1. దావీదు అక్కడనుండి బయలుదేరి అదుల్లాము గుహలోనికి తప్పించుకొనిపోగా అతని సహోదరులును అతని తండ్రి ఇంటివారందరును ఆ సంగతి విని అతని యొద్దకు వచ్చిరి.

1. Dauid therfore departed thence, & escaped to the caue Adullam: Whe his brethren also & his fathers house heard it, they went downe thyther to him.

2. మరియు ఇబ్బందిగలవారందరును, అప్పులు చేసికొనిన వారందరును, అసమాధానముగా నుండు వారందరును, అతనియొద్ద కూడుకొనగా అతడు వారికి అధిపతియాయెను. అతనియొద్దకు ఎక్కువ తక్కువ నాలుగువందలమంది వచ్చియుండిరి.

2. And there gathered vnto him all men that were in combraunce, and in det, and troubled in their mindes, & he became a captayne ouer them: And there were with him vpon a foure hundred men.

3. తరువాత దావీదు అక్కడనుండి బయలుదేరి మోయాబులోని మిస్పేకు వచ్చి దేవుడు నాకు ఏమి చేయునది నేను తెలిసికొనువరకు నా తలిదండ్రులు వచ్చి నీయొద్ద నుండనిమ్మని మోయాబు రాజుతో మనవిచేసి

3. And Dauid went thence to Mispah in the land of Moab, and sayde vnto the king of Moab: Let my father and my mother (I pray thee) come foorth vnto you, till I knowe what God wyl do for me.

4. అతనియొద్దకు వారిని తోడుకొని పోగా దావీదు కొండలలో దాగియున్న దినములు వారు అతనియొద్ద కాపురముండిరి.

4. And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the whyle that Dauid kept him selfe in the holde.

5. మరియు ప్రవక్తయగు గాదు వచ్చికొండలలో ఉండక యూదాదేశమునకు పారి పొమ్మని దావీదుతో చెప్పినందున దావీదు పోయి హారెతు అడవిలో చొచ్చెను.

5. And the prophete Gad sayde vnto Dauid: Abyde not in the hold, but depart & go into the land of Iuda. Then Dauid departed, & came into the forest Hareth.

6. దావీదును అతని జనులును ఫలానిచోట ఉన్నారని సౌలునకు వర్తమానమాయెను. అప్పుడు సౌలు గిబియా దగ్గర రామాలో ఒక పిచులవృక్షముక్రింద దిగి యీటె చేతపట్టుకొని యుండెను. అతని సేవకులు అతనిచుట్టు నిలిచియుండగా

6. And Saul hearde that Dauid was discouered, and also the men that were with him: and Saul sat in Gibea vnder a tree in Rama, hauing his speare in his hande, and all his men stoode about him.

7. సౌలు తనచుట్టు నిలిచియున్న సేవకులతో ఇట్లనెనుబెన్యామీనీయులారా ఆలకించుడి. యెష్షయి కుమారుడు మీకు పొలమును ద్రాక్షతోటలను ఇచ్చునా? మిమ్మును సహస్రాధిపతులుగాను శతాధిపతులు గాను చేయునా?

7. And Saul sayde vnto his seruauntes that stoode about him, Heare I pray you, ye sonnes of Iemini: will ye sonne of Isai geue euery one of you fieldes and vineyardes, and make you all captaines ouer thousandes and ouer hundredes,

8. మీరెందుకు నామీద కుట్రచేయు చున్నారు? నా కుమారుడు యెష్షయి కుమారునితో నిబంధనచేసిన సంగతి మీలో ఎవడును నాకు తెలియ జేయలేదే. నేడు జరుగునట్లు నా కొరకు పొంచి యుండునట్లుగా నా కుమారుడు నా సేవకుని పురికొలిపినను నా నిమిత్తము మీలో ఎవనికిని చింతలేదే.

8. That ye haue also conspired agaynst me, & there is none that telleth me that my sonne hath made a couenaunt with the sonne of Isai, and there is none of you yt is sory for me, or sheweth me that my sonne hath stirred vp my seruaunt to lye in wayte agaynst me [as appeareth] this day?

9. అప్పుడు ఎదోమీయుడగు దోయేగు సౌలు సేవకుల దగ్గర నిలిచి యుండియెష్షయి కుమారుడు పారిపోయి నోబులోని అహీటూబు కుమారుడైన అహీమెలెకు దగ్గరకురాగా నేను చూచితిని.

9. Then aunswered Doeg the Edomite (which was appoynted by ye seruauntes of Saul) and sayd: I sawe the sonne of Isai, when he came to Nob to Ahimelech the sonne of Ahitob,

10. అహీమెలెకు అతని పక్షముగా యెహోవాయొద్ద విచారణచేసి, ఆహారమును ఫిలిష్తీయుడైన గొల్యాతు ఖడ్గమును అతని కిచ్చెనని చెప్పగా

10. Whiche asked councel of the Lorde for him, and gaue him vittayles, and the sword of Goliath the Philistine also.

11. రాజు యాజకుడును అహీ టూబు కుమారుడునగు అహీ మెలెకును నోబులోనున్న అతని తండ్రి యింటివారైన యాజకులనందరిని పిలు వనంపించెను. వారు రాజునొద్దకు రాగా

11. Then the king sent and called for Ahimelech the priest the sonne of Ahitob, & all his fathers house [that is to saye] the priestes that were in Nob: And they came all to the king.

12. సౌలు అహీటూబు కుమారుడా, ఆలకించు మనగా అతడు చిత్తము నా యేలినవాడా అనెను.

12. And Saul sayde: Heare nowe thou sonne of Ahitob. He aunswered: Here I am, my lorde.

13. సౌలునీవు యెష్షయి కుమారునికి ఆహారమును ఖడ్గమును ఇచ్చి అతని పక్షమున దేవునియొద్ద విచారణచేసి, అతడు నామీదికి లేచి నేడు జరుగుచున్నట్టు పొంచి యుండుటకై అతడును నీవును జతకూడితిరేమని యడుగగా

13. And Saul sayde vnto him: Why haue ye conspired agaynst me, thou, and the sonne of Isai, in that thou hast geuen him vittayle, and a sworde, and hast asked councel of God for him, yt he shoulde aryse against me, and lye in waite for me [as appeareth] this day?

14. అహీమెలెకురాజా, రాజునకు అల్లుడై నమ్మకస్థుడై, ఆలోచనకర్తయై నీ నగరిలో ఘనతవహించిన దావీదువంటి వాడు నీ సేవకులందరిలో ఎవడున్నాడు?

14. Ahimelech aunswered the king, and sayde: Who is so faithfull among all thy seruauntes, as Dauid, and therto the kinges sonne in lawe: and goeth at thy bidding, and is had in honour in thyne house?

15. అతని పక్షముగా నేను దేవునియొద్ద విచారణచేయుట నేడే ఆరం భించితినా? అది నాకు దూరమగునుగాక; రాజు తమ దాసుడనైన నామీదను నా తండ్రి ఇంటి వారందరిమీదను ఈ నేరము మోపకుండును గాక. ఈ సంగతినిగూర్చి కొద్ది గొప్ప యేమియు నీ దాసుడనైన నాకు తెలిసినది కాదు అని రాజుతో మనవిచేయగా

15. Haue I this day begun first to aske councell of God for him? That be farre from me: Let not the king impute any thing vnto his seruaut, nor to all ye house of my father: For thy seruaunt knewe nothing of all this, either lesse or more.

16. రాజు అహీమెలెకూ, నీకును నీ తండ్రి ఇంటివారికందరికిని మరణము నిశ్చయము అని చెప్పి

16. The king sayde, Thou shalt surely die Ahimelech, thou, & al thy fathers house.

17. యెహోవా యాజకులగు వీరు దావీదుతో కలిసినందునను, అతడు పారిపోయిన సంగతి తెలిసియు నాకు తెలియజేయక పోయినందునను మీరు వారిమీద పడి చంపుడని తనచుట్టు నిలిచియున్న కావలి వారికి ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను. రాజు సేవకులు యెహోవా యాజకులను హతము చేయనొల్లక యుండగా

17. And the king sayde vnto the footemen that stoode about him: Turne, and slay the priestes of the Lorde: both because their hand is with Dauid, and because they knewe when Dauid fled, and shewed it not to me. But the seruauntes of the king would not moue their hades to fal vpon the priestes of the Lorde.

18. రాజు దోయేగుతోనీవు ఈ యాజకులమీద పడుమని చెప్పెను. అప్పుడు ఎదోమీయుడైన దోయేగు యాజకులమీద పడిఏఫోదు ధరించుకొనిన యెనుబది యయిదుగురిని ఆదినమున హతముచేసెను.

18. And the king sayde to Doeg: Turne thou, & fall vpon the priestes. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and ranne vpon the priestes, & slue that same day fourescore and fiue persons that did weare a linnen Ephod.

19. మరియు అతడు యాజకుల పట్టణ మైన నోబు కాపురస్థులను కత్తివాత హతము చేసెను; మగ వారినేమి ఆడువారినేమి బాలురనేమి పసిపిల్లలనేమి యెడ్లనేమి గార్దభములనేమి గొఱ్ఱెలనేమి అన్ని టిని కత్తివాత హతముచేసెను.

19. And Nob the citie of ye priestes, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklinges, oxen and asses, & sheepe, with the edge of the sworde.

20. అయితే అహీటూబు కుమారుడైన అహీమెలెకు కుమారులలో అబ్యాతారు అను నొకడు తప్పించుకొని పారిపోయి దావీదునొద్దకు వచ్చి

20. And one of the sonnes of Ahimelech the sonne of Ahitob, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled to Dauid.

21. సౌలు యెహోవా యాజకులను చంపించిన సంగతి దావీదునకు తెలియజేయగా

21. And Abiathar shewed Dauid howe that Daul had slayne ye Lordes priestes.

22. దావీదుఆ దినమున ఎదోమీయుడైన దోయేగు అక్కడనున్నందున వాడు సౌలునకు నిశ్చయ ముగా సంగతి తెలుపునని నేననుకొంటిని; నీ తండ్రి యింటివారికందరికిని మరణము రప్పించుటకు నేను కారకుడ నైతిని గదా.

22. And Dauid sayde vnto Abiathar: I wist it the same day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would tel Saul: and I am cause of the death of all the persons of thy fathers house.

23. నీవు భయపడక నాయొద్ద ఉండుము, నా యొద్ద నీవు భద్రముగా ఉందువు; నా ప్రాణము తీయచూచు వాడును నీ ప్రాణము తీయచూచువాడును ఒకడే అని అబ్యాతారుతో చెప్పెను.

23. Abyde thou with me, and feare not: For he that seketh my lyfe, he shall seke thine also, with me thou shalt be in safegarde.
