1. పిలాతు గలిలయులైన కొందరి రక్తము వారి బలులతో కలిపియుండెను. ఆ కాలమున అక్కడనున్న కొందరు ఆ సంగతి యేసుతో చెప్పగా

1. There were certaine men present at the same season, that shewed him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

2. ఆయన వారితో ఇట్లనెను ఈ గలిలయులు అట్టి హింసలు పొందినందున వారు గలిలయులందరికంటె పాపులని మీరు తలంచు చున్నారా?

2. And Iesus answered, and saide vnto them, Suppose ye, that these Galileans were greater sinners then al the other Galileans, because they haue suffered such things?

3. కారని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను; మీరు మారుమనస్సు పొందనియెడల మీరందరును ఆలాగే నశింతురు.

3. I tell you, nay: but except ye amend your liues, ye shall all likewise perish.

4. మరియు సిలోయములోని గోపురము పడి చచ్చిన ఆ పదునెనిమిదిమంది, యెరూషలేములో కాపురమున్న వారందరికంటె అపరాధులని తలంచుచున్నారా?

4. Or thinke you that those eighteene, vpon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slewe them, were sinners aboue all men that dwel in Hierusalem?

6. He spake also this parable, A certaine man had a figge tree planted in his vineyard: and he came and sought fruite thereon, and found none.

7. Then said he to the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, this three yeeres haue I come and sought fruite of this figge tree, and finde none: cut it downe: why keepeth it also the ground barren?

8. అయితే వాడు అయ్యా, నేను దానిచుట్టు త్రవ్వి, యెరువు వేయుమట్టుకు ఈ సంవత్సరముకూడ ఉండనిమ్ము;

8. And he answered, and said vnto him, Lord, let it alone this yeere also, till I digge round about it, and doung it.

9. అది ఫలించిన సరి, లేనియెడల నరికించివేయుమని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

9. And if it beare fruite, well: if not, then after thou shalt cut it downe.

10. విశ్రాంతి దినమున ఆయన యొక సమాజమందిరములో బోధించుచున్నప్పుడు

10. And he taught in one of ye Synagogues on the Sabbath day.

11. పదునెనిమిది ఏండ్లనుండి బలహీన పరచు దయ్యము పట్టిన యొక స్త్రీ అచ్చట నుండెను. ఆమె నడుము వంగిపోయి యెంత మాత్రమును చక్కగా నిలువబడలేకుండెను.

11. And behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmitie eighteene yeeres, and was bowed together, and coulde not lift vp her selfe in any wise.

12. యేసు ఆమెను చూచి, రమ్మని పిలిచి అమ్మా, నీ బలహీనతనుండి విడుదల పొంది యున్నావని ఆమెతో చెప్పి

12. When Iesus sawe her, he called her to him, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thy disease.

13. ఆమె మీద చేతులుంచగానే ఆమె చక్కగా నిలువబడి దేవుని మహిమపరచెను.

13. And he laide his handes on her, and immediately she was made straight againe, and glorified God.

14. యేసు విశ్రాంతిదినమున స్వస్థపరచినందున ఆ సమాజ మందిరపు అధికారి కోపముతో మండిపడి, జనసమూహ మును చూచిపనిచేయదగిన ఆరు దినములు కలవు గనుక ఆ దినములలోనే వచ్చి స్వస్థతపొందుడి; విశ్రాంతిదినమందు రావద్దని చెప్పెను.

14. And the ruler of the Synagogue answered with indignation, because that Iesus healed on the Sabbath day, and said vnto the people, There are sixe dayes in which men ought to worke: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.

15. అందుకు ప్రభువు వేషధారులారా, మీలో ప్రతివాడును విశ్రాంతిదినమున తన యెద్దునైనను గాడిదనైనను గాడియొద్దనుండి విప్పి, తోలు కొనిపోయి, నీళ్లు పెట్టును గదా.

15. Then answered him the Lord, and said, Hypocrite, doth not eche one of you on the Sabbath day loose his oxe or his asse from the stall, and leade him away to the water?

16. ఇదిగో పదునెనిమిది ఏండ్లనుండి సాతాను బంధించిన అబ్రాహాము కుమార్తెయైన యీమెను విశ్రాంతిదినమందు ఈ కట్లనుండి విడిపింపదగదా? అని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

16. And ought not this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, loe, eighteene yeeres, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?

17. ఆయన ఈ మాటలు చెప్పినప్పుడు ఆయన నెదిరించిన వారందరు సిగ్గుపడిరి; అయితే జనసమూహమంతయు ఆయన చేసిన ఘన కార్యములన్నిటిని చూచి సంతోషించెను.

17. And when he said these things, all his aduersaries were ashamed: but all the people reioyced at all the excellent things, that were done by him.

18. ఆయనదేవుని రాజ్యము దేనిని పోలియున్నది? దేనితో దాని పోల్తును?

18. Then said he, What is the kingdome of God like? or whereto shall I compare it?

19. ఒక మనుష్యుడు తీసికొనిపోయి తన తోటలోవేసిన ఆవగింజను పోలియున్నది. అది పెరిగి వృక్షమాయెను; ఆకాశపక్షులు దాని కొమ్మల యందు నివసించెననెను.

19. It is like a graine of mustard seede, which a man tooke and sowed in his garden, and it grewe, and waxed a great tree, and the foules of the heauen made nestes in the branches thereof.

20. మరల ఆయనదేవుని రాజ్యమును దేనితో పోల్తును?

20. And againe he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdome of God?

21. ఒక స్త్రీ తీసికొని, అంతయు పులిసి పొంగువరకు మూడు కుంచముల పిండిలో దాచి పెట్టిన పుల్లని పిండిని పోలియున్నదని చెప్పెను.

21. It is like leauen, which a woman tooke, and hid in three peckes of floure, till all was leauened.

22. ఆయన యెరూషలేమునకు ప్రయాణమై పోవుచు బోధించుచు పట్టణములలోను గ్రామములలోను సంచారము చేయుచుండెను.

22. And he went through all cities and townes, teaching, and iourneying towards Hierusalem.

23. ఒకడు ప్రభువా, రక్షణపొందు వారు కొద్దిమందేనా? అని ఆయన నడుగగా

23. Then saide one vnto him, Lord, are there fewe that shalbe saued? And he said vnto them,

24. ఆయన వారిని చూచి ఇరుకు ద్వారమున ప్రవేశింప పోరాడుడి; అనేకులు ప్రవేశింప జూతురు గాని వారివలన కాదని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.

24. Striue to enter in at the straite gate: for many, I say vnto you, will seeke to enter in, and shall not be able.

25. ఇంటి యజమానుడు లేచి తలుపువేసిన తరువాత మీరు వెలుపల నిలిచి తలుపు తట్టి అయ్యా, మాకు తలుపు తీయుమని చెప్ప నారంభించి నప్పుడు

25. When the good man of the house is risen vp, and hath shut to the doore, and ye begin to stand without, and to knocke at the doore, saying, Lord, Lord, open to vs, and he shall answere and say vnto you, I know you not whence ye are,

26. ఆయన మీ రెక్కడివారో మిమ్మును ఎరుగనని ఉత్తరము మీతో చెప్పును. అందుకు మీరునీ సముఖ మందు మేము తిని త్రాగుచుంటిమే; నీవు మా వీధులలో బోధించితివే అని చెప్ప సాగుదురు.

26. Then shall ye begin to say, We haue eaten and drunke in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streetes.

27. అప్పుడాయన మీ రెక్కడివారో మిమ్మును ఎరుగనని మీతో చెప్పు చున్నాను; అక్రమము చేయు మీరందరు నా యొద్దనుండి తొలగిపొండని చెప్పును.

27. But he shall say, I tell you, I knowe you not whence ye are: depart from me, all ye workers of iniquitie.

28. అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకు యాకోబులును సకల ప్రవక్తలును దేవుని రాజ్యములో ఉండుటయు, మీరు వెలుపలికి త్రోయబడుటయు, మీరు చూచునప్పుడు మీరు ఏడ్చుచు పండ్లు కొరుకుదురు.

28. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth when ye shall see Abraham and Isaac, and Iacob, and all the Prophets in the kingdome of God, and your selues thrust out at doores.

29. మరియు జనులు తూర్పునుండియు పడమట నుండియు ఉత్తరమునుండియు దక్షిణమునుండియువచ్చి, దేవుని రాజ్యమందు కూర్చుందురు.

29. Then shall come many from the East, and from the West, and from the North, and from the South, and shall sit at Table in the kingdome of God.

30. ఇదిగో కడపటి వారిలో కొందరు మొదటి వారగుదురు, మొదటివారిలో కొందరు కడపటి వారగుదురని చెప్పెను.

30. And beholde, there are last, which shalbe first, and there are first, which shalbe last.

31. ఆ గడియలోనే కొందరు పరిసయ్యులు వచ్చినీ విక్కడనుండి బయలుదేరి పొమ్ము; హేరోదు నిన్ను చంప గోరుచున్నాడని ఆయనతో చెప్పగా

31. The same day there came certaine Pharises, and said vnto him, Depart, and goe hence: for Herod will kill thee.

32. ఆయన వారిని చూచిమీరు వెళ్లి, ఆ నక్కతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుడి ఇదిగో నేడును రేపును నేను దయ్యములను వెళ్ల గొట్టుచు (రోగులను) స్వస్థపరచుచునుండి మూడవ దినమున పూర్ణ సిద్ధి పొందెదను.

32. Then said he vnto them, Goe ye and tell that foxe, Beholde, I cast out deuils, and will heale still to day, and to morowe, and the third day I shalbe perfected.

33. అయినను నేడు రేపు ఎల్లుండి నా త్రోవను నేను పోవుచుండవలెను; ప్రవక్త యెరూషలేము నకు వెలుపల నశింప వల్లపడదు.

33. Neuerthelesse I must walke to day, and to morowe, and the day following: for it cannot be that a Prophet should perish out of Hierusalem.

34. యెరూషలేమా, యెరూషలేమా, ప్రవక్తలను చంపుచు, నీయొద్దకు పంప బడినవారిని రాళ్లతో కొట్టుచు ఉండుదానా, కోడి తన పిల్లలను తన రెక్కల క్రింద ఏలాగు చేర్చుకొనునో ఆలాగే ఎన్నో మారులు నేను నీ ప్లిలలను చేర్చుకొనవలెనని యుంటినిగాని మీ రొల్లకపోతిరి.

34. O Hierusalem, Hierusalem, which killest the Prophets, and stonest them that are sent to thee, howe often would I haue gathered thy children together, as the henne gathereth her brood vnder her wings, and ye would not!

35. ఇదిగో మీ యిల్లు మీకు పాడుగా విడువబడుచున్నది ప్రభువు పేరట వచ్చువాడు స్తుతింపబడునుగాకని మీరు చెప్పువరకు మీరు నన్ను చూడరని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాననెను.

35. Beholde, your house is left vnto you desolate: and verely I tell you, ye shall not see me vntill the time come that ye shall say, Blessed is he that commeth in the Name of the Lord.
