1. And the LORD spake unto Moses saying:

2. avenge the children of Israel of the Madianites, and afterward be gathered unto thy people.

3. మోషే ప్రజలతోమీలో కొందరు యుద్ధసన్నద్ధులై మిద్యానీయులమీదికిపోయి మిద్యానీయు లకు యెహోవా విధించిన ప్రతి దండన చేయునట్లు

3. And Moses spake unto the folk saying: Harness some of you unto war, and let them go upon the Madianites and avenge the LORD of the Madianites.

4. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములన్నిటిలోను ప్రతి గోత్ర ములోనుండి వేయేసిమందిని ఆ యుద్ధమునకు పంపవలె ననెను.

4. Ye shall send unto the war a thousand of every tribe thorowout all the tribes of Israel.

5. అట్లు గోత్రమొక్కంటికి వేయిమందిచొప్పున, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సేనలలో నుండి పండ్రెండువేల యుద్ధ వీరులు ఏర్పరచబడగా

5. And there were taken out of the thousands of Israel twelve thousand prepared unto war, of every tribe a thousand.

6. మోషే వారిని, అనగా ప్రతి గోత్రమునుండి వేయేసిమందిని, యాజకుడగు ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడైన ఫీనెహాసును పంపెను. అతని చేతిలోని పరిశుద్ధమైన ఉపకరణములను ఊదుటకు బూరలను యుద్ధ మునకు పంపెను.

6. And Moses sent them a thousand of every tribe, with Phineas the son of Eleazer the priest to war, and the holy vessels and the trumpets to blow with in his hand.

7. యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు వారు మిద్యానీయులతో యుద్ధముచేసి మగవారినందరిని చంపిరి.

7. And they warred against the Madianites, as the LORD commanded Moses, and slew all the males.

8. చంపబడిన యితరులుగాక మిద్యానురాజులను, అనగా మిద్యాను అయిదుగురు రాజులైన ఎవీని, రేకె మును, సూరును, హూరును, రేబను చంపిరి. బెయోరు కుమారుడైన బిలామును ఖడ్గముతో చంపిరి.

8. And they slew the kings of Madian among other that were slain: Eui, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba: five kings of Madian. And they slew Balam the son of Beor with the sword.

9. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు మిద్యాను స్త్రీలను వారి చిన్న పిల్ల లను చెరపట్టుకొని, వారి సమస్త పశువులను వారి గొఱ్ఱె మేకలన్నిటిని వారికి కలిగినది యావత్తును దోచుకొనిరి.

9. And the children of Israel took all the women of Madian prisoners and their children, and spoiled all their cattle, their substance and their goods.

10. మరియు వారి నివాస పట్టణములన్నిటిని వారి కోటలన్ని టిని అగ్నిచేత కాల్చివేసిరి.

10. And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their castles with fire.

11. వారు మనుష్యులనేమి పశువులనేమి సమస్తమైన కొల్ల సొమ్మును మిద్యానీయుల ఆస్తిని యావత్తును తీసికొనిరి.

11. And they took all the spoil and all they could catch, both of men and beasts.

12. తరువాత వారు మోయాబు మైదానములలో యెరికో యొద్దనున్న యొర్దాను దగ్గర దిగియున్న దండులో మోషే యొద్దకును యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు నొద్దకును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సమాజము నొద్దకును చెరపట్టబడినవారిని అపహరణములను ఆ కొల్ల సొమ్మును తీసికొని రాగా

12. And they brought the captives and that which they had taken and all the spoil unto Moses and Eleazer the priest and unto the company of the children of Israel, even unto the host, in the fields of Moab by Jordan nigh to Jericho.

13. మోషేయు యాజకుడైన ఎలి యాజరును సమాజ ప్రధానులందరును వారిని ఎదుర్కొను టకు పాళెములోనుండి వెలుపలికి వెళ్లిరి.

13. And Moses and Eleazer the priest and all the lords of the congregation went out of the host against them.

14. అప్పుడు మోషే యుద్ధసేనలోనుండి వచ్చిన సహస్రాధిపతులును శతాధిపతులునగు సేనానాయకులమీద కోపపడెను.

14. And Moses was angry with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands and over hundreds, which came from war and battle,

15. మోషే వారితోమీరు ఆడువారినందరిని బ్రదుకనిచ్చి తిరా?

15. and said unto them: Have ye saved the women alive?

16. ఇదిగో బిలాము మాటనుబట్టి పెయోరు విషయ ములో ఇశ్రాయేలీయులచేత యెహోవామీద తిరుగు బాటు చేయించిన వారు వీరు కారా? అందుచేత యెహోవా సమాజములో తెగులు పుట్టియుండెను గదా.
యూదా 1:11, ప్రకటన గ్రంథం 2:14

16. behold, these caused the children of Israel thorow Balam, to commit trespass against the LORD, by the reason of Peor, and there followed a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

17. కాబట్టి మీరు పిల్లలలో ప్రతి మగవానిని పురుషసంయో గము ఎరిగిన ప్రతి స్త్రీని చంపుడి;

17. Now therefore slay all the men children and the women that have lien with men fleshly:

18. పురుషసంయోగము ఎరుగని ప్రతి ఆడుపిల్లను మీ నిమిత్తము బ్రతుకనీయుడి.

18. But all the women children that have not lien with men, keep alive for your selves.

19. మీరు ఏడు దినములు పాళెము వెలుపల ఉండవలెను; మీలో నరుని చంపిన ప్రతివాడును చంపబడిన నరుని ముట్టిన ప్రతివాడును, మీరును మీరు చెరపట్టినవారును మూడవ దినమున ఏడవ దినమున మిమ్మును మీరే పవిత్ర పరచుకొనవలెను.

19. And lodge without the host seven days all that have killed any person and all that have twiched any dead body, and purify both your selves and your prisoners the third day and the seventh.

20. మీరు బట్టలన్నిటిని చర్మ వస్తువులన్ని టిని మేక వెండ్రుకల వస్తువులన్నిటిని కొయ్య వస్తువులన్నిటిని పవిత్రపరచవలెననెను.

20. And sprinkle all your raiments and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.

21. అప్పుడు యాజకుడగు ఎలి యాజరు యుద్ధమునకు పోయిన సైనికులతో యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన విధియేదనగా

21. And Eleazer the priest said unto all the men of war which went out to battle: this is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses:

22. మీరు బంగారును వెండిని ఇత్తడిని ఇనుమును తగరమును సీసమును

22. Gold, silver, brass, iron, tin and lead,

23. అనగా అగ్నిచేత చెడని సమస్త వస్తువులనుమాత్రము అగ్నిలో వేసి తీయవలెను; అప్పుడు అవి పవిత్రమగును. అయితే పాపపరిహార జలముచేతను వాటిని పవిత్ర పరచవలెను. అగ్నిచేత చెడునట్టి ప్రతి వస్తువును నీళ్లలో వేసి తీయవలెను.

23. and all that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go thorow the fire, and then it is clean. Neverthelater, it shall be sprinkled with sprinkling water. And all that suffereth not the fire, ye shall make go thorow the water.

24. ఏడవ దినమున మీరు మీ బట్టలు ఉదుకుకొని పవిత్రులైన తరువాత పాళెములోనికి రావచ్చుననెను.

24. And wash your clothes the seventh day, and then ye are clean. And afterward come into the host.

25. మరియు యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగుసెలవిచ్చెను.

25. And the LORD spake unto Moses saying:

26. నీవును యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరును సమాజముయొక్క పితరుల కుటుంబములలో ప్రధానులును మనుష్యులలో నేమి, పశువులలోనేమి, చెరపట్టబడిన దోపుడుసొమ్ము మొత్తమును లెక్కించి రెండు భాగములుగాచేసి

26. take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of the women and of cattle, thou and Eleazer the priest and the ancient heads of the congregation.

27. యుద్ధ మునకు పూనుకొని సేనగా బయలుదేరినవారికి సగమును సర్వసమాజమునకు సగమును పంచిపెట్టవలెను.

27. And divide it into two parts, between them that took the war upon them and went out to battle and all the congregation.

28. మరియు సేనగా బయలు దేరిన యోధులమీద యెహోవాకు పన్ను కట్టి, ఆ మనుష్యులలోను పశువులలోను గాడిదలలోను గొఱ్ఱెమేకల లోను ఐదువందలకు ఒకటిచొప్పున వారి సగ ములోనుండి తీసికొని

28. And take a portion unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle one of five hundred, of the women and of the oxen and of the asses and of the sheep

29. యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠార్పణముగా యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరుకు ఇయ్యవలెను.

29. and ye shall take it of their half and give it unto Eleazer the priest, an heave offering unto the LORD.

30. మనుష్యుల లోను పశువులలోను గాడిదలలోను గొఱ్ఱెమేకలలోను సమస్తవిధముల జంతువులలోను ఏబదింటికి ఒకటిచొప్పున, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు సగములోనుండి తీసికొని యెహోవా మందిరమును కాపాడు లేవీయులకు ఇయ్యవలెను.

30. And of the half of the children of Israel, take one of fifty, of the women, of the oxen, of the asses and of the sheep, and of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites which wait upon the habitation of the LORD.

31. యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు మోషేయు యాజ కుడైన ఎలియాజరును చేసిరి.

31. And Moses and Eleazer the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

32. ఆ దోపుడుసొమ్ము, అనగా ఆ సైనికులు కొల్లబెట్టిన సొమ్ములో మిగిలినది

32. And the booty and the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy five thousand sheep:

33. ఆరులక్షల డెబ్బదియయిదు గొఱ్ఱెమేకలును,

33. and seventy two thousand oxen:

34. డెబ్బది రెండువేల పశువులును, అరువది యొకవేయి గాడిదలును,

34. and sixty one thousand asses:

35. ముప్పది రెండు వేలమంది పురుషసంయోగమెరుగని స్త్రీలును,

35. and thirty two thousand women that had lien by no man.

36. అందులో అరవంతు, అనగా సైన్యముగా పోయినవారి వంతు, గొఱ్ఱెమేకల లెక్కయెంతనగా మూడు లక్షల ముప్పది యేడువేల ఐదువందలు. ఆ గొఱ్ఱెమేకలలో యెహోవాకు చెల్లవలసిన పన్ను ఆరువందల డెబ్బది యయిదు, ఆ పశువులు ముప్పదియారువేలు.

36. And the half which was the part of them that went out to war, was three hundred thousand and thirty seven thousand and five hundred sheep:

37. వాటిలో యెహోవా పన్ను డెబ్బదిరెండు.

37. And the LORD's part of the sheep was six hundred and seventy five.

38. ఆ గాడిదలు ముప్పది వేల ఐదువందలు,

38. And the oxen were thirty six thousand, of which the LORD's part was seventy two.

39. వాటిలో యెహోవా పన్ను అరువది యొకటి.

39. And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred, of which the LORD's part was sixty one.

40. మనుష్యులు పదునారు వేలమంది. వారిలో యెహోవా పన్ను ముప్పది ఇద్దరు.

40. And the women were sixteen thousand, of which the LORD's part was thirty two souls.

41. యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు మోషే పన్నును, అనగా యెహోవాకు చెల్లవలసిన ప్రతిష్ఠార్పణమును యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరున కిచ్చెను.

41. And Moses gave that sum which was the LORD's heave offering unto Eleazer the priest: as the LORD commanded Moses.

42. సైనికులయొద్ద మోషే తీసికొని ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కిచ్చిన సగమునుండి లేవీయుల కిచ్చెను.

42. And the other half of the children of Israel which Moses separated from the men of war

43. మూడులక్షల ముప్పదియేడువేల ఐదువందల గొఱ్ఱెమేకలును

43. (that is to wete, the half that pertained unto the congregation) was three hundred thousand and thirty seven thousand and five hundred sheep:

44. ముప్పది ఆరువేల గోవులును ముప్పదివేల ఐదువందల గాడిదలును

44. and thirty six thousand oxen:

45. పదునారువేల మంది మనుష్యులును సమాజమునకు కలిగిన సగమై యుండగా, మోషే

45. and thirty thousand asses and five hundred:

46. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు వచ్చిన ఆ సగమునుండి మనుష్యులలోను జంతువులలోను

46. and sixteen thousand women.

47. ఏబ దింటికి ఒకటిచొప్పున తీసి, యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞా పించినట్లు యెహోవా మందిరమును కాపాడు లేవీయుల కిచ్చెను.

47. And Moses took of this half that pertained unto the children of Israel: one of every fifty, both of the women and of the cattle, and gave them unto the Levites which waited upon the habitation of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.

48. అప్పుడు సేనా సహస్రముల నియామకులు, అనగా సహస్రాధిపతులును శతాధిపతులును మోషే యొద్దకు వచ్చి

48. And the officers of thousands of the host, the captains over the thousands and the captains over the hundreds came forth and said unto Moses:

49. నీ సేవకులమైన మేము మా చేతిక్రింద నున్న యోధులను లెక్కించి మొత్తము చేసితివిు; మాలో ఒక్కడైనను మొత్తమునకు తక్కువ కాలేదు.

49. Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war, which were under our hand, and there lacked not one man of them.

50. కాబట్టి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని మా నిమిత్తము ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము కలుగునట్లు మేము మాలో ప్రతిమనుష్యునికి దొరికిన బంగారు నగలను గొలుసులను కడియములను ఉంగరము లను పోగులను పతకములను యెహోవాకు అర్పణముగా తెచ్చియున్నామని చెప్పగా

50. We have therefore brought a present unto the LORD what every man found of Jewels of gold, chains, bracelets, rings, earrings and spangles, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.

51. మోషేయు యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు నగలుగా చేయబడిన ఆ బంగారును వారి యొద్ద తీసికొనిరి.

51. And Moses and Eleazer took the gold of them: Jewels of all manner fashions.

52. సహస్రాధిపతులును శతాధిపతులును ప్రతిష్ఠార్పణముగా యెహోవాకు అర్పించిన బంగార మంతయు పదునారువేల ఏడు వందల ఏబది తులములు.

52. And all the gold of the heave offering of the LORD, of the captains over thousands and hundreds was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty sicles,

53. ఆ సైనికులలో ప్రతివాడును తన మట్టుకు తాను కొల్ల సొమ్ము తెచ్చుకొనియుండెను.

53. which(for) the men of war had spoiled, every man for himself.

54. అప్పుడు మోషేయు యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరును సహస్రాధిపతులయొద్ద నుండియు శతాధిపతులయొద్దనుండియు ఆ బంగారును తీసికొని యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు జ్ఞాపకార్థముగా ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారమున ఉంచిరి.

54. And Moses and Eleazer the priest took the gold of the captains over the thousands and over the hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of witness: to be a memorial unto the children of Israel, before the LORD.
