1. యెరూషలేము వీధులలో అటు ఇటు పరుగెత్తుచు చూచి తెలిసికొనుడి; దాని రాజవీధులలో విచారణ చేయుడి; న్యాయము జరిగించుచు నమ్మకముగానుండ యత్నించుచున్న ఒకడు మీకు కనబడినయెడల నేను దాని క్షమించుదును.

1. Loke thorow Ierusalem, beholde and se: Seke thorow hir stretes also within, yf ye can fynde one man, that doth equall and right, or that laboureth to be faithfull: and I shall spare him (saieth the LORDE)

2. యెహోవా జీవముతోడు అను మాట పలికినను వారు మోసమునకై ప్రమాణము చేయుదురు.

2. For though they can saye: the LORDE lyueth, yet do they sweare to disceaue:

3. యెహోవా, యథార్థతమీదనే గదా నీవు దృష్టి యుంచుచున్నావు? నీవు వారిని కొట్టితివి గాని వారికి దుఃఖము కలుగలేదు; వారిని క్షీణింప జేసియున్నావు గాని వారు శిక్షకు లోబడనొల్లకున్నారు. రాతికంటె తమ ముఖములను కఠినముగా చేసికొనియున్నారు, మళ్లుటకు సమ్మతింపరు.

3. Where as thou (o LORDE) lokest only vpon faith and treuth. Thou hast scourged them, but they toke no repentaunce: thou hast correcte them for amendemet, but they refused thy correction. They made their faces harder then a stone, and wolde not amende.

4. నేనిట్లనుకొంటిని వీరు ఎన్నికలేనివారై యుండి యెహోవా మార్గమును, తమ దేవుని న్యాయవిధిని ఎరుగక బుద్ధిహీనులై యున్నారు.

4. Therfore I thought in my self: peraduenture they are so symple and folish, that they vnderstonde nothinge of the LORDES waye, and iudgmentes of oure God.

5. ఘనులైనవారియొద్దకు పోయెదను వారితో మాటలాడెదను, వారు యెహోవా మార్గమును, తమ దేవుని న్యాయవిధిని ఎరిగినవారై యుందురుగదా అని నేననుకొంటిని. అయితే ఒకడును తప్పకుండ వారు కాడిని విరిచినవారుగాను కట్లను తెంపు కొనినవారుగాను ఉన్నారు.

5. Therfore will I go vnto their heades and rulers, and talke with them: yf they knowe the waye of the LORDE, and the iudgmetes of oure God. But these (in like maner) haue broken the yock, and bursten the bondes in sonder.

6. వారు తిరుగుబాటుచేసి బహుగా విశ్వాసఘాతకులైరి గనుక అరణ్యమునుండి వచ్చిన సింహము వారిని చంపును, అడవి తోడేలు వారిని నాశనము చేయును, చిరుతపులి వారి పట్టణములయొద్ద పొంచి యుండును, వాటిలోనుండి బయలుదేరు ప్రతివాడు చీల్చబడును.

6. Wherfore a lyon out of the wod shal hurte them, and a wolfe in the euenynge shal destroye them. The cat of the mountayne shal lie lurkinge by their cities, to teare in peces all them, that come therout. For their offences are many, and their departinge awaye is greate.

7. నీ పిల్లలు నన్ను విడిచి దైవము కానివాటి తోడని ప్రమాణము చేయుదురు; నేను వారిని తృప్తిగ పోషించినను వారు వ్యభిచారము చేయుచు వేశ్యల ఇండ్లలో గుంపులు కూడుదురు; నేనెట్లు నిన్ను క్షమించుదును?

7. Shulde I then for all this haue mercy vpon the? Thy children haue forsaken me, and sworne by them that are no goddes. And albeit they were bounde to me in mariage, yet they fell to aduoutrie, and haunted harlottes houses.

8. బాగుగా బలిసిన గుఱ్ఱములవలె ప్రతివాడును ఇటు అటు తిరుగుచు తన పొరుగువాని భార్యవెంబడి సకి లించును

8. In the desyre of vnclenly lust they are become like the stoned horse, euery man neyeth at his neghbours wife.

9. అట్టి కార్యములనుబట్టి నేను దండింపకుందునా? అట్టి జనముమీద నా కోపము తీర్చుకొనకుందునా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

9. Shulde I not correcke this, saieth the LORDE? Shulde I not be avenged of euery people, that is like vnto this?

10. దాని ప్రాకారము లెక్కి నాశనముచేయుడి, అయినను నిశ్శేషముగా నాశనముచేయకుడి, దాని శాఖలను కొట్టి వేయుడి. అవి యెహోవావి కావు.

10. Clymme vp vpon their walles, beate them downe, but destroye them not vtterly: cut of their braunches, because they are not the LORDES.

11. ఇశ్రాయేలు వంశస్థులును యూదా వంశస్థులును బహుగా విశ్వాసఘాతకము చేసియున్నారు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

11. For vnfaithfully hath the house of Israel and Iuda forsaken me, saieth the LORDE.

12. వారుపలుకువాడు యెహోవా కాడనియు ఆయన లేడనియు, కీడు మనకు రాదనియు, ఖడ్గమునైనను కరవునైనను చూడ మనియు,

12. They haue denied the LORDE, and sayde: it is not he. Tush, there shall no mi?fortune come vpon vs, we shall se nether swearde ner honger.

13. ప్రవక్తలు గాలి మాటలు పలుకుదురనియు, ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చువాడు వారిలో లేడనియు, తాము చెప్పినట్లు తమకు కలుగుననియు చెప్పుదురు.

13. As for the warnynge of the prophetes, they take it but for wynde, yee there is none of these, which will tell them, that soch thinges shal happen vnto them.

14. కావున సైన్యములకధిపతియు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు వారు ఈ మాటలు పలికినందున నా వాక్యములు వారిని కాల్చునట్లు నీ నోట వాటిని అగ్నిగాను ఈ జనమును కట్టెలుగాను నేను చేసెదను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

14. Wherfore thus saieth the LORDE God of hoostes: because ye speake soch wordes, beholde: The wordes that are in thy mouth will I turne to fyre, and make the people to be wod, that it maye consume them.

15. ఇశ్రాయేలు కుటుంబమువారలారా, ఆలకించుడి, దూర ముననుండి మీ మీదికి ఒక జనమును రప్పించెదను, అది బలమైన జనము పురాతనమైన జనము; దాని భాష నీకు రానిది, ఆ జనులు పలుకుమాటలు నీకు బోధపడవు.

15. Lo, I will bringe a people vpo you from farre, o house of Israel (saieth the LORDE) a mightie people, an olde people, a people whose speach thou knowest not, nether vnderstodest what they saye.

16. వారి అమ్ముల పొది తెరచిన సమాధి, వారందరు బలా ఢ్యులు,

16. Their arowes are sodane death, yee they them selues be very giauntes.

17. వారు నీ పంటను నీ ఆహారమును నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీ కుమారులను నీ కుమార్తెలను నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీ గొఱ్ఱెలను నీ పశువులను నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీ ద్రాక్షచెట్ల ఫలమును నీ అంజూరపుచెట్ల ఫలమును నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీకు ఆశ్రయముగానున్న ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములను వారు కత్తిచేత పాడుచేయుదురు.

17. This people shal eate vp thy frute & thy meate, yee they shal deuoure thy sonnes and thy doughters, thy shepe and thy bullockes. They shall eate vp thy grapes & fyges. As for thy stronge and well fensed cities, wherin thou didest trust, they shal destroye them with the swearde.

18. అయినను ఆ దినములలో నేను మిమ్మును శేషములేకుండ నశింపజేయను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

18. Neuertheles I will not then haue done with you, saieth the LORDE.

19. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా దేనినిబట్టి ఇవన్నియు మాకు చేసెనని వారడుగగా నీవు వారితో ఈలాగనుము మీరు నన్ను విసర్జించి మీ స్వదేశములో అన్యదేవతలను కొలిచి నందుకు, మీదికాని దేశములో మీరు అన్యులను కొలిచెదరు అని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

19. But yf they saye: wherfore doth the LORDE oure God all this vnto vs? Then answere them: because, that like as ye haue forsake me, and serued straunge goddes in youre owne londe, euen so shall ye serue other goddes also in a straunge londe.

20. యాకోబు వంశస్థులకు ఈ మాట తెలియజేయుడి, యూదా వంశస్థులకు ఈ సమాచారము చాటించుడి

20. Preach this vnto the house of Iacob, & crie it out in Iuda, and saye thus:

21. కన్నులుండియు చూడకయు చెవులుండియు వినకయు నున్న వివేకములేని మూఢులారా, ఈ మాట వినుడి.

21. Heare this (thou folish and vndiscrete people.) Ye haue eyes, but ye se not: eares haue ye, but ye heare not.

22. సముద్రము దాటలేకుండునట్లును, దాని తరంగము లెంత పొర్లినను అవి ప్రబలలేకయు, ఎంత ఘోషించినను దాని దాటలేకయు ఉండునట్లును నిత్య నిర్ణయముచేత దానికి ఇసుకను సరిహద్దుగా నియమించిన నాకు మీరు భయ పడరా? నా సన్నిధిని వణకరా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

22. Feare ye not me, saieth the LORDE? Are ye not ashamed, to loke me in the face? which bynde the see with the sonde, so that it can not passe his boundes: For though it rage, yet can it do nothinge: and though the wawes therof do swell, yet maye they not go ouer.

23. ఈ జనులు తిరుగు బాటును ద్రోహమునుచేయు మనస్సుగల వారు, వారు తిరుగుబాటుచేయుచు తొలగి పోవుచున్నారు.

23. But this people hath a false and an obstinate herte, they are departed and gone awaye fro me.

24. వారు రండి మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా యందు భయభక్తులు కలిగియుందము, ఆయనే తొలకరి వర్షమును కడవరి వర్షమును దాని దాని కాలమున కురిపించు వాడు గదా; నిర్ణయింపబడిన కోతకాలపు వారములను ఆయన మనకు రప్పించునని తమ మనస్సులో అనుకొనరు.

24. They thinke not in their hartes: O let vs feare the LORDE oure God, that geueth vs rayne early and late, when nede is: which kepeth euer still the haruest for vs yearly.

25. మీ దోషములు వాటి క్రమమును తప్పించెను, మీకు మేలు కలుగకుండుటకు మీ పాపములే కారణము.

25. Neuertheles youre mi?dedes haue turned these from you, & youre synnes haue robbed you herof.

26. నా జనులలో దుష్టులున్నారు, పక్షుల వేటకాండ్రు పొంచి యుండునట్లు వారు పొంచియుందురు వారు బోనులు పెట్టుదురు, మనుష్యులను పట్టుకొందురు.

26. For amonge my people are founde wicked personnes, that priuely laye snares and waite for men, to take them, and destroye them.

27. పంజరము పిట్టలతో నిండియుండునట్లు వారి యిండ్లు కపటముతో నిండియున్నవి, దానిచేతనే వారు గొప్పవారును ఐశ్వర్య వంతులును అగుదురు.

27. And like as a net is full of byrdes, so are their houses full of that, which they haue gotten with falsede and disceate. Herof cometh their greate substaunce and riches,

28. వారు క్రొవ్వి బలిసియున్నారు, అంతేకాదు అత్యధికమైన దుష్కార్యములు చేయు చున్నారు, తండ్రిలేనివారు గెలువకుండునట్లు వారి వ్యాజ్యెమును అన్యాయముగా తీర్చుదురు, దీనుల వ్యాజ్యెమును తీర్పునకు రానియ్యరు.

28. herof are they fat and welthy, and are runne awaye fro me with shamefull blasphemies. They ministre not the lawe, they make no ende of the fatherlesses cause, they iudge not the poore acordinge to equite.

29. అట్టి వాటిని చూచి నేను శిక్షింపక యుందునా? అట్టి జనులకు నేను ప్రతి దండన చేయకుందునా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

29. Shulde I not punysh these thinges, saieth the LORDE? Shulde I not be avenged of all soch people, as these be?

30. ఘోరమైన భయంకరకార్యము దేశములో జరుగు చున్నది.

30. Horrible and greuous thinges are done in the londe.

31. ప్రవక్తలు అబద్ధప్రవచనములు పలికెదరు, యాజకులు వారి పక్షమున ఏలుబడి చేసెదరు, ఆలాగు జరుగుట నా ప్రజలకు ఇష్టము; దాని ఫలము నొందునప్పుడు మీరేమి చేయుదురు?

31. The prophetes teach falsely, and the prestes folowe them, and my people hath pleasure therin. What will come therof at the last?
