1. దావీదు కుమారుడైన సొలొమోను తన రాజ్యమందు స్థిరపరచబడగా అతని దేవుడైన యెహోవా అతనితో కూడ ఉండి అతనిని బహు ఘనుడైన రాజునుగా చేసెను.

1. Solomon, the son of David, became a very strong king, because the Lord his God was with him and made him very great.

2. యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే అరణ్యమందు చేయించిన దేవుని సమాజపు గుడారము గిబియోనునందుండెను గనుక

2. The people of Israel and the captains, generals, judges, leaders, and heads of the families were all gathered together. Solomon spoke to them, and then they all went to the high place at Gibeon. They went there because God's Meeting Tent was there. The Lord's servant Moses made this tent when he and the Israelites were in the desert.

3. సొలొమోను సహస్రాధిపతులకును శతాధిపతులకును న్యాయాధిపతులకును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పితరుల యిండ్లకు పెద్దలైనవారి కందరికిని, అనగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకందరికిని ఆజ్ఞ ఇయ్యగా సమాజకులందరును

4. సొలొమోనుతో కూడ కలసి గిబియోనునందుండు బలిపీఠము నొద్దకు పోయిరి; దావీదు దేవుని మందసమును కిర్యత్యారీమునుండి తెప్పించి యెరూషలేమునందు దానికొరకు గుడారమువేసి తాను సిద్ధపరచిన స్థలమున నుంచెను.

4. David had carried God's Box of the Agreement from Kiriath Jearim to Jerusalem where he had set up another tent for it.

5. హూరు కుమారుడైన ఊరికి పుట్టిన బెసలేలు చేసిన యిత్తడి బలిపీఠము అక్కడ యెహోవా నివాసస్థలము ఎదుట ఉండగా సొలొమోనును సమాజపువారును దానియొద్ద విచారణ చేసిరి.

5. But the bronze altar that Bezalel son of Uri had made was in front of the Holy Tent at Gibeon. So Solomon and the people went there to ask the Lord for advice.

6. సమాజపు గుడారము ముందర యెహోవా సన్నిధినుండి ఇత్తడి బలిపీఠము నొద్దకు సొలొమోను పోయి దానిమీద వెయ్యి దహనబలులను అర్పించెను.

6. Solomon went up to the bronze altar and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it.

7. ఆ రాత్రియందు దేవుడు సొలొమోనునకు ప్రత్యక్షమైనేను నీకు ఏమి ఇయ్యగోరుదువో దాని అడుగుమని సెలవియ్యగా

7. That night God came to Solomon and said, 'Ask me for whatever you want me to give you.'

8. సొలొమోను దేవునితో ఈలాగు మనవిచేసెనునీవు నా తండ్రియైన దావీదుయెడల బహుగా కృప చూపి అతని స్థానమందు నన్ను రాజుగా నియమించి యున్నావు గనుక

8. Solomon said to God, 'You were very kind to my father David when you allowed me to rule on his throne after him.

9. దేవా యెహోవా, నీవు నా తండ్రియైన దావీదునకు చేసిన వాగ్దానమును స్థిరపరచుము; నేల ధూళియంత విస్తారమైన జనులమీద నీవు నన్ను రాజుగా నియమించియున్నావు

9. Now, Lord God, continue to keep your promise to my father David. You made me king over so many people that they are like the dust of the earth.

10. ఈ నీ గొప్ప జనమునకు న్యాయము తీర్చ శక్తిగలవాడెవడు? నేను ఈ జనులమధ్యను ఉండి కార్యములను చక్కపెట్టునట్లు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివిని నాకు దయచేయుము.

10. Now give me wisdom and knowledge so that I can lead these people in the right way. No one could rule this great nation without your help.'

11. అందుకు దేవుడు సొలొమోనుతో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునీవు ఈ ప్రకారము యోచించు కొని, ఐశ్వర్యమునైనను సొమ్మునైనను ఘనతనైనను నీ శత్రువుల ప్రాణమునైనను దీర్ఘాయువునైనను అడుగక, నేను నిన్ను వారిమీద రాజుగా నియమించిన నా జనులకు న్యాయము తీర్చుటకు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివిని అడిగి యున్నావు.

11. God said to Solomon, 'You have the right attitude. You did not ask for long life and riches for yourself. You did not ask for the death of your enemies. You asked for the wisdom and knowledge so that you can make the right decisions.

12. కాబట్టి జ్ఞానమును తెలివియు నీ కియ్య బడును, నీకన్న ముందుగానున్న రాజులకైనను నీ తరువాత వచ్చు రాజులకైనను కలుగని ఐశ్వర్యమును సొమ్మును ఘనతను నీకిచ్చెదను అని చెప్పెను.

12. So I will give you wisdom and knowledge, but I will also give you wealth, riches, and honor. No king who lived before you has ever had so much wealth and honor, and no king in the future will have as much wealth and honor.'

13. పిమ్మట సొలొమోను గిబియోనులోనుండు సమాజపు గుడారము ఎదుటనున్న బలిపీఠమును విడచి యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చి ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులను ఏలుచుండెను.

13. Solomon left the Meeting Tent that was at the high place in Gibeon and went back to Jerusalem to rule as the king of Israel.

14. సొలొమోను రథములను గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులను సమ కూర్చెను, వెయ్యిన్ని నాలుగువందలు రథములును పండ్రెండు వేల గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులును అతనికి ఉండెను; వీరిలో కొందరిని అతడు రథములుండు పట్టణములలో ఉంచెను, కొందరిని తన రాజసన్నిధిని ఉండుటకు యెరూషలేములో ఉంచెను.

14. Solomon started gathering horses and chariots for his army. He had 1400 chariots and 12,000 horse soldiers. He kept them in the chariot cities and in Jerusalem where he lived.

15. రాజు యెరూషలేమునందు వెండి బంగారములను రాళ్లంత విస్తారముగాను, సరళ మ్రానులను షెఫేల ప్రదేశముననున్న మేడిచెట్లంత విస్తారముగాను సమకూర్చెను.

15. In Jerusalem Solomon gathered so much gold and silver that it was as common as rocks. He gathered so much cedar wood that it was as common as sycamore trees in the western hill country.

16. సొలొమోనునకుండు గుఱ్ఱములు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి తేబడెను, రాజు వర్తకులు ఒక్కొక్క గుంపునకు నియామకమైన ధర నిచ్చి గుంపులు గుంపులుగా కొని తెప్పించిరి.

16. Solomon imported horses from Egypt and Kue. His merchants bought the horses in Kue for a set price.

17. వారు ఐగుప్తునుండి కొని తెచ్చిన రథమొకటింటికి ఆరువందల తులముల వెండియు గుఱ్ఱమొకటింటికి నూటఏబది తులముల వెండియు నిచ్చిరి; హిత్తీయుల రాజులందరికొరకును సిరియా రాజులకొరకును వారు ఆ ధరకే వాటిని తీసికొనిరి.

17. They also bought chariots from Egypt for 600 shekels of silver each and horses for 150 shekels of silver each. They then sold the horses and chariots to the kings of the Hittites and Arameans.
