1. ఏడవ సంవత్సరము అయిదవ నెల పదియవ దినమున ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలలో కొందరు యెహోవా యొద్ద విచారణచేయుటకై నా యొద్దకు వచ్చి నా యెదుట కూర్చుండియుండగా

1. Seven years after King Jehoiachin and the rest of us had been led away as prisoners to Babylonia, some of Israel's leaders came to me on the tenth day of the fifth month. They sat down and asked for a message from the LORD.

2. యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

2. Just then, the LORD God said:

3. నరపుత్రుడా, నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలతో ఇట్లనుము ప్రభువగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా నా యొద్ద విచారణ చేయుటకు మీరు వచ్చుచున్నారే. నా జీవముతోడు నావలన ఏ ఆలోచనయైనను మీకు దొరకదు; ఇదే ప్రభువగు యెహోవా వాక్కు.

3. Ezekiel, son of man, these leaders have come to find out what I want them to do. As surely as I live, I will not give them an answer of any kind.

4. వారికి న్యాయము తీర్చుదువా? నరపుత్రుడా, వారికి న్యాయము తీర్చుదువా? వారి పితరులు చేసిన హేయకృత్యములను వారికి తెలియ జేయుము.

4. Are you willing to warn them, Ezekiel? Then remind them of the disgusting sins of their ancestors.

5. ఎట్లనగా ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నేను ఇశ్రాయేలును ఏర్పరచుకొనిన నాడును, యాకోబు సంతతికి ప్రమాణముచేసిన నాడును, ఐగుప్తుదేశమందు నన్ను వారికి ప్రత్యక్ష పరచుకొని ప్రమాణముచేసి నేను మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవానని నేను ప్రకటించిన కాలమున

5. Tell them that long ago I, the LORD God, chose Israel to be my own. I appeared to their ancestors in Egypt and made a solemn promise that I would be their God and the God of their descendants.

6. వారిని ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి రప్పించి వారికొరకు నేను విచారించినదియు, పాలు తేనెలు ప్రవహించునదియు, సకల దేశములకు ఆభరణమైనదియునైన దేశములోనికి తోడుకొని పోయెదనని చెప్పిన కాలముననే నేను ప్రమాణము చేసితిని.

6. I swore that I would rescue them from Egypt and lead them to a land I had already chosen. This land was rich with milk and honey and was the most splendid land of all.

7. అప్పుడు నేను మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను, మీలో ప్రతివాడు తన కిష్టమైన హేయకృత్యములను విడిచిపెట్టవలెను, ఐగుప్తీయుల విగ్రహములను పూజించుటచేత మిమ్మును మీరు అపవిత్రపరచు కొనకుండవలెను అని నేను ఆజ్ఞాపించితిని.

7. I told them to get rid of their disgusting idols and not to sin by worshiping the gods of Egypt. I reminded them that I was the LORD their God,

8. అయితే వారు నా మాట విననొల్లక నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసి, తమకిష్టమైన హేయకృత్యములు చేయుట మాన లేదు, ఐగుప్తీయుల విగ్రహములను పూజించుట మానలేదు గనుక వారు ఐగుప్తీయుల దేశములో ఉండగానే నేను నా రౌద్రము వారిమీద కుమ్మరించి నా కోపము వారి మీద తీర్చుకొందునని యనుకొంటిని.

8. but they still rebelled against me. They refused to listen and kept on worshiping their idols and foreign gods. In my anger, I decided to punish the Israelites in Egypt.

9. అయితే ఏ అన్య జనులయెదుట నన్ను నేను బయలు పరచుకొంటినో, యే అన్యజనులమధ్య వారుండిరో ఆ అన్యజనులలో వారున్న అన్యజనుల యెదుట వారికి నన్ను బయలుపరచుకొంటిని, నా నామమునకు దూషణ కలుగకుండుటకై ఆలాగు చేయుటమాని, ఆ జనులు చూచుచుండగా నా నామ ఘనతకొరకు నేను వారిని ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి రప్పించి తిని.

9. But that would have made me look like a liar, because I had already promised in front of everyone that I would lead them out of Egypt.

10. వారిని ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి రప్పించి అరణ్యము లోనికి తోడుకొని వచ్చి

10. So I brought them out and led them into the desert.

11. వారికి నా కట్టడలను నియమించి నా విధులను వారికి తెలియజేసితిని. ఎవడైన వాటి ననుసరించినయెడల వాటినిబట్టి బ్రదుకును.

11. I gave them my laws and teachings, so they would know how to live right.

12. మరియు యెహోవానగు నేనే వారిని పవిత్రపరచువాడనని వారు తెలిసికొనునట్లు నాకును వారికిని మధ్య విశ్రాంతి దినము లను వారికి సూచనగా నేను నియమించితిని.

12. And I commanded them to respect the Sabbath as a way of showing that they were holy and belonged to me.

13. అయితే అరణ్యమందు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసి నా కట్టడల ననుసరింపక, తాము అనుసరించి బ్రదుకవలెనని నేనిచ్చిన విధులను తృణీకరించి, నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతిదినములను అపవిత్రపరచగా, అరణ్య మందు నా రౌద్రాగ్ని వారిమీద కుమ్మరించి వారిని నిర్మూ లము చేయుదునను కొంటిని.

13. But the Israelites rebelled against me in the desert. They refused to obey my laws and teachings, and they treated the Sabbath like any other day. Then in my anger, I decided to destroy the Israelites in the desert once and for all.

14. అయితే నేను వారిని రప్పింపగా ఏ అన్య జనులు చూచిరో యే అన్యజనులలో నుండి నేను వారిని రప్పించితినో వారి యెదుట నా నామ మునకు దూషణ కలుగకుండునట్లు నేననుకొనిన ప్రకారము చేయక మానితిని.

14. But that would have disgraced me, because many other nations had seen me bring the Israelites out of Egypt.

15. మరియు తమకిష్టమైన విగ్రహముల ననుసరింపవలెనని కోరి, వారు నా విధులను తృణీకరించి నా కట్టడల ననుసరింపక నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతి దినములను అపవిత్రపరచగా

15. Instead, I told them in the desert that I would not lead them into the beautiful, fertile land I had promised.

16. ఇచ్చెదనని నేను సెలవిచ్చి నట్టియు, పాలు తేనెలు ప్రవహించునట్టియునైన సకల దేశములకు ఆభరణమగు దేశములోనికి వారిని రప్పింపనని వారు అరణ్యములో ఉండగానే నేను ప్రమాణము చేసితిని.

16. I said this because they had not only ignored my laws and teachings, but had disgraced my Sabbath and worshiped idols.

17. అయినను వారు నశించి పోకుండునట్లు వారియందు కనికరించి, అరణ్యములో నేను వారిని నిర్మూలము చేయక పోతిని.

17. Yet, I felt sorry for them and could not let them die in the desert.

18. వారు అరణ్యములో ఉండగానే వారి పిల్లలతో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చితినిమీరు మీ తండ్రుల ఆచారము లను అనుసరింపకయు, వారి పద్ధతులనుబట్టి ప్రవర్తింప కయు, వారు పెట్టుకొనిన దేవతలను పూజించి మిమ్మును మీరు అపవిత్రపరచుకొనకయు నుండుడి.

18. So I warned the children not to act like their parents or follow their evil ways or worship their idols.

19. మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను నేనే గనుక నా కట్టడల ననుసరించి నా విధులను గైకొని నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతిదినములను ఆచరించుడి.

19. I reminded them that I was the LORD their God and that they should obey my laws and teachings.

20. నేను మీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవా నని మీరు తెలిసికొనునట్లు ఆ విశ్రాంతిదినములు నాకును మీకును మధ్యను సూచనగా ఉండును.

20. I told them to respect my Sabbath to show that they were my people and that I was the LORD their God.

21. అయినను ఆ జనులు సహా నా మీద తిరుగబడి, తామనుసరించి బ్రదుకవలెనని నేనిచ్చిన నా కట్టడలను అనుసరింపకయు, నా విధులను గైకొనకయు, నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతి దినములను అపవిత్రపరచిరి గనుక, వారు అరణ్యములో ఉండగానే నేను నా రౌద్రాగ్ని వారిమీద కుమ్మరించి నా కోపము వారిమీద తీర్చుకొందునని యనుకొంటిని.

21. But the children also rebelled against me. They refused to obey my laws and teachings, and they treated the Sabbath as any other day. I became angry and decided to punish them in the desert.

22. అయితే నేను ప్రత్యక్షమైన అన్యజనుల మధ్య నా నామమునకు దూషణ కలుగకుండునట్లు ఏ జనులలోనుండి వారిని రప్పించితినో ఆ జనులు చూచుచుండగా నా హస్తము వెనుకకు తీసి నా వాగ్దానము నెరవేర్చితిని.

22. But I did not. That would have disgraced me in front of the nations that had seen me bring the Israelites out of Egypt.

23. మరియు వారు నా విధుల ననుసరింపక నా కట్టడలను తృణీకరించి, నేను విధించిన విశ్రాంతిదినములను అపవిత్ర పరచి,

23. So I solemnly swore that I would scatter the people of Israel across the nations,

24. తమ పితరులు పెట్టుకొనిన విగ్రహములను పూజింప గోరగా, అన్యజనులలో వారిని చెదరగొట్టి సకలదేశముల లోనికి వారిని వెళ్లగొట్టుదునని ప్రమాణము చేసితిని.

24. because they had disobeyed my laws and ignored my teachings; they had disgraced my Sabbath and worshiped the idols their ancestors had made.

25. నేను యెహోవానని వారు తెలిసికొనునట్లు వారిని విస్మ యము నొందింపవలెనని అనుకూలము కాని కట్టడలను తాము బ్రదుకుటకు ప్రయోజనకరములు కాని విధులను వారికిచ్చితిని.

25. I gave them laws that bring punishment instead of life,

26. తొలిచూలిని అగ్నిగుండము దాటించి బలి దానముల నిచ్చుటచేత తమ్మును తాము అపవిత్రపరచు కొననిచ్చితిని.

26. and I let them offer me unacceptable sacrifices, including their first-born sons. I did this to horrify them and to let them know that I, the LORD, was punishing them.

27. కాబట్టి నరపుత్రుడా, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో మాటలాడి ఇట్లు ప్రకటింపుము ప్రభువగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా మీ పితరులు నాయెడల అతిక్రమముచేసి నన్ను దూషించి

27. Ezekiel, tell the people of Israel that their ancestors also rejected and insulted me

28. వారికిచ్చెదనని నేను ప్రమాణ పూర్వక ముగా చెప్పిన దేశములోనికి నేను వారిని రప్పించిన తరు వాత, ఎత్తయిన యొక కొండనేగాని, దట్టమైన యొక వృక్షమునేగాని తాము చూచినప్పుడెల్లను బలులు అర్పిం చుచు, అర్పణలను అర్పించుచు, అక్కడ పరిమళ ధూపము ప్రతిష్ఠించుచు, పానార్పణములు చేయుచు నాకు కోపము పుట్టించిరి.

28. by offering sacrifices, incense, and wine to gods on every hill and under every large tree. I was very angry, because they did these things in the land I had given them!

29. మీరు పోవుచున్న ఉన్నత స్థలములేమిటని నేనడిగితిని; కాబట్టి ఉన్నతస్థలమను పేరు నేటివరకు వాడుకలో నున్నది.

29. I asked them where they went to worship those gods, and they answered, 'At the local shrines.' And those places of worship are still called shrines.

30. కావున ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు ఈ మాట ప్రకటింపుముప్రభువైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చున దేమనగామీ పితరుల రీతిని మీరును అపవిత్రులైతిరే వారు పెట్టుకొనిన విగ్రహములను అనుసరించుచు మీరును వ్యభిచారులైతిరే;

30. Then ask the Israelites why they are following the example of their wicked ancestors

31. నేటివరకును మీరు అర్పణలను అర్పించి మీ కుమారులను అగ్నిగుండ దాటించునప్పుడు, మీరు పెట్టుకొనిన విగ్రహములన్నిటికి పూజజేసి అపవిత్రులగు చున్నారే; ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, నాయొద్ద మీరు విచారణ చేయుదురా? నా జీవముతోడు నావలన ఆలోచన మీకు దొరుకదు; ఇదే ప్రభువైన యెహోవా వాక్కు

31. by worshiping idols and by sacrificing their own children as offerings. They commit these sins and still think they can ask me for a message. As surely as I am the living LORD God, I will give them no answer.

32. అన్యజనులేమి భూమిమీది యే జనులేమి చేయునట్లు మేమును కొయ్యలకును రాళ్లకును పూజచేతుమని మీరనుకొనుచున్నారే. మీరు ఇచ్ఛయించినదాని ప్రకారమెన్నటికిని జరుగదు.

32. They may think they can be like other nations and get away with worshiping idols made of wood and stone. But that will never happen!

33. నా జీవముతోడు నా రౌద్రము కుమ్మరించుచు, బాహుబలముతోను చాచిన చేతితోను నేను మీపైన అధికారము చేసెదను.

33. As surely as I am the living LORD God, I will rule over you with my powerful arm. You will feel my fierce anger

34. మరియు నేను రౌద్రము కుమ్మరించుచు, బాహుబలముతోను చాచిన చేతితోను మిమ్మును చెదరగొట్టిన ఆయా దేశములలోనుండియు జనులలోనుండియు నేను మిమ్మును సమ కూర్చి

34. and my power, when I gather you from the places where you are scattered

35. జనములున్న అరణ్యములోనికి మిమ్మును రప్పించి, అక్కడ ముఖాముఖిగా మీతో వ్యాజ్యెమాడెదను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

35. and lead you into a desert surrounded by nations. I will meet you there face to face. Then I will pass judgment on you

36. ఐగుప్తీయులదేశపు అరణ్యములో నేను మీ పితరులతో వ్యాజ్యెమాడినట్టు మీతోను వ్యాజ్యె మాడెదను; ఇదే ప్రభువైన యెహోవా వాక్కు.

36. and punish you, just as I punished your ancestors in the desert near Egypt.

37. చేతి కఱ్ఱక్రింద మిమ్మును దాటించి నిబంధనకు లోపరచెదను.

37. I will force each of you to obey the regulations of our solemn agreement.

38. మరియు నామీద తిరుగబడువారిని దోషము చేయువారిని మీలో ఉండకుండ ప్రత్యేకించెదను, తాము కాపురమున్న దేశములోనుండి వారిని రప్పించెదను గాని నేను యెహోవానని మీరు తెలిసికొనునట్లు వారు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేశములో ప్రవేశించరు.

38. I will separate the sinful rebels from the rest of you, and even though I will bring them from the nations where they live in exile, they won't be allowed to return to Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

39. ఇశ్రాయేలు యింటివార లారా, మీరు నామాట వినని యెడల మీరు పెట్టుకొనిన విగ్రహములను, మీ కిష్టమైనట్టుగా పూజించుకొనుడి, గాని మీ అర్పణలచేతను మీ విగ్రహములచేతను నా పరిశుద్ధనామమును అపవిత్రపరచకుడి అని ప్రభువైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

39. Go ahead and worship your idols for now, you Israelites, because soon I will no longer let you dishonor me by offering gifts to them. You will have no choice but to obey me!

40. నిజముగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ఉన్నతమైన కొండయగు నా పరిశుద్ధ పర్వతమందు దేశములోనున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరును నాకు సేవచేయుదురు; ఇదే ప్రభువైన యెహోవా వాక్కు. అచ్చటనే నేను వారిని అంగీకరించెదను. అచ్చటనే మీ ప్రతిష్ఠితమైన యర్పణలను, మీ ప్రథమ ఫలదానములను, ప్రతిష్ఠితములగు మీ కానుకలనన్నిటిని నేనంగీకరించెదను.

40. When that day comes, everyone in Israel will worship me on Mount Zion, my holy mountain in Jerusalem. I will once again call you my own, and I will accept your sacred offerings and sacrifices.

41. జనములలోనుండి నేను మిమ్మును రప్పించునప్పుడును, మిమ్మును చెదరగొట్టిన ఆ యా దేశము లలోనుండి మిమ్మును సమకూర్చునప్పుడును, పరిమళధూపముగా మిమ్మును అంగీకరించెదను, అన్యజనులయెదుటను మీ మధ్యను నన్ను నేను పరిశుద్ధపరచుకొందును.

41. When I bring you home from the places where you are now scattered, I will be pleased with you, just as I am pleased with the smell of the smoke from your sacrifices. Every nation on earth will see that I am holy,

42. మీ పితరులకిచ్చెదనని నేను ప్రమాణ పూర్వకముగా చెప్పిన దేశమునకు, అనగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేశమునకు నేను మిమ్మును రప్పించునప్పుడు నేనే యెహోవానని మీరు తెలిసికొందురు.

42. and you will know that I, the LORD, am the one who brought you back to Israel, the land I promised your ancestors.

43. అచ్చట చేరి మీ ప్రవర్తనను, మిమ్మును మీరు అపవిత్ర పరచుకొనిన మీ క్రియలన్నిటిని మనస్సు నకు తెచ్చుకొని, మీరు చేసిన దుష్‌క్రియలనుబట్టి మిమ్మును మీరే అసహ్యించుకొందురు.

43. Then you will remember your wicked sins, and you will hate yourselves for doing such horrible things. They have made you unacceptable to me,

44. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, మీ దుర్మార్గతనుబట్టియు మీ కాని చేష్టలనుబట్టియు కాక నా నామమునుబట్టియే నేను మీ కీలాగున చేయగా నేనే యెహోవానని మీరు తెలిసికొందురు.

44. so you deserve to be punished. But I will treat you in a way that will bring honor to my name, and you will know that I am the LORD God.

45. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు మరియు యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

45. The LORD said,

46. నరపుత్రుడా, నీ ముఖము దక్షిణపుతట్టు త్రిప్పుకొని దక్షిణదేశమునకు ప్రకటింపుము, దక్షిణదేశపు అరణ్య మునుగూర్చి ప్రవచించి ఇట్లనుము

46. 'Ezekiel, son of man, turn toward the south and warn the forests

47. దక్షిణదేశమా, యెహోవా మాట ఆలకించుము ప్రభువైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా నేను నీలో అగ్ని రాజబెట్టెదను, అది నీలోనున్న పచ్చని చెట్లన్నిటిని ఎండిన చెట్లన్నిటిని దహించును, అది ఆరిపోకుండనుండును, దక్షిణదిక్కు మొదలుకొని ఉత్తరదిక్కువరకు భూముఖమంతయు దాని చేత కాల్చబడును.

47. that I, the LORD God, will start a fire that will burn up every tree, whether green or dry. Nothing will be able to put out the blaze of that fire as it spreads to the north and burns everything in its path.

48. అది ఆరిపోకుండ యెహోవానైన నేను దానిని రాజబెట్టితినని సమస్తమైన జనులకు తెలియబడును.

48. Everyone will know that I started it, and that it cannot be stopped.'

49. అయ్యో ప్రభువా యెహోవా వీడు గూఢ మైన మాటలు పలుకువాడు కాడా అని వారు నన్ను గూర్చి చెప్పుదురని నేనంటిని.

49. But I complained, 'LORD God, I don't want to do that! People already say I confuse them with my messages.'
