1. అననీయ అను ఒక మనుష్యుడు తన భార్యయైన సప్పీరాతో ఏకమై పొలమమ్మెను.

1. But there was a man named Ananias, who with his wife Sapphira sold some property that belonged to them.

2. భార్య యెరుకనే వాడు దాని వెలలో కొంత దాచుకొని కొంత తెచ్చి అపొస్తలుల పాదములయొద్ద పెట్టెను.

2. But with his wife's agreement he kept part of the money for himself and turned the rest over to the apostles.

3. అప్పుడు పేతురు అననీయా, నీ భూమి వెలలో కొంత దాచుకొని పరి శుద్ధాత్మను మోసపుచ్చుటకు సాతాను ఎందుకు నీ హృదయమును ప్రేరేపించెను. ?

3. Peter said to him, 'Ananias, why did you let Satan take control of you and make you lie to the Holy Spirit by keeping part of the money you received for the property?

4. అది నీయొద్ద నున్నపుడు నీదే గదా? అమ్మిన పిమ్మట అది నీ వశమై యుండలేదా? యెందుకు ఈ సంగతి నీ హృదయములో ఉద్దేశించు కొన్నావు? నీవు మనుష్యులతో కాదు దేవునితోనే అబద్ధమాడితివని వానితో చెప్పెను.

4. Before you sold the property, it belonged to you; and after you sold it, the money was yours. Why, then, did you decide to do such a thing? You have not lied to people---you have lied to God!'

5. అననీయ యీ మాటలు వినుచునే పడి ప్రాణము విడువగా వినినవారి కందరికిని మిగుల భయము కలిగెను;

5. As soon as Ananias heard this, he fell down dead; and all who heard about it were terrified.

6. అప్పుడు పడుచు వారు లేచి వానిని బట్టతో చుట్టి మోసికొనిపోయి పాతిపెట్టిరి.

6. The young men came in, wrapped up his body, carried him out, and buried him.

7. ఇంచుమించు మూడు గంటల సేపటికి వానిభార్య జరిగినది యెరుగక లోపలికి వచ్చెను.

7. About three hours later his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.

8. అప్పుడు పేతురుమీరు ఆ భూమిని ఇంతకే అమ్మితిరా నాతో చెప్పుమని ఆమెను అడిగెను. అందుకామె అవును ఇంతకే అని చెప్పెను.

8. Peter asked her, 'Tell me, was this the full amount you and your husband received for your property?' 'Yes,' she answered, 'the full amount.'

9. అందుకు పేతురు ప్రభువుయొక్క ఆత్మను శోధించుటకు మీరెందుకు ఏకీభవించితిరి? ఇదిగో నీ పెనిమిటిని పాతిపెట్టినవారి పాదములు వాకిటనే యున్నవి; వారు నిన్నును మోసికొని పోవుదురని ఆమెతొ చెప్పెను.

9. So Peter said to her, 'Why did you and your husband decide to put the Lord's Spirit to the test? The men who buried your husband are at the door right now, and they will carry you out too!'

10. వెంటనే ఆమె అతని పాదములయొద్ద పడి ప్రాణము విడిచెను. ఆ పడుచువారు, లోపలికి వచ్చి, ఆమె చనిపోయినది చూచి, ఆమెను మోసికొనిపోయి, ఆమె పెనిమిటియొద్ద పాతిపెట్టిరి.

10. At once she fell down at his feet and died. The young men came in and saw that she was dead, so they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.

11. సంఘమంతటికిని, ఈ సంగతులు వినినవారికందరికిని మిగుల భయము కలిగెను.

11. The whole church and all the others who heard of this were terrified.

12. ప్రజలమధ్య అనేకమైన సూచకక్రియలును మహ త్కార్యములును అపొస్తలులచేత చేయబడుచుండెను. మరియు వారందరు ఏకమనస్కులై సొలొమోను మంటప ములో ఉండిరి.

12. Many miracles and wonders were being performed among the people by the apostles. All the believers met together in Solomon's Porch.

13. కడమవారిలో ఎవడును వారితో కలిసి కొనుటకు తెగింపలేదు గాని

13. Nobody outside the group dared join them, even though the people spoke highly of them.

14. ప్రజలు వారిని ఘనపరచు చుండిరి. పురుషులును స్త్రీలును అనేకులు మరియెక్కువగ విశ్వాసులై ప్రభువు పక్షమున చేర్చబడిరి.

14. But more and more people were added to the group---a crowd of men and women who believed in the Lord.

15. అందు చేత పేతురు వచ్చుచుండగా జనులు రోగులను వీధులలోనికి తెచ్చి, వారిలో ఎవనిమీదనైనను అతని నీడయైనను పడవలెనని మంచములమీదను పరుపులమీదను వారిని ఉంచిరి.

15. As a result of what the apostles were doing, sick people were carried out into the streets and placed on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.

16. మరియు యెరూషలేము చుట్టునుండు పట్టణముల జనులు రోగులను అపవిత్రాత్మలచేత పీడింప బడిన వారిని మోసికొని కూడివచ్చిరి. వారందరు స్వస్థత పొందిరి.

16. And crowds of people came in from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing those who were sick or who had evil spirits in them; and they were all healed.

17. ప్రధానయాజకుడును అతనితో కూడ ఉన్నవారందరును, అనగా సద్దూకయ్యుల తెగవారు లేచి మత్సరముతో నిండుకొని

17. Then the High Priest and all his companions, members of the local party of the Sadducees, became extremely jealous of the apostles; so they decided to take action.

18. అపొస్తలులను బలాత్కారముగా పట్టుకొని పట్టణపు చెరసాలలో ఉంచిరి.

18. They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail.

19. అయితే ప్రభువు దూత రాత్రివేళ ఆ చెరసాల తలుపులు తీసి వారిని వెలుపలికి తీసికొని వచ్చిమీరు వెళ్లి దేవాలయములో నిలువబడి

19. But that night an angel of the Lord opened the prison gates, led the apostles out, and said to them,

20. ఈ జీవమునుగూర్చిన మాటలన్నియు ప్రజలతో చెప్పుడని వారితో అనెను.

20. 'Go and stand in the Temple, and tell the people all about this new life.'

21. వారామాట విని, తెల్లవారగానే దేవాలయములోనికి వెళ్లి బోధించుచుండిరి. ప్రధాన యాజకుడును అతనితోకూడ నున్న వారును వచ్చి, మహా సభవారిని ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలనందరిని పిలువనంపించివారిని తోడుకొని రండని బంట్రౌతులను చెరసాలకు పంపిరి.

21. The apostles obeyed, and at dawn they entered the Temple and started teaching. The High Priest and his companions called together all the Jewish elders for a full meeting of the Council; then they sent orders to the prison to have the apostles brought before them.

22. బంట్రౌతులు అక్కడికి వెళ్లినప్పుడు వారు చెరసాలలో కనబడనందున తిరిగివచ్చి

22. But when the officials arrived, they did not find the apostles in prison, so they returned to the Council and reported,

23. చెరసాల బహు భద్రముగా మూసియుండుటయు, కావలివారు తలుపుల ముందర నిలిచియుండుటయు చూచితివిు గాని తలుపులు తీసినప్పుడు లోపల మాకొకడైనను కనబడలేదని వారికి తెలిపిరి.

23. 'When we arrived at the jail, we found it locked up tight and all the guards on watch at the gates; but when we opened the gates, we found no one inside!'

24. అంతట దేవాలయపు అధిపతియు ప్రధాన యాజకులును ఆ మాటలు వినిఇది యేమవునో అని వారి విషయమై యెటుతోచక యుండిరి.

24. When the chief priests and the officer in charge of the Temple guards heard this, they wondered what had happened to the apostles.

25. అప్పుడు ఒకడు వచ్చిఇదిగో మీరు చెరసాలలో వేయించిన మనుష్యులు దేవాలయములో నిలిచి ప్రజలకు బోధించుచున్నారని వారికి తెలుపగా

25. Then a man came in and said to them, 'Listen! The men you put in prison are in the Temple teaching the people!'

26. అధిపతి బంట్రౌతులతో కూడ పోయి, ప్రజలు రాళ్లతో కొట్టుదురేమో అని భయపడి, బలాత్కారము చేయకయే వారిని తీసికొని వచ్చెను.

26. So the officer went off with his men and brought the apostles back. They did not use force, however, because they were afraid that the people might stone them.

27. వారిని తీసికొని వచ్చి సభలో నిలువబెట్టగా

27. They brought the apostles in, made them stand before the Council, and the High Priest questioned them.

28. ప్రధానయాజకుడు వారిని చూచిమీరు ఈ నామమునుబట్టి బోధింపకూడdదని మేము మీకు ఖండితముగా ఆజ్ఞాపింపలేదా? ఇదిగో మీరు యెరూషలేమును మీ బోధతో నింపి, యీ మనుష్యుని హత్య మామీదికి తేవలెనని ఉద్దేశించుచున్నారని చెప్పెను.

28. We gave you strict orders not to teach in the name of this man,' he said; 'but see what you have done! You have spread your teaching all over Jerusalem, and you want to make us responsible for his death!'

29. అందుకు పేతురును అపొస్తలులునుమనుష్యలకు కాదు దేవునికే మేము లోబడవలెను గదా.

29. Peter and the other apostles answered, 'We must obey God, not men.

30. మీరు మ్రానున వ్రేలాడవేసి సంహరించిన యేసును మన పితరుల దేవుడు లేపెను.
ద్వితీయోపదేశకాండము 21:22-23

30. The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from death, after you had killed him by nailing him to a cross.

31. ఇశ్రాయేలునకు మారుమనస్సును పాప క్షమాపణను దయచేయుటకై దేవుడాయనను అధిపతిని గాను రక్షకునిగాను తన దక్షిణహస్తబలముచేత హెచ్చించి యున్నాడు.

31. God raised him to his right side as Leader and Savior, to give the people of Israel the opportunity to repent and have their sins forgiven.

32. మేమును, దేవుడు తనకు విధేయులైన వారికి అనుగ్రహించిన పరిశుద్ధాత్మయు, ఈ సంగతులకు సాక్షులమై యున్నామని చెప్పిరి.

32. We are witnesses to these things---we and the Holy Spirit, who is God's gift to those who obey him.'

33. వారు ఈ మాట విని అత్యాగ్రహము తెచ్చుకొని వీరిని చంప నుద్దేశించగా

33. When the members of the Council heard this, they were so furious that they wanted to have the apostles put to death.

34. సమస్త ప్రజలవలన ఘనత నొందినవాడును ధర్మశాస్త్రోపదేశకుడునైన గమలీయేలను ఒక పరిసయ్యుడు మహాసభలో లేచిఈ మనుష్యులను కొంత సేపు వెలుపల ఉంచుడని ఆజ్ఞాపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెను

34. But one of them, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, who was a teacher of the Law and was highly respected by all the people, stood up in the Council. He ordered the apostles to be taken out for a while,

35. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, యీ మనుష్యుల విషయమై మీరేమి చేయబోవుచున్నారో జాగ్రత్తసుమండి.

35. and then he said to the Council, 'Fellow Israelites, be careful what you do to these men.

36. ఈ దినములకు మునుపు థూదా లేచి తానొక గొప్ప వాడనని చెప్పుకొనెను; ఇంచుమించు నన్నూరుమంది మనుష్యులు వానితో కలిసి కొనిరి, వాడు చంపబడెను, వానికి లోబడిన వారందరును చెదరి వ్యర్థులైరి.

36. You remember that Theudas appeared some time ago, claiming to be somebody great, and about four hundred men joined him. But he was killed, all his followers were scattered, and his movement died out.

37. వానికి తరువాత జనసంఖ్య దినములలో గలిలయుడైన యూదా అను ఒకడు వచ్చి, ప్రజలను తనతో కూడ తిరుగుబాటుచేయ ప్రేరేపించెను; వాడుకూడ నశించెను, వానికి లోబడినవారందరును చెదరి పోయిరి.

37. After that, Judas the Galilean appeared during the time of the census; he drew a crowd after him, but he also was killed, and all his followers were scattered.

38. కాబట్టి నేను మీతో చెప్పునదేమనగా ఈ మనుష్యుల జోలికి పోక వారిని విడిచిపెట్టుడి. ఈ ఆలోచనయైనను ఈ కార్యమైనను మనుష్యులవలన కలిగిన దాయెనా అది వ్యర్థమగును.

38. And so in this case, I tell you, do not take any action against these men. Leave them alone! If what they have planned and done is of human origin, it will disappear,

39. దేవునివలన కలిగినదాయెనా మీరు వారిని వ్యర్థపరచలేరు; మీరొకవేళ దేవునితో పోరాడువారవుదురు సుమీ.

39. but if it comes from God, you cannot possibly defeat them. You could find yourselves fighting against God!' The Council followed Gamaliel's advice.

40. వారతని మాటకు సమ్మతించి, అపొస్తలులను పిలిపించి కొట్టించియేసు నామమునుబట్టి బోధింపకూడదని ఆజ్ఞాపించి వారిని విడుదల చేసిరి.

40. They called the apostles in, had them whipped, and ordered them never again to speak in the name of Jesus; and then they set them free.

41. ఆ నామముకొరకు అవమానము పొందుటకు పాత్రులని యెంచబడినందున వారు సంతోషించుచు మహాసభ యెదుటనుండి వెళ్లిపోయి

41. As the apostles left the Council, they were happy, because God had considered them worthy to suffer disgrace for the sake of Jesus.

42. ప్రతిదినము దేవాలయములోను ఇంటింటను మానక బోధించుచు, యేసే క్రీస్తని ప్రకటించుచుండిరి.

42. And every day in the Temple and in people's homes they continued to teach and preach the Good News about Jesus the Messiah.
