1. మీరు విగ్రహములను చేసికొనకూడదు. చెక్కిన ప్రతిమనుగాని బొమ్మనుగాని నిలువపెట్టకూడదు. మీరు సాగిలపడుటకు ఏదొక రూపముగా చెక్కబడిన రాతిని మీ దేశములో నిలుపకూడదు. నేను మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను.

1. Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up {any} image of stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I {am} the LORD your God.

2. నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతి దినములను మీరు ఆచరింపవలెను, నా పరిశుద్ధమందిరమును సన్మానింప వలెను, నేను యెహోవాను.

2. Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I {am} the LORD.

3. మీరు నా కట్టడలనుబట్టి నడుచుకొని నా ఆజ్ఞలను ఆచరించి వాటిని అనుసరించి ప్రవర్తించినయెడల

3. If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

4. మీ వర్షకాలములలో మీకు వర్షమిచ్చెదను, మీ భూమి పంటల నిచ్చును, మీ పొలములచెట్లు ఫలించును,

4. Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit:

5. మీ ద్రాక్ష పండ్ల కాలమువరకు మీ నూర్పు సాగుచుండును, మీరు తృప్తిగా భుజించి మీ దేశములో నిర్భయముగా నివసించెదరు.

5. And your threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

6. ఆ దేశములో నేను మీకు క్షేమము కలుగజేసె దను. మీరు పండుకొనునప్పుడు ఎవడును మిమ్మును భయ పెట్టడు, ఆ దేశములో దుష్టమృగములు లేకుండ చేసెదను, మీ దేశములోనికి ఖడ్గమురాదు;

6. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make {you} afraid: and I will rid the land of evil beasts, neither shall the sword go through your land.

7. మీరు మీ శత్రు వులను తరిమెదరు; వారు మీ యెదుట ఖడ్గముచేత పడె దరు.

7. And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

8. మీలో అయిదుగురు నూరుమందిని తరుముదురు; నూరుమంది పదివేలమందిని తరుముదురు, మీ శత్రువులు మీయెదుట ఖడ్గముచేత కూలుదురు.

8. And five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

9. ఏలయనగా నేను మిమ్మును కటాక్షించి మీకు సంతానమిచ్చి మిమ్మును విస్త రింపచేసి మీతో నేను చేసిన నిబంధనను స్థాపించెదను.

9. For I will have respect to you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

10. మీరు చాలాకాలము నిలువైయున్న పాతగిలిన ధాన్య మును తినెదరు; క్రొత్తది వచ్చినను పాతది మిగిలి యుండును.

10. And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

11. నా మందిరమును మీ మధ్య ఉంచెదను; మీ యందు నా మనస్సు అసహ్యపడదు.

11. And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

12. నేను మీ మధ్య నడిచెదను మీకు దేవుడనైయుందును; మీరు నాకు ప్రజలై యుందురు.

12. And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

13. మీరు ఐగుప్తీయులకు దాసులు కాకుండ వారి దేశములోనుండి మిమ్మును రప్పించితిని; నేను మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను. నేను మీ కాడి పలుపులను తెంపి మిమ్మును నిలువుగా నడవచేసితిని.

13. I {am} the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bond-men, and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

14. మీరు నా మాట వినక నా ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరింపక

14. But if ye will not hearken to me, and will not do all these commandments;

15. నా కట్టడలను నిరాకరించినయెడలను, నా ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరింపక నా నిబంధనను మీరునట్లు మీరు నా తీర్పుల విషయమై అసహ్యించుకొనినయెడలను,

15. And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul shall abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, {but} that ye break my covenant:

16. నేను మీకు చేయునదేమనగా, మీ కన్నులను క్షీణింపచేయునట్టియు ప్రాణమును ఆయాసపరచునట్టియు తాపజ్వరమును క్షయ రోగమును మీ మీదికి రప్పించెదను. మీరు విత్తిన విత్తనములు మీకు వ్యర్థములగును, మీ శత్రువులు వాటిపంటను తినెదరు;

16. I also will do this to you, I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

17. నేను మీకు పగవాడనవుదును; మీ శత్రువుల యెదుట మీరు చంపబడెదరు; మీ విరోధులు మిమ్మును ఏలెదరు; మిమ్మును ఎవరును తరుమకపోయినను మీరు పారిపోయెదరు.

17. And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you, and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

18. ఇవన్నియు సంభవించినను మీరింక నా మాటలు విననియెడల నేను మీ పాపములను బట్టి మరి ఏడంతలుగా మిమ్మును దండించెదను.

18. And if ye will not yet for all this hearken to me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

19. మీ బల గర్వమును భంగపరచి, ఆకాశము ఇనుమువలెను భూమి ఇత్తడివలెను ఉండచేసెదను.

19. And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:

20. మీ బలము ఉడిగిపోవును; మీ భూమి ఫలింపకుండును; మీ దేశవృక్షములు ఫల మియ్యకుండును.

20. And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

21. మీరు నా మాట విననొల్లక నాకు విరోధముగా నడిచిన యెడల నేను మీ పాపములనుబట్టి మరి ఏడంతలుగా మిమ్మును బాధించెదను.

21. And if ye shall walk contrary to me, and will not hearken to me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

22. మీ మధ్యకు అడవిమృగములను రప్పించెదను; అవి మిమ్మును సంతాన రహితులగా చేసి మీ పశువులను హరించి మిమ్మును కొద్ది మందిగా చేయును. మీ మార్గములు పాడైపోవును.

22. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number, and your {high} -ways shall be desolate.

23. శిక్షలమూలముగా మీరు నాయెదుట గుణపడక నాకు విరోధముగా నడిచినయెడల

23. And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary to me;

24. నేనుకూడ మీకు విరోధ ముగా నడిచెదను; మీ పాపములను బట్టి ఇక ఏడంతలుగా మిమ్మును దండించెదను.

24. Then will I also walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

25. మీమీదికి ఖడ్గమును రప్పించె దను; అది నా నిబంధనవిషయమై ప్రతి దండన చేయును; మీరు మీ పట్టణములలో కూడియుండగా మీ మధ్యకు తెగులును రప్పించెదను; మీరు శత్రువులచేతికి అప్పగింప బడెదరు.

25. And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of {my} covenant: and when ye are gathered within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you: and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

26. నేను మీ ఆహారమును, అనగా మీ ప్రాణా ధారమును తీసివేసిన తరువాత పదిమంది స్త్రీలు ఒక్క పొయ్యిలోనే మీకు ఆహారము వండి తూనికెచొప్పునమీ ఆహారమును మీకు మరల ఇచ్చెదరు, మీరు తినెదరు గాని తృప్తి పొందరు.

26. {And} when I have broke the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver {you} your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

27. నేను ఈలాగు చేసినతరువాత మీరు నా మాట వినక నాకు విరోధముగా నడిచినయెడల

27. And if ye will not for all this hearken to me, but walk contrary to me;

28. నేను కోపపడి మీకు విరోధముగా నడిచెదను. నేనే మీ పాపములను బట్టి యేడంతలుగా మిమ్మును దండించెదను.

28. Then I will walk contrary to you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

29. మీరు మీ కుమారుల మాంసమును తినెదరు, మీ కుమార్తెల మాంసమును తినెదరు.

29. And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

30. నేను మీ యున్నతస్థలములను పాడు చేసెదను; మీ విగ్రహములను పడగొట్టెదను; మీ బొమ్మల పీనుగులమీద మీ పీనుగులను పడవేయించెదను.

30. And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcasses upon the carcasses of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

31. నా మనస్సు మీయందు అసహ్యపడును, నేను మీ పట్టణ ములను పాడు చేసెదను; మీ పరిశుద్ధస్థలములను పాడు చేసెదను; మీ సువాసనగల వాటి సువాసనను ఆఘ్రాణింపను.

31. And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the savor of your sweet odors.

32. నేనే మీ దేశమును పాడుచేసిన తరువాత దానిలో కాపురముండు మీ శత్రువులు దాని చూచి ఆశ్చర్యపడెదరు.

32. And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it.

33. జనములలోనికి మిమ్మును చెదరగొట్టి మీవెంట కత్తి దూసెదను, మీ దేశము పాడైపోవును, మీ పట్టములు పాడుపడును.

33. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

34. మీరు మీ శత్రువుల దేశములో ఉండగా మీ దేశము పాడైయున్న దినము లన్నియు అది తన విశ్రాంతికాలములను అనుభవించును.

34. Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye {are} in your enemies' land; {even} then shall the land rest, and enjoy its sabbaths.

35. అది పాడైయుండు దినములన్నియు అది విశ్రమించును. మీరు దానిలో నివసించినప్పుడు అది విశ్రాంతికాలములో పొందకపోయిన విశ్రాంతిని అది పాడైయుండు దినములలో అనుభవించును.

35. As long as it lieth desolate, it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.

36. మీలో మిగిలినవారు తమ శత్రు వుల దేశములలో ఉండగా వారి హృదయములలో అధైర్యము పుట్టించెదను; కొట్టుకొని పోవుచున్న ఆకు చప్పుడు వారిని తరుమును, ఖడ్గము ఎదుటనుండి పారిపోవునట్లు వారు ఆ చప్పుడు విని పారిపోయెదరు; తరుమువాడు లేకయే పడెదరు.

36. And upon them that are left {alive} of you, I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall, when none pursueth.

37. తరుమువాడు లేకయే వారు ఖడ్గమును చూచినట్టుగా ఒకనిమీద నొకడు పడెదరు; మీ శత్రు వులయెదుట మీరు నిలువలేక పోయెదరు.

37. And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

38. మీరు జనముగానుండక నశించెదరు. మీ శత్రువుల దేశము మిమ్మును తినివేయును.

38. And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

39. మీలో మిగిలినవారు మీ శత్రు వుల దేశములలో తమ దోషములనుబట్టి క్షీణించిపోయెదరు. మరియు వారు తమమీదికి వచ్చిన తమ తండ్రుల దోషములనుబట్టి క్షీణించిపోయెదరు.

39. And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

40. వారు నాకు విరో ధముగా చేసిన తిరుగుబాటును తమ దోషమును తమ తండ్రుల దోషమును ఒప్పుకొని, తాము నాకు విరోధముగా నడిచితిమనియు

40. If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary to me;

41. నేను తమకు విరోధముగా నడి చితిననియు, తమ శత్రువుల దేశములోనికి తమ్మును రప్పిం చితిననియు, ఒప్పు కొనినయెడల, అనగా లోబడని తమ హృదయములు లొంగి తాము చేసిన దోషమునకు ప్రతి దండనను అనుభవించితిమని ఒప్పుకొనినయెడల,

41. And {that} I also have walked contrary to them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts shall be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:

42. నేను యాకోబుతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను జ్ఞాపకము చేసి కొందును; నేను ఇస్సాకుతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను నేను అబ్రాహాముతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను జ్ఞాపకము చేసి కొందును; ఆ దేశమునుకూడ జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొందును.
లూకా 1:72-73

42. Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

43. వారిచేత విడువబడి వారు లేనప్పుడు పాడైపోయిన వారి దేశమును తన విశ్రాంతిదినములను అనుభవించును. వారు నా తీర్పులను తిరస్కరించి నా కట్టడలను అసహ్యించు కొనిరి. ఆ హేతువుచేతనే వారు తమ దోషశిక్ష న్యాయమని ఒప్పుకొందురు.

43. The land also shall be left by them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.

44. అయితే వారు తమ శత్రువుల దేశములో ఉన్నప్పుడు వారిని నిరాకరింపను; నా నిబంధనను భంగపరచి వారిని కేవలము నశింపజేయునట్లు వారి యందు అసహ్యపడను. ఏలయనగా నేను వారి దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను.

44. And yet for all that, when they shall be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them; for I {am} the LORD their God.

45. నేను వారికి దేవుడనైయుండునట్లు వారి పూర్వికులను జనములయెదుట ఐగుప్తులోనుండి రప్పించి వారితో చేసిన నిబంధనను ఆ పూర్వికులనుబట్టి జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొందును. నేను యెహోవాను అని చెప్పుము అనెను.

45. But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I {am} the LORD.

46. యెహోవా మోషేద్వారా సీనాయికొండమీద తన కును ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకును మధ్య నియమించిన కట్టడలును తీర్పులును ఆజ్ఞలును ఇవే.

46. These {are} the statutes, and judgments, and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
