1. రూబేనీయులకును గాదీయులకును అతివిస్తారమైన మందలుండెను గనుక యాజెరు ప్రదేశమును గిలాదు ప్రదేశమును మందలకు తగిన స్థలమని తెలిసికొని

1. Now, much cattle, had come into the possession of the sons of Reuben and of the sons of Gad, an exceeding mighty number. And when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, lo! the place, was a place for cattle.

2. వారు వచ్చి మోషేను యాజకుడగు ఎలియాజరును సమాజ ప్రధానులతొ

2. So the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben came in, and spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of assembly, saying,

3. అతారోతు దీబోను యాజెరు నిమ్రా హెష్బోను ఏలాలే షెబాము నెబో బెయోను అను స్థలములు, అనగా

3. As touching Atroth and Dibon, and Jazer and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Sebam and Nebo, and Beon-

4. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సమాజము ఎదుట యెహోవా జయించిన దేశము మందలకు తగిన ప్రదేశము. నీ సేవకులమైన మాకు మందలు కలవు.

4. the land which Yahweh smote before the assembly of Israel, a land for cattle, it is, and, thy servants, have cattle.

5. కాబట్టి మా యెడల నీకు కటాక్షము కలిగినయెడల, మమ్మును యొర్దాను అద్దరికి దాటింపక నీ దాసులమైన మాకు ఈ దేశమును స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇమ్మనగా

5. And they said If we have found favour in thine eyes, let this land he given unto thy servants, for a possession, do not take us over the Jordan.

6. మోషే గాదీయులతోను రూబేనీయులతోను మీ సహోదరులు యుద్ధమునకు పోవుచుండగా మీరు ఇక్కడ కూర్చుండవచ్చునా?

6. Then said Moses unto the sons of Gad and unto the sons of Reuben, Shall, your brethren, go into the war, and ye, settle down here?

7. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకిచ్చిన దేశమునకు వారు వెళ్లకయుండునట్లు మీరేల వారి హృదయములను అధైర్య పరచుదురు?

7. Wherefore, then, should ye dissuade the heart of the sons of Israel, from passing over into the land which Yahweh hath given to them?

8. ఆ దేశమును చూచుటకు కాదేషు బర్నేయలోనుండి మీ తండ్రులను నేను పంపినప్పుడు వారును ఆలాగు చేసిరిగదా

8. Thus, did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea, to view the land,

9. వారు ఎష్కోలు లోయలోనికి వెళ్లి ఆ దేశమును చూచి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల హృదయమును అధైర్యపరచిరి గనుక యెహోవా తమకిచ్చిన దేశమునకు వారు వెళ్లక పోయిరి.

9. and they went up as far as the ravine of Eschol, and viewed the land, and then dissuaded the heart of the sons of Israel from entering into the land, which Yahweh had given them.

10. ఆ దినమున యెహోవా కోపము రగులుకొని

10. Then was the anger of Yahweh kindled on that day, and he aware, saying:

11. ఇరువది ఏండ్లు మొదలుకొని పైప్రాయము కలిగి ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి వచ్చిన మనుష్యులలో పూర్ణ మనస్సుతో యెహోవాను అనుసరించిన కెనెజీయుడగు యెఫున్నె కుమారుడైన కాలేబును నూనుకుమారుడైన యెహోషువయు తప్ప

11. Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt from twenty years old and upwards, shall see the soil, which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac and unto Jacob, because they have not followed after me fully;

12. మరి ఎవడును పూర్ణమనస్సుతో నన్ను అనుసరింపలేదు గనుక నేను అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకు యాకోబులకు ప్రమాణపూర్వకముగా నిచ్చిన దేశమును వారు తప్ప మరి ఎవరును చూడనే చూడరని ప్రమాణము చేసెను.

12. save Caleb son of Jephunneh, the Kenezite, and Joshua, son of Nun, for they followed after Yahweh, fully.

13. అప్పుడు యెహోవా కోపము ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మీద రగులుకొనగా యెహోవా దృష్ఠికి చెడునడత నడిచిన ఆ తరమువారందరు నశించువరకు అరణ్యములో నలుబది ఏండ్లు ఆయన వారిని తిరుగులాడచేసెను.

13. So the anger of Yahweh kindled upon Israel, and he made them wander in the desert, forty years, until all the generation who had done the evil in the eyes of Yahweh, had wasted away!

14. ఇప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యెడల యెహోవాకు కోపము మరి ఎక్కువగా పుట్టించునట్లుగా ఆ పాపుల సంతానమైన మీరు మీ తండ్రులకు ప్రతిగా బయలుదేరి యున్నారు.

14. Lo! therefore, ye have arisen in the room of your fathers, brood of sinful men, to heap up yet more upon the heat of the anger of Yahweh, towards Israel.

15. మీరు ఆయనను అనుసరింపక వెనుకకు మళ్లినయెడల ఆయన ఈ అరణ్యములో జనులను ఇంక నిలువ చేయును. అట్లు మీరు ఈ సర్వజనమును నశింపచేసెదరనెను.

15. If ye do turn away from following him, then will he yet again leave them behind in the desert, so shall ye bring destruction upon all this people.

16. అందుకు వారు అతనియొద్దకు వచ్చి మేము ఇక్కడ మా మందలకొరకు దొడ్లను మా పిల్లల కొరకు పురములను కట్టుకొందుము.

16. Then came they near unto him, and said, Folds, for flocks, would we build for our cattle, here, and cities for our little ones;

17. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను వారివారి స్థలములకు చేర్చువరకు మేము వారి ముందర యుద్ధమునకు సిద్ధపడి సాగుదుము. అయితే మా పిల్లలు ఈ దేశనివాసుల భయముచేత ప్రాకారముగల పురములలో నివసింపవలెను.

17. but, we, would arm ourselves promptly, before the sons of Israel, until that we have brought them into their place, so should our little ones remain in the fortified cities, because of the inhabitants of the land.

18. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ప్రతివాడును తన తన స్వాస్థ్యమును పొందువరకు మా యిండ్లకు తిరిగి రాము.

18. We would not return unto our houses, until the sons of Israel have possessed themselves each man, of his inheritance.

19. తూర్పుదిక్కున యొర్దాను ఇవతల మాకు స్వాస్థ్యము దొరికెను గనుక యొర్దాను అవతల దూరముగా వారితో స్వాస్థ్యము పొందమనిరి.

19. For we would not inherit with them, over the Jordan, and onwards, because our inheritance hath come unto us on this side the Jordan towards sunrise.

20. అప్పుడు మోషే వారితోమీరు మీ మాటమీద నిలిచి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని యుద్ధమునకు సిద్ధపడి యెహోవా తన యెదుటనుండి తన శత్రువులను వెళ్ల గొట్టువరకు

20. And Moses said unto them, If ye will indeed do this thing, if ye will arm yourselves, before Yahweh, for the war;

21. యెహోవా సన్నిధిని మీరందరు యుద్ధ సన్నద్ధులై యొర్దాను అవతలికి వెళ్లినయెడల

21. and every armed man of you pass over the Jordan before Yahweh, until he hath dispossessed his enemies, from before him;

22. ఆ దేశము యెహోవా సన్నిధిని జయింపబడిన తరువాత మీరు తిరిగి వచ్చి యెహోవా దృష్టికిని ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దృష్టికిని నిర్దోషులై యుందురు; అప్పుడు ఈ దేశము యెహోవా సన్నిధిని మీకు స్వాస్థ్యమగును.

22. and the land be subdued before Yahweh then afterwards, shall ye return, and shall be acquitted by Yahweh and by Israel, and this land shall be yours for a possession before Yahweh.

23. మీరు అట్లు చేయని యెడల యెహోవా దృష్టికి పాపముచేసిన వారగుదురు గనుక మీ పాపము మిమ్మును పట్టుకొనును అని తెలిసికొనుడి.

23. But, if ye shall not do this, lo! ye will have sinned against Yahweh, and take note of your sin, that it will find you out.

24. మీరు మీ పిల్లలకొరకు పురములను మీ మందల కొరకు దొడ్లను కట్టుకొని మీ నోటనుండి వచ్చిన మాట చొప్పున చేయుడనెను.

24. Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your flocks, and then that which hath gone forth from your mouth, ye shall do.

25. అందుకు గాదీయులును రూబేనీయులును మోషేతో మా యేలినవాడు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు నీ దాసులమైన మేము చేసెదము.

25. Then spake the sons of Gad, and the sons of Reuben unto Moses, saying, thy servants, will do, as, my lord, is giving command.

26. మా పిల్లలు మా భార్యలు మా మందలు మా సమస్త పశువులు అక్కడ గిలాదు పురములలో ఉండును.

26. Our little ones, our wives, our cattle, and all our beasts, shall remain there in the cities of Gilead;

27. నీ దాసులమైన మేము, అనగా మా సేనలో ప్రతి యోధుడును మా యేలినవాడు చెప్పినట్లు యెహోవా సన్నిధిని యుద్ధము చేయుటకు యొర్దాను అవతలికివచ్చెదమనిరి.

27. and thy servants, will pass over every one armed for war, before Yahweh to battle, as, my lord is speaking.

28. కాబట్టి మోషే వారినిగూర్చి యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు కును, నూను కుమారుడైన యెహోషువకును, ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల గోత్రములలో పితరుల కుటుంబ ముల ప్రధానులకును ఆజ్ఞాపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెను

28. So Moses gave command concerning them, unto Eleazar the priest and unto Joshua son of Nun, and unto the headset the fathers of the tribes, of the sons of Israel;

29. గాదీయులును రూబేనీయులును అందరు యెహో వా సన్నిధిని యుద్ధమునకు సిద్దపడి మీతో కూడ యొర్దాను అవతలికి వెళ్లినయెడల ఆ దేశము మీచేత జయింపబడిన తరువాత మీరు గిలాదు దేశమును వారికి స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇయ్యవలెను.

29. and Moses said unto them If the sons of Gad and the son of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every one armed for the war before Yahweh, and the land be subdued before you, then shall ye give unto them the land of Gilead, for a possession.

30. అయితే వారు మీతో కలిసి యోధులై ఆవలికి వెళ్లనియెడల వారు కనాను దేశమందే మీ మధ్యను స్వాస్థ్యములను పొందుదురనగా

30. But, if they will not pass over armed, with you, then shall they accept a possession in your midst, in the land of Canaan.

31. గాదీయులును రూబేనీయులును యెహోవా నీ దాసులమైన మాతో చెప్పినట్లే చేసెదము.

31. Then responded the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben, saying, That which Yahweh had spoken unto thy servants, so, will we do.

32. మేము యెహోవా సన్నిధిని యుద్ధసన్నద్ధులమైనది దాటి కనాను దేశములోనికి వెళ్లెదము. అప్పుడు యొర్దాను ఇవతల మేము స్వాస్థ్యమును పొందెదమని ఉత్తరమిచ్చిరి.

32. We, will pass over armed, before Yahweh into the land of Canaan, then shall be ours, the possession of our inheritance across the Jordan.

33. అప్పుడు మోషే వారికి, అనగా గాదీయులకును రూబేనీయులకును యోసేపు కుమారుడైన మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రపు వారికిని, అమోరీయుల రాజైన సీహోను రాజ్యమును, బాషాను రాజైన ఓగు రాజ్యమును, దాని ప్రాంతపురములతో ఆ దేశమును చట్టునుండు ఆ దేశపురములను ఇచ్చెను.

33. So then Moses gave unto them even unto the sons of Gad and unto the sons of Reuben and unto the half tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph the kingdom of sihon, king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og, the king of Bashan, the land by her cities with boundaries, even the cities of the land round about.

34. గాదీయులు దీబోను అతారోతు అరోయేరు అత్రోతు షోపాను

34. And the sons of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer;

35. యాజెరు యొగ్బెహ బేత్నిమ్రా బేత్హారాను

35. and Atroth-shophan and Jazer, and Jogbehah;

36. అను ప్రాకారములుగల పురములను మందల దొడ్లను కట్టుకొనిరి.

36. and Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, fortified cities and folds for flocks.

37. రూబేనీయులు మారుపేరుపొందిన హెష్బోను ఏలాలే కిర్యతాయిము నెబో బయల్మెయోను

37. And the sons of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kiriathaim,

38. షిబ్మా అను పురములను కట్టి, తాము కట్టిన ఆ పురములకు వేరు పేరులు పెట్టిరి.

38. and Nebo and Baal-meon their names being changed, and Sibmah, and they gave names to the cities which they built.

39. మనష్షే కుమారులైన మాకీరీయులు గిలాదుమీదికి పోయి దాని పట్టుకొని దానిలోనున్న అమోరీయులను వెళ్లగొట్టిరి.

39. Then went the sons of Machir son of Manasseh to Gilead, and captured it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were therein,

40. మోషే మనష్షే కుమారుడైన మాకీరుకు గిలాదునిచ్చెను

40. So Moses gave Gilead unto Machir son of Manasseh, and he dwelt therein.

41. అతడు అక్కడ నివసించెను. మనష్షే కుమారుడైన యాయీరు వెళ్లి వారి పల్లెలను పట్టుకొని వాటికి యాయీరు పల్లెలను పేరు పెట్టెను.

41. And Jair, son of Manasseh, went, and captured their encampments, and called them Havvoth-jair.

42. నోబహు వెళ్లి కెనాతును దాని గ్రామములను పట్టుకొని దానికి నోబహు అని తన పేరు పెట్టెను.

42. And, Nobah, went, and captured Kenath, with the villages thereof, and called it Nobah, after his own name.
