1. నేను స్వతంత్రుడను కానా? నేను అపొస్తలుడను కానా? మన ప్రభువైన యేసును నేను చూడలేదా? ప్రభువునందు నాపనికి ఫలము మీరు కారా?

1. Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?

2. ఇతరులకు నేను అపొస్తలుడను కాకపోయినను మీమట్టుకైనను అపొస్తలుడనై యున్నాను. ప్రభువునందు నా అపొస్తలత్వ మునకు ముద్రగా ఉన్నవారు మీరే కారా?

2. If I am not an apostle to others, yet indeed I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

3. My defense to those who examine me is this:

4. తినుటకును త్రాగుటకును మాకు అధికారము లేదా?

4. Do we have no right to eat and drink?

5. తక్కిన అపొస్తలులవలెను, ప్రభువుయొక్క సహోదరులవలెను, కేఫావలెను విశ్వాసురాలైన భార్యను వెంటబెట్టుకొని తిరుగుటకు మాకు అధికారములేదా?

5. Do we have no right to take along a wife [who is] a sister, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

6. మరియు పని చేయకుండుటకు నేనును బర్నబాయు మాత్రమే అధికారము లేని వారమా?

6. Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to forego working?

7. ఎవడైనను తన సొంత ఖర్చు పెట్టుకొని దండులో కొలువు చేయునా? ద్రాక్షతోటవేసి దాని ఫలము తిననివాడెవడు? మందను కాచి మంద పాలు త్రాగనివాడెవడు?

7. Who ever serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink from the milk of the flock?

8. ఈ మాటలు లోకాచారమును బట్టి చెప్పుచున్నానా? ధర్మశాస్త్రముకూడ వీటిని చెప్పు చున్నదిగదా?

8. Do I say these things as a mere man? Or does not the law say these things also?

9. కళ్లము త్రొక్కుచున్న యెద్దు మూతికి చిక్కము పెట్టవద్దు అని మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్రములో వ్రాయబడియున్నది. దేవుడు ఎడ్లకొరకు విచారించుచున్నాడా?

9. For it is written in the law of Moses, 'You shall not muzzle an ox while it threshes.' Is it oxen God is concerned about?

10. కేవలము మనకొరకు దీనిని చెప్పుచున్నాడా? అవును, మనకొరకే గదా యీ మాట వ్రాయబడెను? ఏలయనగా, దున్నువాడు ఆశతో దున్నవలెను, కళ్లము త్రొక్కించువాడు పంటలో పాలుపొందుదునను ఆశతో త్రొక్కింపవలెను.

10. Or does He say [this] altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, for it is written, that he that plows should plow in hope, and he that threshes, in hope should partake of his hope.

11. మీకొరకు ఆత్మసంబంధమైనవి మేము విత్తియుండగా మీవలన శరీరసంబంధమైన ఫలములు కోసికొనుట గొప్ప కార్యమా?

11. If we have sown spiritual things for you, [is it] a great thing if we reap your material things?

12. ఇతరులకు మీ పైని యీ అధికారములో పాలు కలిగినయెడల మాకు ఎక్కువ కలదు గదా? అయితే మేము ఈ అధికారమును వినియోగించుకొనలేదు; క్రీస్తు సువార్తకు ఏ అభ్యంతరమైనను కలుగజేయకుండుటకై అన్నిటిని సహించుచున్నాము.

12. If others partake of this right over you, do not we even more? Nevertheless we did not use this right, but bear all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.

13. ఆలయకృత్యములు జరిగించువారు ఆలయమువలన జీవనము చేయుచున్నా రనియు, బలిపీఠమునొద్ద కనిపెట్టుకొనియుండువారు బలి పీఠముతో పాలివారై యున్నారనియు మీరెరుగరా?

13. Do you not know that those who minister the holy things eat from the temple, and those who serve at the altar have a share in the altar?

14. ఆలాగున సువార్త ప్రచురించువారు సువార్తవలన జీవింపవలెనని ప్రభువునియమించియున్నాడు.

14. Thus also the Lord commanded those who proclaim the gospel to live from the gospel.

15. నేనైతే వీటిలో దేనినైనను వినియోగించుకొనలేదు; మీరు నాయెడల యీలాగున జరుపవలెనని ఈ సంగతులు వ్రాయనులేదు. ఎవడైనను నా అతిశయమును నిరర్థకము చేయుటకంటె నాకు మరణమే మేలు.

15. But I used none of these things, nor have I written these things that it should become thus for me; for it is better for me rather to die than that anyone should make my boasting void.

16. నేను సువార్తను ప్రకటించు చున్నను నాకు అతిశయకారణములేదు. సువార్తను ప్రకటింపవలసిన భారము నామీద మోపబడియున్నది. అయ్యో, నేను సువార్తను ప్రకటింపక పోయినయెడల నాకు శ్రమ.

16. For if I preach the gospel, there is nothing for me to boast about, for necessity is pressed upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!

17. ఇది నేనిష్టపడి చేసినయెడల నాకు జీతము దొరకును. ఇష్టపడకపోయినను గృహనిర్వాహకత్వము నాకు అప్పగింపబడెను.

17. For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if unwillingly, I have been entrusted with a commission.

18. అట్లయితే నాకు జీతమేమి? నేను సువార్తను ప్రకటించునప్పుడు సువార్తయందు నాకున్న అధికారమును పూర్ణముగా వినియోగ పరచుకొనకుండ సువార్తను ఉచితముగా ప్రకటించుటయే నా జీతము.

18. What then is my reward? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ free of charge, so as not to exploit my rights in the gospel.

19. నేను అందరి విషయము స్వతంత్రుడనై యున్నను ఎక్కువమందిని సంపాదించుకొనుటకై అందరికిని నన్ను నేనే దాసునిగా చేసికొంటిని.

19. For being free from all [men], I have made myself a servant to all, in order that I might win the more;

20. యూదులను సంపాదించుకొనుటకు యూదులకు యూదునివలె ఉంటిని. ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవారిని సంపాదించుకొనుటకు నేను ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవాడను కాకపోయినను, ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవానివలె ఉంటిని.

20. and to the Jews I became as a Jew, in order that I might win Jews; to those who are under law, as under law, in order that I might win those who are under law;

21. దేవుని విషయమై ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివాడను కాను గాని క్రీస్తు విషయమై ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవాడను. అయినను ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివారిని సంపాదించుకొనుటకు ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివారికి ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివానివలెఉంటిని.

21. to those outside the law, as [one] outside the law (not being outside the law toward God, but subject to [the] law toward Christ), in order that I might win those outside the law;

22. బలహీనులను సంపాదించుకొనుటకు బలహీనులకు బలహీనుడనైతిని. ఏ విధముచేతనైనను కొందరిని రక్షింపవలెనని అందరికి అన్నివిధముల వాడనైయున్నాను.

22. to the weak I became as weak, in order that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all [men], that I might by all means save some.

23. మరియు నేను సువార్తలో వారితో పాలివాడనగుటకై దానికొరకే సమస్తమును చేయుచున్నాను.

23. Now this I do for the sake of the gospel, in order that I may become a partaker of it [with you].

24. పందెపు రంగమందు పరుగెత్తువారందరు పరుగెత్తుదురుగాని యొక్కడే బహుమానము పొందునని మీకు తెలియదా? అటువలె మీరు బహుమానము పొందునట్లుగా పరుగెత్తుడి.

24. Do you not know that those running in a stadium all run, but one receives the prize? So run, in order that you may win.

25. మరియు పందెమందు పోరాడు ప్రతివాడు అన్ని విషయములయందు మితముగా ఉండును. వారు క్షయమగు కిరీటమును పొందుటకును, మనమైతే అక్షయమగు కిరీటమును పొందుటకును మితముగా ఉన్నాము.

25. And everyone who competes exercises self-control [in] all things. Now they [compete] in order that they may receive a perishable crown, but we [compete] [for] an imperishable crown.

26. కాబట్టి నేను గురి చూడనివానివలె పరుగెత్తు వాడనుకాను,

26. Therefore I run thus: not as without a goal, thus I box: not as one beating the air.

27. గాలిని కొట్టినట్టు నేను పోట్లాడుట లేదు గాని ఒకవేళ ఇతరులకు ప్రకటించిన తరువాత నేనే భ్రష్టుడనై పోదునేమో అని నా శరీరమును నలగగొట్టి, దానిని లోపరచుకొనుచున్నాను.

27. But I treat my body roughly, and I bring it into subjection, lest, having preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
