1. సౌలు ఇంకను ప్రభువుయొక్క శిష్యులను బెదరించుటయును హత్యచేయుటయును తనకు ప్రాణాధారమైనట్టు ప్రధానయాజకునియొద్దకు వెళ్లి

1. (And) Saul yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

2. యీ మార్గ మందున్న పురుషులనైనను స్త్రీలనైనను కనుగొనిన యెడల, వారిని బంధించి యెరూషలేము నకు తీసికొని వచ్చుటకు దమస్కులోని సమాజముల వారికి పత్రికలిమ్మని అడిగెను.

2. and desired of him letters to Damasco, to the synagogues: that if he found any of this way whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3. అతడు ప్రయాణము చేయుచు దమస్కు దగ్గరకు వచ్చినప్పుడు, అకస్మాత్తుగా ఆకాశమునుండి యొక వెలుగు అతనిచుట్టు ప్రకాశించెను.

3. (But) As he went on his journey, it fortuned that he drew nigh to Damasco,(as he journeyed and was come nigh to Damasco) and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven.

4. అప్పుడతడు నేలమీదపడి సౌలా, సౌలా, నీవేల నన్ను హింసించుచున్నావని తనతో ఒక స్వరము పలుకుట వినెను.

4. And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying to him: Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

5. ప్రభువా, నీవెవడవని అతడడుగగా ఆయన నేను నీవు హింసించు చున్న యేసును;

5. And he said what art thou Lord? (And) The Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest, it shall be hard for thee to kick against the prick.

6. లేచి పట్టణములోనికి వెళ్లుము, అక్కడ నీవు ఏమి చేయవలెనో అది నీకు తెలుపబడునని చెప్పెను.

6. (And) He both trembling and astonied said: Lord what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him: Arise and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou shalt do.

7. అతనితో ప్రయాణము చేసిన మనుష్యులు ఆ స్వరము వినిరి గాని యెవనిని చూడక మౌనులై నిలువ బడిరి.

7. The men which accompanied(journeyed with) him on his way stood amazed, for they heard a voice, but saw no man.

8. సౌలు నేలమీదనుండి లేచి కన్నులు తెరచినను ఏమియు చూడలేక పోయెను గనుక వారతని చెయ్యి పట్టుకొని దమస్కులోనికి నడిపించిరి.

8. (And) Saul arose from the earth; And when he had opened his eyes he(but) saw no man. Then led they him by the hand, and brought him into Damasco.

9. అతడు మూడు దినములు చూపులేక అన్నపానము లేమియు పుచ్చుకొన కుండెను.

9. And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

10. దమస్కులో అననీయ అను ఒక శిష్యుడుండెను. ప్రభువు దర్శనమందు అననీయా, అని అతనిని పిలువగా

10. (And) There was a certain disciple at Damasco named Ananias, (and) to him said the Lord in a vision: Ananias. And he said: (behold) I am here Lord.

11. అతడు ప్రభువా, యిదిగో నేనున్నాననెను. అందుకు ప్రభువు నీవు లేచి, తిన్ననిదనబడిన వీధికి వెళ్లి, యూదా అనువాని యింట తార్సువాడైన సౌలు అనువానికొరకు విచారించుము; ఇదిగో అతడు ప్రార్థనచేయుచున్నాడు.

11. And the Lord said to him: arise and go into the street which is called straight, and seek in the house of Judas after one called Saul of the city of Tharsus. For behold he prayeth;

12. అతడు అననీయ అను నొక మనుష్యుడు లోపలికివచ్చి, తాను దృష్టిపొందునట్లు తలమీద చేతులుంచుట చూచి యున్నాడని చెప్పెను.

12. And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in unto him; And putting his hands on him, that he might receive his sight.

13. అందుకు అననీయ ప్రభువా, యీ మనుష్యుడు యెరూషలేములో నీ పరిశుద్ధులకు ఎంతో కీడు చేసి యున్నాడని అతనిగూర్చి అనేకులవలన వింటిని.

13. (Then) Ananias answered: Lord I have heard by many of this man, how much hurt(evil) he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

14. ఇక్కడను నీ నామమునుబట్టి ప్రార్థనచేయు వారినందరిని బంధించుటకు అతడు ప్రధానయాజకులవలన అధికారము పొంది యున్నాడని ఉత్తరమిచ్చెను.

14. and in this place(here) he hath authority of the high priests to bind all that call on thy name.

15. అందుకు ప్రభువునీవు వెళ్లుము, అన్యజనుల యెదుటను రాజుల యెదుటను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యెదుటను నా నామము భరించుటకు ఇతడు నేను ఏర్పరచుకొనిన సాధనమై యున్నాడు

15. The Lord said unto him: Go thy ways: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the gentiles, and kings and the children of Israel:

16. ఇతడు నా నామముకొరకు ఎన్ని శ్రమలను అనుభవింపవలెనో నేను ఇతనికి చూపుదునని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

16. For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

17. అననీయ వెళ్లి ఆ యింట ప్రవేశించి, అతని మీద చేతులుంచి సౌలా, సహోదరుడా నీవు వచ్చిన మార్గములో నీకు కనబడిన ప్రభువైన యేసు, నీవు దృష్టి పొంది, పరిశుద్ధాత్మతో నింపబడునట్లు నన్ను పంపి యున్నాడని చెప్పెను.

17. Ananias went his way and entered into the house and put his hands on him and said: brother Saul, the Lord that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight and be filled with the holy ghost.

18. అప్పుడే అతని కన్నులనుండి పొరలవంటివి రాలగా దృష్టికలిగి, లేచి బాప్తిస్మము పొందెను; తరువాత ఆహారము పుచ్చుకొని బలపడెను.

18. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales and he received his sight, and arose and was baptised.

19. పిమ్మట అతడు దమస్కులోనున్న శిష్యులతోకూడ కొన్ని దినములుండెను.

19. And received meat and was comforted. Then was Saul a certain days with the disciples which were at Damasco.

20. వెంటనే సమాజమందిరములలో యేసే దేవుని కుమారుడని ఆయనను గూర్చి ప్రకటించుచు వచ్చెను.

20. And straightway he preached Christ in the Synagogues how that he was the son of God.

21. వినినవారందరు విభ్రాంతినొంది, యెరూషలేములో ఈ నామమునుబట్టి ప్రార్థన చేయువారిని నాశనము చేసినవాడితడే కాడా? వారిని బంధించి ప్రధాన యాజకులయొద్దకు కొనిపోవుటకు ఇక్కడికికూడ వచ్చి యున్నాడని చెప్పు కొనిరి.

21. All that heard him were amazed and said: is not this he that spoiled them which called on this name in Jerusalem? And came hither for the intent that he should bring them bound unto the high priests?

22. అయితే సౌలు మరి ఎక్కువగా బలపడిఈయనే క్రీస్తు అని రుజువు పరచుచు దమస్కులో కాపురమున్న యూదులను కలవరపరచెను.

22. (But) Saul increased in strength; And confounded the jews which dwelt at Damasco affirming that this was very Christ.

23. అనేక దినములు గతించిన పిమ్మట యూదులు అతనిని చంపనాలోచింపగా

23. (And) After a good while, the jews took counsel (to gether) among themselves to kill him.

24. వారి ఆలోచన సౌలునకు తెలియ వచ్చెను. వారు అతని చంపవలెనని రాత్రింబగళ్లు ద్వార ములయొద్ద కాచుకొనుచుండిరి

24. But their layings wait were(was) known of Saul. And they watched at the gates day and night to kill him.

25. గనుక అతని శిష్యులు రాత్రివేళ అతనిని తీసికొని పోయి గంపలో ఉంచి, గోడగుండ అతనిని క్రిందికి దింపిరి.

25. Then the disciples took him by night, and put him thorow the wall and let him down in a basket.

26. అతడు యెరూషలేములోనికి వచ్చి శిష్యులతో కలిసి కొనుటకు యత్నముచేసెను గాని, అతడు శిష్యుడని నమ్మక అందరును అతనికి భయపడిరి.

26. (And) When Saul came(was come) to Jerusalem he assayed to couple himself with the disciples, and they were all afraid of him and believed not that he was a disciple.

27. అయితే బర్నబా అతనిని దగ్గరతీసి అపొస్తలుల యొద్దకు తోడుకొనివచ్చి అతడు త్రోవలో ప్రభువును చూచెననియు, ప్రభువు అతనితో మాటలాడెననియు, అతడు దమస్కులో యేసు నామమునుబట్టి ధైర్యముగా బోధించెననియు, వారికి వివరముగా తెలియపరచెను.

27. But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles and told(declared to) them how he had seen the Lord in the way and had spoken with him: and how he had done boldly at Damasco in the name of Jesu;

28. అతడు యెరూషలేములో వారితోకూడ వచ్చుచు పోవుచు,

28. And he had his conversation with them at Jerusalem,

29. ప్రభువు నామమునుబట్టి ధైర్యముగా బోధించుచు, గ్రీకు భాషను మాట్లాడు యూదులతో మాటలాడుచు తర్కించుచునుండెను.

29. and quit himself boldly in the name of the Lord Jesu. And he spake and disputed with the greeks and they went about to slay him.

30. వారు అతనిని చంప ప్రయత్నము చేసిరి గాని సహోదరులు దీనిని తెలిసికొని అతనిని కైసరయకు తోడు కొనివచ్చి తార్సునకు పంపిరి.

30. (But) When the brethren knew of that, they brought him to Cesarea, and sent him forth to Tharsus.

31. కావున యూదయ గలిలయ సమరయ దేశములందంతట సంఘము క్షేమాభివృద్ధినొందుచు సమాధానము కలిగియుండెను; మరియు ప్రభువునందు భయమును పరిశుద్ధాత్మ ఆదరణయు కలిగి నడుచుకొనుచు విస్తరించుచుండెను.

31. Then had the congregations rest thorowout all Jewry and Galilee and Samary, and were edified, and walked in the fear of the Lord; And multiplied by(filled with) the comfort of the holy ghost.

32. ఆ తరువాత పేతురు సకల ప్రదేశములలో సంచారము చేయుచు, లుద్దలో కాపురమున్న పరిశుద్ధులయొద్దకు వచ్చెను.

32. (And) It chanced that as Peter walked throughout all quarters, he came to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.

33. అక్కడ పక్షవాయువు కలిగి యెనిమిది ఏండ్లనుండి మంచము పట్టియుండిన ఐనెయ అను ఒక మనుష్యుని చూచి,

33. And there he found a certain man named Eneas, which had kept his bed eight year sick of the palsy.

34. పేతురు ఐనెయా, యేసు క్రీస్తు నిన్ను స్వస్థపరచుచున్నాడు, నీవు లేచి నీ పరుపు నీవే పరచుకొనుమని అతనితో చెప్పగా

34. Then said Peter unto him: Eneas, the Lord Jesus Christ make thee whole: Arise and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

35. వెంటనే అతడు లేచెను. లుద్దలోను షారోనులోను కాపురమున్నవారందరు అతనిచూచి ప్రభువుతట్టు తిరిగిరి.

35. And all that dwelt at Lydda and Assaron, saw him, and turned to the Lord.

36. మరియు యొప్పేలో తబితా అను ఒక శిష్యురాలు ఉండెను; ఆమెకు భాషాంతరమున దొర్కా అని పేరు. ఆమె సత్‌ క్రియలను ధర్మకార్యములను బహుగా చేసి యుండెను.

36. There was at Joppa a certain woman (which was a disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas) she(the same) was full of good works and alms deeds, which she did.

37. ఆ దినములయందామె కాయిలాపడి చనిపోగా, వారు శవమును కడిగి మేడ గదిలో పరుండ బెట్టిరి.

37. (And) It chanced in those days that she was sick and died. When they had washed her and laid her in a chamber:

38. లుద్ద యొప్పేకు దగ్గరగా ఉండుటచేత పేతురు అక్కడ ఉన్నాడని శిష్యులు విని, అతడు తడవుచేయక తమయొద్దకు రావలెనని వేడుకొనుటకు ఇద్దరు మనుష్యులను అతని యొద్దకు పంపిరి.

38. Because Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him, desiring him that he would not be grieved to come unto them.

39. పేతురు లేచి వారితోకూడ వెళ్లి అక్కడ చేరినప్పుడు, వారు మేడగదిలోనికి అతనిని తీసికొని వచ్చిరి; విధవరాండ్రందరు వచ్చి యేడ్చుచు, దొర్కా తమతోకూడ ఉన్నప్పుడు కుట్టిన అంగీలును వస్త్రములును చూపుచు అతని యెదుట నిలిచిరి.

39. Peter arose and came with them: (And) when he was come, they brought him into the chamber, and all the widows stood round about him weeping and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made while she was with them.

40. పేతురు అందరిని వెలుపలికి పంపి మోకాళ్లూని ప్రార్థనచేసి శవమువైపు తిరిగి తబితా, లెమ్మనగా ఆమె కన్నులు తెరచి పేతురును చూచి లేచి కూర్చుండెను.

40. (And) Peter put them all forth and kneeled down and prayed and turned him to the body, and said: Tabitha, arise. (And) She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

41. అతడామెకు చెయ్యి యిచ్చి లేవనెత్తి, పరిశుద్ధులను విధవరాండ్రను పిలిచి ఆమెను సజీవురాలనుగా వారికి అప్పగించెను.

41. And he gave her his(the) hand and lift her up, and called the saints and widows and shewed her alive.

42. ఇది యొప్పేయందంతట తెలిసినప్పుడు అనేకులు ప్రభువు నందు విశ్వాసముంచిరి.

42. And it was known thorow out all Joppa, and many believed on the Lord.

43. పేతురు యొప్పేలో సీమోనను ఒక చర్మకారునియొద్ద బహుదినములు నివసించెను.

43. And it fortuned that he tarried many days in(long season at) Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
