1. ఫరో గాజాను కొట్టకమునుపు ఫిలిష్తీయులనుగూర్చి ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన యెహోవా వాక్కు

1. The wordes of the Lord that came to Ieremiah the Prophet, against the Philistims, before that Pharaoh smote Azzah.

2. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు జలములు ఉత్తరదిక్కునుండి పొర్లి వరదలై మనుష్యులు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టునట్లుగాను దేశనివాసులందరు అంగలార్చునట్లు గాను, దేశముమీదను అందున్న సమస్తముమీదను పట్టణము మీదను దానిలో నివసించు వారిమీదను ప్రవహించును.

2. Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, waters rise vp out of the North, and shalbe as a swelling flood, and shall ouerflowe the land, and all that is therein, and the cities with them that dwell therein: then the men shall crie, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howle,

3. వారి బలమైన గుఱ్ఱముల డెక్కలు నేలతన్ను శబ్దమునకును, అతని రథముల వేగమునకును, అతని చక్రముల ఉరుము వంటి ధ్వనికిని తండ్రులు భయపడి బలహీనులై తమ పిల్లల తట్టు తిరిగి చూడరు.

3. At the noise and stamping of ye hoofes of his strong horses, at the noise of his charets, and at the rumbling of his wheeles: ye fathers shall not looke backe to their children, for feeblenes of handes,

4. ఫిలిష్తీయులనందరిని లయపరచుటకును, తూరు సీదోనులకు సహాయకుడొకడైనను నిలువకుండ అందరిని నిర్మూలము చేయుటకును దినము వచ్చుచున్నది. యెహోవా కఫ్తోరు ద్వీపశేషులైన ఫిలిష్తీయులను నాశనము చేయును,

4. Because of the day that commeth to destroy all the Philistims, and to destroy Tyrus, and Zidon, and all the rest that take their part: for the Lord will destroy the Philistims, the remnant of the yle of Caphtor.

5. గాజా బోడియాయెను, మైదానములో శేషించిన ఆష్కెలోను నాశనమాయెను. ఎన్నాళ్లవరకు నిన్ను నీవే గాయపరచుకొందువు?

5. Baldenes is come vpon Azzah: Ashkelon is cut vp with the rest of their valleys. Howe long wilt thou thy selfe?

6. యెహోవా ఖడ్గమా, యెంత వరకు విశ్రమింపక యుందువు? నీ వరలోనికి దూరి విశ్రమించి ఊరకుండుము.

6. O thou sword of the Lord, how long will it be or thou cease! turne againe into thy scaberd, rest and be still.

7. అష్కెలోనుమీదికిని సముద్ర తీరముమీదికిని పొమ్మని యెహోవా నీకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి యున్నాడు గదా; నీవేలాగు విశ్రమించుదువు? అచ్చటికే పొమ్మని ఆయన ఖడ్గమునకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చియున్నాడు.

7. Howe can it cease, seeing the Lord hath giuen it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea banke? euen there hath he appointed it.
