1. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇశ్రాయేలూ, నీవు తిరిగి రానుద్దేశించినయెడల నా యొద్దకే రావలెను, నీవు ఇటు అటు తిరుగుట మాని నీ హేయక్రియలను నా సన్నిధినుండి తొలగించి

1. If Israel will return to Me, says the Lord, he shall return: and if he will remove his abominations out of his mouth, and fear before Me, and swear,

2. సత్యమునుబట్టియు న్యాయమును బట్టియు నీతినిబట్టియు యెహోవా జీవముతోడని ప్రమాణము చేసిన యెడల జనములు ఆయనయందు తమకు ఆశీర్వాదము కలుగుననుకొందురు, ఆయనయందే అతిశయపడుదురు.

2. The Lord lives, with truth, in judgment and righteousness, then shall nations bless by him, and by him they shall praise God in Jerusalem.

3. యూదావారికిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులకును యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ముళ్లపొదలలో విత్తనములు చల్లక మీ బీడుపొలమును దున్నుడి.

3. For thus says the Lord to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Break up fresh ground for yourselves, and sow not among thorns.

4. అవిధేయులై యుండుట మానుకొని మీ దుష్టక్రియలను బట్టి యెవడును ఆర్పివేయలేనంతగా నా ఉగ్రత అగ్నివలె కాల్చకుండునట్లు యూదావారలారా, యెరూషలేము నివాసులారా, యెహోవాకు లోబడియుండుడి.

4. Circumcise yourselves to your God, and circumcise your hardness of heart, you men of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, lest My wrath go forth as fire, and burn, and there be none to quench it, because of the evil of your devices.

5. యూదాలో సమాచారము ప్రకటించుడి, యెరూషలేములో చాటించుడి, దేశములో బూర ఊదుడి, గట్టిగా హెచ్చరిక చేయుడి, ఎట్లనగాప్రాకారముగల పట్టణ ములలోనికి పోవునట్లుగా పోగై రండి.

5. Declare in Judah, and let it be heard in Jerusalem. Say, Sound the trumpet in the land; cry aloud: say, Gather yourselves together, and let us enter into the fortified cities.

6. సీయోను చూచునట్లు ధ్వజము ఎత్తుడి; పారిపోయి తప్పించుకొను టకు ఆలస్యము చేయకుడని చెప్పుడి; యెహోవానగు నేను ఉత్తరదిక్కునుండి కీడును రప్పించుచున్నాను, గొప్ప నాశనమును రప్పించుచున్నాను,

6. Gather up [your wares] and flee to Zion. Hasten, stay not: for I will bring evils from the north, and great destruction.

7. పొదలలో నుండి సింహము బయలుదేరియున్నది; జనముల వినాశకుడు బయలుదేరియున్నాడు, నీ దేశమును నాశనము చేయుటకు అతడు ప్రయాణమై తన నివాసమును విడిచి యున్నాడు, నీ పట్టణములు పాడై నిర్జనముగానుండును.

7. The lion has gone up from his lair, he has roused [himself] to the destruction of the nations, and has gone forth out of his place, to make the land desolate; and the cities shall be destroyed, so as to be without inhabitant.

8. ఇందుకై గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొనుడి; రోదనము చేయుడి, కేకలు వేయుడి, యెహోవా కోపాగ్ని మనమీదికి రాకుండ మానిపోలేదు;

8. For these things gird yourselves with sackcloth and lament, and howl; for the anger of the Lord has not turned away from you.

9. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు. ఆ దినమున రాజును అధిపతులును ఉన్మత్తులగుదురు యాజకులు విభ్రాంతి నొందుదురు, ప్రవక్తలు విస్మయ మొందుదురు.

9. And it shall come to pass in that day, says the Lord, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be amazed, and the prophets shall wonder.

10. అప్పుడు నేనిట్లంటిని కటకటా, యెహోవా ప్రభువా, ఖడ్గము హత్యచేయుచుండగా నీవుమీకు క్షేమము కలుగునని చెప్పి నిశ్చయముగా ఈ ప్రజలను యెరూషలేమును బహుగా మోసపుచ్చితివి.

10. And I said, O sovereign Lord, verily You have deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, There shall be peace; whereas behold, the sword has reached even to their soul.

11. ఆ కాలమున ఈ జనులకును యెరూషలేమునకును ఈలాగు చెప్పబడును అరణ్యమందు చెట్లులేని మెట్టలమీదనుండి వడగాలి నా జనుల కుమార్తెతట్టు విసరుచున్నది; అది తూర్పార పట్టుటకైనను శుద్ధి చేయుటకైనను తగినది కాదు.

11. At that time they shall say to this people and to Jerusalem, [There is] a spirit of error in the wilderness: the way of the daughter of My people is not to purity, nor to holiness.

12. అంతకంటె మిక్కుటమైన గాలి నామీద కొట్టుచున్నది. ఇప్పుడు వారిమీదికి రావలసిన తీర్పులు సెలవిత్తును అని యెహోవా చెప్పుచున్నాడు.

12. [But] a spirit of full vengeance shall come upon Me; and now I declare My judgments against them.

13. మేఘములు కమ్మునట్లు ఆయన వచ్చుచున్నాడు, ఆయన రథములు సుడిగాలివలె నున్నవి, ఆయన గుఱ్ఱములు గద్దలకంటె వేగముగలవి, అయ్యో, మనము దోపుడు సొమ్మయితివిు.

13. Behold, he shall come up as a cloud, and his chariots as a tempest. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us, for we are in misery!

14. యెరూషలేమా, నీవు రక్షింపబడునట్లు నీ హృదయములోనుండి చెడుతనము కడిగివేసికొనుము, ఎన్నాళ్లవరకు నీ దుష్టాభి ప్రాయములు నీకు కలిగియుండును?

14. Cleanse your heart from wickedness, O Jerusalem, that you may be saved; how long will your grievous thoughts be within you?

15. దాను ప్రదేశమున నొకడు ప్రకటన చేయుచున్నాడు, కీడు వచ్చుచున్నదని ఎఫ్రాయిము కొండలయందొకడు చాటించుచున్నాడు,

15. For a voice of one publishing from Dan shall come, and trouble out of Mount Ephraim shall be heard of.

16. ముట్టడి వేయువారు దూరదేశమునుండి వచ్చి యూదా పట్టణములను పట్టుకొందుమని బిగ్గరగా అరచుచున్నారని యెరూషలేమునుగూర్చి ప్రకటనచేయుడి, జనములకు తెలియజేయుడి.

16. Remind the nations; behold, they have come. Proclaim [it] in Jerusalem, that bands are approaching from a land afar off, and have uttered their voice against the cities of Judah.

17. ఆమె నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసెను గనుక వారు చేనికాపరులవలె దానిచుట్టు ముట్టడివేతురు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

17. As keepers of a field, they have surrounded her; because you, says the Lord, have neglected Me.

18. నీ ప్రవర్తనయు నీ క్రియ లును వీటిని నీమీదికి రప్పించెను. నీ చెడుతనమే దీనికి కారణము, ఇది చేదుగానున్నది గదా, నీ హృదయము నంటుచున్నది గదా?

18. Your ways and your devices have brought these things upon you; this is your wickedness, for [it is] bitter, for it has reached to your heart.

19. నా కడుపు, నా కడుపు, నా అంతరంగములో నా కెంతో వేదనగానున్నది; నా గుండె నరములు, నా గుండె కొట్టుకొనుచున్నది, తాళలేను; నా ప్రాణమా, బాకానాదము వినబడుచున్నది గదా, యుద్ధఘోష నీకు వినబడుచున్నది గదా?

19. I am pained in my bowels, my bowels, and the sensitive powers of my heart. My soul is in great commotion, my heart is torn. I will not be silent, for my soul has heard the sound of a trumpet, the cry of war, and of distress: it calls on destruction.

20. కీడు వెంట కీడు వచ్చుచున్నది, దేశమంతయు దోచుకొనబడుచున్నది, నా గుడారములును హఠాత్తుగాను నిమిషములో నా డేరా తెరలును దోచు కొనబడియున్నవి.

20. For all the land is distressed. Suddenly [my] tabernacle is distressed, my curtains have been torn in two.

21. నేను ఎన్నాళ్లు ధ్వజమును చూచుచుండవలెను బూరధ్వని నేనెన్నాళ్లు వినుచుండవలెను?

21. How long shall I see fugitives, and hear the sound of the trumpet?

22. నా జనులు అవివేకులు వారు నన్నెరుగరు, వారుమూఢు లైన పిల్లలు వారికి తెలివిలేదు, కీడుచేయుటకు వారికి తెలియును గాని మేలు చేయుటకు వారికి బుద్ది చాలదు.

22. For the princes of My people have not known Me, they are foolish and unwise children. They are wise to do evil, but [how] to do good they have not known.

23. నేను భూమిని చూడగా అది నిరాకారముగాను శూన్యముగాను ఉండెను; ఆకాశముతట్టు చూడగా అచ్చట వెలుగులేకపోయెను.

23. I looked upon the earth, and behold, [it was] not; and to the sky, and there was no light in it.

24. పర్వతములను చూడగా అవి కంపించుచున్నవి కొండలన్నియు కదులుచున్నవి.

24. I beheld the mountains, and they trembled, and [I saw] all the hills in commotion.

25. నేను చూడగా నరుడొకడును లేకపోయెను, ఆకాశపక్షులన్నియు ఎగిరిపోయియుండెను.

25. I looked, and behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the sky were scared.

26. నేను చూచుచుండగా ఫలవంతమైన భూమి యెడారి ఆయెను, అందులోని పట్టణములన్నియు యెహోవా కోపాగ్నికి నిలువలేక ఆయన యెదుట నుండకుండ పడగొట్టబడియుండెను.

26. I saw, and behold, Carmel was desert, and all the cities were burnt with fire at the presence of the Lord, and at the presence of His fierce anger they were utterly destroyed.

27. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుఈదేశమంతయు పాడగును గాని నిశ్శేషముగా దాని నాశనము చేయను.

27. Thus says the Lord, The whole land shall be desolate; but I will not make a full end.

28. దానినిబట్టి భూమి దుఃఖించుచున్నది, పైన ఆకాశము కారు కమ్మి యున్నది, అయితే నేను దానిని నిర్ణయించినప్పుడు మాట ఇచ్చితిని, నేను పశ్చాత్తాప పడుటలేదు రద్దుచేయుటలేదు.

28. For these things let the earth mourn, and let the sky be dark above. For I have spoken, and I will not relent; I have purposed, and I will not turn back from it.

29. రౌతులును విలు కాండ్రును చేయు ధ్వని విని పట్టణస్థులందరు పారిపోవు చున్నారు, తుప్పలలో దూరుచున్నారు, మెట్టలకు ఎక్కుచున్నారు, ప్రతి పట్టణము నిర్జనమాయెను వాటిలొ నివాసులెవరును లేరు,

29. The whole land has recoiled from the noise of the horseman and the bent bow; they have gone into the caves, and have hidden themselves in the groves, and have gone up upon the rocks: every city was abandoned, no man dwelt in them.

30. దోచుకొన బడినదానా, నీవేమి చేయుదువు? రక్త వర్ణవస్త్రములు కట్టుకొని సువర్ణ భూషణ ములు ధరించి కాటుకచేత నీ కన్నులు పెద్దవిగా చేసి కొనుచున్నావే; నిన్ను నీవు అలంకరించుకొనుట వ్యర్థమే; నీ విటకాండ్రు నిన్ను తృణీకరించుదురు, వారే నీ ప్రాణము తీయ జూచుచున్నారు.

30. And what will you do? Though you clothe yourself with scarlet, and adorn yourself with golden ornaments; though you adorn your eyes with paint, your beauty [shall be] in vain. Your lovers have rejected you, they seek your life.

31. ప్రసవవేదనపడు స్త్రీ కేకలువేయునట్లు, తొలికానుపు కనుచు వేదనపడు స్త్రీ కేకలువేయునట్లు సీయోనుకుమార్తె అయ్యో, నాకు శ్రమ, నరహంతకులపాలై నేను మూర్చిల్లుచున్నాను అని యెగరోజుచు చేతులార్చుచు కేకలువేయుట నాకు వినబడుచున్నది.

31. For I have heard your groaning as the voice of a woman in travail, as of her that brings forth her first child; the voice of the daughter of Zion shall fail through weakness, and she shall lose the strength of her hands, [saying], Woe is me, for my soul faints because of the slain!
