1. అన్యజనులనుగూర్చి ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన యెహోవా వాక్కు

1. In the beginning of the reign of King Zedekiah, there came this word concerning the nations.

2. ఐగుప్తునుగూర్చిన మాట, అనగా యోషీయా కుమారుడును యూదారాజునైన యెహోయాకీము ఏలుబడియందు నాలుగవ సంవత్సరమున నెబుకద్రెజరు కర్కెమీషులో యూఫ్రటీసునదిదగ్గర ఓడించిన ఫరోనెకో దండును గూర్చిన మాట.

2. For Egypt, against the power of Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt, who was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon struck in the fourth year of Jehoiakim king of Judah:

3. డాలును కేడెమును స్థిరపరచుకొనుడి యుద్ధమునకు రండి

3. Take up arms and spears, and draw close to battle;

4. గుఱ్ఱములను కట్టుడి, రౌతులారా, కవచము తొడిగి ఎక్కుడి శిరస్త్రాణములను ధరించుకొనుడి ఈటెలకు పదును పెట్టుడి కవచములు వేసికొనుడి.

4. and harness the horses. Mount, you horsemen, and stand ready in your helmets; advance the spears, and put on your breastplates.

5. నాకేమి కనబడుచున్నది? వారు ఓడిపోవుచున్నారు వెనుకతీయుచున్నారు వారి బలాఢ్యులు అపజయము నొందుచున్నారు తిరిగిచూడక వేగిరముగా పారిపోవుచున్నారు ఎటుచూచిన భయమే; యెహోవా మాట యిదే.

5. Why do they fear, and turn back? Even because their mighty men shall be slain: They have utterly fled, and being hemmed in they have not rallied, says the Lord.

6. త్వరగ పరుగెత్తువారు పారిపోజాలకున్నారు బలాఢ్యులు తప్పించుకొనజాలకున్నారు ఉత్తరదిక్కున యూఫ్రటీసు నదీతీరమందు వారు తొట్రిల్లిపడుచున్నారు.

6. Let not the swift flee, and let not the mighty man escape to the north. The [forces] at Euphrates have become feeble, and they have fallen.

7. నైలునదీప్రవాహమువలె వచ్చు నితడెవడు? ఇతని జలములు నదులవలె ప్రవహించుచున్నవి

7. Who is this [that] shall come up as a river, and as rivers roll [their] waves?

8. ఐగుప్తీయుల దండు నైలునదివలె ప్రవహించుచున్నది. దాని జలములు తొణకునట్లుగా అది వచ్చుచున్నది. నేనెక్కి భూమిని కప్పెదనుపట్టణమును దాని నివాసులను నాశనము చేసెదను.

8. The waters of Egypt shall come up like a river. And he said, I will go up, and will cover the earth, and will destroy its inhabitants.

9. గుఱ్ఱములారా, యెగురుడి; రథములారా, రేగుడి బలాఢ్యులారా, బయలుదేరుడి డాళ్లు పట్టుకొను కూషీయులును పూతీయులును విలుకాండ్రైన లూదీయులును బయలుదేరవలెను.

9. Mount the horses, prepare the chariots; go forth, you warriors of the Ethiopians, and Libyans armed with shields; and mount, you Libyans, bend the bow.

10. ఇది ప్రభువును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవాకు పగతీర్చు దినము. ఆయన తన శత్రువులకు ప్రతిదండనచేయును ఖడ్గము కడుపార తినును, అది తనివితీర రక్తము త్రాగును. ఉత్తర దేశములో యూఫ్రటీసునదియొద్ద ప్రభువును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా బలి జరి గింప బోవుచున్నాడు.

10. And that day [shall be] to the Lord our God a day of vengeance, to take vengeance on His enemies. And the sword of the Lord shall devour, and be glutted, and be drunken with their blood; for the Lord [has] a sacrifice from the land of the north at the River Euphrates.

11. ఐగుప్తుకుమారీ, కన్యకా, గిలాదునకు వెళ్లి గుగ్గిలము తెచ్చుకొనుము విస్తారమైన ఔషధములు తెచ్చుకొనుట వ్యర్థమే నీకు చికిత్స కలుగదు

11. Go up to Gilead, and take balm for the virgin daughter of Egypt. In vain have you multiplied your medicines; there is no help for you.

12. నీకు సిగ్గుకలిగిన సంగతి జనములకు వినబడెను నీ రోదనధ్వని దేశమందంతట వినబడుచున్నది బలాఢ్యులు బలాఢ్యులను తగిలి కూలుచున్నారు ఒకనిమీద ఒకడు పడి అందరు కూలుదురు.

12. The nations have heard your voice, and the land has been filled with your cry; for the warriors have fainted fighting, one against another, [and] both have fallen together.

13. బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు బయలుదేరి వచ్చి ఐగుప్తీయులను హతముచేయుటను గూర్చి యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన యెహోవా వాక్కు.

13. The words which the Lord spoke by Jeremiah, concerning the coming of the king of Babylon to strike the land of Egypt.

14. ఐగుప్తులో తెలియజేయుడి మిగ్దోలులో ప్రకటింపుడి నొపులోను తహపనేసులోను ప్రకటనచేయుడి ఏమనగాఖడ్గము నీ చుట్టునున్న ప్రదేశములను మింగివేయుచున్నది మీరు లేచి ధైర్యము తెచ్చుకొనుడి.

14. Proclaim [it] at Migdol, and declare [it] at Memphis. Say, Stand up, and prepare; for the sword has devoured your yew tree.

15. నీలో బలవంతులైన వారేల తుడుపు పెట్టబడు చున్నారు? యెహోవా వారిని తోలివేయుచున్నాడు గనుకనే వారు నిలువకున్నారు.

15. Why has Apis fled from you? Your choice calf has not remained; for the Lord has utterly weakened him.

16. ఆయన అనేకులను తొట్రిల్ల జేయుచున్నాడు వారొకనిమీద ఒకడు కూలుచు లెండి, క్రూరమైన ఖడ్గమును తప్పించుకొందము రండి మన స్వజనులయొద్దకు మన జన్మభూమికి వెళ్లుదము రండి అని వారు చెప్పుకొందురు.

16. And your multitude has fainted and fallen; and each one has said to his neighbor, Let us arise, and return into our country to our people, from the Grecian sword.

17. ఐగుప్తురాజగు ఫరో యుక్తసమయము పోగొట్టుకొను వాడనియు వట్టిధ్వని మాత్రమేయని వారచ్చట చాటించిరి.

17. Call on the name of Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt; he has passed the appointed time.

18. పర్వతములలో తాబోరు ఎట్టిదో సముద్రప్రాంతములలో కర్మెలు ఎట్టిదో నా జీవముతోడు అతడు అట్టివాడై వచ్చును రాజును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే.

18. [As] I live, says the Lord God, he shall come, [surely] as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel that is on the sea.

19. ఐగుప్తు నివాసులారా, నొపు పాడైపోవును అది నిర్జనమై కాల్చబడును ప్రయాణమునకు కావలసినవాటిని సిద్ధపరచుకొనుడి.

19. O daughter of Egypt dwelling [at home], prepare for yourselves stuff for removing: for Memphis shall be utterly desolate, and shall be called Woe, because there are no inhabitants in it.

20. ఐగుప్తు అందమైన పెయ్య ఉత్తరదిక్కుననుండి జోరీగ వచ్చుచున్నది వచ్చే యున్నది.

20. Egypt is a fair heifer, [but] destruction from the north has come upon her.

21. పరదేశులైన ఆమె కూలి సిఫాయిలు పెంపుడు దూడల వలె ఉన్నారు వారేగదా వెనుకతట్టు తిరిగిరి యొకడును నిలువకుండ పారిపోయిరి వారికి ఆపద్దినము వచ్చియున్నది శిక్షాదినము వారికాసన్నమాయెను.

21. Also her hired [soldiers] in the midst of her are as fatted calves fed in her; for they also have turned, and fled with one accord. They stood not, for the day of destruction had come upon them, and the time of their retribution.

22. శత్రువులు దండెత్తి వచ్చుచున్నారు మ్రానులు నరుకువారివలె గొడ్డండ్లు పట్టుకొని దాని మీదికి వచ్చుచున్నారు ఆలకించుడి ఆమె ధ్వని ప్రాకిపోవు పాము చప్పుడు వలె వినబడుచున్నది యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే

22. Their voice is as [that] of a hissing serpent, for they go upon the sand. They shall come upon Egypt with axes, as men that cut wood.

23. లెక్కలేనివారై మిడతలకన్న విస్తరింతురు చొర శక్యముకాని ఆమె అరణ్యమును నరికివేయు దురు.

23. They shall cut down her forest, says the Lord, for [their number] cannot at all be determined, for it exceeds the locust in multitude, and they are innumerable.

24. ఐగుప్తు కూమారి అవమానపరచబడును ఉత్తరదేశస్థులకు ఆమె అప్పగింపబడును

24. The daughter of Egypt is confounded; she is delivered into the hands of a people from the north.

25. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నోలోనుండు ఆమోను దేవతను ఫరోను ఐగుప్తును దాని దేవతలను దాని రాజులను ఫరోను అతని నాశ్రయించువారిని నేను దండించు చున్నాను.

25. Behold, I [will] avenge Ammon her son upon Pharaoh, and upon them that trust in him.

26. వారి ప్రాణము తీయజూచు బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు చేతికిని అతని సేవకులచేతికిని వారిని అప్పగించుచున్నాను ఆ తరువాత అది మునుపటివలెనే నివాసస్థలమగును ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

27. నా సేవకుడవైన యాకోబూ, భయపడకుము ఇశ్రాయేలూ, జడియకుము దూరములోనుండి నిన్ను రక్షించుచున్నాను వారున్న చెరలోనుండి నీ సంతతివారిని రక్షించుచున్నాను ఎవరి భయమును లేకుండ యాకోబు తిరిగివచ్చును అతడు నిమ్మళించి నెమ్మదినొందును.

27. But fear not, My servant Jacob, neither be alarmed, Israel; for behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be at ease, and sleep, and there shall be no one to trouble him.

28. నా సేవకుడవైన యాకోబు, నేను నీకు తోడై యున్నాను భయపడకుము నేనెక్కడికి నిన్ను చెదరగొట్టితినో ఆ సమస్త దేశప్రజలను సమూల నాశనము చేసెదను అయితే నిన్ను సమూల నాశనము చేయను నిన్ను శిక్షింపక విడువను గాని న్యాయమునుబట్టి నిన్ను శిక్షించెదను ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

28. Fear not, My servant Jacob, says the Lord; for I am with you. She [that was] without fear and in luxury, has been delivered up; for I will make a full end of every nation among whom I have thrust you forth. But I will not cause you to fail. Yet will I chastise you in the way of judgment, and will not hold you entirely guiltless.
