1. ఆయన సంచరించుచు యెరికో పట్టణములో ప్రవే శించి

1. And he entered in, and went thorow Jericho.(Hericho)

2. దానిగుండా పోవుచుండెను. ఇదిగో సుంకపు గుత్తదారుడును ధనవంతుడునైన జక్కయ్య అను పేరుగల ఒకడు

2. And behold, there was a man named Zacheus, which was a ruler among the publicans, and (was) rich also.

3. యేసు ఎవరోయని చూడగోరెనుగాని, పొట్టి వాడైనందున జనులు గుంపుకూడి యుండుట వలన చూడ లేకపోయెను.

3. And he made means(and desired) to see Jesus, what he should be: and he could not for the press, because he was of a low stature.

4. అప్పుడు యేసు ఆ త్రోవను రానై యుండెను గనుక అతడు ముందుగా పరుగెత్తి, ఆయనను చూచుటకు ఒక మేడి చెట్టెక్కెను.

4. And(Wherefore) he ran before, and ascended(climbed) up, into a sycomore tree,(wild fig tree) to see him. For he would(should) come that same way.

5. యేసు ఆ చోటికి వచ్చినప్పుడు, కన్నులెత్తి చూచి జక్కయ్యా త్వరగా దిగుము, నేడు నేను నీ యింట నుండవలసియున్నదని అతనితో చెప్పగా

5. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him: Zache, at once come down,(come down at once) for today I must abide at thy house.

6. అతడు త్వరగా దిగి సంతోషముతో ఆయనను చేర్చుకొనెను.

6. And hastily he came down, and received him joyfully.

7. అందరు అది చూచి ఈయన పాపియైన మనుష్యునియొద్ద బసచేయ వెళ్లెనని చాల సణుగుకొనిరి.

7. And when they saw that, they all grudged(murmured) saying: He is gone, into tarry with a man that is a sinner.

8. జక్కయ్య నిలువబడి ఇదిగో ప్రభువా, నా ఆస్తిలో సగము బీదలకిచ్చుచున్నాను; నేనెవనియొద్ద నైనను అన్యాయముగా దేనినైనను తీసికొనినయెడల అతనికి నాలుగంతలు మరల చెల్లింతునని ప్రభువుతో చెప్పెను.

8. (And) Zache stood forth and said unto the Lord: Behold Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have done any man wrong, I will restore him four fold.

9. అందుకు యేసు ఇతడును అబ్రాహాము కుమారుడే; ఎందుకనగా నేడు ఈ యింటికి రక్షణ వచ్చియున్నది.

9. (And) Jesus said to him: This day is health come unto this house, forasmuch as it(he) also is become the child of Abraham.

10. నశించినదానిని వెదకి రక్షించుటకు మనుష్యకుమారుడు వచ్చెనని అతనితో చెప్పెను.
యెహెఙ్కేలు 34:16

10. For the son of man is come to seek, and to save that which was lost.

11. వారు ఈ మాటలు వినుచుండగా తాను యెరూషలేమునకు సమీపమున ఉండుటవలనను, దేవుని రాజ్యము వెంటనే అగుపడునని వారు తలంచుటవలనను, ఆయన మరియొక ఉపమానము చెప్పెను. ఏమనగా,

11. As they heard these things,(hearkened) he added thereto a similitude, because he was nigh to Jerusalem;(Herusalem) And because also, they thought that the kingdom of God should shortly appear.

12. రాజ కుమారుడొక రాజ్యము సంపాదించుకొని మరల రావలె నని దూరదేశమునకు ప్రయాణమై

12. He said therefore: A certain noble man, went into a far country, to receive (him) a kingdom, and then to come again.

13. తన దాసులను పది మందిని పిలిచి వారికి పది మినాల నిచ్చి నేను వచ్చు వరకు వ్యాపారము చేయుడని వారితో చెప్పెను.

13. (And) He called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds saying unto them: Buy and sell(Occupy) till I come:

14. అయితే అతని పట్టణస్థులతని ద్వేషించిఇతడు మమ్ము నేలుట మా కిష్టము లేదని అతని వెనుక రాయబారము పంపిరి.

14. But his citizens hated him, and sent messengers(a message) after him, saying: We will not have this man to reign over us.

15. అతడా రాజ్యము సంపాదించుకొని తిరిగి వచ్చినప్పుడు, ప్రతివాడును వ్యాపారమువలన ఏమేమి సంపాదించెనో తెలిసికొనుటకై తాను సొమ్మిచ్చిన దాసులను తనయొద్దకు పిలువుమని ఆజ్ఞాపించెను.

15. And it came to pass, when he was come again and had received his kingdom, he commanded his(these) servants, to be called to him (to whom he gave his money) to wit what every man had done.

16. మొదటివాడాయన యెదుటికి వచ్చి అయ్యా, నీ మినావలన పది మినాలు లభించెనని చెప్పగా

16. Then came the first saying: Lord, thy pound hath increased ten pounds.

17. అతడు భళా, మంచి దాసుడా, నీవు ఈ కొంచెములో నమ్మకముగా ఉంటివి గనుక పది పట్టణముల మీద అధికారివై యుండుమని వానితో చెప్పెను.

17. And he said unto him: Well good servant, because thou wast faithful in a very little thing; Take thou authority over ten cities.

18. అంతట రెండవవాడు వచ్చి అయ్యా, నీ మినావలన అయిదు మినాలు లభించెననగా

18. And the other came saying: Lord thy pound, hath increased five pounds.

19. అతడు నీవును అయిదు పట్టణములమీద ఉండుమని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

19. And to the same he said: And be thou also ruler over five cities.

20. అంతట మరియొకడు వచ్చి అయ్యా, యిదిగో నీ మినా;

20. And the third came, and said: Lord, behold here thy pound, which I have kept in a napkin,

21. నీవు పెట్టనిదానిని ఎత్తికొనువాడవును, విత్తనిదానిని కోయు వాడవునైన కఠినుడవు గనుక, నీకు భయపడి దీనిని రుమా లున కట్టి ఉంచితినని చెప్పెను.

21. for I feared thee, because thou art a strait man: thou takest up that thou laidst not down; And reapest that thou didst not sow.

22. అందుకతడు - చెడ్డ దాసుడా, నీ నోటి మాటనుబట్టియే నీకు తీర్పు తీర్చుదును; నేను పెట్టనిదానిని ఎత్తువాడను, విత్తనిదానిని కోయువాడనునైన కఠినుడనని నీకు తెలిసియుండగా

22. And he said unto him: Of thine own mouth judge I thee thou evil servant. Knewest thou that I am a strait man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow?

23. నీవెందుకు నా సొమ్ము సాహుకారులయొద్ద నుంచలేదు? అట్లు చేసి యుండినయెడల నేను వచ్చి వడ్డితో దానిని తీసికొందునే అని వానితో చెప్పి

23. Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank? And then(that) at my coming should I(might) have required mine own, with vantage.

24. వీనియొద్దనుండి ఆ మినా తీసివేసి పది మినాలు గలవాని కియ్యుడని దగ్గర నిలిచినవారితో చెప్పెను.

24. And he said to them that stood by: Take from him that pound, and give it him that hath ten pounds.

25. వారు అయ్యా, వానికి పది మినాలు కలవే అనిరి.

25. And they said unto him: Lord he hath ten pounds.

26. అందుకతడుకలిగిన ప్రతివానికిని ఇయ్య బడును, లేనివానియొద్దనుండి వానికి కలిగినదియు తీసివేయబడునని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.

26. I say unto you, that unto all them that have, it shall be given: (and he shall have abundance) and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away.(from him.)

27. మరియు నేను తమ్మును ఏలు టకు ఇష్టములేని నా శత్రువులను ఇక్కడికి తీసికొనివచ్చి నాయెదుట సంహరించుడని చెప్పెను.

27. Moreover those mine enemies, which would not, that (I) should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

28. యేసు ఈ మాటలు చెప్పి యెరూషలేమునకు వెళ్ల వలెనని ముందు సాగిపోయెను.

28. And when he had thus spoken, he proceeded forth before them, and went(ascending) up to Jerusalem.

29. ఆయన ఒలీవల కొండదగ్గరనున్న బేత్పగే బేతనియ అను గ్రామముల సమీపమునకు వచ్చినప్పుడు, తన శిష్యుల నిద్దరిని పిలిచి

29. And it fortuned, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, besides mount Olivete, he sent two of his disciples

30. మీరు ఎదుటనున్న గ్రామమునకు వెళ్లుడి; అందులో మీరు ప్రవేశింపగానే కట్టబడియున్న ఒక గాడిద పిల్ల మీకు కనబడును; దానిమీద ఏ మనుష్యుడును ఎన్నడు కూర్చుండలేదు; దానిని విప్పి తోలుకొని రండి.

30. saying: Go ye in to the town which is over against you. In the which as soon as ye are come, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon, yet never man sat. Loose him and bring him hither.

31. ఎవరైననుమీరెందుకు దీని విప్పు చున్నారని మిమ్ము నడిగినయెడల ఇది ప్రభువునకు కావలసియున్నదని అతనితో చెప్పుడని చెప్పి వారిని పంపెను.

31. And if any man ask you, why that ye loose him: thus say unto him; The Lord hath need of him.

32. పంపబడిన వారు వెళ్లి, ఆయన తమతో చెప్పినట్టే కనుగొని

32. They that were sent went their way, and found, even as he had said unto them.

33. ఆ గాడిదపిల్లను విప్పుచుండగా దాని యజమానులుమీరు, గాడిద పిల్లను ఎందుకు విప్పుచున్నారని వారి నడిగిరి.

33. And as they were a loosing the colt, the owners said unto them: why loose ye the colt?

34. అందుకు వారు ఇది ప్రభువునకు కావలసియున్నదనిరి.

34. And they said: for the Lord hath need of him.

35. తరువాత వారు యేసునొద్దకు దానిని తోలుకొని వచ్చి, ఆ గాడిదపిల్ల మీద తమ బట్టలువేసి, యేసును దానిమీద ఎక్కించి,

35. And they brought him to Jesus. And they cast their raiment on the colt, and set Jesus thereon.

36. ఆయన వెళ్లుచుండగా తమ బట్టలు దారిపొడుగున పరచిరి.

36. And as he went they spread their clothes in the way.

37. ఒలీవలకొండనుండి దిగుచోటికి ఆయన సమీపించు చున్నప్పుడు శిష్యుల సమూహమంతయు సంతోషించుచు

37. (And) When he was (now) come where he should go down from the mount Olivete, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice, and to laud God(began joyfully to praise God) with a loud voice, for all the miracles that they had seen,

38. ప్రభువు పేరట వచ్చు రాజు స్తుతింపబడునుగాక పరలోకమందు సమాధానమును సర్వోన్నతమైన స్థలములలో మహిమయు ఉండునుగాక అని తాము చూచిన అద్భుతములన్నిటినిగూర్చి మహా శబ్దముతో దేవుని స్తోత్రము చేయసాగిరి.

38. saying: Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.(praise in the height)

39. ఆ సమూ హములో ఉన్న కొందరు పరిసయ్యులు బోధకుడా, నీ శిష్యులను గద్దింపుమని ఆయనతో చెప్పగా

39. And some of the pharisees of the company,(among the people) said unto him: Master rebuke thy disciples.

40. ఆయన వారిని చూచివీరు ఊరకుండినయెడల ఈ రాళ్లు కేకలు వేయునని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాననెను.

40. He answered, and said unto them: I tell you, if these (should) hold their peace, the stones will(would) cry.

41. ఆయన పట్టణమునకు సమీపించినప్పుడు దానిని చూచి దాని విషయమై యేడ్చి

41. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept on it

42. నీవును ఈ నీ దినమందైనను సమాధానసంబంధమైన సంగతులను తెలిసికొనినయెడల నీకెంతో మేలు; గాని యిప్పుడవి నీ కన్నులకు మరుగు చేయబడియున్నవి.

42. saying: If thou hadst known those things which belong unto thy peace, even at this day?(thy time?) But now are they hid from thine eyes.

43. (ప్రభువు) నిన్ను దర్శించిన కాలము నీవు ఎరుగకుంటివి గనుక నీ శత్రువులు నీ చుట్టు గట్టు కట్టి ముట్టడివేసి, అన్ని ప్రక్కలను నిన్ను అరికట్టి, నీలోనున్న నీ పిల్లలతో కూడ నిన్ను నేల కలిపి

43. For the days shall come upon thee; And(that thy) thine enemies shall compass thee about with a bank. And shall besiege thee round about,(cast a bank about thee, and compass thee round) and keep thee in on every side;

44. నీలో రాతిమీద రాయి నిలిచియుండ నియ్యని దినములు వచ్చునని చెప్పెను.

44. And make thee even with the ground, with thy children which are in thee. And they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another, because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.(hast not known the time, wherein thou has been visited)

45. ఆయన దేవాలయములో ప్రవేశించి అందులో విక్ర యము చేయువారితో నా మందిరము ప్రార్థన మందిరము అని వ్రాయబడియున్నది.

45. And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought

46. అయితే మీరు దానిని దొంగల గుహగా చేసితిరని చెప్పి వారిని వెళ్లగొట్ట నారంభించెను.

46. saying unto them; It is written, my house is the house of prayer: But ye have made it a den of thieves.(murthurers)

47. ఆయన ప్రతిదినమును దేవాలయములో బోధించు చున్నప్పుడు, ప్రధానయాజకులును శాస్త్రులును ప్రజలలో ప్రధానులును ఆయనను నాశనముచేయ జూచుచుండిరి గాని

47. And he taught daily in the temple. The high priests and the scribes and the chief of the people, went about to destroy him:

48. ప్రజలందరు ఆయన వాక్యమును వినుటకు ఆయనను హత్తుకొని యుండిరి గనుక ఏమి చేయవలెనో వారికి తోచలేదు.

48. But could not find what to do. For all the people stuck by him. And gave him audience.
