1. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా యెవరి దేశమును నీకిచ్చు చున్నాడో ఆ జనములను నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నాశనము చేసిన తరువాత నీవు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొని, వారి పట్టణములలోను వారి యిండ్ల లోను నివసించునప్పుడు

1. Whan ye LORDE thy God shall haue roted out ye nacios, whose londe ye LORDE thy God shal geue the, so yt thou hast conquered them, and dwellest in their cities and houses,

2. నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో మూడు పురములను వేరుపరచ వలెను.

2. thou shalt appoynte the out thre cities in the myddes of the lode, yt the LORDE thy God shal geue ye to possesse.

3. ప్రతి నరహంతకుడు పారిపోవునట్లుగా నీవు త్రోవను ఏర్పరచుకొని, నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశముయొక్క సరి హద్దులలోగా ఉన్న పురములను మూడు భాగములు చేయవలెను.

3. Thou shalt prepare the waye, and parte the coastes of yi londe (which ye LORDE thy God shal deuyde out vnto the) in to thre partes, that whosoeuer hath commytted a slaughter, maye flie thither.

4. పారిపోయి బ్రదుకగల నరహంతకుని గూర్చిన పద్ధతి యేదనగా, ఒకడు అంతకుముందు తన పొరుగువానియందు పగపట్టక

4. And this shalbe the cause, that whosoeuer hath committed a slaughter, maye flye thyther, and lyue.

5. పొరబాటున వాని చంపిన యెడల, అనగా ఒకడు చెట్లు నరుకుటకు తన పొరుగు వానితోకూడ అడవికిపోయి చెట్లు నరుకుటకు తన చేతితో గొడ్డలిదెబ్బ వేసినప్పుడు, గొడ్డలి పిడి ఊడి వాని పొరుగు వానికి తగిలి వాడు చనిపోయిన యెడల, వాడు అంతకు ముందు తన పొరుగువానియందు పగపట్టలేదు గనుక

5. Yf eny man smyte his neghboure vnawarres, and hath not hated him in tyme passed (as whan a man goeth vnto the wod with his neghboure to hew downe tymber, and he turneth his hande wt the axe to hewe downe the wod, and the yron slyppeth from the helue, and hytteth his neghboure, that he dyeth) the same shal flye in to one of these cities, that he maye lyue,

6. వానికి మరణదండన విధిలేదు. అయితే హత్య విషయ ములో ప్రతిహత్య చేయువాని మనస్సు కోపముతో మండు చుండగా, మార్గము దూరమైనందున వాడు నరహంతకుని తరిమి వాని కలిసికొని వాని చావగొట్టకయుండునట్లు ఆ నరహంతకుడు పారిపోయి ఆ పురములలో ఒకదానియందు జొచ్చి బ్రదుకును.

6. lest the auenger of bloude folowe after the deedsleyer, whyle his hert is whote, and ouertake him, whyle the waye is so farre, and slaye him, where as yet no cause of death is in hi, for so moch as he hated him not in tyme passed.

7. అందుచేతనుమూడు పురములను నీకు ఏర్పరచుకొనవలెనని నేను నీకాజ్ఞాపించుచున్నాను.

7. Therfore commaunde I the, that thou appoynte out thre cities.

8. మరియు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ పితరులతో ప్రమా ణముచేసినట్లు ఆయన నీ సరిహద్దులను విశాలపరచి, నీ పితరులకు ఇచ్చెదనని చెప్పిన సమస్తదేశమును నీకిచ్చిన యెడల నీవు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను ప్రేమించుచు

8. And whan the LORDE yi God enlargeth thy borders, as he hath sworne vnto thy fathers, & geueth the all the lode which he promysed thy fathers to geue

9. నిత్యమును ఆయన మార్గములలో నడుచుటకు నేడు నేను నీకాజ్ఞాపించిన యీ ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరించి నడుచుచు, ఈ మూడు పురములు గాక మరి మూడు పురములను ఏర్పరచుకొనవలెను.

9. (so that thou kepe all these comaundementes, and do yt I commaunde the this daye, yt thou loue the LORDE thy God, and walke in his wayes all yi life longe) the shalt thou adde yet thre cities vnto these thre,

10. ప్రాణము తీసిన దోషము నీమీద మోపబడకుండునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు స్వాస్థ్య ముగా ఇచ్చుచున్న నీ దేశమున నిర్దోషియొక్క ప్రాణము తీయకుండవలెను.

10. that innocent bloude be not shed in thy londe (which the LORDE yi God geueth the to enheritaunce) and so bloude come vpon the.

11. ఒకడు తన పొరుగువానియందు పగ పట్టి వానికొరకు పొంచియుండి వానిమీదపడి వాడు చచ్చునట్లు కొట్టి

11. But yf eny man beare hate agaynst his neghboure, and layeth waite for him, and ryseth agaynst him, and smyteth him that he dye, and flyeth in to one of these cities,

12. ఆ పురములలో ఒకదాని లోనికి పారి పోయినయెడల, వాని ఊరిపెద్దలు మనుష్యులను పంపి అక్కడనుండి వానిని రప్పించి వానిని చంపుటకై హత్య విషయములో ప్రతిహత్యచేయువానిచేతికి వాని నప్పగింప వలెను.

12. then shall the Elders of the same cite sende thither, and cause him to be fetched from thence, and delyuer him in to the handes of the auenger of bloude, that he maye dye:

13. వాని కటాక్షింపకూడదు; నీకు మేలు కలుగు నట్లు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మధ్యనుండి నిర్దోషి ప్రాణవిషయ మైన దోషమును పరిహరింపవలెను.

13. thine eye shal not pitie him, and the giltye bloude shalt thou put awaye fro Israel, that thou mayest prospere.

14. నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో నీకు కలుగు నీ స్వాస్థ్యములో పూర్వికులు నియమించిన నీ పొరుగువాని సరిహద్దు రాతిని నీవు తీసివేయకూడదు.

14. Thou shalt not remoue thy neghbours marck, which they of olde tyme haue set in thine enheritaunce, that thou enheretest in the londe, which the LORDE thy God hath geuen the to possesse it.

15. ఒకడు చేయు సమస్త పాపములలో ఏ అపరాధమును గూర్చియే గాని యే పాపమునుగూర్చియే గాని ఒక సాక్షి యొక్క సాక్ష్యమును అంగీకరింపకూడదు. ఇద్దరు సాక్షుల మాటమీదనైనను ముగ్గురు సాక్షుల మాటమీదనైనను ప్రతి సంగతి స్థిరపరచబడును.

15. One witnesse shal not stonde vp alone agaynst a man, ouer eny trespace or synne, what maner of synne so euer it be, yt a man can do, but in the mouth of two or thre witnesses shal euery matter be stablished.

16. అన్యాయపు సాక్ష్యము ఒకని మీద చెప్పుటకు ఒకడు నిలువబడి నేరము మోపుటకై అబద్ధమాడినయెడల

16. But yf an vnrighteous wytnesse stonde vp agaynst eny man, to testifye eny trespace vpon him,

17. ఆ వివాదముగల ఇద్దరు మనుష్యులు యెహోవా సన్నిధిని, అనగా ఆ కాలములోనున్న యాజ కుల యెదుటను న్యాయాధిపతుల యెదుటను నిలువ వలెను.

17. then shall both the men that stryue together, stonde before the LORDE, before the prestes and Iudges, which shall be at the same tyme.

18. ఆ న్యాయాధిపతులు బాగుగా విమర్శించిన తరువాత వాని సాక్ష్యము అబద్ధసాక్ష్యమై తన సహో దరునిమీద వాడు అబద్ధసాక్ష్యము చెప్పిన సంగతి వెల్లడి యైన యెడల, వాడు తన సహోదరునికి చేయ తలంచినట్లే వానికి చేయవలెను.

18. And the iudges shall make diligent inquisicion: & yf the witnesse be founde false, and hath geue false witnesse agaynst his brother,

19. అట్లు మీ మధ్యనుండి ఆ చెడుతన మును పరిహరించుదురు.

19. then shall ye do vnto him, euen as he thoughte to do vnto his brother: that thou mayest put awaye the euell from the that

20. మిగిలినవారు విని భయపడి నీ దేశమున అట్టి దుష్కార్యము ఇకను చేయకుందురు.

20. other maye heare and feare, and take nomore vpon them to do soch wicked poyntes amonge you.

21. నీవు ఎవనిని కటాక్షింపకూడదు, ప్రాణమునకు ప్రాణము కంటికి కన్ను పంటికి పల్లు చేతికి చెయ్యి కాలికి కాలు మీకు విధి.

21. Thine eye shall not pitie him. Soule for soule, eye for eye, tothe for tothe, hande for hande, fote for fote.
