1. యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునీవు అహరోనుతో

1. AND THE Lord said to Moses,

2. నీవు దీపములను వెలిగించునప్పుడు ఆ యేడు దీపముల వెలుగు దీపవృక్షమునకు ముందు పడునట్లు వాటిని వెలిగింపవలెనని చెప్పుమనెను. అహరోను ఆలాగు చేసెను.

2. Say to Aaron, When you set up and light the lamps, the seven lamps shall be made to give light in front of the lampstand.

3. యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు అతడు దీపవృక్షమునకు ఎదురుగా దాని దీపములను వెలిగించెను.

3. And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps of the lampstand to give light in front of it, as the Lord commanded Moses.

4. ఆ దీపవృక్షము బంగారు నకిషిపనిగలది; అది దాని స్తంభము మొదలు కొని పుష్పములవరకు నకిషిపనిగలది; యెహోవా కనుపరచిన మాదిరినిబట్టి మోషే ఆ దీపవృక్షమును చేయించెను.

4. And this was the workmanship of the candlestick: beaten or turned gold, beaten work [of gold] from its base to its flowers; according to the pattern which the Lord had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.

5. మరియు యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో నుండి

5. And the Lord said to Moses,

6. లేవీయులను ప్రత్యే కించి వారిని పవిత్రపరచుము.

6. Take the Levites from among the Israelites and cleanse them.

7. వారిని పవిత్రపరచుటకు నీవు వారికి చేయవలసినదేమనగా, వారిమీద పాపపరిహారార్థజలమును ప్రోక్షింపుము; అప్పుడు వారు మంగలి కత్తితో తమ శరీరమంతయు గొరిగించుకొని

7. And thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of purification [water to be used in case of sin] upon them, and let them pass a razor over all their flesh and wash their clothes and cleanse themselves. [Num. 19:17, 18.]

8. తమ బట్టలు ఉదుకుకొని పవిత్రపరచు కొనిన తరువాత వారు ఒక కోడెను దాని నైవేద్యమును, అనగా తైలముతో కలిసిన గోధమపిండిని తేవలెను. నీవు పాపపరిహారార్థబలిగా మరియొక కోడెను తీసికొని రావలెను.

8. Then let them take a young bull and its cereal offering of fine flour mixed with oil, and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering.

9. అప్పుడు నీవు ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారము ఎదుటికి లేవీయులను తోడుకొని వచ్చి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సర్వసమాజమును పోగుచేయ వలెను.

9. You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting, and you shall assemble the whole Israelite congregation.

10. నీవు యెహోవా సన్నిధికి లేవీయులను తోడు కొనివచ్చిన తరువాత ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తమ చేతులను ఆ లేవీయులమీద ఉంచవలెను.

10. And you shall present the Levites before the Lord, and the Israelites shall put their hands upon the Levites,

11. లేవీయులు యెహోవా సేవచేయు వారవుటకు అహరోనును ఇశ్రాయేలీయులును ప్రతిష్ఠార్పణముగా వారిని యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ప్రతిష్ఠింపవలెను.

11. And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering from the Israelites and on their behalf, that they may do the service of the Lord.

12. లేవీయులు ఆ కోడెల తలలమీద తమ చేతు లుంచిన తరువాత నీవు లేవీయుల నిమిత్తము ప్రాయశ్చి త్తము చేయునట్లు యెహోవాకు వాటిలో ఒకదానిని పాపపరిహారార్థ బలిగాను రెండవ దానిని దహనబలిగాను అర్పించి

12. Then the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to the Lord, to make atonement for the Levites.

13. అహరోను ఎదుటను అతని కుమారుల యెదుటను లేవీయులను నిలువబెట్టి యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠార్పణముగా వారిని అర్పింపవలెను.

13. And you shall present the Levites before Aaron and his sons and offer them as a wave offering to the Lord.

14. అట్లు నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో నుండి లేవీయులను వేరుపరచవలెను; లేవీయులు నావారై యుందురు.

14. Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the Israelites, and the Levites shall be Mine [in a very special sense].

15. తరువాత నీవు వారిని పవిత్రపరచి ప్రతి ష్ఠార్పణముగా వారిని అర్పించినప్పుడు లేవీయులు ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారములో సేవచేయుటకై లోపలికి వెళ్లవచ్చును.

15. And after that the Levites shall go in to do service at the Tent of Meeting, when you have cleansed them and offered them as a wave offering.

16. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో వారు నా వశము చేయబడినవారు; తొలిచూలియైన ప్రతివానికిని, అనగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ప్రథమ సంతానమంతటికిని ప్రతిగా వారిని నేను తీసికొనియున్నాను.

16. For they are wholly given to Me from among the Israelites; instead of all who open the womb, the firstborn of all the Israelites, I have taken the Levites for Myself.

17. ఏలయనగా మనుష్యులలోను పశువులలోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో తొలిచూలియైనది యావత్తును నాది; ఐగుప్తుదేశములో తొలిచూలియైన ప్రతివానిని నేను సంహరించిననాడు వారిని నాకొరకు ప్రతిష్ఠించు కొంటిని.

17. For all the firstborn of the Israelites are Mine, both of man and beast; on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt [not of Israel], I consecrated them and set them apart for Myself.

18. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో తొలిచూలియైన ప్రతివానికి మారుగా లేవీయులను తీసికొని యున్నాను.

18. And I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn of the Israelites.

19. మరియు ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారములో ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నిమిత్తము సేవచేయుటకును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నిమిత్తము ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేయుటకును, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో లేవీయులను అహరోనుకును అతని కుమారులకును ఇచ్చి అప్పగించియున్నాను. అందువలన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు పరిశుద్ధమందిరమునకు సమీపించునప్పుడు ఏ తెగులైనను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు సంభవింపకపోవును అని చెప్పెను.

19. And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the Israelites to do the service of the Israelites at the Tent of Meeting and to make atonement for them, that there may be no plague among the Israelites if they should come near the sanctuary.

20. అప్పుడు మోషే అహరోనులును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సర్వసమాజము యెహోవా లేవీయులనుగూర్చి మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన సమస్తమునుబట్టి లేవీయులయెడల చేసిరి; ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు వారికి అట్లేచేసిరి.

20. So Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the Israelites did thus to the Levites; according to all that the Lord commanded Moses concerning [them], so did the Israelites to them.

21. లేవీయులు తమ్మును పవిత్రపరచుకొని తమ బట్టలు ఉదుకుకొనిన తరువాత అహరోను యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ప్రతిష్ఠార్పణముగా వారిని అర్పించెను. వారిని పవిత్రపరచుటకు అహరోను వారినిమిత్తము ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేసెను.

21. The Levites cleansed and purified themselves and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as a wave offering before the Lord and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

22. తరువాత లేవీయులు అహరోను ఎదుటను అతని కుమారుల యెదుటను ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారములో సేవచేయుటకు లోపలికి వెళ్లిరి. యెహోవా లేవీయులను గూర్చి మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు అతడు వారియెడల చేసెను.

22. And after that the Levites went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting with the attendance of Aaron and his sons; as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they to them.

23. మరియు యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను ఇది లేవీయులను గూర్చిన విధి.

23. And the Lord said to Moses,

24. ఇరువది యైదేండ్లు మొదలుకొని పైప్రాయముగల ప్రతివాడును ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారముయొక్క సేవలో పనిచేయుటకు రావలెను.

24. This is what applies to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to perform the work of the service of the Tent of Meeting,

25. అయితే ఏబది ఏండ్ల వయస్సు పొందిన పిమ్మట వారు ఆ పని మాని ఊరకుండవలెను.

25. And at the age of fifty years, they shall retire from the warfare of the service and serve no more,

26. వారు కాపాడవలసిన వాటిని కాపాడుటకు ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారములో తమ గోత్రపువారితో కూడ పరిచర్యచేయవలెను గాని పనిచేయవలదు. లేవీయులు కాపాడవలసిన వాటివిషయము నీవు వారికి ఆలాగు నియమింపవలెను.

26. But shall help their brethren in the Tent of Meeting [attend to protecting the sacred things from being profaned], but shall do no regular or heavy service. Thus shall you direct the Levites in regard to their duties.
