1. మీరు విగ్రహములను చేసికొనకూడదు. చెక్కిన ప్రతిమనుగాని బొమ్మనుగాని నిలువపెట్టకూడదు. మీరు సాగిలపడుటకు ఏదొక రూపముగా చెక్కబడిన రాతిని మీ దేశములో నిలుపకూడదు. నేను మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను.

1. 'Ye do not make to yourselves idols; and graven image or standing image ye do not set up to yourselves; and a stone of imagery ye do not put in your land, to bow yourselves to it; for I [am] Jehovah your God.

2. నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతి దినములను మీరు ఆచరింపవలెను, నా పరిశుద్ధమందిరమును సన్మానింపవలెను, నేను యెహోవాను.

2. 'My sabbaths ye do keep, and My sanctuary ye do reverence; I [am] Jehovah.

3. మీరు నా కట్టడలనుబట్టి నడుచుకొని నా ఆజ్ఞలను ఆచరించి వాటిని అనుసరించి ప్రవర్తించినయెడల

3. 'If in My statutes ye walk, and My commands ye keep, and have done them,

4. మీ వర్షకాలములలో మీకు వర్షమిచ్చెదను, మీ భూమి పంటలనిచ్చును, మీ పొలములచెట్లు ఫలించును,

4. then I have given your rains in their season, and the land hath given her produce, and the tree of the field doth give its fruit;

5. మీ ద్రాక్ష పండ్ల కాలమువరకు మీ నూర్పు సాగుచుండును, మీరు తృప్తిగా భుజించి మీ దేశములో నిర్భయముగా నివసించెదరు.

5. and reached to you hath the threshing, the gathering, and the gathering doth reach the sowing -[time]; and ye have eaten your bread to satiety, and have dwelt confidently in your land.

6. ఆ దేశములో నేను మీకు క్షేమము కలుగజేసెదను. మీరు పండుకొనునప్పుడు ఎవడును మిమ్మును భయపెట్టడు, ఆ దేశములో దుష్టమృగములు లేకుండ చేసెదను, మీ దేశములోనికి ఖడ్గమురాదు;

6. 'And I have given peace in the land, and ye have lain down, and there is none causing trembling; and I have caused evil beasts to cease out of the land, and the sword doth not pass over into your land.

7. మీరు మీ శత్రువులను తరిమెదరు; వారు మీ యెదుట ఖడ్గముచేత పడెదరు.

7. 'And ye have pursued your enemies, and they have fallen before you by the sword;

8. మీలో అయిదుగురు నూరుమందిని తరుముదురు; నూరుమంది పదివేలమందిని తరుముదురు, మీ శత్రువులు మీయెదుట ఖడ్గముచేత కూలుదురు.

8. and five of you have pursued a hundred, and a hundred of you do pursue a myriad; and your enemies have fallen before you by the sword.

9. ఏలయనగా నేను మిమ్మును కటాక్షించి మీకు సంతానమిచ్చి మిమ్మును విస్తరింపచేసి మీతో నేను చేసిన నిబంధనను స్థాపించెదను.

9. 'And I have turned unto you, and have made you fruitful, and have multiplied you, and have established My covenant with you;

10. మీరు చాలాకాలము నిలువైయున్న పాతగిలిన ధాన్యమును తినెదరు; క్రొత్తది వచ్చినను పాతది మిగిలి యుండును.

10. and ye have eaten old [store], and the old because of the new ye bring out.

11. నా మందిరమును మీ మధ్య ఉంచెదను; మీ యందు నా మనస్సు అసహ్యపడదు.

11. 'And I have given My tabernacle in your midst, and My soul doth not loathe you;

12. నేను మీ మధ్య నడిచెదను మీకు దేవుడనైయుందును; మీరు నాకు ప్రజలైయుందురు.

12. and I have walked habitually in your midst, and have become your God, and ye -- ye are become My people;

13. మీరు ఐగుప్తీయులకు దాసులు కాకుండ వారి దేశములోనుండి మిమ్మును రప్పించితిని; నేను మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను. నేను మీ కాడి పలుపులను తెంపి మిమ్మును నిలువుగా నడవచేసితిని.

13. I [am] Jehovah your God, who have brought you out of the land of the Egyptians, from being their servants; and I break the bars of your yoke, and cause you to go erect.

14. మీరు నా మాట వినక నా ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరింపక

14. 'And if ye do not hearken to Me, and do not all these commands;

15. నా కట్టడలను నిరాకరించినయెడలను, నా ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరింపక నా నిబంధనను మీరునట్లు మీరు నా తీర్పుల విషయమై అసహ్యించుకొనినయెడలను,

15. and if at My statutes ye kick, and if My judgments your soul loathe, so as not to do all My commands -- to your breaking My covenant --

16. నేను మీకు చేయునదేమనగా, మీ కన్నులను క్షీణింపచేయునట్టియు ప్రాణమును ఆయాసపరచునట్టియు తాపజ్వరమును క్షయ రోగమును మీ మీదికి రప్పించెదను. మీరు విత్తిన విత్తనములు మీకు వ్యర్థములగును, మీ శత్రువులు వాటిపంటను తినెదరు;

16. I also do this to you, and I have appointed over you trouble, the consumption, and the burning fever, consuming eyes, and causing pain of soul; and your seed in vain ye have sowed, and your enemies have eaten it;

17. నేను మీకు పగవాడనవుదును; మీ శత్రువుల యెదుట మీరు చంపబడెదరు; మీ విరోధులు మిమ్మును ఏలెదరు; మిమ్మును ఎవరును తరుమకపోయినను మీరు పారిపోయెదరు.

17. and I have set My face against you, and ye have been smitten before your enemies; and those hating you have ruled over you, and ye have fled, and there is none pursuing you.

18. ఇవన్నియు సంభవించినను మీరింక నా మాటలు విననియెడల నేను మీ పాపములను బట్టి మరి ఏడంతలుగా మిమ్మును దండించెదను.

18. 'And if unto these ye hearken not to Me, -- then I have added to chastise you seven times for your sins;

19. మీ బల గర్వమును భంగపరచి, ఆకాశము ఇనుమువలెను భూమి ఇత్తడివలెను ఉండచేసెదను.

19. and I have broken the pride of your strength, and have made your heavens as iron, and your earth as brass;

20. మీ బలము ఉడిగిపోవును; మీ భూమి ఫలింపకుండును; మీ దేశవృక్షములు ఫలమియ్యకుండును.

20. and consumed hath been your strength in vain, and your land doth not give her produce, and the tree of the land doth not give its fruit.

21. మీరు నా మాట విననొల్లక నాకు విరోధముగా నడిచిన యెడల నేను మీ పాపములనుబట్టి మరి ఏడంతలుగా మిమ్మును బాధించెదను.

21. 'And if ye walk with Me [in] opposition, and are not willing to hearken to Me, then I have added to you a plague seven times, according to your sins,

22. మీ మధ్యకు అడవిమృగములను రప్పించెదను; అవి మిమ్మును సంతాన రహితులగా చేసి మీ పశువులను హరించి మిమ్మును కొద్ది మందిగా చేయును. మీ మార్గములు పాడైపోవును.

22. and sent against you the beast of the field, and it hath bereaved you; and I have cut off your cattle, and have made you few, and your ways have been desolate.

23. శిక్షలమూలముగా మీరు నాయెదుట గుణపడక నాకు విరోధముగా నడిచినయెడల

23. 'And if by these ye are not instructed by Me, and have walked with Me [in] opposition,

24. నేనుకూడ మీకు విరోధముగా నడిచెదను; మీ పాపములను బట్టి ఇక ఏడంతలుగా మిమ్మును దండించెదను.

24. then I have walked -- I also -- with you in opposition, and have smitten you, even I, seven times for your sins;

25. మీమీదికి ఖడ్గమును రప్పించెదను; అది నా నిబంధనవిషయమై ప్రతిదండన చేయును; మీరు మీ పట్టణములలో కూడియుండగా మీ మధ్యకు తెగులును రప్పించెదను; మీరు శత్రువులచేతికి అప్పగింపబడెదరు.

25. and I have brought in on you a sword, executing the vengeance of a covenant; and ye have been gathered unto your cities, and I have sent pestilence into your midst, and ye have been given into the hand of an enemy.

26. నేను మీ ఆహారమును, అనగా మీ ప్రాణాధారమును తీసివేసిన తరువాత పదిమంది స్త్రీలు ఒక్క పొయ్యిలోనే మీకు ఆహారము వండి తూనికెచొప్పున మీ ఆహారమును మీకు మరల ఇచ్చెదరు, మీరు తినెదరు గాని తృప్తి పొందరు.

26. 'In My breaking to you the staff of bread, then ten women have baked your bread in one oven, and have given back your bread by weight; and ye have eaten, and are not satisfied.

27. నేను ఈలాగు చేసినతరువాత మీరు నా మాట వినక నాకు విరోధముగా నడిచినయెడల

27. 'And if for this ye hearken not to Me, and have walked with Me in opposition,

28. నేను కోపపడి మీకు విరోధముగా నడిచెదను. నేనే మీ పాపములను బట్టి యేడంతలుగా మిమ్మును దండించెదను.

28. then I have walked with you in the fury of opposition, and have chastised you, even I, seven times for your sins.

29. మీరు మీ కుమారుల మాంసమును తినెదరు, మీ కుమార్తెల మాంసమును తినెదరు.

29. 'And ye have eaten the flesh of your sons; even flesh of your daughters ye do eat.

30. నేను మీ యున్నతస్థలములను పాడు చేసెదను; మీ విగ్రహములను పడగొట్టెదను; మీ బొమ్మల పీనుగులమీద మీ పీనుగులను పడవేయించెదను.

30. And I have destroyed your high places, and cut down your images, and have put your carcases on the carcases of your idols, and My soul hath loathed you;

31. నా మనస్సు మీయందు అసహ్యపడును, నేను మీ పట్టణములను పాడు చేసెదను; మీ పరిశుద్ధస్థలములను పాడు చేసెదను; మీ సువాసనగల వాటి సువాసనను ఆఘ్రాణింపను.

31. and I have made your cities a waste, and have made desolate your sanctuaries, and I smell not at your sweet fragrances;

32. నేనే మీ దేశమును పాడుచేసిన తరువాత దానిలో కాపురముండు మీ శత్రువులు దాని చూచి ఆశ్చర్యపడెదరు.

32. and I have made desolate the land, and your enemies, who are dwelling in it, have been astonished at it.

33. జనములలోనికి మిమ్మును చెదరగొట్టి మీవెంట కత్తి దూసెదను, మీ దేశము పాడైపోవును, మీ పట్టములు పాడుపడును.

33. And you I scatter among nations, and have drawn out after you a sword, and your land hath been a desolation, and your cities are a waste.

34. మీరు మీ శత్రువుల దేశములో ఉండగా మీ దేశము పాడైయున్న దినములన్నియు అది తన విశ్రాంతికాలములను అనుభవించును.

34. 'Then doth the land enjoy its sabbaths -- all the days of the desolation, and ye in the land of your enemies -- then doth the land rest, and hath enjoyed its sabbaths;

35. అది పాడైయుండు దినములన్నియు అది విశ్రమించును. మీరు దానిలో నివసించినప్పుడు అది విశ్రాంతికాలములో పొందకపోయిన విశ్రాంతిని అది పాడైయుండు దినములలో అనుభవించును.

35. all the days of the desolation it resteth that which it hath not rested in your sabbaths in your dwelling on it.

36. మీలో మిగిలినవారు తమ శత్రువుల దేశములలో ఉండగా వారి హృదయములలో అధైర్యము పుట్టించెదను; కొట్టుకొని పోవుచున్న ఆకు చప్పుడు వారిని తరుమును, ఖడ్గము ఎదుటనుండి పారిపోవునట్లు వారు ఆ చప్పుడు విని పారిపోయెదరు; తరుమువాడు లేకయే పడెదరు.

36. 'And those who are left of you -- I have also brought a faintness into their heart in the lands of their enemies, and the sound of a leaf driven away hath pursued them, and they have fled -- flight from a sword -- and they have fallen, and there is none pursuing.

37. తరుమువాడు లేకయే వారు ఖడ్గమును చూచినట్టుగా ఒకనిమీద నొకడు పడెదరు; మీ శత్రువులయెదుట మీరు నిలువలేక పోయెదరు.

37. And they have stumbled one on another, as from the face of a sword, and there is none pursuing, and ye have no standing before your enemies,

38. మీరు జనముగానుండక నశించెదరు. మీ శత్రువుల దేశము మిమ్మును తినివేయును.

38. and ye have perished among the nations, and the land of your enemies hath consumed you.

39. మీలో మిగిలినవారు మీ శత్రువుల దేశములలో తమ దోషములనుబట్టి క్షీణించిపోయెదరు. మరియు వారు తమమీదికి వచ్చిన తమ తండ్రుల దోషములనుబట్టి క్షీణించిపోయెదరు.

39. 'And those who are left of you -- they consume away in their iniquity, in the lands of your enemies; and also in the iniquities of their fathers, with them they consume away.

40. వారు నాకు విరోధముగా చేసిన తిరుగుబాటును తమ దోషమును తమ తండ్రుల దోషమును ఒప్పుకొని, తాము నాకు విరోధముగా నడిచితిమనియు

40. 'And -- they have confessed their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they have trespassed against Me, and also, that they have walked with Me, in opposition,

41. నేను తమకు విరోధముగా నడిచితిననియు, తమ శత్రువుల దేశములోనికి తమ్మును రప్పించితిననియు, ఒప్పు కొనినయెడల, అనగా లోబడని తమ హృదయములు లొంగి తాము చేసిన దోషమునకు ప్రతి దండనను అనుభవించితిమని ఒప్పుకొనినయెడల,

41. also I walk to them in opposition, and have brought them into the land of their enemies -- or then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and then they accept the punishment of their iniquity, --

42. నేను యాకోబుతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను జ్ఞాపకము చేసి కొందును; నేను ఇస్సాకుతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను నేను అబ్రాహాముతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొందును; ఆ దేశమునుకూడ జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొందును.
లూకా 1:72-73

42. then I have remembered My covenant [with] Jacob, and also My covenant [with] Isaac, and also My covenant [with] Abraham I remember, and the land I remember.

43. వారిచేత విడువబడి వారు లేనప్పుడు పాడైపోయిన వారి దేశమును తన విశ్రాంతిదినములను అనుభవించును. వారు నా తీర్పులను తిరస్కరించి నా కట్టడలను అసహ్యించుకొనిరి. ఆ హేతువుచేతనే వారు తమ దోషశిక్ష న్యాయమని ఒప్పుకొందురు.

43. 'And -- the land is left of them, and doth enjoy its sabbaths, in the desolation without them, and they accept the punishment of their iniquity, because, even because, against My judgments they have kicked, and My statutes hath their soul loathed,

44. అయితే వారు తమ శత్రువుల దేశములో ఉన్నప్పుడు వారిని నిరాకరింపను; నా నిబంధనను భంగపరచి వారిని కేవలము నశింపజేయునట్లు వారి యందు అసహ్యపడను. ఏలయనగా నేను వారి దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను.

44. and also even this, in their being in the land of their enemies, I have not rejected them, nor have I loathed them, to consume them, to break My covenant with them; for I [am] Jehovah their God; --

45. నేను వారికి దేవుడనైయుండునట్లు వారి పూర్వికులను జనములయెదుట ఐగుప్తులోనుండి రప్పించి వారితో చేసిన నిబంధనను ఆ పూర్వికులనుబట్టి జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొందును. నేను యెహోవాను అని చెప్పుము అనెను.

45. then I have remembered for them the covenant of the ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt before the eyes of the nations to become their God; I [am] Jehovah.'

46. యెహోవా మోషే ద్వారా సీనాయికొండమీద తనకును ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకును మధ్య నియమించిన కట్టడలును తీర్పులును ఆజ్ఞలును ఇవే.

46. These [are] the statutes, and the judgments, and the laws, which Jehovah hath given between Him and the sons of Israel, in mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.
