14. And the fruits which your soul desired are gone from you, and all things that were dainty and sumptuous have perished from you, and they will find them no more at all.

16. అయ్యో, అయ్యో, సన్నపు నారబట్టలను ధూమ్రరక్త వర్ణపు వస్త్రములను ధరించుకొని, బంగారముతోను రత్నములతోను ముత్యములతోను అలంకరింపబడిన మహాపట్టణమా, యింత ఐశ్వర్యము ఒక్క గడియలోనే పాడైపోయెనే అని చెప్పుకొనుచు, దాని బాధను చూచి భయాక్రాంతులై దూరముగా నిలుచుందురు.

21. And a strong angel took up a stone as it were a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with a mighty fall will Babylon, the great city, be cast down, and will be found no more at all.
