. మీకుమీరే సమూలనాశనము తెచ్చుకొనునట్లును, భూమి మీదనున్న జనములన్నిటిలో మీరు దూషణపాలై తిరస్కరింపబడునట్లును, మీరు కాపురముండుటకు పోయిన ఐగుప్తులో అన్యదేవతలకు ధూపార్పణము చేయుదురు. మీరేల యీలాగున చేయుచు మీ చేతిక్రియలచేత నాకు కోపము పుట్టించుచున్నారు?

8. You have made me angry by worshiping idols and burning incense to other gods after you came here to Egypt. You will die such a disgusting death, that other nations will use the name of Judah as a curse word.

9. వారు యూదాదేశములోను యెరూషలేము వీధుల లోను జరిగించిన క్రియలను అనగా మీ పితరులు చేసిన చెడుతనమును యూదా రాజులు చేసిన చెడుతనమును వారి భార్యలు చేసిన చెడుతనమును, మీమట్టుకు మీరు చేసిన చెడుతనమును మీ భార్యలు చేసిన చెడుతనమును మరచి పోతిరా?

9. When you were living in Jerusalem and Judah, you followed the example of your ancestors in doing evil things, just like your kings and queens.

10. నేటివరకు వారు దీనమనస్సు ధరింపకున్నారు, భయము నొందకున్నారు, నేను మీకును మీ పితరులకును నియమించిన ధర్మశాస్త్రము నైనను కట్టడలనైనను అనుసరింపకయే యున్నారు.

10. Even now, your pride keeps you from respecting me and obeying the laws and teachings I gave you and your ancestors.

11. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మీకు కీడు చేయునట్లు,

11. I, the LORD All-Powerful, have decided to wipe you out with disasters.

12. అనగా యూదావారినందరిని నిర్మూలము చేయునట్లు, నేను మీకు అభిముఖుడనగుదును; ఐగుప్తు దేశములో కాపురముందుమని అచ్చటికి వెళ్ల నిశ్చయించుకొను యూదాశేషులను నేను తోడుకొని పోవుదును, వారందరు ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనే నశించెదరు; అల్పులేమి ఘనులేమి వారందరు కూలుదురు, ఖడ్గముచేతనైనను క్షామముచేతనైనను నశింతురు, ఖడ్గముచేతనైనను క్షామము చేతనైనను వారు చత్తురు, శాపాస్పదమును భీతి పుట్టించు వారుగాను దూషణపాలుగాను తిరస్కారము నొందిన వారుగాను ఉందురు.

12. There were only a few of you left in Judah, and you decided to go to Egypt. But you will die such horrible deaths in war or from starvation, that people of other countries will use the name of Judah as a curse word.

13. యెరూషలేము నివాసులను నేనే లాగు శిక్షించితినో ఆలాగే ఐగుప్తుదేశములో నివసించు వీరిని ఖడ్గముచేతగాని క్షామముచేతగాని తెగులుచేతగాని శిక్షించెదను.

13. I punished Jerusalem with war, hunger, and disease, and that's how I will punish you.

14. కావున తాము మరలి వచ్చి యూదాదేశములో కాపురముండవలెనన్న మక్కువచేత ఐగుప్తులో ఆగుటకై అక్కడికి వెళ్లు యూదా వారిలోని శేషము ఎవరును తప్పించుకొనరు, శేషమేమియు ఉండదు, పారి పోవువారు గాక మరి ఎవరును తిరిగిరారు.

14. None of you will survive. You may hope to return to Judah someday, but only a very few of you will escape death and be able to go back.

15. అప్పుడు తమ భార్యలు అన్యదేవతలకు ధూపము వేయుదురని యెరిగియున్న పురుషులందరును, అక్కడ నిలిచియున్న స్త్రీలును,

15. A large number of Jews from both northern and southern Egypt listened to me as I told them what the LORD had said. Most of the men in the crowd knew that their wives often burned incense to other gods. So they and their wives shouted:

16. మహా సమాజముగా కూడిన వారును ఐగుప్తు దేశమందలి పత్రోసులో కాపురముండు జనులందరును యిర్మీయాకు ఈలాగు ప్రత్యుత్తర మిచ్చిరి యెహోవా నామమునుబట్టి నీవు మాకు ప్రకటించు ఈ మాటను మేమంగీకరింపము,

16. Jeremiah, what do we care if you speak in the LORD's name? We refuse to listen!

17. మేము నీతో చెప్పిన సంగతులన్నిటిని నిశ్చయముగా నెరవేర్చ బోవుచున్నాము; మేమును మా పితరులును మా రాజులును మా యధిపతులును యూదా పట్టణములలోను యెరూషలేము వీధుల లోను చేసినట్లే ఆకాశరాణికి ధూపము వేయుదుము, ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింతుము; ఏలయనగా మేము ఆలాగు చేసినప్పుడు మాకు ఆహారము సమృద్ధిగా దొరికెను, మేము క్షేమముగానే యుంటిమి, యే కీడును మాకు కలుగలేదు.

17. We have promised to worship the goddess Astarte, the Queen of Heaven, and that is exactly what we are going to do. We will burn incense and offer sacrifices of wine to her, just as we, our ancestors, our kings, and our leaders did when we lived in Jerusalem and the other towns of Judah. We had plenty of food back then. We were well off, and nothing bad ever happened to us.

18. మేము ఆకాశరాణికి ధూపము వేయకయు ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింపకయు మానినప్పటినుండి సమస్తము మాకు తక్కువైనది, మేము ఖడ్గముచేతను క్షామముచేతను క్షీణించుచున్నాము.

18. But since the time we stopped burning incense and offering wine sacrifices to her, we have been dying from war and hunger.

19. మేము ఆకాశ రాణికి ధూపము వేయగాను, ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింపగాను, మా పురుషుల సెలవులేకుండ ఆమెకు పిండి వంటలు చేయుచున్నామా? ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు పోయుచున్నామా? అని వారు చెప్పగా

19. Then the women said, 'When we lived in Judah, we worshiped the Queen of Heaven and offered sacrifices of wine and special loaves of bread shaped like her. Our husbands knew what we were doing, and they approved of it.'

20. యిర్మీయా ఆ స్త్రీ పురుషులందరితో, అనగా తనకు అట్లు ప్రత్యుత్తర మిచ్చిన ప్రజలందరితో ఇట్లనెను

20. Then I told the crowd:

21. యూదాపట్టణముల లోను యెరూషలేము వీధులలోను మీరును మీ పితరులును మీ రాజులును మీ యధిపతులును దేశప్రజలును ధూపము వేసిన సంగతి యెహోవా జ్ఞాపకముచేసికొనలేదా? అదే గదా ఆయన మనస్సునకు వచ్చెను.

21. Don't you think the LORD knew that you and your ancestors, your leaders and kings, and the rest of the people were burning incense to other gods in Jerusalem and everywhere else in Judah?

22. యెహోవా మీ దుష్టక్రియలను చూచి మీరు చేయు హేయకృత్యములను ఎంచి యికను సహింపలేకపోయెను గనుక నేడున్నట్లుగా మీ దేశము పాడుగాను ఎడారిగాను శాపాస్పదముగాను నిర్జనము గాను ఆయన చేసెను.

22. And when he could no longer put up with your disgusting sins, he placed a curse on your land and turned it into a desert, as it is today.

23. యెహోవా మాట వినక, ఆయన ధర్మశాస్త్రమునుబట్టియు కట్టడలనుబట్టియు ఆయన తనకు సాక్ష్యార్థముగా ఇచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞనుబట్టియు నడువక, మీరు ధూపమువేయుచు యెహోవాకు విరోధముగా పాపము చేసితిరి గనుకనే నేడున్నట్లుగా ఈ కీడు మీకు సంభవించెను.

23. This disaster happened because you worshiped other gods and rebelled against the LORD by refusing to obey him or follow his laws and teachings.

24. మరియు యిర్మీయా ప్రజలనందరిని స్త్రీలనందరిని చూచి వారితో ఇట్లనెను ఐగుప్తులోనున్న సమస్తమైన యూదులారా, యెహోవా మాట వినుడి.

24. Then I told the men and their wives, that the LORD All-Powerful, the God of Israel, had said: Here in Egypt you still keep your promises to burn incense and offer sacrifices of wine to the so-called Queen of Heaven.

25. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును, సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆకాశరాణికి ధూపము వేయుదు మనియు, ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింతుమనియు, మేము మ్రొక్కుకొనిన మ్రొక్కుబళ్లను నిశ్చయముగా నెరవేర్చుదుమనియు మీరును మీ భార్యలును మీ నోటితో పలికి మీ చేతులతో నెరవేర్చుచున్నారే; నిజముగానే మీ మ్రొక్కుబళ్లను మీరు మ్రొక్కుదురు, నిజముగానే మీ మ్రొక్కులను మీరు నెరవేర్తురు.

26. కాబట్టి ఐగుప్తులో నివసించు సమస్తమైన యూదులారా, యెహోవామాటవినుడియెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా ప్రభువగు యెహోవా అను నేను నా జీవముతోడు ప్రమాణము చేయుచు, ఐగుప్తులో నివసించు యూదు లలో ఎవరును ఇకమీదట నా నామము నోట పలకరని నా ఘనమైన నామముతోడు నేను ప్రమాణము చేయు చున్నాను.

26. Keep these promises! But let me tell you what will happen. As surely as I am the LORD God, I swear that I will never again accept any promises you make in my name.

27. మేలు చేయుటకు కాక కీడుచేయుటకే నేను వారిని కనిపెట్టుచున్నాను; వారు ఖడ్గముచేతనైనను క్షామముచేతనైనను క్షీణించిపోవుచు, ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనున్న యూదావారందరు శేషములేకుండ చత్తురు.

27. Instead of watching over you, I will watch for chances to harm you. Some of you will die in war, and others will starve to death.

28. ఖడ్గము తప్పించుకొనువారు కొద్దిమందియై ఐగుప్తుదేశములో నుండి యూదాదేశమునకు తిరిగి వచ్చెదరు, అప్పడు ఐగుప్తుదేశములో కాపురముండుటకు వెళ్లిన యూదా వారిలో శేషము ఎవరి మాట నిలకడగా నుండునో, నాదో తమదో అది తెలిసికొందురు.

28. Only a few will escape and return to Judah. Then everyone who went to live in Egypt will know that when I say something will happen, it will--no matter what you say.

29. మీకు కీడు సంభవించు నట్లుగా నా మాటలు నిశ్చయముగా నిలుచునని మీకు తెలియబడుటకును, నేను ఈ స్థలమందు మిమ్మును శిక్షించు చున్నందుకును ఇది మీకు సూచనగా నుండును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

29. And here is how you will know that I will keep my threats to punish you in Egypt.

30. అతనికి శత్రువై అతని ప్రాణమును తీయ జూచుచుండిన నెబుకద్రెజరను బబులోను రాజుచేతికి నేను యూదారాజైన సిద్కియాను అప్పగించినట్లు ఐగుప్తురాజైన ఫరోహొఫ్రను అతని శత్రువులై అతని ప్రాణమును తీయజూచువారి చేతికి అప్పగించెదను.

30. I will hand over King Hophra of Egypt to those who want to kill him, just as I handed Zedekiah over to Nebuchadnezzar, who wanted to kill him.
