1. మరియు యెహోవా నాతో చెప్పినట్లు మనము తిరిగి ఎఱ్ఱసముద్ర మార్గమున అరణ్యమునకు ప్రయాణమై పోయి బహు దినములు శేయీరు మన్నెము చుట్టు తిరిగి తివిు.

1. Then we went back, journeying into the waste land by the way to the Red Sea, as the Lord had said to me: and we were a long time going round Mount Seir.

2. అంతట యెహోవా నాకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను మీరు ఈ మన్నెముచుట్టు తిరిగినకాలము చాలును;

2. And the Lord said to me,

3. ఉత్తరదిక్కుకు తిరుగుడి. మరియు నీవు ప్రజలతో ఇట్లనుము

3. You have been journeying round this mountain long enough: now go to the north;

4. శేయీరులో కాపురమున్న ఏశావు సంతాన మైన మీ సహోదరుల పొలిమేరను దాటి వెళ్లబోవు చున్నారు, వారు మీకు భయపడుదురు; మీరు మిక్కిలి జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండుడి.

4. And give the people orders, saying, You are about to go through the land of your brothers, the children of Esau, who are living in Seir; and they will have fear of you; so take care what you do:

5. వారితో కలహపడవద్దు; ఏలయనగా ఏశావుకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా శేయీరు మన్నెము నేనిచ్చి యున్నాను గనుక వారి భూమిలోనిది ఒక అడుగైనను మీకియ్యను.

5. Make no attack on them, for I will not give you any of their land, not even space enough for a man's foot: because I have given Mount Seir to Esau for his heritage.

6. మీరు రూకలిచ్చి వారియొద్ద ఆహారము కొని తినవచ్చును. రూకలిచ్చి వారియొద్ద నీళ్లు సంపాదించుకొని త్రాగవచ్చును.

6. You may get food for your needs from them for a price, and water for drinking.

7. నీ చేతుల పనులన్నిటిలోను నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను ఆశీర్వ దించెను. ఈ గొప్ప అరణ్యములో నీవు ఈ నలువది సంవత్సరములు సంచరించిన సంగతి ఆయన యెరుగును. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు తోడై యున్నాడు, నీకేమియు తక్కువకాదు.

7. For the blessing of the Lord your God has been on you in all the work of your hands: he has knowledge of your wanderings through this great waste: these forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have been short of nothing.

8. అప్పుడు శేయీరులో నివసించు ఏశావు సంతానపు వారైన మన సహోదరులను విడిచి, ఏలతు ఎసోన్గెబెరు అరాబా మార్గమునుండి మనము ప్రయాణము చేసితివిు.

8. So we went on past our brothers, the children of Esau, living in Seir, by the road through the Arabah, from Elath and Ezion-geber. And turning, we went by the road through the waste land of Moab.

9. మనము తిరిగి మోయాబు అరణ్యమార్గమున ప్రయా ణము చేయుచుండగా యెహోవా నాతో ఇట్లనెనుమోయాబీయులను బాధింపవద్దు; వారితో యుద్ధముచేయ వద్దు. లోతు సంతానమునకు ఆరు దేశమును స్వాస్థ్య ముగా ఇచ్చితిని, వారి భూమిలో ఏదియు నీకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇయ్యను.

9. And the Lord said to me, Make no attack on Moab and do not go to war with them, for I will not give you any of his land: because I have given Ar to the children of Lot for their heritage.

10. పూర్వకాలమున ఏమీయులనువారు ఆరు దేశములో నివసించిరి. వారు అనాకీయులవలె, ఉన్నత దేహులు, బలవంతులైన బహు జనులు. వారును అనాకీయులవలె రెఫాయీయులుగా ఎంచబడిన వారు.

10. (In the past the Emim were living there; a great people, equal in numbers to the Anakim and as tall;

11. మోయాబీయులు వారికి ఏమీయులని పేరు పెట్టిరి.

11. They are numbered among the Rephaim, like the Anakim; but are named Emim by the Moabites.

12. పూర్వకాలమున హోరీయులు శేయీరులో నివసించిరి. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు యెహోవా తమకిచ్చిన స్వాస్థ్యమైన దేశములో చేసినట్లు ఏశావు సంతానపువారు హోరీయుల దేశమును స్వాధీన పరచుకొని తమ యెదుటనుండి వారిని నశింపజేసి వారి దేశములో నివసించిరి.

12. And the Horites in earlier times were living in Seir, but the children of Esau took their place; they sent destruction on them and took their land for themselves, as Israel did to the land of his heritage which the Lord gave them.)

13. కాబట్టిమీరు లేచి జెరెదు ఏరుదాటుడి అని యెహోవా సెలవియ్యగా జెరెదు ఏరు దాటి తివిు.

13. Get up now, and go over the stream Zered. So we went over the stream Zered.

14. మనము కాదేషు బర్నేయలోనుండి బయలు దేరి జెరెదు ఏరుదాటువరకు, అనగా యెహోవా వారిని గూర్చి ప్రమాణము చేసినట్లు సైనికులైన ఆ మనుష్యుల తరమువారందరు సేనలోనుండకుండ నశించువరకు మనము నడిచిన కాలము ముప్పది యెనిమిది సంవత్సరములు. అంతేకాదు, వారు నశించువరకు

14. Thirty-eight years had gone by from the time when we came away from Kadesh-barnea till we went over the stream Zered; by that time all the generation of the men of war among us were dead, as the Lord had said.

15. సేన మధ్యనుండి వారిని సంహరించుటకు యెహోవా బాహువు వారికి విరోధముగా నుండెను.

15. For the hand of the Lord was against them, working their destruction, till all were dead.

16. సైనికులైన వారందరు ప్రజలలోనుండి లయమైపోయిన తరువాత యెహోవా నాకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

16. So when death had overtaken all the men of war among the people,

17. నేడు నీవు మోయాబునకు సరిహద్దుగానున్న ఆరు దేశము దాటబోవుచున్నావు.

17. The word of the Lord came to me, saying,

18. అమ్మోనీయుల మార్గమున వెళ్లునప్పుడు

18. You are about to go by Ar, the limit of the country of Moab;

19. వారిని బాధింపవద్దు, వారితో యుద్ధము చేయవద్దు. ఏలయనగా లోతు సంతానమునకు దానిని స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇచ్చినందున అమ్మోనీయుల దేశములో నీకు స్వాస్థ్యము నియ్యను.

19. And when you come near the land of the children of Ammon, give them no cause of trouble and do not make war on them, for I will not give you any of the land of the children of Ammon for your heritage: because I have given it to the children of Lot.

20. అదియు రెఫాయీయుల దేశమని యెంచబడుచున్నది. పూర్వమందు రెఫాయీ యులు అందులో నివసించిరి. అమ్మోనీయులు వారిని జంజుమీ్మయులందురు.

20. (That land is said to have been a land of the Rephaim, for Rephaim had been living there in earlier times, but they were named Zamzummim by the Ammonites;

21. వారు అనాకీయులవలె ఉన్నత దేహులు, బలవంతు లైన బహు జనులు. అయితే యెహోవా అమ్మోనీయుల యెదుటనుండి వారిని వెళ్లగొట్టెను గనుక అమ్మోనీయులు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొని వారి చోట నివసించిరి.

21. They were a great people, tall as the Anakim, and equal to them in number; but the Lord sent destruction on them and the children of Ammon took their place, living in their land;

22. అట్లు ఆయన శేయీరులో నివసించు ఏశావు సంతానముకొరకు చేసెను. ఎట్లనగా ఆయన వారి యెదుటనుండి హోరీయులను నశింపజేసెను గనుక వారు హోరీయుల దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొని నేటి వరకు వారిచోట నివసించుచున్నారు.

22. As he did for the children of Esau living in Seir, when he sent destruction on the Horites before them, and they took their land where they are living to this day:

23. గాజావరకు గ్రామములలో నివసించిన ఆవీయులను కఫ్తోరులోనుండి బయలుదేరి వచ్చిన కఫ్తారీయులు నశింపజేసి వారిచోట నివసించిరి.

23. And the Avvim, living in the small towns as far as Gaza, came to destruction by the hands of the Caphtorim who came out from Caphtor and took their land.)

24. మీరు లేచి సాగి అర్నోను ఏరుదాటుడి; ఇదిగో అమోరీయుడైన హెష్బోను రాజగు సీహోనును అతని దేశమును నీ చేతికి అప్పగించితిని. దాని స్వాధీన పరచుకొన మొదలుపెట్టి అతనితో యుద్ధము చేయుడి.

24. Get up now, and go on your journey, crossing over the valley of the Arnon: see, I have given into your hands Sihon, the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and all his land: go forward to make it yours, and make war on him,

25. నేడు నేను నీవలని భయము నీవలని వెరపు ఆకాశము క్రిందనున్న సమస్త దేశముల వారికిని పుట్టింప మొదలు పెట్టుచున్నాను. వారు నిన్నుగూర్చిన సమాచారము విని నీయెదుట వణకి మనోవేదన నొందుదురు.

25. From now on I will put the fear of you in all peoples under heaven, who, hearing of you, will be shaking with fear and grief of heart because of you.

26. అప్పుడు నేను కెదేమోతు అరణ్యములోనుండి హెష్బోను రాజైన సీహోనునొద్దకు దూతలను పంపి

26. Then from the waste land of Kedemoth I sent representatives to Sihon, king of Heshbon, with words of peace, saying,

27. నన్ను నీ దేశముగుండ దాటిపోనిమ్ము, కుడియెడమలకు తిరుగక త్రోవనే నడిచిపోవుదును.

27. Let me go through your land: I will keep to the highway, not turning to the right or to the left;

28. నాయొద్ద రూకలు తీసికొని తినుటకు భోజనపదార్థములు నా కిమ్ము; నాయొద్ద రూకలు తీసికొని త్రాగుటకు నీళ్లిమ్ము.

28. Let me have food, at a price, for my needs, and water for drinking: only let me go through on foot;

29. శేయీరులో నివసించు ఏశావు సంతాన పువారును ఆరులో నివసించు మోయాబీయులును నాకు చేసినట్లు, మా దేవుడైన యెహోవా మాకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో ప్రవేశించుటకై యొర్దాను దాటువరకు కాలి నడకచేతనే నన్ను వెళ్లనిమ్మని సమాధానపు మాటలు పలికించితిని.

29. As the children of Esau did for me in Seir and the Moabites in Ar; till I have gone over Jordan into the land which the Lord our God is giving us.

30. అయితే హెష్బోను రాజైన సీహోను మనలను తన దేశమార్గమున వెళ్ల నిచ్చు టకు సమ్మతింపలేదు. నేడు జరిగినట్లు నీ చేతికి అతని అప్పగించుటకు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా అతని మనస్సును కఠినపరచి అతని హృదయమునకు తెగింపు కలుగజేసెను.

30. But Sihon, king of Heshbon, would not let us go through; for the Lord your God made his spirit hard and his heart strong, so that he might give him up into your hands as at this day.

31. అప్పుడు యెహోవాచూడుము; సీహోనును అతని దేశమును నీకు అప్పగింప మొదలు పెట్టియున్నాను. అతని దేశము నీదగునట్లు నీవు దాని స్వాధీనపరచుకొన మొదలు పెట్టుమని నాతో చెప్పెను.

31. And the Lord said to me, See, from now on I have given Sihon and his land into your hands: go forward now to take his land and make it yours.

32. సీహోనును అతని సమస్త జనమును యాహసులో యుద్ధము చేయుటకై మనకు ఎదు రుగా బయలుదేరి రాగా

32. Then Sihon came out against us with all his people, to make an attack on us at Jahaz.

33. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా అతనిని మనకు అప్పగించెను గనుక మనము అతనిని అతని కుమారులను అతని సమస్త జనమును హతము చేసి

33. And the Lord our God gave him into our hands; and we overcame him and his sons and all his people.

34. ఆ కాల మున అతని సమస్త పురములను పట్టుకొని, ప్రతి పురమును అందలి స్త్రీ పురుషులను పిల్లలను శేషమేమియులేకుండ నాశనము చేసితివిు.

34. At that time we took all his towns, and gave them over to complete destruction, together with men, women, and children; we had no mercy on any:

35. పశువులను మనము పట్టుకొనిన పురముల సొమ్మును దోపిడిగా దోచుకొంటిమి.

35. Only the cattle we took for ourselves, with the goods from the towns we had taken.

36. అర్నోను ఏటిలోయ దరినున్న అరోయేరును ఆ యేటియొద్దనున్న పురము మొదలుకొని గిలాదువరకు మనకు అసాధ్యమైన నగర మొకటియు లేకపోయెను. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా అన్నిటిని మనకు అప్పగించెను.

36. From Aroer on the edge of the valley of the Arnon and from the town in the valley as far as Gilead, no town was strong enough to keep us out; the Lord our God gave them all into our hands:

37. అయితే అమ్మోనీయుల దేశమునకైనను యబ్బోకు ఏటి లోయలోని యే ప్రాంత మునకైనను ఆ మన్నెములోని పురములకైనను మన దేవు డైన యెహోవా పోకూడదని చెప్పిన మరి ఏ స్థలమున కైనను నీవు సమీపింపలేదు.

37. But you did not go near the land of the children of Ammon, that is, all the side of the river Jabbok or the towns of the hill-country, wherever the Lord our God had said we were not to go.
