1. ప్రతి ప్రధానయాజకుడును మనుష్యులలోనుండి యేర్పరచబడినవాడై, పాపములకొరకు అర్పణలను బలులను అర్పించుటకు దేవుని విషయమైన కార్యములు జరిగించుటకై మనుష్యులనిమిత్తము నియమింపబడును.

1. For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to YHWH, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

2. తానుకూడ బలహీనతచేత ఆవరింపబడియున్నందున అతడు ఏమియు తెలియనివారియెడలను త్రోవతప్పిన వారియెడలను తాలిమి చూపగలవాడై యున్నాడు.

2. Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.

3. ఆ హేతువుచేత ప్రజల కొరకేలాగో ఆలాగే తనకొరకును పాపములనిమిత్తము అర్పణము చేయవలసినవాడై యున్నాడు.

3. And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

4. మరియు ఎవడును ఈ ఘనత తనకుతానే వహించుకొనడు గాని, అహరోను పిలువబడినట్టుగా దేవునిచేత పిలువబడినవాడై యీ ఘనతపొందును.

4. And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of YHWH, as was Aaron.

5. అటువలె క్రీస్తుకూడ ప్రధాన యాజకుడగుటకు తన్నుతానే మహిమపరచుకొనలేదు గాని నీవు నా కుమారుడవు, నేను నేడు నిన్ను కనియున్నాను. అని ఆయనతో చెప్పినవాడే అయనను మహిమపరచెను.

5. So also the Messiah glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

7. శరీరధారియై యున్న దినములలో మహా రోదనముతోను కన్నీళ్లతోను, తన్ను మరణమునుండి రక్షింపగలవానికి ప్రార్థనలను యాచనలను సమర్పించి, భయభక్తులు కలిగి యున్నందున ఆయన అంగీకరింపబడెను.

7. Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

8. ఆయన, కుమారుడైయుండియు తాను పొందిన శ్రమలవలన విధేయతను నేర్చుకొనెను.

8. Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

11. ఇందునుగూర్చి మేము చెప్పవలసినవి అనేక సంగతులున్నవి గాని, మీరు వినుటకు మందులైనందున వాటిని విశదపరచుట కష్టము.

11. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

12. కాలమునుబట్టి చూచితే మీరు బోధకులుగా ఉండవలసినవారై యుండగా, దేవోక్తులలో మొదటి మూలపాఠములను ఒకడు మీకు మరల బోధింపవలసి వచ్చెను. మీరు పాలుత్రాగవలసినవారే గాని బలమైన ఆహారము తినగలవారుకారు.

12. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of YHWH; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13. మరియు పాలు త్రాగు ప్రతివాడును శిశువేగనుక నీతి వాక్యవిషయములో అనుభవములేనివాడై యున్నాడు.

13. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14. వయస్సు వచ్చిన వారు అభ్యాసముచేత మేలు కీడులను వివేచించుటకు సాధకముచేయబడిన జ్ఞానేంద్రియములు కలిగియున్నారు గనుక బలమైన అహారము వారికే తగును.

14. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
