1. యూదారాజైన సిద్కియా యేలుబడియందు తొమ్మిదవ సంవత్సరము పదియవ నెలలో బబులోను రాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు తన సమస్త సైన్యముతో యెరూషలేము మీదికి వచ్చిదాని ముట్టడివేయగా

1. In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his force against Jerusalem, and they besieged it.

2. సిద్కియా యేలు బడియందు పదకొండవ సంవత్సరము నాలుగవ నెల తొమ్మిదవ దినమున పట్టణ ప్రాకారములు పడగొట్టబడెను.

2. In the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month on the ninth of the month, was the city broken into.

3. యెరూషలేము పట్టబడగా అధిపతులందరు, నేర్గల్‌షరేజరు సవ్గుర్నెబో షండుల కధిపతియగు శర్సెకీము, జ్ఞానులకధిపతియగు నేర్గల్‌షరేజరు మొదలైన బబులోనురాజు అధిపతులందరు లోపలికి వచ్చి మధ్యగుమ్మములో కూర్చుండిరి.

3. Then came in all the princes of the king of Babylon, and sat in the middle gate, Nergal-sharezer, Samgar-nebo, Sarsechim, chief eunuch Nergal-sharezer, chief soothsayer, and all the residue of the princes of the king of Babylon.

4. యూదులరాజైన సిద్కియాయు అతని యోధులందరును వారినిచూచి పారిపోయి, రాజు తోటమార్గమున రెండు గోడల మధ్యనున్న గుమ్మపుమార్గమున పోయిరి గాని రాజు మైదానపు మార్గమున వెళ్లిపోయెను.

4. And it came to pass as soon as Zedekiah king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, that they fled, and went forth by night out of the city, by way of the king's garden, through the gate between the two walls, and he went forth by way of the waste plain.

5. అయితే కల్దీయుల సేన వారిని తరిమి యెరికో దగ్గరనున్న మైదానములలో సిద్కియాను కలిసికొని పట్టుకొని, రాజు అతనికి శిక్ష విధింపవలెనని హమాతు దేశములో రిబ్లా పట్టణము దగ్గర నున్న బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు నొద్దకు వారు సిద్కియాను తీసికొనిపోయిరి

5. But the force of the Chaldeans pursued them, and overtook Zedekiah in the waste plains of Jericho, and when they had taken him, they brought him up unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, to Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and pronounced upon him sentences of judgment.

6. బబులోనురాజు రిబ్లా పట్టణములో సిద్కియా కుమారులను అతని కన్నులయెదుట చంపించెను, మరియు బబులోనురాజు యూదా ప్రధానులందరిని చంపించెను.

6. And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah, in Riblah before his eyes, and all the nobles of Judah, did the king of Babylon slay;

7. అంతట అతడు సిద్కియా కన్నులు ఊడదీయించి అతని బబులోనునకు తీసికొనిపోవుటకై సంకెళ్లతో బంధించెను.

7. and the eyes of Zedekiah, did he put out, and bound him with fetters of bronze to bring him into Babylon.

8. కల్దీయులు రాజనగరును ప్రజల యిండ్లను అగ్నిచేత కాల్చివేసి యెరూషలేము ప్రాకారములను పడగొట్టిరి.

8. And the house of the king, and the houses of the people, did the Chaldeans burn with fire, and the walls of Jerusalem, brake they down;

9. అప్పుడు రాజదేహ సంరక్షకుల కధిపతియగు నెబూజరదాను శేషించి పట్టణములో నిలిచి యున్న ప్రజలను, ద్రోహులై తమ రాజును విడిచి తనతో చేరినవారిని, శేషించిన ప్రజలనందరిని బబులోనునకు కొనిపోయెను.

9. and the remnant of the people who were left in the city, and the disheartened who fell away unto him, and the remnant of the people who were left, did Nebuzaradan chief of the royal executioners, take captive to Babylon.

10. అయితే రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల కధిపతి యైన నెబూజరదాను లేమిగల దరిద్రులను యూదాదేశములో నుండనిచ్చి, వారికి ద్రాక్షతోటలను పొలములను నియమించెను.

10. But of the poor people, who had, nothing, did Nebuzaradan chief of the royal executioners, leave remaining in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and ploughed fields on the same day.

11. మరియు యిర్మీయాను గూర్చి బబులోను రాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు రాజదేహ సంరక్షకులకు అధిపతియగు నెబూజరదానునకు

11. Then Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave command, concerning Jeremiah, through Nebuzaradan chief of the royal executioners saying:

12. ఈ ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను నీవు ఇతనికి హాని చేయక దగ్గరనుంచుకొని పరామర్శించి, ఇతడు నీతో చెప్పునట్లు చేయవలెను.

12. Take him and, thine eyes, set thou upon him, and do not unto him any harmful thing, but just as he shall speak unto thee, so, shalt thou do with him.

13. కావున రాజదేహసంరక్షకులకు అధిపతియైన నెబూజరదానును షండులకు అధిపతియగు నెబూషజ్బానును జ్ఞానులకు అధిపతియగు నేర్గల్‌షరేజరును బబులోనురాజు ప్రధానులందరును దూతలను పంపి

13. So Nebuzaradan chief of the royal executioners, sent, also Nebushazban, chief of the eunuchs, and Nergal-sharezer chief of the magi, and all the chiefs of the king of Babylon;

14. బందీగృహశాలలోనుండి యిర్మీయాను తెప్పించి, అతనిని యింటికి తోడుకొనిపోవుటకు షాఫాను కుమారు డైన అహీకాము కుమారుడగు గెదల్యాకు అతని నప్పగించిరి, అప్పుడతడు ప్రజలమధ్య నివాసముచేసెను.

14. yea they sent and fetched Jeremiah out of the guard-court, and delivered him unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam son of Shaphan, to bring him forth into a home, so he dwelt in the midst of the people.

15. యిర్మీయా బందీగృహశాలలో నుండగా యెహోవా మాట అతనికి ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

15. Now unto Jeremiah, had come the word of Yahweh, while he was yet shut up in the guard-court, saying:

16. నీవు వెళ్లి కూషీయుడగు ఎబెద్మెలెకుతో ఇట్లనుము ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మేలు చేయుటకైకాక కీడుచేయుటకై నేను ఈ పట్టణమునుగూర్చి చెప్పిన మాటలు నెర వేర్చుచున్నాను; నీవు చూచుచుండగా ఆ మాటలు ఆ దిన మున నెరవేరును.

16. Go and speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith Yahweh of hosts God of Israel, Behold me! bringing about my words against this city, for, calamity and not for blessing, and they shall come to pass before thee, in that day.

17. ఆ దినమున నేను నిన్ను విడిపించెదను, నీవు భయపడు మనుష్యులచేతికి నీవు అప్పగింపబడవని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

17. But I will deliver thee in that day, Declareth Yahweh, and thou shalt not be given up into the hand of the men from the face of whom, thou, mightest shrink with fear.

18. నీవు నన్ను నమ్ము కొంటివి గనుక నిశ్చయముగా నేను నిన్ను తప్పించెదను, నీవు ఖడ్గముచేత పడవు, దోపుడుసొమ్ము దక్కించుకొను నట్లు నీ ప్రాణమును నీవు దక్కించుకొందువు; ఇదేయెహోవా వాక్కు.

18. For I wilt, surely, deliver, thee, and by the sword, shalt thou not fall, but thou shalt have thine own life as a spoil, Because thou hast trusted in me, Declareth Yahweh.
