1. ఆయన తన మాటలన్నియు ప్రజలకు సంపూర్తిగా వినిపించిన తరువాత కపెర్నహూములోనికి వచ్చెను.

1. When he had ended all his sayinges, in the audience of the people, he entred into Capernaum.

2. ఒక శతాధిపతికి ప్రియుడైన దాసుడొకడు రోగియై చావ సిద్ధమైయుండెను.

2. And a certayne Centurions seruaunt, which was deare vnto hym, lay sicke, and was in peryll of death.

3. శతాధిపతి యేసునుగూర్చి విని, ఆయన వచ్చి తన దాసుని స్వస్థపరచవలెనని ఆయనను వేడుకొనుటకు యూదుల పెద్దలను ఆయన యొద్దకు పంపెను.

3. And when he hearde of Iesus, he sent vnto hym the elders of the Iewes, besechyng hym that he woulde come, and heale his seruaunt.

4. వారు యేసునొద్దకు వచ్చినీవలన ఈ మేలు పొందుటకు అతడు యోగ్యుడు;

4. And when they came to Iesus, they besought hym instantly, saying he is worthy that thou shouldest do this for hym.

5. అతడు మన జనులను ప్రేమించి మనకు సమాజమందిరము తానే కట్టించెనని ఆయనతో చెప్పి మిక్కిలి బతిమాలు కొనిరి.

5. For he loueth our nation, and hath built vs a synagogue.

6. కావున యేసు వారితో కూడ వెళ్లెను. ఆయన ఆ యింటిదగ్గరకు వచ్చినప్పుడు శతాధిపతి తన స్నేహితులను చూచిమీ రాయనయొద్దకు వెళ్లిప్రభువా, శ్రమ పుచ్చుకొనవద్దు; నీవు నా యింటిలోనికి వచ్చుటకు నేను పాత్రుడనుకాను.

6. Then Iesus went with them. And when he was nowe not farre from the house, the Centurion sent friendes to hym, saying vnto hym: Lorde, trouble not thy selfe, for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter vnder my roofe.

7. అందుచేత నీయొద్దకు వచ్చుటకు పాత్రుడనని నేను ఎంచకొనలేదు; అయితే మాటమాత్రము సెలవిమ్ము, అప్పుడు నా దాసుడు స్వస్థపరచబడును,

7. Wherefore I thought not my selfe worthy to come vnto thee: but say thou the worde, & my seruaunt shalbe whole.

8. నేను సహా అధికారమునకు లోబడినవాడను; నా చేతిక్రిందను సైనికులు ఉన్నారు; నేనొకని పొమ్మంటె పోవును, ఒకని రమ్మంటె వచ్చును, నాదాసుని చేయుమంటే ఇది చేయునని నేను చెప్పినట్టు ఆయనతో చెప్పుడని వారిని పంపెను.

8. For I also am a man, set vnder power, and haue vnder me souldiers: and I say vnto one go, and he goeth: and to another, come, and he commeth: and to my seruaunt, do this, and he doth it.

9. యేసు ఈ మాటలు విని, అతనిగూర్చి ఆశ్చర్యపడి, తనవెంట వచ్చుచున్న జనసమూహము వైపు తిరిగి ఇశ్రాయేలులో నైనను ఇంత గొప్ప విశ్వాసము నేను చూడలేదని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాననెను.

9. When Iesus hearde these thynges, he marueyled at hym, and turned hym about, and sayde to the people that folowed hym: I say vnto you, I haue not founde so great fayth, no, not in Israel.

10. పంపబడిన వారు ఇంటికి తిరిగివచ్చి, ఆ దాసుడు స్వస్థుడై యుండుట కనుగొనిరి.

10. And they that were sent, turned backe home agayne, and founde the seruaunt whole, that had ben sicke.

11. వెంటనే ఆయన నాయీనను ఒక ఊరికి వెళ్లు చుండగా, ఆయన శిష్యులును బహు జనసమూహమును ఆయనతో కూడ వెళ్లుచుండిరి.

11. And it came to passe the [day] after, that he went into a citie, which is called Naim: and many of his disciples went with hym, and much people.

12. ఆయన ఆ ఊరి గవినియొద్దకు వచ్చి నప్పుడు, చనిపోయిన యొకడు వెలుపలికి మోసికొని పోబడుచుండెను; అతని తల్లికి అతడొక్కడే కుమారుడు, ఆమె విధవరాలు; ఆ ఊరి జనులు అనేకులు ఆమెతో కూడ ఉండిరి.

12. When he came nye to the gate of the citie, beholde, there was a dead man caryed out, [which was] the only sonne of his mother, and she was a widdowe: And much people of the citie was with her.

13. ప్రభువు ఆమెను చూచి ఆమెయందుకనికరపడి - ఏడువవద్దని ఆమెతో చెప్పి, దగ్గరకు వచ్చి పాడెను ముట్టగా మోయుచున్నవారు నిలిచిరి.

13. And when the Lorde sawe her, he had compassion on her, and sayde vnto her: Weepe not.

14. ఆయన చిన్నవాడా, లెమ్మని నీతో చెప్పుచున్నాననగా

14. And he came nye, & touched the beere, (and they that bare hym stoode styll) And he sayde: Young man, I say vnto thee, aryse.

15. ఆ చనిపోయిన వాడు లేచి కూర్చుండి మాటలాడసాగెను; ఆయన అతనిని అతని తల్లికి అప్పగించెను.

15. And he that was dead, sate vp, and began to speake: And he delyuered hym to his mother.

16. అందరు భయాక్రాంతులై మనలో గొప్ప ప్రవక్త బయలుదేరి యున్నాడనియు, దేవుడు తన ప్రజలకు దర్శనమను గ్రహించి యున్నాడనియు దేవుని మహిమపరచిరి.

16. And there came a feare on them all, & they gaue the glory vnto God, saying: A great prophete is risen vp among vs, and veryly God hath visited his people.

17. ఆయననుగూర్చిన యీ సమాచారము యూదయ యందంతటను చుట్టుపట్ల ప్రదేశమందంతటను వ్యాపించెను.

17. And this rumour of hym went foorth throughout all Iurie, & throughout all the regions which lye rounde about.

18. యోహాను శిష్యులు ఈ సంగతులన్నియు అతనికి తెలియజేసిరి.

18. And the disciples of Iohn, shewed hym of all these thynges.

19. అంతట యోహాను తన శిష్యులలో ఇద్దరిని పిలిచి రాబోవువాడవు నీవేనా? మేము మరియొకని కొరకు కనిపెట్టవలెనా? అని అడుగుటకు వారిని ప్రభువు నొద్దకు పంపెను.

19. And Iohn called vnto hym two of his disciples, and sent them to Iesus, saying: Art thou he that shoulde come, or shall we loke for another?

20. ఆ మనుష్యులు ఆయనయొద్దకు వచ్చి రాబోవువాడవు నీవేనా? లేక మరియొకనికొరకు మేము కనిపెట్టవలెనా? అని అడుగు టకు బాప్తిస్మమిచ్చు యోహాను మమ్మును నీయొద్దకు పంపెనని చెప్పిరి.

20. When the men were come vnto hym, they sayde, Iohn Baptiste sent vs vnto thee, saying: Art thou he that shoulde come, or shall we loke for another?

21. ఆ గడియలోనే ఆయన రోగములును, బాధలును, అపవిత్రాత్మలునుగల అనేకులను స్వస్థపరచి, చాలమంది గ్రుడ్డివారికి చూపు దయ చేసెను.

21. And in that same houre, he cured manye of their infirmities & plagues, and of euyll spirites, and vnto many that were blynde, he gaue sight.

22. అప్పుడాయన మీరు వెళ్లి, కన్నవాటిని విన్న వాటిని యోహానుకు తెలుపుడి. గ్రుడ్డివారు చూపు పొందు చున్నారు, కుంటివారు నడుచుచున్నారు, కుష్ఠ రోగులు శుద్ధులగుచున్నారు, చెవిటివారు వినుచున్నారు, చనిపోయినవారు లేపబడుచున్నారు, బీదలకు సువార్త ప్రక టింపబడుచున్నది;

22. Then Iesus aunswered, and sayde vnto them: Go your way, and bryng worde agayne to Iohn, what thynges ye haue seene and hearde, howe that the blynde see, the halt go, the lepers are clensed, the deafe heare, the dead ryse agayne, to the poore is the Gospell preached,

23. నా విషయమై అభ్యంతరపడని వాడు ధన్యుడనివారికి ఉత్తరమిచ్చెను.

23. And happy is he, that is not offended at me.

24. యోహాను దూతలు వెళ్లిన తరువాత, ఆయన యోహానునుగూర్చి జనసమూహములతో ఈలాగు చెప్పసాగెనుమీరేమి చూచుటకు అరణ్యములోనికి వెళ్లితిరి? గాలికి కదలుచున్న రెల్లునా?

24. And when the messengers of Iohn were departed, he began to speake vnto the people concernyng Iohn: What went ye out into the wildernesse for to see? a reede shaken with the wynde?

25. మరేమి చూడ వెళ్లితిరి? సన్నపు బట్టలు ధరించుకొనిన వానినా? ఇదిగో ప్రశస్తవస్త్రములు ధరించుకొని, సుఖముగా జీవించువారు రాజగృహములలో ఉందురు.

25. But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft rayment? Beholde, they which are gorgeously appareled, & lyue delicately, are in kynges courtes.

26. అయితే మరేమి చూడవెళ్లితిరి? ప్రవక్తనా? అవునుగాని ప్రవక్తకంటె గొప్పవానినని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.

26. But what went ye foorth to see? A prophete? Yea, I say to you, and more then a prophete.

27. ఇదిగో నేను నా దూతను నీకు ముందుగా పంపు చున్నాను, అతడు నీ ముందర నీ మార్గము సిద్ధ పరచును అని యెవరినిగూర్చి వ్రాయబడెనో అతడే యీ యోహాను.

27. This is he, of whom it is written: Beholde, I sende my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

28. స్త్రీలు కనినవారిలో యోహానుకంటె గొప్పవాడెవడును లేడు. అయినను దేవుని రాజ్యములో అల్పుడైనవాడు అతనికంటె గొప్పవాడని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.

28. For I say vnto you, among womens chyldren, is there not a greater prophete then Iohn Baptist. Neuerthesse, he that is lesse in the kyngdome of God, is greater then he.

29. ప్రజలందరును సుంకరులును (యోహాను బోధ) విని, అతడిచ్చిన బాప్తిస్మము పొందినవారై, దేవుడు న్యాయవంతుడని యొప్పుకొనిరి గాని

29. And all the people, and the publicanes that hearde hym, iustified God, and were baptized with the baptisme of Iohn.

30. పరిసయ్యులును ధర్మశాస్త్రోపదేశకులును అతనిచేత బాప్తిస్మము పొందక, తమ విషయమైన దేవుని సంకల్పమును నిరాకరించిరి.

30. But the pharisees and lawyers despised the councel of God, agaynst them selues, and were not baptized of hym.

31. కాబట్టి యీ తరము మనుష్యులను నేను దేనితో పోల్చు దును, వారు దేనిని పోలియున్నారు?

31. And the Lorde sayde: Whervnto shall I lyken the men of this generation? and what [thyng] are they lyke?

32. సంతవీధులలో కూర్చుండియుండి మీకు పిల్లనగ్రోవి ఊదితివిు గాని మీరు నాట్యమాడరైతిరి; ప్రలాపించితివిు గాని మీరేడ్వ రైతిరి అని యొకనితో ఒకడు చెప్పుకొని పిలుపులాట లాడుకొను పిల్లకాయలను పోలియున్నారు.

32. They are lyke vnto chyldren, sittyng in the market place, and crying one to another, and saying: We haue pyped vnto you, and ye haue not daunsed: We haue mourned to you, and ye haue not wept.

33. బాప్తిస్మ మిచ్చు యోహాను, రొట్టె తినకయు ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగ కయు వచ్చెను గనుకవీడు దయ్యముపట్టినవాడని మీ రనుచున్నారు.

33. For Iohn Baptist came, neither eatyng bread nor drynkyng wyne, and ye say he hath the deuyll.

34. మనుష్య కుమారుడు తినుచును, త్రాగుచును వచ్చెను గనుక మీరుఇదిగో వీడు తిండిపోతును మద్యపానియు, సుంకరులకును పాపులకును స్నేహితు డును అను చున్నారు.

34. The sonne of man is come, and eateth and drynketh, and ye saye, beholde a gluttonous man, and an [vnmeasurable] drynker of wyne, a frende of publicanes and sinners.

35. అయినను జ్ఞానము జ్ఞానమని దాని సంబంధులందరినిబట్టి తీర్పుపొందుననెను.

35. And wisdome is iustified of all her chyldren.

36. పరిసయ్యులలో ఒకడు తనతో కూడ భోజనము చేయవలెనని ఆయననడిగెను. ఆయన ఆ పరిసయ్యుని యింటికి వెళ్లి, భోజనపంక్తిని కూర్చుండగా

36. And one of the pharisees desired hym, that he woulde eate with hym. And he went into the pharisees house, and sate downe to meate.

37. ఆ ఊరిలో ఉన్న పాపాత్మురాలైన యొక స్త్రీ, యేసు పరిసయ్యుని యింట భోజనమునకు కూర్చున్నాడని తెలిసికొని, యొక బుడ్డిలో అత్తరు తీసికొనివచ్చి

37. And beholde, a woman in that citie, which was a sinner, assoone as she knewe that Iesus sate at meate in the pharisees house, she brought an alabaster boxe of oyntment:

38. వెనుకతట్టు ఆయన పాదములయొద్ద నిలువబడి, యేడ్చుచు కన్నీళ్లతో ఆయన పాదములను తడిపి, తన తలవెండ్రుకలతో తుడిచి, ఆయన పాదములను ముద్దుపెట్టుకొని, ఆ అత్తరు వాటికి పూసెను.

38. And stoode at his feete behynde hym, weepyng, and began to washe his feete with teares, & dyd wype them with the heeres of her head, and kyssed his feete, and anoynted them with the oyntment.

39. ఆయనను పిలిచిన పరిసయ్యుడు అది చూచిఈయన ప్రవక్తయైన యెడల తన్ను ముట్టుకొనిన యీ స్త్రీ ఎవతెయో ఎటువంటిదో యెరిగియుండును; ఇది పాపాత్ము రాలు అని తనలో తాననుకొనెను.

39. When the pharisee which had bydden hym, sawe, he spake within hym selfe, saying: If this man were a prophete, he woulde surely knowe who, & what maner of woman this is, that touched hym, for she is a sinner.

40. అందుకు యేసుసీమోనూ, నీతో ఒక మాట చెప్పవలెనని యున్నానని అతనితో అనగా అతడుబోధకుడా, చెప్పుమనెను.

40. And Iesus aunswered, and sayde vnto hym: Simon, I haue somewhat to say vnto thee. And he sayde: Maister, say on.

41. అప్పుడు యేసు అప్పు ఇచ్చు ఒకనికి ఇద్దరు ఋణస్థు లుండిరి. వారిలో ఒకడు ఐదువందల దేనారములును మరియొకడు ఏబది దేనారములును అచ్చియుండిరి.

41. There was a certayne lender, which had two detters: The one ought fyue hundred pence, and the other fyftie.

42. ఆ అప్పు తీర్చుటకు వారియొద్ద ఏమియు లేకపోయెను గనుక అతడు వారిద్దరిని క్షమించెను. కాబట్టి వీరిలో ఎవడు అతని ఎక్కువగా ప్రేమించునో చెప్పుమని అడిగెను.

42. When they had nothyng to pay, he forgaue them both. Tell me therefore, which of them wyll loue hym most?

43. అందుకు సీమోను అతడెవనికి ఎక్కువ క్షమించెనో వాడే అని నాకుతోచుచున్నదని చెప్పగా ఆయననీవు సరిగా యోచించితివని అతనితో చెప్పి

43. Simon aunswered and sayde: I suppose, that he to whom he forgaue most. And he sayde vnto hym: Thou haste truely iudged.

44. ఆ స్త్రీ వైపు తిరిగి, సీమోనుతో ఇట్లనెను ఈ స్త్రీని చూచుచున్నానే, నేను నీ యింటిలోనికి రాగా నీవు నా పాదములకు నీళ్లియ్య లేదు గాని, యీమె తన కన్నీళ్లతో నా పాదములను తడిపి తన తలవెండ్రుకలతో తుడిచెను.

44. And he turned to the woman, & sayde vnto Simon: Seest thou this woman? I entred into thyne house, thou gauest me no water for my feete, but she hath wasshed my feete with teares, & wyped them with the heeres of her head.

45. నీవు నన్ను ముద్దుపెట్టుకొనలేదు గాని, నేను లోపలికి వచ్చి నప్పటి నుండి యీమె నా పాదములు ముద్దుపెట్టు కొనుట మాన లేదు.

45. Thou gauest me no kysse: but she, sence the tyme I came in, hath not ceassed to kysse my feete.

46. నీవు నూనెతో నా తల అంటలేదు గాని ఈమె నా పాదములకు అత్తరు పూసెను.

46. Myne head with oyle thou dyddest not anoynt: but she hath anoynted my feete with oyntment.

47. ఆమె విస్తారముగా ప్రేమించెను గనుక ఆమెయొక్క విస్తార పాపములు క్షమించబడెనని నీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను. ఎవనికి కొంచె ముగా క్షమింపబడునో, వాడు కొంచెముగా ప్రేమించునని చెప్పి

47. Wherfore I say vnto thee, many sinnes are forgeuen her: for she loued much. To whom lesse is forgeuen, the same doth lesse loue.

48. నీ పాపములు క్షమింప బడియున్నవి అని ఆమెతో అనెను.

48. And he sayde vnto her: thy sinnes are forgeuen thee.

49. అప్పుడాయనతో కూడ భోజన పంక్తిని కూర్చుండిన వారుపాపములు క్షమించుచున్న యితడెవడని తమలోతాము అను కొనసాగిరి.

49. And they that sate at meate with hym, began to say within them selues, Who is this that forgeueth sinnes also?

50. అందుకాయన నీ విశ్వాసము నిన్ను రక్షించెను, సమాధానము గలదానవై వెళ్లుమని ఆ స్త్రీతో చెప్పెను.

50. And he sayde to the woman: Thy fayth hath saued thee, go in peace.
