1. ఏడవ సంవత్సరము అయిదవ నెల పదియవ దినమున ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలలో కొందరు యెహోవా యొద్ద విచారణచేయుటకై నా యొద్దకు వచ్చి నా యెదుట కూర్చుండియుండగా

1. On the tenth day of the fifth month of the seventh year, some of Isra'el's leaders came to consult ADONAI and sat with me;

2. యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

2. and the word of ADONAI came to me:

3. నరపుత్రుడా, నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలతో ఇట్లనుము ప్రభువగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా నా యొద్ద విచారణ చేయుటకు మీరు వచ్చుచున్నారే. నా జీవముతోడు నావలన ఏ ఆలోచనయైనను మీకు దొరకదు; ఇదే ప్రభువగు యెహోవా వాక్కు.

3. 'Human being, speak to Isra'el's leaders; tell them that [Adonai ELOHIM] asks, 'Have you come to consult me? As I live,' says [Adonai ELOHIM], 'I swear that I will not let you consult me.'

4. వారికి న్యాయము తీర్చుదువా? నరపుత్రుడా, వారికి న్యాయము తీర్చుదువా? వారి పితరులు చేసిన హేయకృత్యములను వారికి తెలియ జేయుము.

4. 'Are you going to judge them? Human being, are you going to judge them? Then have them realize how disgusting their ancestors' practices were.

5. ఎట్లనగా ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నేను ఇశ్రాయేలును ఏర్పరచుకొనిన నాడును, యాకోబు సంతతికి ప్రమాణముచేసిన నాడును, ఐగుప్తుదేశమందు నన్ను వారికి ప్రత్యక్ష పరచుకొని ప్రమాణముచేసి నేను మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవానని నేను ప్రకటించిన కాలమున

5. Tell them that [Adonai ELOHIM] says this: 'Back on the day when I chose Isra'el, I raised my hand to the descendants of the house of Ya'akov. I revealed myself to them in the land of Egypt when I raised my hand to them and said, 'I am ADONAI your God.'

6. వారిని ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి రప్పించి వారికొరకు నేను విచారించినదియు, పాలు తేనెలు ప్రవహించునదియు, సకల దేశములకు ఆభరణమైనదియునైన దేశములోనికి తోడుకొని పోయెదనని చెప్పిన కాలముననే నేను ప్రమాణము చేసితిని.

6. On the day I raised my hand to them, pledging to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land I had reconnoitered for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful of all lands,

7. అప్పుడు నేను మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను, మీలో ప్రతివాడు తన కిష్టమైన హేయకృత్యములను విడిచిపెట్టవలెను, ఐగుప్తీయుల విగ్రహములను పూజించుటచేత మిమ్మును మీరు అపవిత్రపరచు కొనకుండవలెను అని నేను ఆజ్ఞాపించితిని.

7. I told them, 'Each of you is to throw away the detestable things that draw your eyes. Do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am ADONAI your God.'

8. అయితే వారు నా మాట విననొల్లక నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసి, తమకిష్టమైన హేయకృత్యములు చేయుట మాన లేదు, ఐగుప్తీయుల విగ్రహములను పూజించుట మానలేదు గనుక వారు ఐగుప్తీయుల దేశములో ఉండగానే నేను నా రౌద్రము వారిమీద కుమ్మరించి నా కోపము వారి మీద తీర్చుకొందునని యనుకొంటిని.

8. ''But they rebelled against me and wouldn't listen to me; they did not, each of them, throw away the detestable things that drew their eyes; and they did not abandon the idols of Egypt. Then I said I would pour out my fury on them and spend my anger on them there in the land of Egypt.

9. అయితే ఏ అన్య జనులయెదుట నన్ను నేను బయలు పరచుకొంటినో, యే అన్యజనులమధ్య వారుండిరో ఆ అన్యజనులలో వారున్న అన్యజనుల యెదుట వారికి నన్ను బయలుపరచుకొంటిని, నా నామమునకు దూషణ కలుగకుండుటకై ఆలాగు చేయుటమాని, ఆ జనులు చూచుచుండగా నా నామ ఘనతకొరకు నేను వారిని ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి రప్పించి తిని.

9. But concern for my own reputation kept me from letting it be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they were living, in the sight of whom I had made myself known to them, in order to bring them out of the land of Egypt.

10. వారిని ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి రప్పించి అరణ్యము లోనికి తోడుకొని వచ్చి

10. So I had them leave the land of Egypt and brought them into the desert.

11. వారికి నా కట్టడలను నియమించి నా విధులను వారికి తెలియజేసితిని. ఎవడైన వాటి ననుసరించినయెడల వాటినిబట్టి బ్రదుకును.

11. I gave them my laws and showed them my rulings; if a person obeys them, he will have life through them.

12. మరియు యెహోవానగు నేనే వారిని పవిత్రపరచువాడనని వారు తెలిసికొనునట్లు నాకును వారికిని మధ్య విశ్రాంతి దినము లను వారికి సూచనగా నేను నియమించితిని.

12. I gave them my [shabbat]s as a sign between me and them, so that they would know that I, ADONAI, am the one who makes them holy.

13. అయితే అరణ్యమందు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసి నా కట్టడల ననుసరింపక, తాము అనుసరించి బ్రదుకవలెనని నేనిచ్చిన విధులను తృణీకరించి, నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతిదినములను అపవిత్రపరచగా, అరణ్య మందు నా రౌద్రాగ్ని వారిమీద కుమ్మరించి వారిని నిర్మూ లము చేయుదునను కొంటిని.

13. ''But the house of Isra'el rebelled against me in the desert. They did not live by my laws; and they rejected my rulings, which, if a person does, he will have life through them; moreover, they greatly profaned my [shabbat]s. Then I said I would pour out my fury on them in the desert, in order to destroy them.

14. అయితే నేను వారిని రప్పింపగా ఏ అన్య జనులు చూచిరో యే అన్యజనులలో నుండి నేను వారిని రప్పించితినో వారి యెదుట నా నామ మునకు దూషణ కలుగకుండునట్లు నేననుకొనిన ప్రకారము చేయక మానితిని.

14. But concern for my own reputation kept me from letting it be profaned in the sight of the nations who had seen when I brought them out.

15. మరియు తమకిష్టమైన విగ్రహముల ననుసరింపవలెనని కోరి, వారు నా విధులను తృణీకరించి నా కట్టడల ననుసరింపక నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతి దినములను అపవిత్రపరచగా

15. Yet I also raised my hand and swore to them in the desert that I would not bring them into the land I was giving them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful of all lands;

16. ఇచ్చెదనని నేను సెలవిచ్చి నట్టియు, పాలు తేనెలు ప్రవహించునట్టియునైన సకల దేశములకు ఆభరణమగు దేశములోనికి వారిని రప్పింపనని వారు అరణ్యములో ఉండగానే నేను ప్రమాణము చేసితిని.

16. because they had rejected my rulings, did not live by my laws and profaned my [shabbat]s; since their hearts went after their idols.

17. అయినను వారు నశించి పోకుండునట్లు వారియందు కనికరించి, అరణ్యములో నేను వారిని నిర్మూలము చేయక పోతిని.

17. However, I spared them from complete destruction; I did not completely finish them off in the desert.

18. వారు అరణ్యములో ఉండగానే వారి పిల్లలతో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చితినిమీరు మీ తండ్రుల ఆచారము లను అనుసరింపకయు, వారి పద్ధతులనుబట్టి ప్రవర్తింప కయు, వారు పెట్టుకొనిన దేవతలను పూజించి మిమ్మును మీరు అపవిత్రపరచుకొనకయు నుండుడి.

18. ''I said to their children in the desert, 'Don't live by the laws of your fathers, observe their rulings or defile yourselves with their idols.

19. మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను నేనే గనుక నా కట్టడల ననుసరించి నా విధులను గైకొని నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతిదినములను ఆచరించుడి.

19. I am ADONAI your God; live by my laws, observe my rulings, and obey them,

20. నేను మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవా నని మీరు తెలిసికొనునట్లు ఆ విశ్రాంతిదినములు నాకును మీకును మధ్యను సూచనగా ఉండును.

20. and keep my [shabbat]s holy; and they will be a sign between me and you, so that you will know that I am ADONAI your God.'

21. అయినను ఆ జనులు సహా నా మీద తిరుగబడి, తామనుసరించి బ్రదుకవలెనని నేనిచ్చిన నా కట్టడలను అనుసరింపకయు, నా విధులను గైకొనకయు, నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతి దినములను అపవిత్రపరచిరి గనుక, వారు అరణ్యములో ఉండగానే నేను నా రౌద్రాగ్ని వారిమీద కుమ్మరించి నా కోపము వారిమీద తీర్చుకొందునని యనుకొంటిని.

21. ''But the children too rebelled against me. They did not live by my laws or observe my rulings, to obey them, which, if a person does, he will have life by them; and they profaned my [shabbat]s. Then I said I would pour out my fury on them and spend my anger on them in the desert.

22. అయితే నేను ప్రత్యక్షమైన అన్యజనుల మధ్య నా నామమునకు దూషణ కలుగకుండునట్లు ఏ జనులలోనుండి వారిని రప్పించితినో ఆ జనులు చూచుచుండగా నా హస్తము వెనుకకు తీసి నా వాగ్దానము నెరవేర్చితిని.

22. Nevertheless, I withdrew my hand and allowed concern for my own reputation to keep me from letting it be profaned in the sight of the nations who had seen when I brought them out.

23. మరియు వారు నా విధుల ననుసరింపక నా కట్టడలను తృణీకరించి, నేను విధించిన విశ్రాంతిదినములను అపవిత్ర పరచి,

23. ''I also raised my hand and swore to them in the desert that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries;

24. తమ పితరులు పెట్టుకొనిన విగ్రహములను పూజింప గోరగా, అన్యజనులలో వారిని చెదరగొట్టి సకలదేశముల లోనికి వారిని వెళ్లగొట్టుదునని ప్రమాణము చేసితిని.

24. because they hadn't obeyed my rulings but had rejected my laws and profaned my [shabbat]s, and their eyes had turned toward their fathers' idols.

25. నేను యెహోవానని వారు తెలిసికొనునట్లు వారిని విస్మ యము నొందింపవలెనని అనుకూలము కాని కట్టడలను తాము బ్రదుకుటకు ప్రయోజనకరములు కాని విధులను వారికిచ్చితిని.

25. I also gave them laws which did them no good and rulings by which they did not live;

26. తొలిచూలిని అగ్నిగుండము దాటించి బలి దానముల నిచ్చుటచేత తమ్మును తాము అపవిత్రపరచు కొననిచ్చితిని.

26. and I let them become defiled by their own gifts, in that they offered up their firstborn sons, so that I could fill them with revulsion, so that they would [[finally]] realize that I am ADONAI.'

27. కాబట్టి నరపుత్రుడా, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో మాటలాడి ఇట్లు ప్రకటింపుము ప్రభువగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా మీ పితరులు నాయెడల అతిక్రమముచేసి నన్ను దూషించి

27. 'Therefore, human being, speak to the house of Isra'el; tell them that [Adonai ELOHIM] says, 'Moreover, your ancestors blasphemed me by breaking faith with me in still another way:

28. వారికిచ్చెదనని నేను ప్రమాణ పూర్వక ముగా చెప్పిన దేశములోనికి నేను వారిని రప్పించిన తరు వాత, ఎత్తయిన యొక కొండనేగాని, దట్టమైన యొక వృక్షమునేగాని తాము చూచినప్పుడెల్లను బలులు అర్పిం చుచు, అర్పణలను అర్పించుచు, అక్కడ పరిమళ ధూపము ప్రతిష్ఠించుచు, పానార్పణములు చేయుచు నాకు కోపము పుట్టించిరి.

28. for after I had brought them into the land, which I had raised my hand in pledge to give them, they noted all its high hills and leafy trees and offered there their sacrifices; there they made offerings that provoked my anger, there they set out their sweet aromas, and there they poured out their drink offerings.

29. మీరు పోవుచున్న ఉన్నత స్థలములేమిటని నేనడిగితిని; కాబట్టి ఉన్నతస్థలమను పేరు నేటివరకు వాడుకలో నున్నది.

29. When I asked them, 'This high place where you go, what is the meaning of it?' they gave it the name Bamah* which it retains to this day.'

30. కావున ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు ఈ మాట ప్రకటింపుముప్రభువైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చున దేమనగామీ పితరుల రీతిని మీరును అపవిత్రులైతిరే వారు పెట్టుకొనిన విగ్రహములను అనుసరించుచు మీరును వ్యభిచారులైతిరే;

30. 'So tell the house of Isra'el that [Adonai ELOHIM] says, 'You are defiling yourselves in the same way as your ancestors, following their abominations and fornicating with them;

31. నేటివరకును మీరు అర్పణలను అర్పించి మీ కుమారులను అగ్నిగుండ దాటించునప్పుడు, మీరు పెట్టుకొనిన విగ్రహములన్నిటికి పూజజేసి అపవిత్రులగు చున్నారే; ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, నాయొద్ద మీరు విచారణ చేయుదురా? నా జీవముతోడు నావలన ఆలోచన మీకు దొరుకదు; ఇదే ప్రభువైన యెహోవా వాక్కు

31. and when offering your gifts, you make your children pass through the fire and defile yourselves with all your idols- to this day. So, am I supposed to allow you to consult me, house of Isra'el? As I live,' says [Adonai ELOHIM], 'I swear that I won't have you consult me,

32. అన్యజనులేమి భూమిమీది యే జనులేమి చేయునట్లు మేమును కొయ్యలకును రాళ్లకును పూజచేతుమని మీరనుకొనుచున్నారే. మీరు ఇచ్ఛయించినదాని ప్రకారమెన్నటికిని జరుగదు.

32. and that what you have in mind when you say, 'We will be like the [Goyim], like the families of the other countries, serving wood and stone,' will certainly not happen.

33. నా జీవముతోడు నా రౌద్రము కుమ్మరించుచు, బాహుబలముతోను చాచిన చేతితోను నేను మీపైన అధికారము చేసెదను.

33. As I live,' says [Adonai ELOHIM], 'I swear that surely with a mighty hand, with a stretched-out arm and with poured-out fury I myself will be king over you.

34. మరియు నేను రౌద్రము కుమ్మరించుచు, బాహుబలముతోను చాచిన చేతితోను మిమ్మును చెదరగొట్టిన ఆయా దేశములలోనుండియు జనులలోనుండియు నేను మిమ్మును సమ కూర్చి

34. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you were scattered, with a mighty hand, with a stretched-out arm and with poured-out fury;

35. జనములున్న అరణ్యములోనికి మిమ్మును రప్పించి, అక్కడ ముఖాముఖిగా మీతో వ్యాజ్యెమాడెదను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

35. then I will bring you into the desert of the peoples and judge you face to face.

36. ఐగుప్తీయులదేశపు అరణ్యములో నేను మీ పితరులతో వ్యాజ్యెమాడినట్టు మీతోను వ్యాజ్యె మాడెదను; ఇదే ప్రభువైన యెహోవా వాక్కు.

36. Just as I judged your ancestors in the desert of the land of Egypt, so will I judge you,' says [Adonai ELOHIM].

37. చేతి కఱ్ఱక్రింద మిమ్మును దాటించి నిబంధనకు లోపరచెదను.

37. 'I will make you pass under the crook and bring you into the obligations of the covenant.

38. మరియు నామీద తిరుగబడువారిని దోషము చేయువారిని మీలో ఉండకుండ ప్రత్యేకించెదను, తాము కాపురమున్న దేశములోనుండి వారిని రప్పించెదను గాని నేను యెహోవానని మీరు తెలిసికొనునట్లు వారు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేశములో ప్రవేశించరు.

38. I will rid you of the rebels who are in revolt against me- I will bring them out from the land where they are living, but they will not enter the land of Isra'el; then you will know that I am ADONAI.'

39. ఇశ్రాయేలు యింటివార లారా, మీరు నామాట వినని యెడల మీరు పెట్టుకొనిన విగ్రహములను, మీ కిష్టమైనట్టుగా పూజించుకొనుడి, గాని మీ అర్పణలచేతను మీ విగ్రహములచేతను నా పరిశుద్ధనామమును అపవిత్రపరచకుడి అని ప్రభువైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

39. 'As for you, house of Isra'el, here is what [Adonai ELOHIM] says: 'Go on serving your idols, every one of you! But afterwards, [[I swear that]] you will listen to me, and you will no longer profane my holy name with your gifts and with your idols.

40. నిజముగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ఉన్నతమైన కొండయగు నా పరిశుద్ధ పర్వతమందు దేశములోనున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరును నాకు సేవచేయుదురు; ఇదే ప్రభువైన యెహోవా వాక్కు. అచ్చటనే నేను వారిని అంగీకరించెదను. అచ్చటనే మీ ప్రతిష్ఠితమైన యర్పణలను, మీ ప్రథమ ఫలదానములను, ప్రతిష్ఠితములగు మీ కానుకలనన్నిటిని నేనంగీకరించెదను.

40. For on my holy mountain, the high mountain of Isra'el,' says [Adonai ELOHIM], 'the whole house of Isra'el, all of them, will serve me in the land. I will accept them there, and there I will require your contributions, your best gifts and all your consecrated things.

41. జనములలోనుండి నేను మిమ్మును రప్పించునప్పుడును, మిమ్మును చెదరగొట్టిన ఆ యా దేశము లలోనుండి మిమ్మును సమకూర్చునప్పుడును, పరిమళధూపముగా మిమ్మును అంగీకరించెదను, అన్యజనులయెదుటను మీ మధ్యను నన్ను నేను పరిశుద్ధపరచుకొందును.

41. I will accept you with your sweet aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you were scattered; and through you I will manifest my holiness in the sight of the nations.

42. మీ పితరులకిచ్చెదనని నేను ప్రమాణ పూర్వకముగా చెప్పిన దేశమునకు, అనగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేశమునకు నేను మిమ్మును రప్పించునప్పుడు నేనే యెహోవానని మీరు తెలిసికొందురు.

42. ''You will know that I am ADONAI when I bring you into the land of Isra'el, into the country which I pledged, by raising my hand, to give to your ancestors.

43. అచ్చట చేరి మీ ప్రవర్తనను, మిమ్మును మీరు అపవిత్ర పరచుకొనిన మీ క్రియలన్నిటిని మనస్సు నకు తెచ్చుకొని, మీరు చేసిన దుష్‌క్రియలనుబట్టి మిమ్మును మీరే అసహ్యించుకొందురు.

43. There you will remember your behavior and all the things you did by which you defiled yourselves, and you will loathe yourselves for all the evils you committed.

44. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, మీ దుర్మార్గతనుబట్టియు మీ కాని చేష్టలనుబట్టియు కాక నా నామమునుబట్టియే నేను మీ కీలాగున చేయగా నేనే యెహోవానని మీరు తెలిసికొందురు.

44. You will know that I am ADONAI when I have dealt with you in a manner that preserves my reputation, and not according to your evil ways and corrupt actions, house of Isra'el' says [Adonai ELOHIM].'
