1. King Nebuchadnezzar sent this letter to the many nations and language groups living around the world. Greetings:

2. మహోన్నతుడగు దేవుడు నా యెడల చేసిన అద్భుతములను సూచక క్రియలను మీకు తెలియజేయుటకు నాకు మనస్సు కలిగెను.

2. I am very happy to tell you about the miracles and wonderful things that the Most High God did for me.

3. ఆయన సూచక క్రియలు ఎంతో బ్రహ్మాండమైనవి; ఆయన అద్భుతములు ఎంతో ఘనమైనవి, ఆయన రాజ్యము శాశ్వత రాజ్యము; ఆయన ఆధిపత్యము తరతరములు నిలుచుచున్నది.

3. God has done amazing miracles! He has done powerful miracles! His kingdom continues forever; his rule will continue for all generations.

4. I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at my palace. I was happy and successful.

5. నేను నా పడకమీద పరుండియుండగా నా మనస్సున పుట్టిన తలంపులు నన్ను కలతపెట్టెను.

5. I had a dream that made me afraid. I was lying on my bed, and I saw pictures and visions in my mind. These things made me very afraid.

6. కావున ఆ స్వప్నభావము నాకు తెలియజేయుటకై బబులోను జ్ఞానులనందరిని నా యెదుటికి పిలువనంపవలెనని ఆజ్ఞ నేనిచ్చితిని.

6. So I gave an order that all the wise men of Babylon be brought to me to tell me what my dream meant.

7. శకున గాండ్రును గారడీవిద్యగలవారును కల్దీయులును జ్యోతిష్యులును నా సన్నిధికి రాగా నేను కనిన కలను వారితో చెప్పితిని గాని వారు దాని భావమును నాకు తెలుపలేక పోయిరి.

7. When the men of magic and the Chaldeans came, I told them about the dream, but they could not tell me what it meant.

8. కడపట బెల్తెషాజరను నా దేవత పేరునుబట్టి బిరుదుపొందిన దానియేలను వాడు నా యెదుటికి వచ్చెను; పరిశుద్ధ దేవతల ఆత్మ అతనియందుండెను, కావున నేనతనికి నా కలను చెప్పితిని.

8. Finally, Daniel came to me. (I gave Daniel the name, Belteshazzar, to honor my god. The spirit of the holy gods is in him.) I told him about my dream.

9. ఎట్లనగా శకునగాండ్ర అధిపతి యగు బెల్తెషాజరూ, పరిశుద్ధ దేవతల ఆత్మ నీయందున్న దనియు, ఏ మర్మము నిన్ను కలతపెట్టదనియు నేనెరుగుదును గనుక నేను కనిన కలయు దాని భావమును నాకు తెలియ జెప్పుము.

9. I said, 'Belteshazzar, you are the most important of all the men of magic. I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you. I know there is no secret that is too hard for you to understand. This was what I dreamed. Tell me what it means.

10. నేను నా పడకమీద పరుండియుండగా నాకు ఈ దర్శనములు కలిగెను; నేను చూడగా భూమిమధ్యను మిగుల ఎత్తుగల యొక చెట్టు కనబడెను.

10. These are the visions I saw while I was lying in my bed: I looked, and there in front of me was a tree standing in the middle of the earth. The tree was very tall.

11. ఆ చెట్టు వృద్ధి పొంది బ్రహ్మాండమైనదాయెను; దాని పైకొమ్మలు ఆకా శమునకంటునంత ఎత్తుగాను దాని ఆకారము భూతలమంత విశాలముగాను ఉండెను.

11. The tree grew large and strong. The top of the tree touched the sky. It could be seen from anywhere on earth.

12. దాని ఆకులు సొగసుగాను దాని పండ్లు విస్తారముగాను కనబడెను. అందులో సమస్త జీవకోట్లకు చాలునంత ఆహారముండెను; దాని నీడను అడవిజంతువులు పండుకొనెను, దాని కొమ్మలలో ఆకాశ పక్షులు కూర్చుండెను; సకల మనుష్యులకు చాలునంత ఆహారము దానియందుండెను.

12. The leaves of the tree were beautiful. It had much good fruit on it. And on the tree was plenty of food for everyone. The wild animals found shelter under the tree, and the birds lived in its branches. Every animal ate from the tree.

13. I was looking at those things in the vision while lying on my bed. And then I saw a holy angel coming down from heaven.

14. He spoke very loud and said, 'Cut down the tree, and cut off its branches. Strip off its leaves. Scatter its fruit around. The animals that are under the tree will run away. The birds that are in its branches will fly away.

15. అయితే అది మంచునకు తడిసి పశువుల వలె పచ్చికలో నివసించునట్లు దాని మొద్దును ఇనుము ఇత్తడి కలిసిన కట్టుతో కట్టించి, పొలములోని గడ్డిపాలగు నట్లు దానిని భూమిలో విడువుడి.

15. But let the stump and roots stay in the ground. Put a band of iron and bronze around it. The stump and roots will stay in the field with the grass all around it. It will live among the wild animals and plants in the fields. It will become wet with dew.

16. ఏడు కాలములు గడచువరకు వానికున్న మానవమనస్సునకు బదులుగా పశువు మనస్సు వానికి కలుగును.

16. He will not think like a man any longer. He will have the mind of an animal. Seven seasons will pass while he is like this.'

17. ఈ ఆజ్ఞ జాగరూకులగు దేవదూతల ప్రకటన ననుసరించి జరుగును, నిర్ణయ మైన పరిశుద్ధుల ప్రకటన ననుసరించి సంభవించును. మహోన్నతుడగు దేవుడు మానవుల రాజ్యముపైని అధికారియైయుండి, తానెవరికి అనుగ్రహింప నిచ్ఛయించునో వారికనుగ్రహించుననియు, ఆ యా రాజ్యము పైన అత్యల్ప మనుష్యులను ఆయన నియమించుచున్నాడనియు మనుష్యులందరు తెలిసికొనునట్లు ఈలాగు జరు గును.

17. Holy angels announced this punishment so that all the people on earth may know that God Most High rules over human kingdoms. God gives those kingdoms to whoever he wants, and he chooses humble people to rule them.

18. బెల్తెషాజరూ, నెబుకద్నెజరను నాకు కలిగిన దర్శనము ఇదే; నీవు తప్ప నా రాజ్యములో మరి ఏ జ్ఞానియు దాని భావము నాకు చెప్ప నేరడు. నీయందు పరిశుద్ధ దేవతల ఆత్మయున్నది గనుక నీవేదానిని చెప్ప సమర్థుడ వంటిని.

18. That is what I, King Nebuchadnezzar, dreamed. Now, Belteshazzar, tell me what it means. None of the wise men in my kingdom can tell me what that dream means. But Belteshazzar, you can interpret the dream because the spirit of the holy gods is in you.'

19. అందుకు బెల్తెషాజరను దానియేలు ఒక గంటసేపు అతి విస్మయమునొంది మనస్సునందు కలవరపడగా, రాజు - బెల్తెషాజరూ, యీ దర్శనమువలన గాని దాని భావము వలన గాని నీవు కలవరపడకుము అనెను. అంతట బెల్తెషాజరు నా యేలినవాడా, యీ దర్శనఫలము తమరిని ద్వేషించు వారికి కలుగునుగాక, దాని భావము తమరి శత్రువులకు చెందునుగాక,

19. Then Daniel (also named Belteshazzar) became very quiet for a while. What he was thinking bothered him. So the king said, 'Belteshazzar, don't let the dream or its meaning make you afraid.' Then Belteshazzar answered the king, 'My lord, I wish the dream were about your enemies, and I wish the meaning of the dream were about those against you.

20. తాము చూచిన చెట్టు వృద్ధి నొంది బ్రహ్మాండమైనదాయెను; దాని పైకొమ్మలు ఆకాశమునకంటునంత ఎత్తుగాను దాని ఆకారము భూతలమంత విశాలముగాను ఉండెను.

20. You saw a tree in your dream. The tree grew large and strong. Its top touched the sky, and it could be seen from all over the earth. Its leaves were beautiful, and it had plenty of fruit. The fruit gave plenty of food for everyone. It was a home for the wild animals, and its branches were nesting places for the birds. You saw that tree.

21. దాని ఆకులు సొగసుగాను దాని పండ్లు విస్తారములుగాను కనబడెను, అందులో సమస్త జీవకోట్లకు చాలినంత ఆహారముండెను, దాని నీడను అడవిజంతువులు పండుకొనెను, దాని కొమ్మలలో ఆకాశపక్షులు కూర్చుండెనుగదా

22. రాజా, ఆ చెట్టు నిన్ను సూచించుచున్నది; నీవు వృద్ధిపొంది మహా బలముగలవాడ వైతివి; నీ ప్రభావము వృద్ధినొంది ఆకాశమంత ఎత్తాయెను; నీ ప్రభుత్వము లోకమంతట వ్యాపించియున్నది.

22. King, you are that tree! You have become great and powerful. You are like the tall tree that touched the sky�your power reaches to the far parts of the earth.

23. చెట్టును నరుకుము, దాని నాశనము చేయుము గాని దాని మొద్దును భూమిలో ఉండనిమ్ము; ఇనుము ఇత్తిడి కలిసిన కట్టుతో ఏడు కాలములు గడచువరకు పొలములోని పచ్చికలో దాని కట్టించి, ఆకాశపుమంచుకు తడవనిచ్చి పశువులతో పాలుపొందనిమ్మని జాగరూకుడగు ఒక పరిశుద్ధుడు పరలోకమునుండి దిగివచ్చి ప్రకటించుట నీవు వింటివి గదా.

23. King, you saw a holy angel coming down from heaven. He said, 'Cut the tree down and destroy it. Put a band of iron and bronze around the stump and leave the stump and its roots in the ground. Leave it in the grass in the field. It will become wet with dew. He will live like a wild animal. Seven seasons will pass while he is like this.'

24. రాజా, యీ దర్శనభావమేదనగా, సర్వోన్నతుడగు దేవుడు రాజగు నా యేలినవానిగూర్చి చేసిన తీర్మానమేదనగా

24. 'King, this is the meaning of the dream. God Most High has commanded these things to happen to my lord the king:

25. తమయొద్ద నుండకుండ మనుష్యులు నిన్ను తరుముదురు, నీవు అడవి జంతువుల మధ్య నివాసము చేయుచు పశువులవలె గడ్డి తినెదవు; ఆకాశపు మంచు నీమీదపడి నిన్ను తడుపును; సర్వోన్నతుడగు దేవుడు మానవుల రాజ్యముపైన అధికారియై యున్నాడ నియు, తానెవనికి దాని ననుగ్రహింప నిచ్ఛయించునో వానికి అనుగ్రహించుననియు నీవు తెలిసికొనువరకు ఏడు కాల ములు నీకీలాగు జరుగును.

25. King Nebuchadnezzar, you will be forced to go away from people. You will live among the wild animals. You will eat grass like cattle, and you will become wet with dew. Seven seasons will pass, and then you will learn this lesson. You will learn God Most High rules over human kingdoms and gives them to whoever he wants.

26. చెట్టుయొక్క మొద్దునుండ నియ్యుడని వారు చెప్పిరిగదా దానివలన సర్వోన్నతుడు అధికారియని నీవు తెలిసికొనిన మీదట నీ రాజ్యము నీకు మరల ఖాయముగ వచ్చునని తెలిసికొమ్ము.

26. The command to leave the stump of the tree and its roots in the ground means this: Your kingdom will be given back to you. This will happen when you learn that Most High God rules your kingdom.

27. రాజా, నా యోచన నీ దృష్టికి అంగీకారమగును గాక; ఒకవేళ నీవు నీ పాపములుమాని నీతి న్యాయముల ననుసరించి, నీవు బాధపెట్టిన వారియందు కరుణ చూపినయెడల నీకున్న క్షేమము నీకికమీదట నుండునని దానియేలు ప్రత్యుత్తర మిచ్చెను.

27. So, king, please accept my advice. Stop sinning and do what is right. Stop doing bad things and be kind to poor people. Then you might continue to be successful.'

28. పైన జెప్పినదంతయు రాజగు నెబుకద్నెజరునకు సంభవించెను.

28. All these things happened to King Nebuchadnezzar.

29. Twelve months after the dream, King Nebuchadnezzar was walking on the roof of his palace in Babylon. While on the roof, the king said, 'Look at Babylon! I built this great city. It is my palace. I built this great place by my power. I built this place to show how great I am.'

30. రాజుబబులోనను ఈ మహా విశాలపట్టణము నా బలాధికారమును నా ప్రభావఘనతను కనపరచుటకై నా రాజధాని నగరముగా నేను కట్టించినది కాదా అని తనలో తాననుకొనెను.

31. రాజు నోట ఈ మాట యుండగా ఆకాశమునుండి యొక శబ్దము వచ్చెను, ఏదనగా రాజగు నెబుకద్నెజరూ, యిదే నీకు ప్రకటన నీ రాజ్యము నీయొద్దనుండి తొలగిపోయెను.

31. The words were still in his mouth when a voice came from heaven. The voice said, 'King Nebuchadnezzar, these things will happen to you: Your power as king has been taken away from you.

32. తమయొద్ద నుండి మనుష్యులు నిన్ను తరిమెదరు; నీవు అడవిజంతువుల మధ్య నివాసము చేయుచు పశువులవలె గడ్డి మేసెదవు; సర్వోన్నతుడగు దేవుడు మానవుల రాజ్యముపైన అధికారి యైయుండి, తానెవనికి దాని అనుగ్రహింప నిశ్చయిం చునో వానికి అనుగ్రహించునని నీవు తెలిసికొనువరకు ఏడు కాలములు నీకీలాగు జరుగునని చెప్పెను.

32. You will be forced to go away from people. You will live with the wild animals and eat grass like a cow. Seven seasons will pass before you learn your lesson. Then you will learn that God Most High rules over human kingdoms and gives them to whoever he wants.'

33. ఆ గడియలోనే ఆలాగున నెబుకద్నెజరునకు సంభ వించెను; మానవులలోనుండి అతని తరిమిరి, అతడు పశువులవలె గడ్డిమేసెను, ఆకాశపుమంచు అతని దేహమును తడపగా అతని తలవెండ్రుకలు పక్షిరాజు రెక్కల ఈకెలవంటివియు అతని గోళ్లు పక్షుల గోళ్లవంటివియు నాయెను.

33. These things happened immediately. Nebuchadnezzar was forced to go away from people. He began eating grass like a cow. He became wet from dew. His hair grew long like the feathers of an eagle, and his nails grew long like the claws of a bird.

34. ఆ కాలము గడచిన పిమ్మట నెబుకద్నె జరను నేను మరల మానవబుద్ధిగలవాడనై నా కండ్లు ఆకాశము తట్టు ఎత్తి, చిరంజీవియు సర్వోన్నతుడునగు దేవుని స్తోత్రముచేసి ఘనపరచి స్తుతించితిని; ఆయన ఆధిపత్యము చిరకాలమువరకు ఆయన రాజ్యము తరతరములకు నున్నవి.

34. Then at the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven, and I was in my right mind again. Then I gave praise to God Most High. I gave honor and glory to him who lives forever. God rules forever! His kingdom continues for all generations.

35. భూనివాసులందరు ఆయన దృష్టికి ఎన్నికకు రానివారు; ఆయన పరలోక సేనయెడలను భూనివాసులయెడలను తన చిత్తము చొప్పున జరిగించువాడు; ఆయన చేయి పట్టుకొని నీవేమి చేయుచున్నావని ఆయనతో చెప్పుటకు ఎవడును సమర్థుడుకాడు.

35. People on earth are not really important. God does what he wants with the powers of heaven and the people on earth. No one can stop his powerful hand or question what he does.

36. ఆ సమయమందు నా బుద్ధి మరల నాకు వచ్చెను, రాజ్య సంబంధమగు ప్రభావమును నా ఘనతయు నా తేజస్సును నాకు కలిగెను; నా మంత్రులును నా క్రిందియధిపతులును నాయొద్ద ఆలోచన చేయ వచ్చిరి. నా రాజ్యము నాకు స్థిరపడగా నేను మరి ఎక్కువ ఘనత నొందితిని.

36. At that time God gave me my right mind again, and he gave back my great honor and power as king. My advisors and the royal people began to ask my advice again. I became the king again�even greater and more powerful than before.

37. ఈలాగు నెబుకద్నెజరను నేను పరలోకపు రాజుయొక్క కార్యములన్నియు సత్యములును, ఆయన మార్గములు న్యాయములునై యున్న వనియు, గర్వముతో నటించు వారిని ఆయన అణపశక్తు డనియు, ఆయనను స్తుతించుచు కొనియాడుచు ఘన పరచుచు నున్నాను.

37. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, give praise, honor, and glory to the King of Heaven. Everything he does is right. He is always fair, and he is able to make proud people humble!
