1. రాజదేహసంరక్షకులకధిపతియైన నెబూజరదాను యెరూషలేములోనుండియు యూదాలోనుండియు బబులోనునకు చెరగా కొనిపోబడిన బందీ జనులందరిలోనుండి, సంకెళ్లచేత కట్టబడియున్న యిర్మీయాను తీసికొని రామాలో నుండి పంపివేయగా, యెహోవా యొద్దనుండి అతనికి ప్రత్యక్షమైన వాక్కు.

1. The message from the Lord came to Jeremiah after he was set free at the city of Ramah. Nebuzaradan, the commander of the king of Babylon's special guards, found Jeremiah in Ramah. Jeremiah was bound with chains. He was with all the captives from Jerusalem and Judah. They were being taken away in captivity to Babylon.

2. రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల కధిపతి యిర్మీయాను అవతలికి తీసికొపోయి అతనితో ఈలాగు మాటలాడెను ఈ స్థలమునకు నేను ఈ కీడు చేసెదనని నీ దేవుడగు యెహోవా ప్రకటించెను గదా.

2. When commander Nebuzaradan found Jeremiah, he spoke to him. He said, 'Jeremiah, the Lord, your God, announced that this disaster would come to this place.

3. తాను చెప్పిన ప్రకారము యెహోవా దాని రప్పించి చేయించెను, మీరు యెహోవాకు విరోధముగా పాపముచేసి ఆయన మాటలు వినక పోతిరి గనుక మీకీగతి పట్టినది.

3. And now the Lord has done everything just as he said he would do. This disaster happened because you people of Judah sinned against the Lord. You didn't obey the Lord.

4. ఆలకించుము, ఈ దినమున నేను నీ చేతుల సంకెళ్లను తీసి నిన్ను విడిపించుచున్నాను, నాతోకూడ బబులోనునకు వచ్చుట మంచిదని నీకు తోచినయెడల రమ్ము, నేను నిన్ను భద్రముగా కాపాడెదను; అయితే బబులోనునకు నాతోకూడ వచ్చుట మంచిదికాదని నీకు తోచినయెడల రావద్దు, దేశమంతట నీకేమియు అడ్డములేదు, ఎక్కడికి వెళ్లుట నీ దృష్టికి అను కూలమో, యెక్కడికి వెళ్లుట మంచిదని నీకు తోచునో అక్కడికి వెళ్లుము.

4. But now, Jeremiah, I will set you free. I am taking the chains off your wrists. If you want to, come with me to Babylon, and I will take good care of you. But if you don't want to come with me, then don't come. Look, the whole country is open to you. Go anywhere you want.

5. Or go back to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan. The king of Babylon has chosen Gedaliah to be governor over the towns of Judah. Go and live with Gedaliah among the people. Or you can go anywhere you want.' Then Nebuzaradan gave Jeremiah some food and a present and let him go.

6. యిర్మీయా మిస్పాలోనుండు అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాయొద్దకు వెళ్లి అతనితో కూడ దేశములో మిగిలిన ప్రజలమధ్య కాపురముండెను.

6. So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah son of Ahikam at Mizpah. He stayed with Gedaliah among those who were left behind in the land of Judah.

7. అయితే అచ్చటచ్చటనుండు సేనల యధిపతులందరును వారి పటాలపువారును, బబులోనురాజు అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాను దేశముమీద అధికారిగా నియమించి, బబులోనునకు చెరగొని పోబడక నిలిచినవారిలో స్త్రీలను పురుషులను పిల్లలను, దేశములోని అతినీరసులైన దరిద్రులను అతనికి అప్పగించెనని వినిరి.

7. There were some soldiers from the army of Judah, officers and their men, still out in the open country when Jerusalem was destroyed. They heard that the king of Babylon had put Gedaliah son of Ahikam in charge of those who were left in the land. Those who were left were men, women, and children who were very poor. They were not carried off to Babylon as captives.

8. కాగా నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలును కారేహ కుమారులైన యోహానాను యోనాతానులును తన్హుమెతు కుమారుడైన శెరాయాయును నెటోపాతీయుడైన ఏపయి కుమారులును మాయ కాతీయుడైనవాని కుమారుడగు యెజన్యాయును వారి పటాలపువారును మిస్పాలో నుండిన గెదల్యాయొద్దకు వచ్చిరి.

8. So the soldiers came to Gedaliah at Mizpah. They were Ishmael son of Nethaniah, Johanan and his brother Jonathan, sons of Kareah, Seraiah son of Tanhumeth, sons of Ephai from Netophah, and Jaazaniah son of the Maacathite, and the men who were with them.

9. అప్పుడు షాఫాను కుమారుడైన అహీకాము కుమారుడగు గెదల్యా ప్రమాణముచేసి వారితోను వారి పటాలపువారితోను ఈలాగు చెప్పెను - మీరు కల్దీయులను సేవించుటకు భయపడకుడి, దేశములో కాపురముండి బబులోనురాజును సేవించినయెడల మీకు మేలు కలుగును.

9. Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, made an oath to make the soldiers and their men feel more secure. This is what he said: 'You soldiers, don't be afraid to serve the Babylonian people. Settle down in the land and serve the king of Babylon. If you do this, things will go well for you.

10. నేనైతేనో నాయొద్దకు వచ్చు కల్దీయుల యెదుట నిలుచుటకై మిస్పాలో కాపురముందును గాని మీరు ద్రాక్షారసమును వేసవికాల ఫలములను తైలమును సమకూర్చుకొని, మీ పాత్రలలో వాటిని పోసికొని మీరు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనిన పట్టణములలో కాపురముండుడి.

10. I myself will live in Mizpah. I will speak for you before the Chaldeans who come here. You leave that work to me. You should harvest the wine, the summer fruit, and the oil. Put what you harvest in your storage jars. Live in the towns that you control.'

11. మోయాబులో నేమి అమ్మోనీయుల మధ్యనేమి ఎదోములో నేమి యేయే ప్రదేశములలోనేమి యున్న యూదులందరు బబులోనురాజు యూదాలో జనశేషమును విడిచెననియు, షాఫాను కుమారుడైన అహీకాము కుమారుడగు గెదల్యాను వారిమీద నియమించెననియు వినినప్పుడు

11. All the people of Judah who were in the countries of Moab, Ammon, Edom, and all the other countries heard that the king of Babylon had left some people of Judah in the land. And they heard that the king of Babylon had chosen Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, to be governor over them.

12. అందరును తాము తోలివేయబడిన స్థలములన్నిటిని విడిచి మిస్పాకు గెదల్యాయొద్దకు వచ్చి బహు విస్తారము ద్రాక్షారసమును వేసవికాలపు పండ్లను సమకూర్చుకొనిరి.

12. When the people of Judah heard this news, they came back to the land of Judah. They came back to Gedaliah at Mizpah from all the countries where they had been scattered. So they came back and gathered a large harvest of wine and summer fruit.

13. మరియు కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును, అచ్చటచ్చటనున్న సేనల యధిపతులందరును మిస్పా లోనున్న గెదల్యాయొద్దకు వచ్చి

13. Johanan son of Kareah and all the officers of the army of Judah who were still in the open country came to Gedaliah. Gedaliah was at the town of Mizpah.

14. నిన్ను చంపుటకు అమ్మోనీయుల రాజైన బయలీను నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలును పంపెనని నీకు తెలియదా అని చెప్పిరి. అయితే అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యా వారి మాట నమ్మలేదు.

14. Johanan and the officers with him said to Gedaliah, 'Do you know that Baalis, the king of the Ammonites, wants to kill you? He has sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to kill you.' But Gedaliah son of Ahikam didn't believe them.

15. కారేహ కుమారుడగు యోహానాను మిస్పాలో గెదల్యాతో రహస్యముగా ఇట్లనెను నీ యొద్దకు కూడివచ్చిన యూదులందరు చెదరిపోవునట్లును, యూదా జనశేషము నశించు నట్లును నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలు నిన్ను చంపనేల?దయచేసి నన్ను వెళ్లనిమ్ము, ఎవనికి తెలియకుండ నేను వానిని చంపెదను.

15. Then Johanan son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in private at Mizpah. Johanan said to Gedaliah, 'Let me go and kill Ishmael son of Nethaniah. No one will know anything about it. We should not let Ishmael kill you. That would cause all the people of Judah who are gathered around you to be scattered to different countries again. And that would mean that the few survivors of Judah would be lost.'

16. అందుకు అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యా కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానుతో ఇష్మాయేలునుగూర్చి నీవు అబద్ధమాడుచున్నావు, నీవాకార్యము చేయకూడదనెను.

16. But Gedaliah son of Ahikam said to Johanan son of Kareah, 'Don't kill Ishmael. The things you are saying about Ishmael are not true.'
