1. యొర్దాను ఇవతలనున్న అరణ్యములో, అనగా పారాను కును తోపెలు, లాబాను, హజేరోతు, దీజాహాబను స్థల ములకును మధ్య సూపునకు ఎదురుగానున్న ఆరాబాలో మోషే, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరితో చెప్పిన మాటలు ఇవే.

1. These be the wordes whiche Moyses spake vnto all Israel on the other side Iordan in the wyldernesse, in ye playne ouer agaynst the red sea, betweene Pharan & Thophel, Laban, Hazeroth, and Disahab.

2. హోరేబునుండి శేయీరు మన్నెపుమార్గముగా కాదేషు బర్నేయవరకు పదకొండు దినముల ప్రయాణము.

2. There are eleuen dayes iourney from Horeb, by the way of mount Seir, vnto Cades Barnea.

3. హెష్బోనులో నివసించిన అమోరీయుల రాజైన సీహో నును అష్తారోతులో నివసించిన బాషాను రాజైన ఓగును ఎద్రెయీలో హతము చేసినతరువాత

3. And it came to passe in the first day of the eleuenth moneth, in the fourtie yere, that Moyses spake vnto the chyldren of Israel, accordyng vnto all that the Lord had geuen hym in commaundement vnto them:

4. నలుబదియవ సంవ త్సరములో పదకొండవ నెల మొదటి తేదిని మోషే ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు బోధించుటకై యెహోవా తన కాజ్ఞా పించినదంతయు వారితో చెప్పెను.

4. After he had slayne Sehon the king of the Amorites whiche dwelt in Hesbon, & Og king of Basan whiche dwelt at Astaroth in Edrai.

5. యొర్దాను ఇవతలనున్న మోయాబు దేశమున మోషే యీ ధర్మశాస్త్రమును ప్రక టింప మొదలుపెట్టి ఇట్లనెను

5. On the other side Iordane in the land of Moab, began Moyses to declare this lawe, saying:

6. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా హోరేబులో మనకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను ఈ పర్వతము నొద్ద మీరు నివసించిన కాలము చాలును;

6. The Lorde our God spake vnto vs in Horeb, saying: Ye haue dwelt long inough in this mount.

7. మీరు తిరిగి ప్రయాణమై అమోరీయుల మన్నెమునకును, అరాబా లోను, మన్నెములోను, లోయలోను, దక్షిణదిక్కున సముద్రతీరములోనున్న స్థలములన్నిటికిని, కనానుదేశము నకును, లెబానోనుకును, మహానదియైన యూఫ్రటీసువరకును వెళ్లుడి.

7. Turne you and take your iourney, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and vnto all the places nye therevnto, both vnto the playne, and hilles, and dales, to the south, to the seas side, to the lande of Chanaan, and vnto Libanon, euen vnto the great riuer, the riuer Euphrates.

8. ఇదిగో ఆ దేశమును మీకు అప్పగించితిని మీరు వెళ్లి యెహోవా మీ పితరులైన అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకు యాకోబులకును వారి తరువాత వారి సంతానమునకును ఇచ్చెదనని నేను ప్రమాణముచేసిన దేశమును స్వాధీన పరచుకొనుడి.

8. Beholde, I haue set the lande before you: Go in and possesse the land which the Lord sware vnto your fathers, Abraham, Isahac, and Iacob, to geue vnto them, & to their seede after them.

9. అప్పుడు నేనుఒంటరిగా మిమ్మును భరింపలేను.

9. And I spake vnto you in the same time, saying: I am not able to beare you my selfe alone.

10. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మిమ్ము విస్తరింప జేసెను గనుక నేడు మీరు ఆకాశ నక్షత్రములవలె విస్తరించి యున్నారు.

10. For the Lorde your God hath multiplied you: so that you be this day as the starres of heauen in number.

11. మీ పితరుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ జనసంఖ్యను వెయ్యి రెట్లు ఎక్కువచేసి, తాను మీతో చెప్పినట్లు మిమ్మును ఆశీర్వదించునుగాక.

11. (The Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many mo as ye are, and blesse you as he hath promised you.)

12. నేనొక్కడనే మీ కష్టమును మీ భారమును మీ వివాదమును ఎట్లు భరింపగలను?

12. Howe can I my selfe alone, beare your cumbraunce, your charge, & your stryfe that is among you?

13. జ్ఞానవివేకములు కలిగి, మీ మీ గోత్రము లలో ప్రసిద్ధిచెందిన మనుష్యులను ఏర్పరచుకొనుడి; వారిని మీమీద నియమించెదనని మీతో చెప్పగా

13. Bryng you men of wysdome, and of vnderstanding, and expert, accordyng to your tribes, and I wyll make them rulers ouer you.

14. మీరునీవు చెప్పిన మాటచొప్పున చేయుట మంచిదని నాకు ఉత్తరమిచ్చితిరి.

14. And ye aunswered me, & sayde: That which yu hast spoken, is good for vs to do.

15. కాబట్టి బుద్ధి కలిగి ప్రసిద్ధులైన మీ మీ గోత్రములలోని ముఖ్యులను పిలిపించుకొని, మీ గోత్రములకు న్యాయాధిపతులుగా ఉండుటకై వెయ్యి మందికి ఒకడును, నూరుమందికి ఒకడును ఏబదిమందికి ఒకడును, పదిమందికి ఒకడును వారిని, మీమీద నేను నియమించితిని.

15. And so out of your tribes I toke the chiefe men of wysdome, and that were expert, and made them rulers ouer you, captaynes ouer thousandes, & captaines ouer hundredes, captaines ouer fiftie, and captaines ouer ten, and officers among your tribes.

16. అప్పుడు నేను మీ న్యాయాధిపతులతోమీ సహోదరుల వ్యాజ్యెములను తీర్చి, ప్రతి మనుష్యుని కిని వాని సహోదరునికిని వానియొద్దనున్న పరదేశికిని న్యాయమునుబట్టి మీరు తీర్పు తీర్చవలెను.

16. And I charged your Iudges that same tyme, saying: Heare the cause of your brethren, and iudge righteously betweene euery man and his brother, and the straunger that is with hym.

17. తీర్పు తీర్చు నప్పుడు అల్పుల సంగతి గాని ఘనుల సంగతి గాని పక్ష పాతములేకుండ వినవలెను; న్యాయపుతీర్పు దేవునిదే. కాబట్టి మీరు మనుష్యుని ముఖము చూచి భయపడవద్దు. మీకు అసాధ్యమైన కఠినవ్యాజ్యెమును నాయొద్దకు తీసి కొని రావలెను; నేను దానిని విచారించెదనని వారి కాజ్ఞా పించితిని.

17. Ye shall haue no respect of any person in iudgement, but you shall heare the small aswell as the great: You shall not feare the face of any man, for the iudgement is Gods. And the cause that is to harde for you, referre it vnto me, and I wyll heare it.

18. మరియు మీరు చేయవలసిన సమస్తకార్యము లను గూర్చి అప్పుడు మీకాజ్ఞాపించితిని.

18. And I comaunded you the same season, all the thinges which ye should do.

19. మనము హోరేబునుండి సాగి మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా మనకాజ్ఞాపించినట్లు మీరు చూచిన ఆ ఘోరమైన మహా రణ్యములోనుండి వచ్చి, అమోరీయుల మన్నెపు మార్గమున కాదేషు బర్నేయకు చేరితివిు.

19. And when we departed from Horeb, we went thorow all that great and terrible wyldernesse, as ye haue seene by the way of the mountayne of the Amorites, as the Lorde our God commaunded vs: and we came to Cades Barnea.

20. అప్పుడు నేనుమన దేవు డైన యెహోవా మనకిచ్చుచున్న అమోరీయుల మన్నె మునకు వచ్చి యున్నాము.

20. And I sayd vnto you: Ye are come vnto ye mountaine of ye Amorites, which the Lorde our God doth geue vnto vs.

21. ఇదిగో నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా యీ దేశమును నీకు అప్పగించెను. నీ పితరుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీతో సెలవిచ్చినట్లు దాని స్వాధీనపరచు కొనుము, భయపడకుము, అధైర్యపడకుమని నీతో చెప్పితిని.

21. Beholde, the Lorde thy God hath set the lande before thee: go vp and possesse it, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath sayd vnto thee: feare not, neither be discouraged.

22. అప్పుడు మీరందరు నాయొద్దకు వచ్చిమనకంటె ముందుగా మనుష్యులను పంపుదము; వారు మనకొరకు ఈ దేశమును వేగు జూచి, తిరిగి వచ్చి అందులోనికి మనము వెళ్లవలసిన త్రోవను గూర్చియు, మనము చేరవలసిన పురములను గూర్చియు మనకు వర్తమానము చెప్పుదు రంటిరి.

22. And ye came vnto me euery one, and sayde: we wyll sende men before vs, to searche vs out the land, and to bryng vs worde agayne what way we must go vp by, & vnto what cities we shall come.

23. ఆ మాట మంచిదనుకొని నేను గోత్రమొక్కంటికి ఒక మనుష్యుని చొప్పున పన్నిద్దరు మనుష్యులను పిలి పించితిని.

23. And the saying pleased me well: and I toke twelue men of you, of euery tribe one.

24. వారు తిరిగి ఆ మన్నెమునకు పోయి ఎష్కోలు లోయకు వచ్చి దాని వేగుజూచి ఆ దేశఫలములను చేత పట్టుకొని

24. Whiche departed, & went vp into that mountayne, and came vnto the valley Eschol, and searched it out,

25. మనయొద్దకు తీసికొని వచ్చిమన దేవుడైన యెహోవా మన కిచ్చుచున్న దేశము మంచిదని మనకు తెలియ జెప్పిరి.

25. And toke of the lande in their handes, and brought it vnto vs, and brought vs word agayne, and sayd: It is a good lande whiche the Lorde our God doth geue vs.

26. అయితే మీరు వెళ్లనొల్లక మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన మాటకు తిరుగబడి

26. Notwithstandyng, ye woulde not go vp, but were disobedient vnto the word of the Lorde your God,

27. మీ గుడారము లలో సణుగుచుయెహోవా మనయందు పగపట్టినందున మనలను సంహరించునట్లు అమోరీయుల చేతికి మనలను అప్పగించుటకు ఐగుప్తుదేశములో నుండి మనలను రప్పించి యున్నాడు.

27. And murmured in your tentes, and said: Because ye Lord hateth vs, therfore hath he brought vs out of the lande of Egypt, to deliuer vs into the hande of the Amorites, and to destroy vs.

28. మనమెక్కడికి వెళ్లగలము? మన సహో దరులు అక్కడి జనులు మనకంటె బలిష్ఠులును ఎత్త రులునై యున్నారు; ఆ పట్టణములు గొప్పవై ఆకాశము నంటు ప్రాకారములతో నున్నవి; అక్కడ అనాకీయు లను చూచితిమని చెప్పి మా హృదయములను కరగజేసిరని మీరు చెప్పితిరి.

28. Whyther shal we go vp? Our brethren haue discouraged our heart, saying: the people is greater and taller then we, the cities are great, and walled euen vp to heauen, and moreouer we haue seene the sonnes of the Anakims there.

29. అప్పుడు నేను మిమ్మును చూచి దిగులు పడకుడి, వారికి భయపడకుడి,

29. Then I sayde vnto you: Dreade not, nor be afraide of them.

30. మీకు ముందర నడుచు చున్న మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ కన్నులయెదుట

30. The Lorde your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, accordyng to all that he dyd vnto you in Egypt before your eyes:

31. ఐగుప్తులోను అరణ్యములోను మీకొరకు చేసినట్టు మీ పక్షముగా యుద్ధము చేయును, మీరు ఈ చోటికి చేరువరకు మీరు వచ్చిన మార్గమంతటిలోను మనుష్యుడు తన కుమారుని ఎత్తికొనునట్లు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మిమ్మును ఎత్తికొని వచ్చిన సంగతి మీరెరుగుదురని మీతో చెప్పితిని.

31. And in the wyldernesse, where thou hast seene howe that the Lord thy God bare thee, euen as a man doth beare his sonne, in al the way which ye haue gone by, vntill ye came vnto this place:

32. అయితే మీకు త్రోవ చూపించి మీ గుడా రములను వేయవలసిన స్థలమును మీకు సిద్ధపరచునట్లు

32. And yet in this thing ye did not beleue the Lorde your God.

33. రాత్రి అగ్నిలోను పగలు మేఘములోను మీకు ముందర నడి చిన మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయందు మీరు విశ్వాస ముంచలేదు.

33. He went in the way before you, to searche you out a place to pitche your tentes in, in fyre by nyght, yt ye myght see what way to go, & in a cloude by day.

34. కాగా యెహోవా మీరు చెప్పిన మాటలువిని

34. And the Lorde hearde the voyce of your wordes, & was wroth, and sware, saying:

35. బహుగా కోపపడినేను మీ పితరులకిచ్చెదనని ప్రమాణము చేసిన యీ మంచి దేశమును ఈ చెడ్డతరము వారిలొ

35. There shall not one of these men, and of this frowarde generation, see that good lande whiche I sware to geue vnto your fathers:

36. యెఫున్నె కుమారుడైన కాలేబు తప్ప మరి ఎవ డును చూడడు. అతడు పూర్ణమనస్సుతో యెహోవాను అనుసరించెను గనుక అతడు దానిని చూచును. అతడు అడుగుపెట్టిన దేశమును నేను అతనికిని అతని సంతాన మునకును ఇచ్చెదనని ప్రమాణముచేసెను.

36. Saue Caleb the sonne of Iephune, he shall see it, and to him wyll I geue the lande that he hath troden vpon, and to his chyldren, because he hath folowed the Lorde.

37. మరియు యెహోవా మిమ్మునుబట్టి నామీద కోపపడినీ పరిచారకు డగు నూను కుమారుడైన యెహోషువ దానిలో ప్రవేశిం చునుగాని నీవు దానిలో ప్రవేశింపవు.

37. Also the Lorde was angry with me for your sakes, saying: Thou also shalt not go in thyther.

38. అతడు ఇశ్రా యేలీయులు దాని స్వాధీనపరచుకొన చేయును గనుక అతని ధైర్యపరచుము.

38. But Iosuah the sonne of Nun which standeth before thee, he shal go in thyther. Encourage hym therfore: for he shall cause Israel to inherite the lande.

39. ఆ దినమున మంచి చెడ్డలనెరుగని మీ కుమారులు, అనగా అపహరింప బడుదురని మీరు చెప్పిన మీ పిల్లలు దానిలో ప్రవేశింతురు; దానిని వారి కిచ్చెదను; వారు దానిని స్వాధీనపరచుకొందురు.

39. Moreouer, your chyldren, which ye sayde should be a pray, and your sonnes whiche in that day had no knowledge betweene good and euyll, they shall go in thyther, and vnto them wyll I geue it, and they shall enioy it.

40. మీరు తిరిగి ఎఱ్ఱసముద్ర మార్గముగా అరణ్యమునకు ప్రయాణము చేయుడని చెప్పెను.

40. But as for you, turne your face, and take your iourney into the wildernesse, euen by the way of the red sea.

41. అందుకు మీరుమేము యెహో వాకు విరోధముగా పాపము చేసితివిు; మా దేవుడైన యెహోవా మా కాజ్ఞాపించిన మాటలన్నిటి ననుసరించి మేము పోయి యుద్ధము చేసెదమని నాతో ఉత్తర మిచ్చి, మీరందరు మీ ఆయుధములను కట్టుకొని, ఆలోచింపక ఆ మన్నెమునకు పోగా

41. Then ye aunswered and sayde vnto me, We haue sinned agaynst the Lord: we wyll go vp and fight, according to all that the Lorde our God commaunded vs. And when ye had gyrde on euery man his weapons of warre, ye were redie to go vp into the hyll.

42. యెహోవా నాతో ఇట్లనెనుయుద్ధమునకు పోకుడి; నేను మీ మధ్యనుండను గనుక వెళ్లకుడి; మీరు వెళ్లినను మీ శత్రువులయెదుట హతము చేయబడుదురని వారితో చెప్పుము.

42. And the Lord sayd vnto me: Say vnto them, go not vp, neither fight, for I am not among you: lest ye fall before your enemies.

43. ఆ మాటలు నేను మీతో చెప్పినప్పుడు మీరు వినక యెహోవా మాటకు తిరుగబడి మూర్ఖులై ఆ మన్నెమునకు వెళ్లితిరి.

43. And I tolde you these thynges, & you woulde not heare, but disobayed the worde of the Lord, and went presumptuously vp into the hyll.

44. అప్పుడు ఆ మన్నెములో నివసించిన అమోరీయులు మీకెదురుగా బయలుదేరి వచ్చి, కందిరీగలవలె మిమ్ము తరిమి హోర్మావరకు శేయీరులో మిమ్ము హతముచేసిరి.

44. And the Amorites whiche dwelt in that mountayne, came out against you, and chased you as bees vse to do, and destroyed you in Seir, euen vnto Horma.

45. తరువాత మీరు తిరిగి వచ్చి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని యేడ్వగా, యెహోవా మీ మొఱను లక్ష్యపెట్టలేదు, మీ మాట వినలేదు.

45. And ye came agayne, and wept before the Lorde: but the Lorde would not heare your voyce, nor hearken vnto you.

46. కాగా మీరు కాదేషులో బహు దినములు నివసించితిరి. మీరు నివసించిన దినములెన్నో మీకు తెలిసినవి.

46. And so ye abode in Cades a long season, according vnto the tyme that ye remayned [before.] That whiche was done from the tyme they departed from Cades Barnea, vnto the battayle agaynst the kynges, Sehon and Og.
