1. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇశ్రాయేలూ, నీవు తిరిగి రానుద్దేశించినయెడల నా యొద్దకే రావలెను, నీవు ఇటు అటు తిరుగుట మాని నీ హేయక్రియలను నా సన్నిధినుండి తొలగించి

1. This message is from the Lord. 'Israel, if you want to come back, then come back to me. Throw away your idols. Don't wander away from me.

2. సత్యమునుబట్టియు న్యాయమును బట్టియు నీతినిబట్టియు యెహోవా జీవముతోడని ప్రమాణము చేసిన యెడల జనములు ఆయనయందు తమకు ఆశీర్వాదము కలుగుననుకొందురు, ఆయనయందే అతిశయపడుదురు.

2. If you do these things, then you will be able to use my name to make a promise. You will be able to say, 'As the Lord lives.' You will be able to use these words in a truthful, honest, and right way. If you do these things, the nations will be blessed by the Lord. They will brag about what the Lord has done.'

3. యూదావారికిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులకును యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ముళ్లపొదలలో విత్తనములు చల్లక మీ బీడుపొలమును దున్నుడి.

3. This is what the Lord says to the man of Judah and to Jerusalem: 'Your fields have not been plowed. Plow those fields! Don't plant seeds among the thorns.

4. అవిధేయులై యుండుట మానుకొని మీ దుష్టక్రియలను బట్టి యెవడును ఆర్పివేయలేనంతగా నా ఉగ్రత అగ్నివలె కాల్చకుండునట్లు యూదావారలారా, యెరూషలేము నివాసులారా, యెహోవాకు లోబడియుండుడి.

4. Become the Lord's people. Change your hearts. Men of Judah and people of Jerusalem, if you don't change, then I will become very angry. My anger will spread fast like a fire, and it will burn you up. No one will be able to put out that fire, because of the evil you have done.'

5. యూదాలో సమాచారము ప్రకటించుడి, యెరూషలేములో చాటించుడి, దేశములో బూర ఊదుడి, గట్టిగా హెచ్చరిక చేయుడి, ఎట్లనగాప్రాకారముగల పట్టణ ములలోనికి పోవునట్లుగా పోగై రండి.

5. 'Give this message to the people of Judah: Tell everyone in the city of Jerusalem: 'Blow the trumpet all over the country.' Shout out loud and say, 'Come together! Let us all escape to the strong cities for protection.'

6. సీయోను చూచునట్లు ధ్వజము ఎత్తుడి; పారిపోయి తప్పించుకొను టకు ఆలస్యము చేయకుడని చెప్పుడి; యెహోవానగు నేను ఉత్తరదిక్కునుండి కీడును రప్పించుచున్నాను, గొప్ప నాశనమును రప్పించుచున్నాను,

6. Raise the signal flag toward Zion. Run for your lives! Don't wait! Do this because I am bringing disaster from the north. I am bringing terrible destruction.'

7. పొదలలో నుండి సింహము బయలుదేరియున్నది; జనముల వినాశకుడు బయలుదేరియున్నాడు, నీ దేశమును నాశనము చేయుటకు అతడు ప్రయాణమై తన నివాసమును విడిచి యున్నాడు, నీ పట్టణములు పాడై నిర్జనముగానుండును.

7. A lion has come out of his cave. A destroyer of nations has begun to march. He has left his home to destroy your land. Your towns will be destroyed. There will be no one left to live in them.

8. ఇందుకై గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొనుడి; రోదనము చేయుడి, కేకలు వేయుడి, యెహోవా కోపాగ్ని మనమీదికి రాకుండ మానిపోలేదు;

8. The Lord is angry with us, so put on sackcloth and cry out loud!'

9. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు. ఆ దినమున రాజును అధిపతులును ఉన్మత్తులగుదురు యాజకులు విభ్రాంతి నొందుదురు, ప్రవక్తలు విస్మయ మొందుదురు.

9. The Lord says, 'When this happens, the king and his officers will lose their courage. The priests will be scared, and the prophets will be shocked.'

10. అప్పుడు నేనిట్లంటిని కటకటా, యెహోవా ప్రభువా, ఖడ్గము హత్యచేయుచుండగా నీవుమీకు క్షేమము కలుగునని చెప్పి నిశ్చయముగా ఈ ప్రజలను యెరూషలేమును బహుగా మోసపుచ్చితివి.

10. Then I, Jeremiah, said, 'Lord God, you have tricked the people of Judah and Jerusalem. You said to them, 'You will have peace.' But now the sword is pointing at their throats!'

11. ఆ కాలమున ఈ జనులకును యెరూషలేమునకును ఈలాగు చెప్పబడును అరణ్యమందు చెట్లులేని మెట్టలమీదనుండి వడగాలి నా జనుల కుమార్తెతట్టు విసరుచున్నది; అది తూర్పార పట్టుటకైనను శుద్ధి చేయుటకైనను తగినది కాదు.

11. At that time this message will be given to the people of Judah and Jerusalem: 'A hot wind blows from the bare hills. It comes from the desert to my people. It is not like the gentle wind that is used to separate the grain from the chaff.

12. అంతకంటె మిక్కుటమైన గాలి నామీద కొట్టుచున్నది. ఇప్పుడు వారిమీదికి రావలసిన తీర్పులు సెలవిత్తును అని యెహోవా చెప్పుచున్నాడు.

12. It is a stronger wind than that, and it comes from me. Now I will announce my judgment against the people of Judah.'

13. మేఘములు కమ్మునట్లు ఆయన వచ్చుచున్నాడు, ఆయన రథములు సుడిగాలివలె నున్నవి, ఆయన గుఱ్ఱములు గద్దలకంటె వేగముగలవి, అయ్యో, మనము దోపుడు సొమ్మయితివిు.

13. Look! The enemy rises up like a cloud. His chariots look like a windstorm. His horses are faster than eagles. It will be very bad for us! We are ruined!

14. యెరూషలేమా, నీవు రక్షింపబడునట్లు నీ హృదయములోనుండి చెడుతనము కడిగివేసికొనుము, ఎన్నాళ్లవరకు నీ దుష్టాభి ప్రాయములు నీకు కలిగియుండును?

14. People of Jerusalem, wash the evil from your hearts. Make your hearts pure so that you can be saved. Don't continue making evil plans.

15. దాను ప్రదేశమున నొకడు ప్రకటన చేయుచున్నాడు, కీడు వచ్చుచున్నదని ఎఫ్రాయిము కొండలయందొకడు చాటించుచున్నాడు,

15. Listen! The voice of a messenger from the land of Dan is speaking. Someone is bringing bad news from the hill country of Ephraim.

16. ముట్టడి వేయువారు దూరదేశమునుండి వచ్చి యూదా పట్టణములను పట్టుకొందుమని బిగ్గరగా అరచుచున్నారని యెరూషలేమునుగూర్చి ప్రకటనచేయుడి, జనములకు తెలియజేయుడి.

16. Report it to this nation. Spread the news to the people in Jerusalem. Enemies are coming from a faraway country. They are shouting words of war against the cities of Judah.

17. ఆమె నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసెను గనుక వారు చేనికాపరులవలె దానిచుట్టు ముట్టడివేతురు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

17. The enemy has surrounded Jerusalem like men guarding a field. Judah, you turned against me, so the enemy is coming against you.' This message is from the Lord.

18. నీ ప్రవర్తనయు నీ క్రియ లును వీటిని నీమీదికి రప్పించెను. నీ చెడుతనమే దీనికి కారణము, ఇది చేదుగానున్నది గదా, నీ హృదయము నంటుచున్నది గదా?

18. The way you lived and the things you did brought this trouble to you. It is your evil that made your life so hard. Your evil life brought the pain that hurts deep in your heart.'

19. నా కడుపు, నా కడుపు, నా అంతరంగములో నా కెంతో వేదనగానున్నది; నా గుండె నరములు, నా గుండె కొట్టుకొనుచున్నది, తాళలేను; నా ప్రాణమా, బాకానాదము వినబడుచున్నది గదా, యుద్ధఘోష నీకు వినబడుచున్నది గదా?

19. My sadness and worry is making my stomach hurt. I am bent over in pain. I am so afraid. My heart is pounding inside me. I cannot keep quiet, because I have heard the trumpet blow. The trumpet is calling the army to war.

20. కీడు వెంట కీడు వచ్చుచున్నది, దేశమంతయు దోచుకొనబడుచున్నది, నా గుడారములును హఠాత్తుగాను నిమిషములో నా డేరా తెరలును దోచు కొనబడియున్నవి.

20. Disaster follows disaster! The whole country is destroyed! Suddenly my tents are destroyed! My curtains are torn down!

21. నేను ఎన్నాళ్లు ధ్వజమును చూచుచుండవలెను బూరధ్వని నేనెన్నాళ్లు వినుచుండవలెను?

21. Lord, how long must I see the war flags? How long must I hear the war trumpets?

22. నా జనులు అవివేకులు వారు నన్నెరుగరు, వారుమూఢు లైన పిల్లలు వారికి తెలివిలేదు, కీడుచేయుటకు వారికి తెలియును గాని మేలు చేయుటకు వారికి బుద్ది చాలదు.

22. The Lord said, 'My people are foolish. They don't know me. They are stupid children. They don't understand. They are skillful at doing evil, but they don't know how to do good.'

23. నేను భూమిని చూడగా అది నిరాకారముగాను శూన్యముగాను ఉండెను; ఆకాశముతట్టు చూడగా అచ్చట వెలుగులేకపోయెను.

23. I looked at the earth. It was empty; there was nothing on it. I looked at the sky, and its light was gone.

24. పర్వతములను చూడగా అవి కంపించుచున్నవి కొండలన్నియు కదులుచున్నవి.

24. I looked at the mountains, and they were shaking. All the hills were trembling.

25. నేను చూడగా నరుడొకడును లేకపోయెను, ఆకాశపక్షులన్నియు ఎగిరిపోయియుండెను.

25. I looked, but there were no people. All the birds of the sky had flown away.

26. నేను చూచుచుండగా ఫలవంతమైన భూమి యెడారి ఆయెను, అందులోని పట్టణములన్నియు యెహోవా కోపాగ్నికి నిలువలేక ఆయన యెదుట నుండకుండ పడగొట్టబడియుండెను.

26. I looked, and the good land had become a desert. All the cities in that land were destroyed by the Lord and his great anger.

27. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుఈదేశమంతయు పాడగును గాని నిశ్శేషముగా దాని నాశనము చేయను.

27. This is what the Lord says: 'The whole country will be ruined, but I will not completely destroy the land.

28. దానినిబట్టి భూమి దుఃఖించుచున్నది, పైన ఆకాశము కారు కమ్మి యున్నది, అయితే నేను దానిని నిర్ణయించినప్పుడు మాట ఇచ్చితిని, నేను పశ్చాత్తాప పడుటలేదు రద్దుచేయుటలేదు.

28. So the people in the land will cry for the dead. The sky will grow dark. I have spoken and will not change. I have made a decision, and I will not change my mind.'

29. రౌతులును విలు కాండ్రును చేయు ధ్వని విని పట్టణస్థులందరు పారిపోవు చున్నారు, తుప్పలలో దూరుచున్నారు, మెట్టలకు ఎక్కుచున్నారు, ప్రతి పట్టణము నిర్జనమాయెను వాటిలొ నివాసులెవరును లేరు,

29. The people of Judah will hear the sound of the horse soldiers and the archers, and the people will run away! Some of them will hide in caves; some will hide in the bushes; some will climb up into the rocks. All the cities of Judah will be empty. No one will live in them.

30. దోచుకొన బడినదానా, నీవేమి చేయుదువు? రక్త వర్ణవస్త్రములు కట్టుకొని సువర్ణ భూషణ ములు ధరించి కాటుకచేత నీ కన్నులు పెద్దవిగా చేసి కొనుచున్నావే; నిన్ను నీవు అలంకరించుకొనుట వ్యర్థమే; నీ విటకాండ్రు నిన్ను తృణీకరించుదురు, వారే నీ ప్రాణము తీయ జూచుచున్నారు.

30. Judah, you have been destroyed. So what are you doing now? Why are you putting on your best red dress? Why are you putting on your gold jewelry? Why are you putting on your eye makeup? You make yourself beautiful, but it is a waste of time. Your lovers hate you. They are trying to kill you.

31. ప్రసవవేదనపడు స్త్రీ కేకలువేయునట్లు, తొలికానుపు కనుచు వేదనపడు స్త్రీ కేకలువేయునట్లు సీయోనుకుమార్తె అయ్యో, నాకు శ్రమ, నరహంతకులపాలై నేను మూర్చిల్లుచున్నాను అని యెగరోజుచు చేతులార్చుచు కేకలువేయుట నాకు వినబడుచున్నది.

31. I hear a cry like a woman giving birth. There is a scream like a woman giving birth to her first baby. It is the cry of Daughter Zion. She is lifting her hands in prayer, saying, 'Oh! I am about to faint! Murderers are all around me!'
