1. యెరూషలేము వీధులలో అటు ఇటు పరుగెత్తుచు చూచి తెలిసికొనుడి; దాని రాజవీధులలో విచారణ చేయుడి; న్యాయము జరిగించుచు నమ్మకముగానుండ యత్నించుచున్న ఒకడు మీకు కనబడినయెడల నేను దాని క్షమించుదును.

1. Run to and from by the streetes of Ierusalem, and beholde nowe, and knowe, and inquire in the open places thereof, if ye can finde a man, or if there be any that executeth iudgement, and seeketh the trueth, and I will spare it.

2. యెహోవా జీవముతోడు అను మాట పలికినను వారు మోసమునకై ప్రమాణము చేయుదురు.

2. For though they say, The Lord liueth, yet doe they sweare falsely.

3. యెహోవా, యథార్థతమీదనే గదా నీవు దృష్టి యుంచుచున్నావు? నీవు వారిని కొట్టితివి గాని వారికి దుఃఖము కలుగలేదు; వారిని క్షీణింప జేసియున్నావు గాని వారు శిక్షకు లోబడనొల్లకున్నారు. రాతికంటె తమ ముఖములను కఠినముగా చేసికొనియున్నారు, మళ్లుటకు సమ్మతింపరు.

3. O Lord, are not thine eyes vpon the trueth? thou hast striken them, but they haue not sorowed: thou hast consumed them, but they haue refused to receiue correction: they haue made their faces harder then a stone, and haue refused to returne.

4. నేనిట్లనుకొంటిని వీరు ఎన్నికలేనివారై యుండి యెహోవా మార్గమును, తమ దేవుని న్యాయవిధిని ఎరుగక బుద్ధిహీనులై యున్నారు.

4. Therefore I saide, Surely they are poore, they are foolish, for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the iudgement of their God.

5. ఘనులైనవారియొద్దకు పోయెదను వారితో మాటలాడెదను, వారు యెహోవా మార్గమును, తమ దేవుని న్యాయవిధిని ఎరిగినవారై యుందురుగదా అని నేననుకొంటిని. అయితే ఒకడును తప్పకుండ వారు కాడిని విరిచినవారుగాను కట్లను తెంపు కొనినవారుగాను ఉన్నారు.

5. I will get me vnto the great men, and will speake vnto them: for they haue knowen the way of the Lord, and the iudgement of their God: but these haue altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bondes.

6. వారు తిరుగుబాటుచేసి బహుగా విశ్వాసఘాతకులైరి గనుక అరణ్యమునుండి వచ్చిన సింహము వారిని చంపును, అడవి తోడేలు వారిని నాశనము చేయును, చిరుతపులి వారి పట్టణములయొద్ద పొంచి యుండును, వాటిలోనుండి బయలుదేరు ప్రతివాడు చీల్చబడును.

6. Wherefore a lyon out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolfe of the wildernesse shall destroy them: a leopard shall watch ouer their cities: euery one that goeth out thence, shall be torne in pieces, because their trespasses are many, and their rebellions are increased.

7. నీ పిల్లలు నన్ను విడిచి దైవము కానివాటి తోడని ప్రమాణము చేయుదురు; నేను వారిని తృప్తిగ పోషించినను వారు వ్యభిచారము చేయుచు వేశ్యల ఇండ్లలో గుంపులు కూడుదురు; నేనెట్లు నిన్ను క్షమించుదును?

7. Howe should I spare thee for this? thy children haue forsaken me, and sworne by them that are no gods: though I fed them to the full, yet they committed adulterie, and assembled them selues by companies in the harlots houses.

8. బాగుగా బలిసిన గుఱ్ఱములవలె ప్రతివాడును ఇటు అటు తిరుగుచు తన పొరుగువాని భార్యవెంబడి సకి లించును

8. They rose vp in the morning like fed horses: for euery man neyed after his neighbours wife.

9. అట్టి కార్యములనుబట్టి నేను దండింపకుందునా? అట్టి జనముమీద నా కోపము తీర్చుకొనకుందునా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

9. Shall I not visite for these things, saith the Lord? Shall not my soule be auenged on such a nation as this?

10. దాని ప్రాకారము లెక్కి నాశనముచేయుడి, అయినను నిశ్శేషముగా నాశనముచేయకుడి, దాని శాఖలను కొట్టి వేయుడి. అవి యెహోవావి కావు.

10. Clime vp vpon their walles, and destroy them, but make not a full ende: take away their batilments, for they are not the Lords.

11. ఇశ్రాయేలు వంశస్థులును యూదా వంశస్థులును బహుగా విశ్వాసఘాతకము చేసియున్నారు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

11. For the house of Israel, and the house of Iudah haue grieuously trespassed against me, saith the Lord.

12. వారుపలుకువాడు యెహోవా కాడనియు ఆయన లేడనియు, కీడు మనకు రాదనియు, ఖడ్గమునైనను కరవునైనను చూడ మనియు,

12. They haue denied the Lord, and saide, It is not he, neither shall the plague come vpon vs, neither shall we see sworde nor famine.

13. ప్రవక్తలు గాలి మాటలు పలుకుదురనియు, ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చువాడు వారిలో లేడనియు, తాము చెప్పినట్లు తమకు కలుగుననియు చెప్పుదురు.

13. And the Prophetes shall be as winde, and the worde is not in them: thus shall it come vnto them.

14. కావున సైన్యములకధిపతియు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు వారు ఈ మాటలు పలికినందున నా వాక్యములు వారిని కాల్చునట్లు నీ నోట వాటిని అగ్నిగాను ఈ జనమును కట్టెలుగాను నేను చేసెదను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

14. Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hostes, Because ye speake such wordes, beholde, I will put my wordes into thy mouth, like a fire, and this people shall be as wood, and it shall deuoure them.

15. ఇశ్రాయేలు కుటుంబమువారలారా, ఆలకించుడి, దూర ముననుండి మీ మీదికి ఒక జనమును రప్పించెదను, అది బలమైన జనము పురాతనమైన జనము; దాని భాష నీకు రానిది, ఆ జనులు పలుకుమాటలు నీకు బోధపడవు.

15. Loe, I will bring a nation vpon you from farre, O house of Israel, saith the Lord, which is a mightie nation, and an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither vnderstandest what they say.

16. వారి అమ్ముల పొది తెరచిన సమాధి, వారందరు బలా ఢ్యులు,

16. Whose quiuer is as an open sepulchre: they are all very strong.

17. వారు నీ పంటను నీ ఆహారమును నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీ కుమారులను నీ కుమార్తెలను నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీ గొఱ్ఱెలను నీ పశువులను నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీ ద్రాక్షచెట్ల ఫలమును నీ అంజూరపుచెట్ల ఫలమును నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీకు ఆశ్రయముగానున్న ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములను వారు కత్తిచేత పాడుచేయుదురు.

17. And they shall eate thine haruest and thy bread: they shall deuoure thy sonnes and thy daughters: they shall eate vp thy sheepe and thy bullocks: they shall eate thy vines and thy figge trees: they shall destroy with the sworde thy fenced cities, wherein thou didest trust.

18. అయినను ఆ దినములలో నేను మిమ్మును శేషములేకుండ నశింపజేయను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

18. Neuerthelesse at those dayes, sayth the Lord, I will not make a full ende of you.

19. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా దేనినిబట్టి ఇవన్నియు మాకు చేసెనని వారడుగగా నీవు వారితో ఈలాగనుము మీరు నన్ను విసర్జించి మీ స్వదేశములో అన్యదేవతలను కొలిచి నందుకు, మీదికాని దేశములో మీరు అన్యులను కొలిచెదరు అని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

19. And when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the Lord our God doe these things vnto vs? then shalt thou answere them, Like as ye haue forsaken me and serued strange gods in your land, so shall ye serue strangers in a land that is not yours.

20. యాకోబు వంశస్థులకు ఈ మాట తెలియజేయుడి, యూదా వంశస్థులకు ఈ సమాచారము చాటించుడి

20. Declare this in the house of Iaakob, and publish it in Iudah, saying,

21. కన్నులుండియు చూడకయు చెవులుండియు వినకయు నున్న వివేకములేని మూఢులారా, ఈ మాట వినుడి.

21. Heare nowe this, O foolish people, and without vnderstanding, which haue eyes and see not, which haue eares and heare not.

22. సముద్రము దాటలేకుండునట్లును, దాని తరంగము లెంత పొర్లినను అవి ప్రబలలేకయు, ఎంత ఘోషించినను దాని దాటలేకయు ఉండునట్లును నిత్య నిర్ణయముచేత దానికి ఇసుకను సరిహద్దుగా నియమించిన నాకు మీరు భయ పడరా? నా సన్నిధిని వణకరా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

22. Feare ye not me, saith the Lord? or will ye not be afraide at my presence, which haue placed the sand for the bounds of the sea by the perpetuall decree that it cannot passe it, and though the waues thereof rage, yet can they not preuaile, though they roare, yet can they not passe ouer it?

23. ఈ జనులు తిరుగు బాటును ద్రోహమునుచేయు మనస్సుగల వారు, వారు తిరుగుబాటుచేయుచు తొలగి పోవుచున్నారు.

23. But this people hath an vnfaithfull and rebellious heart: they are departed and gone.

24. వారు రండి మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా యందు భయభక్తులు కలిగియుందము, ఆయనే తొలకరి వర్షమును కడవరి వర్షమును దాని దాని కాలమున కురిపించు వాడు గదా; నిర్ణయింపబడిన కోతకాలపు వారములను ఆయన మనకు రప్పించునని తమ మనస్సులో అనుకొనరు.

24. For they say not in their heart, Let vs nowe feare the Lord our God, that giueth raine both early and late in due season: hee reserueth vnto vs the appointed weekes of the haruest.

25. మీ దోషములు వాటి క్రమమును తప్పించెను, మీకు మేలు కలుగకుండుటకు మీ పాపములే కారణము.

25. Yet your iniquities haue turned away these things, and your sinnes haue hindred good things from you.

26. నా జనులలో దుష్టులున్నారు, పక్షుల వేటకాండ్రు పొంచి యుండునట్లు వారు పొంచియుందురు వారు బోనులు పెట్టుదురు, మనుష్యులను పట్టుకొందురు.

26. For among my people are founde wicked persons, that lay waite as hee that setteth snares: they haue made a pit, to catch men.

27. పంజరము పిట్టలతో నిండియుండునట్లు వారి యిండ్లు కపటముతో నిండియున్నవి, దానిచేతనే వారు గొప్పవారును ఐశ్వర్య వంతులును అగుదురు.

27. As a cage is full of birdes, so are their houses full of deceite: thereby they are become great and waxen riche.

28. వారు క్రొవ్వి బలిసియున్నారు, అంతేకాదు అత్యధికమైన దుష్కార్యములు చేయు చున్నారు, తండ్రిలేనివారు గెలువకుండునట్లు వారి వ్యాజ్యెమును అన్యాయముగా తీర్చుదురు, దీనుల వ్యాజ్యెమును తీర్పునకు రానియ్యరు.

28. They are waxen fat and shining: they doe ouerpasse the deedes of the wicked: they execute no iudgement, no not the iudgement of the fatherlesse: yet they prosper, though they execute no iudgement for the poore.

29. అట్టి వాటిని చూచి నేను శిక్షింపక యుందునా? అట్టి జనులకు నేను ప్రతి దండన చేయకుందునా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

29. Shall I not visite for these things, sayth the Lord? or shall not my soule be auenged on such a nation as this?

30. ఘోరమైన భయంకరకార్యము దేశములో జరుగు చున్నది.

30. An horrible and filthie thing is committed in the land.

31. ప్రవక్తలు అబద్ధప్రవచనములు పలికెదరు, యాజకులు వారి పక్షమున ఏలుబడి చేసెదరు, ఆలాగు జరుగుట నా ప్రజలకు ఇష్టము; దాని ఫలము నొందునప్పుడు మీరేమి చేయుదురు?

31. The Prophets prophesie lies, and ye Priests receiue giftes in their handes, and my people delite therein. What will ye then doe in the ende thereof?
