1. పదియవ సంవత్సరము పదియవ నెల పండ్రెండవ దినమున యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

1. Ten years after King Jehoiachin and the rest of us had been led away as prisoners to Babylonia, the LORD spoke to me on the twelfth day of the tenth month. He said:

2. నరపుత్రుడా, నీ ముఖమును ఐగుప్తురాజైన ఫరోవైపు త్రిప్పుకొని అతనిగూర్చియు ఐగుప్తు దేశ మంతటినిగూర్చియు ఈ సమాచారమెత్తి ప్రవచింపుము ప్రభువగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా

2. Ezekiel, son of man, condemn the king of Egypt. Tell him and his people

3. ఐగుప్తు రాజైన ఫరో, నైలునదిలో పండుకొనియున్న పెద్దమొసలీ, నేను నీకు విరోధిని; నైలునది నాది, నేనే దాని కలుగ జేసితిని అని నీవు చెప్పుకొనుచున్నావే;

3. that I am saying: King of Egypt, you were like a giant crocodile lying in a river. You acted as though you owned the Nile and made it for yourself. But now I, the LORD God, am your enemy!

4. నేను నీ దవుడలకు గాలములు తగిలించి, నీ నదులలోనున్న చేపలను నీ పొలుసులకు అంటజేసి, నైలులోనుండి నిన్నును నీ పొలుసులకు అంటిన నైలు చేపలన్నిటిని బయటికి లాగెదను.

4. I will put a hook in your jaw and pull you out of the water, and all the fish in your river will stick to your scaly body.

5. నిన్నును నైలునది చేపలన్నిటిని అరణ్యములో పారబోసెదను, ఎత్తు వాడును కూర్చువాడును లేక నీవు తెరపనేల మీద పడుదువు, అడవిమృగములకును ఆకాశపక్షులకును ఆహారముగా నిచ్చెదను.

5. I'll throw you and the fish into the desert, and your body will fall on the hard ground. You will be left unburied, and wild animals and birds will eat your flesh.

6. అప్పుడు నేను యెహోవానై యున్నానని ఐగుప్తీయులందరు తెలిసికొందరు. ఐగుప్తు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు రెల్లుపుల్లవంటి చేతికఱ్ఱ ఆయెను;

6. Then everyone in Egypt will know that I am the LORD. You and your nation refused to help the people of Israel and were nothing more than a broken stick.

7. వారు నిన్ను చేత పట్టుకొనినప్పుడు నీవు విరిగిపోయి వారి ప్రక్కలలో గుచ్చుకొంటివి, వారు నీమీద ఆనుకొనగా నీవు విరిగిపోయి వారి నడుములు విరిగిపోవుటకు కారణమైతివి.

7. When they reached out to you for support, you broke in half, cutting their arms and making them fall.

8. కాబట్టి ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నేను నీమీదికి ఖడ్గము రప్పించి, మనుష్యులను పశువులను నీలోనుండి నిర్మూలము చేసెదను,

8. So I, the LORD God, will send troops to attack you, king of Egypt. They will kill your people and livestock,

9. ఐగుప్తుదేశము నిర్మానుష్యమై పాడుగా ఉండును, అప్పుడు నేను యెహోవానై యున్నానని వారు తెలిసికొందురు. నైలునది నాది, నేనే దాని కలుగజేసితినని అతడనుకొను చున్నాడు గనుక

9. until your land is a barren desert. Then you will know that I have done these things. You claimed that you made the Nile River and control it.

10. నేను నీకును నీ నదికిని విరోధినైతిని, ఐగుప్తు దేశమును మిగ్దోలు మొదలుకొని సెవేనేవరకు కూషు సరిహద్దు వరకు బొత్తిగా పాడుచేసి యెడారిగా ఉంచెదను.

10. Now I am turning against you and your river. Your nation will be nothing but an empty wasteland all the way from the town of Migdol in the north to Aswan in the south, and as far as the border of Ethiopia.

11. దానిలో మనుష్యులు సంచరించరు, పశువులు తిరుగవు; నలువది సంవత్సరములు అది నిర్నివాసముగా ఉండును.

11. No human or animal will even dare travel through Egypt, because no sign of life will be found there for forty years.

12. నిర్మానుష్యముగానున్న దేశముల మధ్యను ఐగుప్తుదేశమును పాడగునట్టుగా చేసెదను, పాడై పోయిన పట్టణములమధ్యను దాని పట్టణములు నలువది సంవత్సరములు పాడైయుండును, ఐగుప్తీయులను జనముల లోనికి చెదరగొట్టుదును, ఆ యా దేశములకు వారిని వెళ్ల గొట్టుదును.

12. It will be the most barren place on earth. Every city in Egypt will lie in ruins during those forty years, and I will scatter your people throughout the nations of the world.

13. ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెల విచ్చుచున్నాడు నలువది సంవత్సరములు జరిగిన తరువాత ఐగుప్తీయులు చెదరిపోయిన జనులలోనుండి నేను వారిని సమకూర్చెదను.

13. Then after those forty years have passed, I will bring your people back from the places where I scattered them.

14. చెరలోనుండి వారిని తోడుకొని పత్రోసు అను వారి స్వదేశములోనికి వారిని మరల రప్పించెదను, అక్కడ వారు హీనమైన యొక రాజ్యముగా ఉందురు,

14. They will once again live in their homeland in southern Egypt. But they will be a weak kingdom

15. వారికను జనములమీద అతిశయపడకుండు నట్లు రాజ్యము లన్నిటిలో వారు హీనమైన రాజ్యముగా ఉందురు; వారు ఇక రాష్ట్రములమీద ప్రభుత్వము చేయ కుండునట్లు నేను వారిని తగ్గించెదను.

15. and won't ever be strong enough to rule nations, as they did in the past.

16. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తాము చేసిన దోషము మనస్సునకు తెచ్చుకొని వారి తట్టు తిరిగినయెడల ఐగుప్తీయులు ఇక వారికి ఆధారముగా ఉండరు, అప్పుడు నేను ప్రభువైన యెహోవానై యున్నానని వారు తెలిసికొందురు.

16. My own people Israel will never again depend on your nation. In fact, when the Israelites remember what happened to you Egyptians, they will realize how wrong they were to turn to you for help. Then the Israelites will know that I, the LORD God, did these things.

17. ఇరువదియేడవ సంవత్సరము మొదటినెల మొదటి దినమున యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

17. Twenty-seven years after King Jehoiachin and the rest of us had been led away as prisoners to Babylonia, the LORD spoke to me on the first day of the first month. He said:

18. నరపుత్రుడా, తూరు పట్టణముమీద బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు తన సైన్యముచేత బహు ఆయాసకరమైన పని చేయించెను, వారందరి తలలు బోడి వాయెను, అందరి భుజములు కొట్టుకొని పోయెను; అయినను తూరుపట్టణముమీద అతడు చేసిన కష్టమునుబట్టి అతనికైనను, అతని సైన్యమునకైనను కూలి యెంత మాత్రమును దొరకకపోయెను.

18. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia has attacked the city of Tyre. He forced his soldiers to carry so many heavy loads that their heads were rubbed bald, and their shoulders were red and sore. Nebuchadnezzar and his army still could not capture the city.

19. కాబట్టి ప్రభువైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా ఐగుప్తుదేశమును బబులోను రాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరునకు నేను అప్పగించు చున్నాను, అతడు దాని ఆస్తిని పట్టుకొని దాని సొమ్మును దోచుకొని కొల్లపెట్టును, అది అతని సైన్యమునకు జీతమగును.

19. So now I will hand over the nation of Egypt to him. He will take Egypt's valuable treasures and give them to his own troops.

20. తూరుపట్టణముమీద అతడు చేసినది నా నిమిత్తమే చేసెను గనుక అందుకు బహుమానముగా దానిని అప్పగించుచున్నాను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

20. Egypt will be his reward, because he and his army have been following my orders. I, the LORD God, have spoken.

21. ఆ దినమందు నేను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కొమ్ము చిగిరింప జేసి వారిలో మాటలాడుటకు నీకు ధైర్యము కలుగజేసెదను, అప్పుడు నేను యెహోవానైయున్నానని వారు తెలిసికొందురు.

21. Ezekiel, when Egypt is defeated, I will make the people of Israel strong, and I will give you the power to speak to them. Then they will know that I, the LORD, have done these things.
