1. మరియు యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

1. And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying;

2. నీవు వెళ్లి యెరూషలేము నివాసుల చెవులలో ఈ సమాచారము ప్రకటింపుము. యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా - నీవు అరణ్యములోను, విత్తనములు వేయదగనిదేశములోను, నన్ను వెంబడించుచు నీ ¸యౌవనకాలములో నీవు చూపిన అనురాగమును నీ వైవాహిక ప్రేమను నేను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుచున్నాను.

2. Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem saying Thus saith Yahweh, I remember in thy behalf, the lovingkindness of thy youthful days, The love of thy bridal estate, Thy coming out after me, Through the desert, Through a land, not sown:

3. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలు యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితజనమును, ఆయన రాబడికి ప్రథమ ఫలమును ఆయెను, అతని లయపరచువారందరు శిక్షకు పాత్రులైరి, వారికి కీడు సంభవించును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

3. Holiness, was Israel unto Yahweh, The first-fruit of his increase, All that devoured it, were held guilty, Calamity used to come upon them, Declareth Yahweh.

4. యాకోబు ఇంటివారలారా, ఇశ్రాయేలు ఇంటివారలారా, మీరందరు యెహోవా వాక్కు వినుడి.

4. Hear ye the word of Yahweh O house of Jacob, And all the families of the house of Israel.

5. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు - నాయందు ఏ దుర్నీతి చూచి మీ పితరులు వ్యర్థమైనదాని ననుసరించి, తాము వ్యర్థులగునట్లు నాయొద్దనుండి దూరముగా తొలగి పోయిరి?

5. Thus, saith Yahweh, What did your fathers find in me by way of perversity, that they removed far from me, and went after vanity, and became vain?

6. ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి మమ్మును రప్పించిన యెహోవా యెక్కడ నున్నాడని అరణ్యములో అనగా, ఎడారులు, గోతులుగల దేశములో అనావృష్టియు గాఢాంధకారమును కలిగి, యెవరును సంచారమైనను నివాసమైనను చేయని దేశములో మమ్మును నడిపించిన యెహోవా యెక్కడ ఉన్నాడని జనులు అడుగుటలేదు.

6. Neither said they, Where is Yahweh, Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, Who led us Through the desert, Through a land of wastes and clefts, Through a land of parched places and of death-shade, Through a land, Along which no man had passed, And in which no son of earth dwelt?

7. దాని ఫలములను శ్రేష్ఠపదార్థములను తినునట్లు నేను ఫలవంతమైన దేశములోనికి మిమ్మును రప్పింపగా మీరు ప్రవేశించి, నా దేశమును అపవిత్రపరచి నా స్యాస్థ్యమును హేయమైనదిగా చేసితిరి.

7. Then brought I you into a country of garden land, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof, and yet when ye entered, then defiled ye my land, and mine inheritance, ye made an abomination

8. యెహోవా యెక్కడ ఉన్నాడని యాజకులడుగరు, ధర్మశాస్త్రోపదేశకులు నన్నెరుగరు, ఏలికలును నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేయుదురు. ప్రవక్తలు బయలుపేరట ప్రవచనములు చెప్పుదురు నిష్‌ప్రయోజనమైనవాటిని అనుసరింతురు

8. The priests, said not Where is Yahweh? And, they who handled the law, did not acknowledge me, And the shepherds transgressed against me, And the prophets, prophesied by Baal, And so after things that could not profit, did they walk.

9. కావున నేనికమీదట మీతోను మీ పిల్లల పిల్లలతోను వ్యాజ్యెమాడెదను; ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.

9. Therefore yet further will I plead with you Declareth Yahweh, Yea with your children's children, will I plead.

10. కీత్తీయుల ద్వీపములకు పోయి చూడుడి, కేదారునకు దూతలను పంపి బాగుగా విచారించి తెలిసికొనుడి. మీలో జరిగిన ప్రకారము ఎక్కడనైనను జరిగినదా?

10. For pass through the coastlands of the West and see, And unto Kedar, send ye and consider diligently, And see whether there hath been the like of this!

11. దైవత్వము లేని తమ దేవతలను ఏ జనమైనను ఎప్పుడైనను మార్చుకొనెనా? అయినను నా ప్రజలు ప్రయోజనము లేనిదానికై తమ మహిమను మార్చుకొనిరి.

11. Hath a nation, changed gods, although they were No-gods? Yet my people have changed my glory for that which could not profit!

12. ఆకాశమా, దీనిబట్టి విస్మయ పడుము, కంపించుము, బొత్తిగా పాడై పొమ్ము; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

12. Be amazed, O ye heavens, at this, And shudder, be dried up utterly, Urgeth Yahweh.

13. నా జనులు రెండు నేరములు చేసియున్నారు, జీవజలముల ఊటనైన నన్ను విడిచి యున్నారు, తమకొరకు తొట్లను, అనగా బద్దలై నీళ్లు నిలువని తొట్లను తొలిపించుకొనియున్నారు.

13. For two wicked things, have my people committed, Me, have they forsaken a fountain of living water, To hew out for themselves cisterns broken cisterns, that cannot hold water.

14. ఇశ్రాయేలు కొనబడిన దాసుడా? యింటపుట్టిన దాసుడా? కాడు గదా; అతడేల దోపుడుసొమ్మాయెను?

14. Was Israel a servant? Born in the house, was he? Wherefore hath he become a prey?

15. కొదమ సింహములు వానిపైని బొబ్బలు పెట్టెను గర్జించెను, అవి అతని దేశము పాడుచేసెను, అతని పట్టణములు నివాసులులేక పాడా యెను.

15. Against him, have been roaring wild lions, They have uttered their voice, and have made his land a desolation, His cities, have been burned, so as to have no inhabitant.

16. నోపు, తహపనేసు అను పట్టణములవారు నీ నెత్తిని బద్దలు చేసిరి.

16. Even the sons of Noph and Tahpanhes have been crushing the crown of the head.

17. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను మార్గ ములో నడిపించుచుండగా నీవు ఆయనను విసర్జించుట వలన నీకు నీవే యీ బాధ కలుగజేసికొంటివి గదా.

17. Is not this what thou wast certain to do for thyself, in that thou didst forsake Yahweh thy God, when he was leading thee by the way?

18. నీవు షీహోరు నీళ్లు త్రాగుటకు ఐగుప్తు మార్గములో నీకేమి పనియున్నది? యూఫ్రటీసునది నీళ్లు త్రాగుటకు అష్షూరు మార్గములో నీకేమి పనియున్నది.

18. Now, therefore what hast thou to do with the way to Egypt, to drink the waters of Shihor? Or what hast thou to do with the way to Assyria, to drink the waters of the River?

19. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను విసర్జించుటయు, నీకు నా యెడల భయ భక్తులు లేకుండుటయు, బాధకును శ్రమకును కారణమగు నని నీవు తెలిసికొని గ్రహించునట్లు నీ చెడుతనము నిన్ను శిక్షించును, నీవు చేసిన ద్రోహము నిన్ను గద్దించునని ప్రభువును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా సెల విచ్చుచున్నాడు.

19. Let thy wickedness correct thee And thine apostasies, rebuke thee, Know therefore and see That it is a wicked thing and a bitter, that thou shouldest have forsaken Yahweh thy God, And that the dread of me should not have pertained to thee, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh of hosts.

20. పూర్వ కాలమునుండి నేను నీ కాడిని విరుగగొట్టి నీ బంధకములను తెంపివేసితినినేను సేవచేయనని చెప్పుచున్నావు; ఎత్తయిన ప్రతి కొండమీదను పచ్చని ప్రతి చెట్టుక్రిందను వేశ్యవలె క్రీడించుచున్నావు.

20. For, in age-past time, I brake thy yoke, I tare off thy fetters, And thou saidst, I will not transgress, Nevertheless, on every high hill, and under every green tree, wast thou lying down as an unchaste woman.

21. శ్రేష్ఠమైన ద్రాక్షావల్లివంటి దానిగా నేను నిన్ను నాటి తిని; కేవలము నిక్కమైన విత్తనమువలని చెట్టు వంటిదానిగా నిన్ను నాటితిని; నాకు జాతిహీనపు ద్రాక్షావల్లివలె నీ వెట్లు భ్రష్టసంతాన మైతివి?

21. Yet, I, planted thee a precious vine, a wholly true seed, How then didst thou change thyself towards me, into the degenerate plantings of the alien vine?

22. నీవు క్షారముతో కడుగుకొనినను విస్తారమైన సబ్బు రాచుకొనినను నీ దోషము మరకవలె నాకు కనబడుచున్నది; ఇది ప్రభువగు యెహోవా వాక్కు.

22. For though thou wash thee with nitre, And take thee much soap, Yet is thine iniquity inscribed before me Declareth My Lord Yahweh.

23. నేను అపవిత్రత నొందినదానను కాను, బయలు దేవతల ననుసరించి పోవుదానను కాను అని నీవు ఎట్లనుకొందువు? లోయలో నీ మార్గమును చూడుము, నీవు చేసినదాని తెలిసికొనుము, నీవు త్రోవలలో ఇటు అటు తిరుగులాడు వడిగల ఒంటెవు,

23. How canst thou say, I have not defiled myself, After the Baalim, have I not gone? See thy way, in the valley, Own what thou hast done, A nimble young she-camel, crossing her own ways;

24. అరణ్యమునకు అల వాటు పడిన అడవి గాడిదవు, అది దాని కామాతురతవలన గాలి పీల్చును, కలిసికొనునప్పుడు దాని త్రిప్పగల వాడెవడు? దాని వెదకు గాడిదలలో ఏదియు అలసి యుండదు, దాని మాసములో అది కనబడును.

24. A wild ass, taught of the desert, In the desire of her soul, she snuffeth the wind, In her occasion, who can turn her back? None who seek her, will weary themselves, In her month, they shall find her!

25. జాగ్రత్త పడి నీ పాదములకు చెప్పులు తొడుగుకొనుము, నీ గొంతుక దప్పిగొన కుండునట్లు జాగ్రత్తపడుము అని నేను చెప్పినను నీవుఆ మాట వ్యర్థము, వినను, అన్యులను మోహించితిని, వారి వెంబడి పోదునని చెప్పుచున్నావు.

25. Withhold thy foot from being unshod, And thy throat from thirst! But thou saidst Hopeless! No! for I love foreigners and after them, will I go.

26. దొరికిన దొంగ సిగ్గుపడునట్లు ఇశ్రాయేలుకుటుంబము వారు సిగ్గుపడుదురునీవు మా తండ్రివని మ్రానుతోనునీవే నన్ను పుట్టించితివని రాతితోను చెప్పుచు, వారును వారి రాజులును వారి అధిపతులును వారి యాజకులును వారి ప్రవక్తలును అవమానము నొందుదురు.

26. As the shame of a thief when he is found, So, hath been put to shame, the house of Israel, They, their kings their princes, and their priests and their prophets:

27. వారు నా తట్టు ముఖము త్రిప్పుకొనక వీపునే త్రిప్పుకొనిరి; అయినను ఆపత్కాలములోలేచి మమ్మును రక్షింపుమని వారు మనవి చేయుదురు.

27. Saying, to a tree, My father, art thou! And to a stone, Thou, didst give us birth, For they have turned unto me the back and not the face, But in the time of their calamity, they will say, Arise, and save us!

28. నీకు నీవు చేసికొనిన దేవతలు ఎక్కడ నున్నవి? అవి నీ ఆపత్కాలములో లేచి నిన్ను రక్షించు నేమో; యూదా, నీ పట్టణములెన్నో నీ దేవతలన్నియే గదా.

28. Where then are thy gods which thou hast made for thyself? Let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy calamity, For according to the number of thy cities, have become thy gods O Judah.

29. మీరందరు నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసినవారు, నాతో ఎందుకు వాదించుదురని యెహోవా అడుగుచున్నాడు.

29. Wherefore, should ye plead against me, All of you, have transgressed against me Declareth Yahweh.

30. నేను మీ పిల్లలను హతముచేయుట వ్యర్థమే; వారు శిక్షకు లోబడరు; నాశనవాంఛగల సింహమువలె మీ ఖడ్గము మీ ప్రవక్తలను సంహరించు చున్నది.

30. In vain, have I smitten your children, Correction, have they not accepted, Your sword hath devoured your prophets, as a lion that destroyeth.

31. ఈ తరమువార లారా, యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు మాట లక్ష్యపెట్టుడినేను ఇశ్రాయేలునకు అరణ్యము వలెనైతినా? గాఢాంధకార దేశమువలెనైతినా? మేము స్వేచ్ఛగా తిరుగులాడువార మైతివిు; ఇకను నీయొద్దకు రామని నా ప్రజలేల చెప్పు చున్నారు?

31. O generation see, ye, the word of Yahweh, A desert, became I unto Israel? Or a land of thick darkness? Wherefore, have my people said, We have roved about, We will not come in any more unto thee?

32. కన్యక తన ఆభరణములను మరచునా? పెండ్లికుమారి తన ఒడ్డాణమును మరచునా? నా ప్రజలు లెక్కలేనన్ని దినములు నన్ను మరచియున్నారు.

32. Can, a virgin, forget, her ornaments, A bride, her girdle? Yet, my people, have forgotten me, days without number.

33. కామము తీర్చుకొనుటకై నీవెంతో ఉపాయముగా నటించుచున్నావు; అందువలన నీ కార్యములు చేయుటకు చెడుస్త్రీలకు నేర్పితివి గదా.

33. How thou dost make winsome thy way, to seek love! Therefore, even unto wicked women, hast thou taught thy ways.

34. మరియు నిర్ధోషులైన దీనుల ప్రాణరక్తము నీ బట్ట చెంగులమీద కనబడుచున్నది; కన్నములలోనే కాదు గాని నీ బట్టలన్నిటిమీదను కనబడు చున్నది.

34. Even in thy skirts, is there found, The blood of the lives of the helpless innocents, Not in the act of breaking in, didst thou find them, yet the blood is on all these.

35. అయినను నీవునేను నిర్దోషిని, నిశ్చయముగా ఆయన కోపము నామీదనుండి తొలగిపోయెనని చెప్పు కొనుచున్నావు. ఇదిగోపాపము చేయలేదని నీవు చెప్పిన దానిబట్టి నీతో నాకు వ్యాజ్యెము కలిగినది.

35. Although thou saidst, Because I am innocent, surely hath his anger turned back from me, Behold me! entering into judgment with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned!

36. నీ మార్గము మార్చు కొనుటకు నీవేల ఇటు అటు తిరుగులాడుచున్నావు? నీవు అష్షూరును ఆధారము చేసికొని సిగ్గుపడినట్లు ఐగుప్తును ఆధారము చేసికొని సిగ్గుపడెదవు.

36. How vigorously, thou goest about changing thy way! Even of Egypt, shalt thou be ashamed, just as thou wast ashamed of Assyria:

37. చేతులు నెత్తిని బెట్టుకొని ఆ జనమునొద్దనుండి బయలు వెళ్లెదవు; యెహోవా నీ ఆశ్రయములను నిరాకరించుచున్నాడు. వాటివలన నీకు క్షేమము కలుగదు.

37. Even from this one, shalt thou go forth, with thy hands upon thy head, For Yahweh hath rejected those in whom thou confidest, and thou shalt not prosper with them.
