1. అన్యజనులును దేవుని వాక్యమంగీకరించిరని అపొస్తలులును యూదయ యందంతటనున్న సహోదరులును వినిరి.

1. Now the Apostles and the brethren who were throughout Judaea heard that, the nations also, had welcomed the word of God.

2. పేతురు యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చినప్పుడు సున్నతి పొందినవారు

2. And, when Peter came up unto Jerusalem, they of the circumcision began to find fault with him,

3. నీవు సున్నతి పొందనివారియొద్దకు పోయి వారితోకూడ భోజనము చేసితివని అతనితో వాదము పెట్టుకొనిరి.

3. Saying he went in unto men uncircumcised, and did eat with them.

4. అందుకు పేతురు మొదటనుండి వరుసగా వారికి ఆ సంగతి ఈలాగు వివరించి చెప్పెను

4. But Peter, making a beginning, went on to set forth the matter unto them in order, saying

5. నేను యొప్పే పట్టణములో ప్రార్థనచేయుచుండగా పరవశుడనైతిని, అప్పుడొక దర్శనము నాకు కలిగెను; అది ఏదనగా నాలుగు చెంగులు పట్టి దింపబడిన పెద్ద దుప్పటివంటి యొక విధమైన పాత్ర ఆకాశమునుండి దిగి నాయొద్దకు వచ్చెను.

5. I was in the city of Joppa praying, and saw in a trance, a vision: coming down a sort of vessel, like a large sheet, by four corners, being let down out of heaven, and it came even unto me:

6. దానివైపు నేను తేరి చూచి పరీక్షింపగా భూమియందుండు చతుష్పాద జంతువులును అడవి మృగములును ప్రాకెడు పురుగులును ఆకాశపక్షులును నాకు కనబడెను.

6. Into which steadfastly looking, began to observe, and saw the quadrupeds of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the creeping things, and the birds of heaven.

7. అప్పుడు పేతురూ, నీవు లేచి చంపుకొని తినుమని యొక శబ్దము నాతో చెప్పుట వింటిని.

7. Moreover heard a voice also, saying unto me Rise, Peter! slay and eat.

8. అందుకు నేనువద్దు ప్రభువా, నిషిద్ధమైనది అపవిత్రమైనది ఏదియు నా నోట ఎన్నడును పడలేదని చెప్పగా

8. But I said By no means, Lord, because, a common or unclean thing, hath at no time entered into my mouth.

9. రెండవమారు ఆ శబ్దము ఆకాశము నుండిదేవుడు పవిత్రము చేసినవి నీవు నిషిద్ధమైనవిగా ఎంచవద్దని ఉత్తరమిచ్చెను.

9. And a voice answered, a second time, out of heaven What things, God, hath cleansed, be not, thou, making common.

10. ఈలాగు ముమ్మారు జరిగెను; తరువాత అదంతయు ఆకాశమునకు తిరిగి తీసికొని పోబడెను.

10. And, this, took place thrice, and the whole was drawn up again into heaven;

11. వెంటనే కైసరయనుండి నాయొద్దకు పంపబడిన ముగ్గురు మనుష్యులు మేమున్న యింటియొద్ద నిలిచి యుండిరి.

11. And lo! immediately, three men halted at the house wherein we were, sent from Caesarea unto me.

12. అప్పుడు ఆత్మనీవు భేదమేమియు చేయక వారితో కూడ వెళ్లుమని నాకు సెలవిచ్చెను. ఈ ఆరుగురు సహోదరులు నాతోకూడ వచ్చిరి; మేము కొర్నేలి యింట ప్రవేశించితివిు.

12. And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. And there went with me these six brethren also; and we entered into the house of the man,

13. అప్పుడతడునీవు యొప్పేకు మనుష్యు లను పంపి పేతురు అను మారుపేరుగల సీమోనును పిలి పించుము;

13. And he related to us how he had seen the messenger in his house, standing, and saying Send away unto Joppa, and fetch Simon, who is surnamed Peter;

14. నీవును నీ యింటివారందరును ఏ మాటలవలన రక్షణ పొందుదురో ఆ మాటలు అతడు నీతో చెప్పునని, తన యింట నిలిచి తనతో చెప్పిన యొక దేవదూతను చూచిన సంగతి మాకు తెలిపెను.

14. Who shall speak words unto thee, whereby thou shall be saved, thou, and all thy house.

15. నేను మాటలాడ నారంభించినప్పుడు పరిశుద్ధాత్మ మొదట మన మీదికి దిగిన ప్రకారము వారి మీదికిని దిగెను.

15. And, as I began to be speaking, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as upon us also at the beginning.

16. అప్పుడుయోహాను నీళ్లతో బాప్తిస్మమిచ్చెను గాని మీరు పరిశుద్ధాత్మలో బాప్తి స్మము పొందుదురని ప్రభువు చెప్పినమాట నేను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొంటిని.

16. And I was put in mind of the word of the Lord, how he used to say John, indeed, immersed with water; but, ye, shall be immersed in Holy Spirit.

17. కాబట్టి ప్రభువైన యేసు క్రీస్తునందు విశ్వాసముంచిన మనకు అనుగ్రహించినట్టు దేవుడు వారికి కూడ సమానవరము అనుగ్రహించి యుండగా, దేవుని అడ్డగించుటకు నేను ఏపాటివాడనని చెప్పెను.

17. If therefore the like free-gift God gave unto them, as even unto us, when we had believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ, who was, I, that could withstand God?

18. వారు ఈ మాటలు విని మరేమి అడ్డము చెప్పక అట్లయితే అన్య జనులకును దేవుడు జీవార్థమైన మారుమనస్సు దయచేసి యున్నాడని చెప్పుకొనుచు దేవుని మహిమ పరచిరి.

18. And, having heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying Hence, even unto the nations, God hath granted repentance unto life.

19. స్తెఫను విషయములో కలిగిన శ్రమనుబట్టి చెదరి పోయినవారు యూదులకు తప్ప మరి ఎవనికిని వాక్యము బోధింపక, ఫేనీకే, కుప్ర, అంతియొకయ ప్రదేశములవరకు సంచరించిరి.

19. They, therefore, who had been scattered abroad by reason of the tribulation that took place on account of Stephen, passed through as far as Phoenice and Cyprus and Antioch, unto no one speaking the word, save alone unto Jews.

20. కుప్రీయులు కొందరును కురేనీయులు కొందరును వారిలో ఉండిరి. వీరు అంతియొకయకు వచ్చి గ్రీసు దేశపువారితో మాటలాడుచు ప్రభువైన యేసును గూర్చిన సువార్త ప్రకటించిరి;

20. And there were some from among them, Cyprians and Cyrenians, who, indeed, coming unto Antioch, began speaking, even unto the Grecian Jews, announcing the glad tidings as to the Lord Jesus;

21. ప్రభువు హస్తము వారికి తోడైయుండెను గనుక నమ్మిన వారనేకులు ప్రభువుతట్టు తిరిగిరి.

21. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number they who believed turned unto the Lord.

22. వారినిగూర్చిన సమాచారము యెరూషలేములో నున్న సంఘపువారు విని బర్నబాను అంతియొకయవరకు పంపిరి.

22. And the matter was reported in the hearing of the assembly that was in Jerusalem, concerning them; and they sent forth Barnabas, as far as Antioch;

23. అతడు వచ్చి దేవుని కృపను చూచి సంతోషించి, ప్రభువును స్థిరహృదయముతో హత్తుకొనవలెనని అందరిని హెచ్చరించెను.

23. Who, arriving, and seeing the favour which was of God, rejoiced, and went on to beseech all, with the purpose of their heart, to abide in the Lord;

24. అతడు పరిశుద్ధాత్మతోను విశ్వా సముతోను నిండుకొనిన సత్పురుషుడు; బహు జనులు ప్రభువు పక్షమున చేరిరి.

24. Because he was a good man, and full of Holy Spirit and faith; and a considerable multitude were added unto the Lord.

25. అంతట అతడు సౌలును వెదకుటకు తార్సునకు వెళ్లి అతనిని కనుగొని అంతియొకయకు తోడుకొని వచ్చెను.

25. He went away, however, unto Tarsus, to seek up Saul;

26. వారు కలిసి యొక సంవత్సర మంతయు సంఘములో ఉండి బహుజనములకు వాక్యమును బోధించిరి. మొట్టమొదట అంతియొకయలో శిష్యులు క్రైస్తవులనబడిరి.

26. And, finding him, he brought him unto Antioch. And so it was with them, that, for a whole year, they were brought together in the assembly, and taught a considerable multitude; also that the disciples, first in Antioch, were called, Christians.

27. ఆ దినములయందు ప్రవక్తలు యెరూషలేమునుండి అంతియొకయకు వచ్చిరి.

27. Now, in these days, there came down from Jerusalem, prophets, unto Antioch.

28. వారిలో అగబు అను ఒకడు నిలువబడి, భూలోకమంతట గొప్ప కరవు రాబోవుచున్నదని ఆత్మ ద్వారా సూచించెను. అది క్లౌదియ చక్రవర్తి కాలమందు సంభవించెను.

28. And one from among them, by name Agabus, rising up, gave a sign, through means of the Spirit, that, a great famine, was coming over all the inhabited earth; which, indeed, came to pass under Claudius.

29. అప్పుడు శిష్యులలో ప్రతి వాడును తన తన శక్తికొలది యూదయలో కాపురమున్న సహోదరులకు సహాయము పుంపుటకు నిశ్చయించుకొనెను.

29. And, according as any one of the disciples was being prospered, they each one of them set apart something for ministering, to send unto the brethren, who dwelt in Jerusalem;

30. ఆలాగున చేసి బర్నబా సౌలు అను వారిచేత పెద్దల యొద్దకు దానిని పంపిరి.

30. Which thing they also did, sending it unto the Elders, through the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
