1. అరణ్యపు తట్టుననున్న సెలనుండి దేశము నేలువానికి తగిన గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలను కప్పముగా సీయోను కుమార్తె పర్వతమునకు పంపుడి

1. Then sent the lords of the land a man of war, from the rock that lieth toward the desert, unto the hill of the daughter Sion.

2. గూటినుండి చెదరి ఇటు అటు ఎగురు పక్షులవలె అర్నోను రేవులయొద్ద మోయాబు కుమార్తెలు కన బడుదురు.

2. (For as for the daughters of Moab, they were as it had been a trembling bird, that is put out of her nest, by the fury of Arnon.) which messenger said:

3. ఆలోచన చెప్పుము విమర్శచేయుము. చీకటి కమ్మినట్లు మధ్యాహ్నమున నీ నీడ మా మీద ఉండనియ్యుము. చెదరినవారిని దాచిపెట్టుము పారిపోయినవారిని పట్టియ్యకుము

3. gather your counsel, come together, cover us with your shadow in the midday, as the night doth: hide the chased, and bewray not them that are fled,

4. నేను వెలివేసినవారిని నీతో నివసింపనిమ్ము దోచుకొనువారు వారిమీదికి రాకుండునట్లు మోయా బీయులకు ఆశ్రయముగా ఉండుము బలాత్కారులు ఓడిపోయిరి సంహారము మాని పోయెను. అణగద్రొక్కువారు దేశములో లేకుండ నశించిరి.

4. let the persecuted Moabites dwell among you, be our open refuge against the destroyer: for the adversary oppresseth us, the robber undoeth us, and the tyrant driveth us out of our land.

5. కృపవలన సింహాసనము స్థాపింపబడును సత్యసంపన్నుడై దానిమీద కూర్చుండి తీర్పుతీర్చు నొకడు కలడు దావీదు గుడారములో అతడాసీనుడై న్యాయము విచారించుచు న్యాయము జరిగించుటకై తీవరించును.

5. But the throne of your kingdom is full of grace, therefore he that sitteth upon it with faithfulness and truth in the house of David, know the thing, and do his diligence to help shortly, according to equity and righteousness.

6. మోయాబీయులు బహు గర్వముగలవారని మేము విని యున్నాము వారి గర్వమును గూర్చియు వారి అహంకార గర్వక్రోధములను గూర్చియు విని యున్నాము. వారు వదరుట వ్యర్థము.

6. As for Moab's pride (shall they answer) it is well known. And all thought they be excellent proud, arrogant and high minded: yet is their strength nothing like.

7. కావున మోయాబీయులు మోయాబునుగూర్చి అంగ లార్చుదురు అందరును అంగలార్చుదురు మోయాబీయులారా కేవలము పాడైయున్న కీర్హరెశెతు ద్రాక్షపండ్ల అడలు దొరకక మీరు మూలుగుదురు.

7. And therefore Moab complaineth unto Moab, where thorow they come all to mourn: and now that they be smitten, they take their device beneath by the brick wall, and make their complaint.

8. ఏలయనగా హెష్బోను పొలములు సిబ్మా ద్రాక్షా వల్లులు వాడిపోయెను దాని శ్రేష్ఠమైన ద్రాక్షావల్లులను జనముల అధికారులు అణగద్రొక్కిరి. అవి యాజరువరకు వ్యాపించెను అరణ్యములోనికిప్రాకెను దాని తీగెలు విశాలముగా వ్యాపించి సముద్రమును దాటెను.

8. The suburbs also of Hesebon were made waste, and the princes of the Gentiles hewed down the vineyards of Sibma, which were planted with noble grapes, and spread unto Jazer, and went unto the end of the desert, whose branches stretched their fellows forth beyond the sea.

9. అందువలన యాజరు ఏడ్చినట్టు నేను సిబ్మా ద్రాక్షా వల్లుల నిమిత్తము ఏడ్చెదను హెష్బోనూ, ఏలాలే, నా కన్నీళ్లచేత నిన్ను తడిపె దను ఏలయనగా ద్రాక్షతొట్టి త్రొక్కి సంతోషించునట్లు నీ శత్రువులు నీ వేసవికాల ఫలములమీదను నీ కోత మీదను పడి కేకలు వేయుదురు.

9. Therefore I mourned for Jazer, and for the vineyards of Sibma with great sorrow. I poured my tears upon Hesebon and Eleale, for all their songs were laid down, in their harvest and gathering of their grapes:

10. ఆనందసంతోషములు ఫలభరితమైన పొలమునుండి మానిపోయెను ద్రాక్షలతోటలో సంగీతము వినబడదు ఉత్సాహ ధ్వని వినబడదు గానుగులలో ద్రాక్షగెలలను త్రొక్కువాడెవడును లేడు ద్రాక్షలతొట్టి త్రొక్కువాని సంతోషపుకేకలు నేను మాన్పించియున్నాను.

10. Mirth and cheer was gone out of the field and vineyards, in so much, that no man was glad nor sung. There went no treader into the winepress, their merry cheer was laid down.

11. మోయాబు నిమిత్తము నా గుండె కొట్టుకొనుచున్నది కీర్హరెశు నిమిత్తము నా ఆంత్రములు సితారావలె వాగుచున్నవి.

11. Wherefore my belly rumbled (as it had been a lute) for Moab's sake, and mine inward members, for the brick wall's sake.

12. మోయాబీయులు ఉన్నత స్థలమునకు వచ్చి ఆయాస పడి ప్రార్థన చేయుటకు తమ గుడిలో ప్రవేశించునప్పుడు వారికేమియు దొరకకపోవును.

12. For it happened thus also: when Moab saw that she was turned upside down: she went up an high(hye) in to her Sanctuary, to make her prayer there, but she might not be helped.

13. పూర్వకాలమున యెహోవా మోయాబునుగూర్చి సెలవిచ్చిన వాక్యము ఇదే; అయితే యెహోవా ఇప్పుడీలాగున ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చుచున్నాడు

13. This is the device, which the LORD took in hand at the time against Moab.

14. కూలివాని లెక్కప్రకారము మూడేండ్లలోగా మోయాబీయులయొక్క ప్రభావమును వారిగొప్ప వారి సమూహమును అవమానపరచబడును శేషము బహు కొద్దిగా మిగులును అది అతి స్వల్పముగా నుండును.

14. But now the LORD sayeth thus: In three years shall the power of Moab with their pomp(pope) (which is great) be minished, like as the burthen of a hired servant. And as for the remnant of them, they shall be less than a few, and not reckoned much worth.
