1. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా యెవరి దేశమును నీకిచ్చు చున్నాడో ఆ జనములను నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నాశనము చేసిన తరువాత నీవు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొని, వారి పట్టణములలోను వారి యిండ్ల లోను నివసించునప్పుడు

1. When Yahweh thy God, shall cut off the nations whose land Yahweh thy God is giving thee, and thou shalt dispossess them, and dwell in their cities and in their houses,

2. నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో మూడు పురములను వేరుపరచ వలెను.

2. three cities, shalt thou set apart for thee, in the midst of thy land which Yahweh thy God is giving thee to possess.

3. ప్రతి నరహంతకుడు పారిపోవునట్లుగా నీవు త్రోవను ఏర్పరచుకొని, నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశముయొక్క సరి హద్దులలోగా ఉన్న పురములను మూడు భాగములు చేయవలెను.

3. Thou shalt prepare for thee a way, and shalt divide into three parts the boundary of thy land which Yahweh thy God shall cause thee to inherit, and it shall be that every manslayer shall flee thither.

4. పారిపోయి బ్రదుకగల నరహంతకుని గూర్చిన పద్ధతి యేదనగా, ఒకడు అంతకుముందు తన పొరుగువానియందు పగపట్టక

4. And, this, is the case of the manslayer, who shall flee thither and live, Whoso shall smite his neighbour unwittingly, he, not having hated him aforetime;

5. పొరబాటున వాని చంపిన యెడల, అనగా ఒకడు చెట్లు నరుకుటకు తన పొరుగు వానితోకూడ అడవికిపోయి చెట్లు నరుకుటకు తన చేతితో గొడ్డలిదెబ్బ వేసినప్పుడు, గొడ్డలి పిడి ఊడి వాని పొరుగు వానికి తగిలి వాడు చనిపోయిన యెడల, వాడు అంతకు ముందు తన పొరుగువానియందు పగపట్టలేదు గనుక

5. as when one entereth with his neighbour into a forest, to fell trees, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe, to cut down the tree, and the head flieth off from the handle, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die, he, shall flee into one of these cities, and live;

6. వానికి మరణదండన విధిలేదు. అయితే హత్య విషయ ములో ప్రతిహత్య చేయువాని మనస్సు కోపముతో మండు చుండగా, మార్గము దూరమైనందున వాడు నరహంతకుని తరిమి వాని కలిసికొని వాని చావగొట్టకయుండునట్లు ఆ నరహంతకుడు పారిపోయి ఆ పురములలో ఒకదానియందు జొచ్చి బ్రదుకును.

6. lest the blood redeemer pursue the manslayer because his heart is hot, and overtake him because the way is long, and he smite him so as to take away his life, he not being worthy of death, seeing that he had not been hating him aforetime.

7. అందుచేతనుమూడు పురములను నీకు ఏర్పరచుకొనవలెనని నేను నీకాజ్ఞాపించుచున్నాను.

7. For this cause, am I commanding thee saying, Three cities, shalt thou set apart for thee.

8. మరియు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ పితరులతో ప్రమా ణముచేసినట్లు ఆయన నీ సరిహద్దులను విశాలపరచి, నీ పితరులకు ఇచ్చెదనని చెప్పిన సమస్తదేశమును నీకిచ్చిన యెడల నీవు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను ప్రేమించుచు

8. But, if Yahweh thy God should enlarge thy heralds, as he aware unto thy fathers, and should give thee all the land, which he spake of giving unto thy fathers;

9. నిత్యమును ఆయన మార్గములలో నడుచుటకు నేడు నేను నీకాజ్ఞాపించిన యీ ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరించి నడుచుచు, ఈ మూడు పురములు గాక మరి మూడు పురములను ఏర్పరచుకొనవలెను.

9. because thou dost observe all this commandment to do it which I am commanding thee to-day, to love Yahweh thy God and to walk in his paths all the days, then shalt thou add unto thee yet three cities, unto these three;

10. ప్రాణము తీసిన దోషము నీమీద మోపబడకుండునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు స్వాస్థ్య ముగా ఇచ్చుచున్న నీ దేశమున నిర్దోషియొక్క ప్రాణము తీయకుండవలెను.

10. that innocent blood may not be sired in the midst of thy land, which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee as an inheritance, and so shed-blood be upon thee.

11. ఒకడు తన పొరుగువానియందు పగ పట్టి వానికొరకు పొంచియుండి వానిమీదపడి వాడు చచ్చునట్లు కొట్టి

11. But, when any man shall be hating his neighbour, and shall lie in wait for him and rise up against him, and smite him so as to take away his life that he dieth, and shall then flee into one of these cities,

12. ఆ పురములలో ఒకదాని లోనికి పారి పోయినయెడల, వాని ఊరిపెద్దలు మనుష్యులను పంపి అక్కడనుండి వానిని రప్పించి వానిని చంపుటకై హత్య విషయములో ప్రతిహత్యచేయువానిచేతికి వాని నప్పగింప వలెను.

12. then shall the elders of his city send and fetch him from thence, and deliver him into the hand of the blood redeemer that he die;

13. వాని కటాక్షింపకూడదు; నీకు మేలు కలుగు నట్లు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మధ్యనుండి నిర్దోషి ప్రాణవిషయ మైన దోషమును పరిహరింపవలెను.

13. thine eye shall not look with pity upon him, so shall thou consume the shedding of innocent blood out of Israel and it shah go well with thee.

14. నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో నీకు కలుగు నీ స్వాస్థ్యములో పూర్వికులు నియమించిన నీ పొరుగువాని సరిహద్దు రాతిని నీవు తీసివేయకూడదు.

14. Thou shall not move back the boundary of thy neighbour, by which they set bounds at first, in thine inheritance which thou shall receive in the land which Yahweh thy God is giving thee to possess.

15. ఒకడు చేయు సమస్త పాపములలో ఏ అపరాధమును గూర్చియే గాని యే పాపమునుగూర్చియే గాని ఒక సాక్షి యొక్క సాక్ష్యమును అంగీకరింపకూడదు. ఇద్దరు సాక్షుల మాటమీదనైనను ముగ్గురు సాక్షుల మాటమీదనైనను ప్రతి సంగతి స్థిరపరచబడును.

15. One witness I shall not rise up, against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, with regard to any sin that he may commit, at the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses, must a matter be establish.

16. అన్యాయపు సాక్ష్యము ఒకని మీద చెప్పుటకు ఒకడు నిలువబడి నేరము మోపుటకై అబద్ధమాడినయెడల

16. When there shall rise up a wrongful witness against a man, to answer against him perversely,

17. ఆ వివాదముగల ఇద్దరు మనుష్యులు యెహోవా సన్నిధిని, అనగా ఆ కాలములోనున్న యాజ కుల యెదుటను న్యాయాధిపతుల యెదుటను నిలువ వలెను.

17. then shall the two men who are at variance stand before Yahweh, before the priests and the judges who shall be in those days;

18. ఆ న్యాయాధిపతులు బాగుగా విమర్శించిన తరువాత వాని సాక్ష్యము అబద్ధసాక్ష్యమై తన సహో దరునిమీద వాడు అబద్ధసాక్ష్యము చెప్పిన సంగతి వెల్లడి యైన యెడల, వాడు తన సహోదరునికి చేయ తలంచినట్లే వానికి చేయవలెను.

18. and the judges shall make diligent inquisition, and lo! if the witness be, a false witness and, falsely, have answered against his brother,

19. అట్లు మీ మధ్యనుండి ఆ చెడుతన మును పరిహరించుదురు.

19. then shall ye do unto him as he had thought to de unto his brother, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst;

20. మిగిలినవారు విని భయపడి నీ దేశమున అట్టి దుష్కార్యము ఇకను చేయకుందురు.

20. and, they who remain shall hear and fear, and not go on to do again according to this wicked thing, in thy midst:

21. నీవు ఎవనిని కటాక్షింపకూడదు, ప్రాణమునకు ప్రాణము కంటికి కన్ను పంటికి పల్లు చేతికి చెయ్యి కాలికి కాలు మీకు విధి.

21. neither shall thine eye pity, life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
