1. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇశ్రాయేలూ, నీవు తిరిగి రానుద్దేశించినయెడల నా యొద్దకే రావలెను, నీవు ఇటు అటు తిరుగుట మాని నీ హేయక్రియలను నా సన్నిధినుండి తొలగించి

1. If thou wilt return, O Israel, Declareth Yahweh, Unto me, mayst thou return, And if thou wilt remove thine abominations from before me, Then shalt thou not become a wanderer.

2. సత్యమునుబట్టియు న్యాయమును బట్టియు నీతినిబట్టియు యెహోవా జీవముతోడని ప్రమాణము చేసిన యెడల జనములు ఆయనయందు తమకు ఆశీర్వాదము కలుగుననుకొందురు, ఆయనయందే అతిశయపడుదురు.

2. If thou wilt swear, By the life of Yahweh! in faithfulness in justice and in righteousness, Then shall the nations bless themselves in him, And, in him, shall they glory.

3. యూదావారికిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులకును యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ముళ్లపొదలలో విత్తనములు చల్లక మీ బీడుపొలమును దున్నుడి.

3. For thus saith Yahweh Unto the men of Judah and unto Jerusalem, Till ye the untilled ground, And do not sow among thorns.

4. అవిధేయులై యుండుట మానుకొని మీ దుష్టక్రియలను బట్టి యెవడును ఆర్పివేయలేనంతగా నా ఉగ్రత అగ్నివలె కాల్చకుండునట్లు యూదావారలారా, యెరూషలేము నివాసులారా, యెహోవాకు లోబడియుండుడి.

4. Circumcise yourselves unto Yahweh So shall ye remove the impurity of your heart, ye men of Judah and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest mine indignation, go forth as fire, and burn and there be none to quench it, Because of the wickedness of your doings.

5. యూదాలో సమాచారము ప్రకటించుడి, యెరూషలేములో చాటించుడి, దేశములో బూర ఊదుడి, గట్టిగా హెచ్చరిక చేయుడి, ఎట్లనగాప్రాకారముగల పట్టణ ములలోనికి పోవునట్లుగా పోగై రండి.

5. Declare ye in Judah And in Jerusalem, let it be heard, And say, Blow ye a horn in the land, Cry, with frill voice And say, Gather yourselves together, And let us enter the defenced cities.

6. సీయోను చూచునట్లు ధ్వజము ఎత్తుడి; పారిపోయి తప్పించుకొను టకు ఆలస్యము చేయకుడని చెప్పుడి; యెహోవానగు నేను ఉత్తరదిక్కునుండి కీడును రప్పించుచున్నాను, గొప్ప నాశనమును రప్పించుచున్నాను,

6. Lift up an ensign Zion-ward, Bring into safety, do not tarry, For, calamity, am, I, bringing in from the North, Even, a great destruction:

7. పొదలలో నుండి సింహము బయలుదేరియున్నది; జనముల వినాశకుడు బయలుదేరియున్నాడు, నీ దేశమును నాశనము చేయుటకు అతడు ప్రయాణమై తన నివాసమును విడిచి యున్నాడు, నీ పట్టణములు పాడై నిర్జనముగానుండును.

7. There hath come up a lion out of his thicket, Yea, a destroyer of nations hath set forward, hath come forth out of his place, To make thy land a desolation, Thy cities, shall fall in ruins, so as to have no inhabitant.

8. ఇందుకై గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొనుడి; రోదనము చేయుడి, కేకలు వేయుడి, యెహోవా కోపాగ్ని మనమీదికి రాకుండ మానిపోలేదు;

8. On this account, gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl, Because the glow of the anger of Yahweh hath not turned from us.

9. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు. ఆ దినమున రాజును అధిపతులును ఉన్మత్తులగుదురు యాజకులు విభ్రాంతి నొందుదురు, ప్రవక్తలు విస్మయ మొందుదురు.

9. And it shall come to pass, in that day, Declareth Yahweh, That the courage of the king shall fail, And the courage of the princes, And the priests shall be astonished, And, the prophets, shall be amazed.

10. అప్పుడు నేనిట్లంటిని కటకటా, యెహోవా ప్రభువా, ఖడ్గము హత్యచేయుచుండగా నీవుమీకు క్షేమము కలుగునని చెప్పి నిశ్చయముగా ఈ ప్రజలను యెరూషలేమును బహుగా మోసపుచ్చితివి.

10. Then said I, Ah! My Lord Yahweh! Surely, thou hast suffered this people and Jerusalem to be beguiled, saying, Peace, shall ye have, whereas the sword shall reach unto the soul.

11. ఆ కాలమున ఈ జనులకును యెరూషలేమునకును ఈలాగు చెప్పబడును అరణ్యమందు చెట్లులేని మెట్టలమీదనుండి వడగాలి నా జనుల కుమార్తెతట్టు విసరుచున్నది; అది తూర్పార పట్టుటకైనను శుద్ధి చేయుటకైనను తగినది కాదు.

11. At that time, shall it be said of this people and of Jerusalem, The sharp wind of the bare heights in the desert, cometh towards the daughter of my people, not to winnow nor to cleanse.

12. అంతకంటె మిక్కుటమైన గాలి నామీద కొట్టుచున్నది. ఇప్పుడు వారిమీదికి రావలసిన తీర్పులు సెలవిత్తును అని యెహోవా చెప్పుచున్నాడు.

12. A wind too strong for these, cometh in for me. Now, will, I also, pronounce sentences upon them:

13. మేఘములు కమ్మునట్లు ఆయన వచ్చుచున్నాడు, ఆయన రథములు సుడిగాలివలె నున్నవి, ఆయన గుఱ్ఱములు గద్దలకంటె వేగముగలవి, అయ్యో, మనము దోపుడు సొమ్మయితివిు.

13. Lo! like clouds, shall he come up, Even as a storm-wind, his chariots, Swifter than eagles, his horses, Woe to us for we are laid waste!

14. యెరూషలేమా, నీవు రక్షింపబడునట్లు నీ హృదయములోనుండి చెడుతనము కడిగివేసికొనుము, ఎన్నాళ్లవరకు నీ దుష్టాభి ప్రాయములు నీకు కలిగియుండును?

14. Wash from wickedness thy heart, O Jerusalem, That thou mayest be saved, How long, shall lodge within thee thy wicked devices?

15. దాను ప్రదేశమున నొకడు ప్రకటన చేయుచున్నాడు, కీడు వచ్చుచున్నదని ఎఫ్రాయిము కొండలయందొకడు చాటించుచున్నాడు,

15. For a voice, declareth from Dan, And publisheth trouble from the hill country of Ephraim.

16. ముట్టడి వేయువారు దూరదేశమునుండి వచ్చి యూదా పట్టణములను పట్టుకొందుమని బిగ్గరగా అరచుచున్నారని యెరూషలేమునుగూర్చి ప్రకటనచేయుడి, జనములకు తెలియజేయుడి.

16. Put ye in mind the nations Lo! publish ye against Jerusalem, Blockaders! are coming in from a land afar off, And have uttered against the cities of Judah their voice:

17. ఆమె నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసెను గనుక వారు చేనికాపరులవలె దానిచుట్టు ముట్టడివేతురు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

17. As the keepers of a field, have they come against her round about, For against me, hath she rebelled, Declareth Yahweh.

18. నీ ప్రవర్తనయు నీ క్రియ లును వీటిని నీమీదికి రప్పించెను. నీ చెడుతనమే దీనికి కారణము, ఇది చేదుగానున్నది గదా, నీ హృదయము నంటుచున్నది గదా?

18. Thine own way And thine own doings, Have done these things unto thee, This thy wickedness, Surely it is bitter, Surely it hath reached unto thy heart.

19. నా కడుపు, నా కడుపు, నా అంతరంగములో నా కెంతో వేదనగానున్నది; నా గుండె నరములు, నా గుండె కొట్టుకొనుచున్నది, తాళలేను; నా ప్రాణమా, బాకానాదము వినబడుచున్నది గదా, యుద్ధఘోష నీకు వినబడుచున్నది గదా?

19. My bowels! My bowels! I am pained in the walls of my heart My heart beateth aloud to me I cannot be still! For the sound of a horn, hast thou heard O my soul, The loud shout of war!

20. కీడు వెంట కీడు వచ్చుచున్నది, దేశమంతయు దోచుకొనబడుచున్నది, నా గుడారములును హఠాత్తుగాను నిమిషములో నా డేరా తెరలును దోచు కొనబడియున్నవి.

20. Breach upon breach, they cry, For ruined, is all the land, Suddenly, are ruined my tents, In a moment, my curtains!

21. నేను ఎన్నాళ్లు ధ్వజమును చూచుచుండవలెను బూరధ్వని నేనెన్నాళ్లు వినుచుండవలెను?

21. How long shall I keep on seeing a standard, continue to hear the sound of a horn?

22. నా జనులు అవివేకులు వారు నన్నెరుగరు, వారుమూఢు లైన పిల్లలు వారికి తెలివిలేదు, కీడుచేయుటకు వారికి తెలియును గాని మేలు చేయుటకు వారికి బుద్ది చాలదు.

22. Surely, perverse, is my people Me, have they not known, Foolish sons, they are, Yea without understanding, they are: Wise, they are to commit wickedness, But how to do well, they know not!

23. నేను భూమిని చూడగా అది నిరాకారముగాను శూన్యముగాను ఉండెను; ఆకాశముతట్టు చూడగా అచ్చట వెలుగులేకపోయెను.

23. I beheld, The earth; and lo! it was waste and wild, The heavens also and their light was not:

24. పర్వతములను చూడగా అవి కంపించుచున్నవి కొండలన్నియు కదులుచున్నవి.

24. I beheld, The mountains, and lo! they were trembling, And all the hills, had been violently moved:

25. నేను చూడగా నరుడొకడును లేకపోయెను, ఆకాశపక్షులన్నియు ఎగిరిపోయియుండెను.

25. I beheld, And lo! there was no human being, Yea, all the birds of the heavens! had fled:

26. నేను చూచుచుండగా ఫలవంతమైన భూమి యెడారి ఆయెను, అందులోని పట్టణములన్నియు యెహోవా కోపాగ్నికి నిలువలేక ఆయన యెదుట నుండకుండ పడగొట్టబడియుండెను.

26. I beheld, And lo! the garden-land, was a desert, And, all its cities, had been broken down, Because of Yahweh, Because of the glow of his anger!

27. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుఈదేశమంతయు పాడగును గాని నిశ్శేషముగా దాని నాశనము చేయను.

27. For, thus, saith Yahweh, A desolation, shall all the land become Nevertheless a full end, will I not make.

28. దానినిబట్టి భూమి దుఃఖించుచున్నది, పైన ఆకాశము కారు కమ్మి యున్నది, అయితే నేను దానిని నిర్ణయించినప్పుడు మాట ఇచ్చితిని, నేను పశ్చాత్తాప పడుటలేదు రద్దుచేయుటలేదు.

28. For this cause, shall the land mourn, and the heavens above be overcast: Because I have spoken have purposed, and have not repented nor will I turn back therefrom.

29. రౌతులును విలు కాండ్రును చేయు ధ్వని విని పట్టణస్థులందరు పారిపోవు చున్నారు, తుప్పలలో దూరుచున్నారు, మెట్టలకు ఎక్కుచున్నారు, ప్రతి పట్టణము నిర్జనమాయెను వాటిలొ నివాసులెవరును లేరు,

29. At the noise of horseman and archer, The whole city is in flight, They have entered dark thickets, Yea unto the crags, have they gone up, Every city, is forsaken, There remaineth not in them a man!

30. దోచుకొన బడినదానా, నీవేమి చేయుదువు? రక్త వర్ణవస్త్రములు కట్టుకొని సువర్ణ భూషణ ములు ధరించి కాటుకచేత నీ కన్నులు పెద్దవిగా చేసి కొనుచున్నావే; నిన్ను నీవు అలంకరించుకొనుట వ్యర్థమే; నీ విటకాండ్రు నిన్ను తృణీకరించుదురు, వారే నీ ప్రాణము తీయ జూచుచున్నారు.

30. And when, thou, art laid waste, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothe thyself with crimson Though thou deck thyself with ornaments of gold Though thou enlarge with antimony thine eyes, In vain, shalt thou make thyself fair, Paramours have rejected thee, Thy life, will they seek!

31. ప్రసవవేదనపడు స్త్రీ కేకలువేయునట్లు, తొలికానుపు కనుచు వేదనపడు స్త్రీ కేకలువేయునట్లు సీయోనుకుమార్తె అయ్యో, నాకు శ్రమ, నరహంతకులపాలై నేను మూర్చిల్లుచున్నాను అని యెగరోజుచు చేతులార్చుచు కేకలువేయుట నాకు వినబడుచున్నది.

31. For a voice as of a woman in pangs, have I heard Anguish as of her that is bearing her firstborn. The voice of the daughter of Zion! She gaspeth for breath, She spreadeth forth her palms, Surely woe to me! For my soul fainteth before murderers.
